Lillian Fridley, 73, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton with burial in the Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton; and continues one hour before the service Tuesday at the church.
She is survived by her husband, Earl of Valley View Manor Nursing Home in Lamberton; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Gary Veenstra of Springfield; grandchildren, Travis and Tracee Veenstra of Springfield; sisters, Evelyn Ekstrand of Salt Lake City, Utah, Helen and husband Arden Ewert of Sebeka, Irene and husband Raymond Weber of Sanborn; brother, Marvin and wife Elve Koch of Bloomington; sister-in-law, Doris and husband Floyd Zimmerli of Wabasso.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert Koch, Raymond Koch, Walter Koch, sister, Edna Weber and brothers-in-law Jerry Ekstrand and Edwin Weber.
She was born April 2, 1927, to Ernest and Bertha (Wilsterman) Koch in Willow Lake Township. She graduated from Sanborn High School. After completing teacher training, she taught country school in Cottonwood County.
She married Earl Fridley on June 5, 1947, in Lamberton. They farmed in Waterbury Township northwest of Lamberton. After retiring, they moved into Lamberton.
She was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church until her illness in November 1999. She moved from her home to Valley View Apartments and later to Valley View Manor.

Inga Erickson, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Old Westbrook Lutheran Church in rural Westbrook with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday and will continue one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David and Marily Erickson of Hayfield, Marlow and Diane Erickson of Hayfield and Keith and Joan Erickson of Luverne, daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Lee Huls of Belle Plaine; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Kronback.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey; sisters, Myrtle Fisher, Clara Knutson, Ethel Bjorngaard and Esther Counts; and brothers, Neal, Clifford and Selmer Swanson.
She was born Dec. 29, 1913, to Ole and Inga Caroline (Engebretson) Swenson in Westbrook Township. She graduated from Westbrook High School. She married Harvey Erickson Sept. 20, 1935. They farmed and then retired to the Valley View Apartments in Lamberton in December 1988. She was a member of Old Westbrook Lutheran Church where she was active in the church WLCA and mission circles. She wrote a pageant for the 100th anniversary of the Old Westbrook Church which was celebrated in 1970. She was a member of 4-H and also a garden club. She was a volunteer at the Valley View Manor.

Lori Ann (Kuehn) Williams, 36, of North Mankato, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Services are 6 p.m. Wednesday at Messiah Lutheran Church in North Mankato.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive, and one hour before services at the church on Wednesday. There will also be visitation from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial following in Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Williams and children, Cherish and Jadde, all of North Mankato; mother, June Kuehn of Redwood Falls; father, Melvin Kuehn and his wife Phyllis of Dassel; brother, David Kuehn and his wife Peggy of Echo; grandmother, Mildred Kuehn of Vesta; father- and mother-in-law, Dean Sr. and Sandra Williams of Renville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Geneva Welch, Gus Kuehn; and a nephew, Seth Kuehn.
She was born July 28,1964, in Redwood Falls, to Melvin and June (Welch) Kuehn. She graduated in 1983 from Belview High School and in 1985 from Willmar Community College with an Associate Degree in the chemical dependency counseling program. She worked two years at Kandiyohi County Boys Home in Willmar On Dec. 28, 1985, she married Daniel Williams in Belview. She graduated from Mankato State with a degree in corrections and probation. She did her internship at Blue Earth County Community Corrections Office in Mankato and was a Sheriff;s Youth Program Group Home counselor in Mankato.
In 1992, she and her husband moved to Milaca She was employed for Mid-State Court Services Department as a probation officer for two years. They returned to the Mankato area in 1994. She was currently employed by the Blue Earth County Community Corrections as a probation officer and victim-offender mediator.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in North Mankato and was past chairperson for the Minnesota Association of County Probation Officers. During her youth, she participated in the Miss Teen Minnesota Pageant in St. Cloud. She was a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.

Maxwell LuMar Johnson, 1, of Owatonna, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at home from complications of Sandhoff disease.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Burial will be in the Lafayette 1st Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lafayette.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna and continues 9-10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Owatonna.
He was born March 28, 1999, in Owatonna, to Steven and Koby (Martin) Johnson. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Owatonna.
Memorials are preferred to the Owatonna Hospice or to the Hospice House.
He is survived by parents, Steven and Koby Johnson of Owatonna; maternal grandmother, William and Marge Jurgens of Washougal, Wash.; maternal grandfather, Donald and Pearlye Warner of Lake Havasu City, Aria.; paternal grandparents: LuMar and Bette Johnson of Lafayette; paternal great-grandmother, Bertha Nelson of St. Peter; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dorothy L. Price, 77 of Lake Crystal died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.
Services are 10:30 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Lake Crystal with burial in Lake Crystal Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before services today at church.
Memorials may be given to donor's choice.
Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Maldwyn Price of Madelia; sons and their wives, Jeffrey and Barbara Price of St. James, and Richard and Susan Price of New Ulm; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister and her husband, Jo and Stanley Stokesbary of Mankato; sister-in-law, Ardella Price of rural Lake Crystal; brother-in-law, Llewelyn "Red" Price of Hanska; two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Delbert Vought; and nephew, Brian Stokesbary.
She was born Dec.15, 1923, in St. James to John and Selma (Larson) Vought. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School. She married Maldwyn Price on Dec. 5, 1942, in Lake Crystal. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Crystal and Ladies Aid.

Fred J. Kahle, 80, of Inver Grove Heights died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001.
Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 3535 72nd St. E., Inver Grove Heights, with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Roberts Funeral Home, 8109 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights, with a parish vigil at 7 p.m.; and continues one hour before Mass at the church.
He is survived by wife, Marjorie; children and their spouses, James, Joan and Bill, Nancy and Michael, Mark and Sue, Laura and John; six grandchildren; brothers; Dr. Marvin Kahle and Roman Kahle.
He received his early musical training in New Ulm. At age 11, he became a first violinist with the New Ulm Symphony Orchestra. In the late 1930s and early 1940s, he played with such bands as Guy De Leo. Al Menke, Amby Meyer, Tiny Little and others. At the beginning of World War 11 he enlisted in the Army and spent five years as first trombonist with the 215 CA (AA) Band and 84th Army Ground Forces Band.
After discharge from the Army, he resumed playing with various bands. In 1948 he enrolled at MacPhail College of Music and in 1952 received a master's degree in music education. He taught bands and music in the public schools at Jeffers and Fairfax and for 24 years at South St. Paul Public Schools. He retired from teaching in 1992, but he remained active in free lance musical work, including strolling violinist and bid band trombonist. During his musical career he played with more than 100 bands and orchestras. He was an elected to the Twin City Evergreen Club and inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame. He was a life member of the Twin Cities Musicians Union Local 30-73. He was a member of Minneapolis-Richfield Legion Post 435 band and American Legion Post 435.

Laura Anton, 94, of Morgan, formerly of Wabasso, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Gil-Mor Manor, Morgan.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Redwood Falls. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, rural Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to services at the church. Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, is handling arrangements.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Marlys Rhode and husband, Duane; Gary Liebl and wife, Karen; Janet Davis and husband, Bill; Judy Aschcraft and husband, Don; Gerald Magin; Jerome Magin and wife, Donna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Cherie Ness on Sept. 29, 1969; brothers, George Martin Magin at age five months, George Henry Magin; sisters, Clara Magin, Josephine Liebl and Blanche Liebl; and nephew, Marvin Liebl.
She was born May 18, 1906, north of Wabasso in Vail Township, Redwood County, to Martin and Annie (Hardeggar) Magin. She lived with her family in Vail Township and attended country school. She lived on the home place until her marriage to Frank Anton. They lived and farmed in the Wabasso area for many years. He died April 18, 1969. She then moved to Minneapolis for a time and then moved to Springfield, where she lived for several years. In July 1998, she became a resident in Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan.

Wilbur H. Adema, 64, of Winthrop died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at his home.
Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. today at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop, with full military rites by the Winthrop Honor Guard. Private burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation is 7:30-8 a.m. today at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He is survived by his children, Harold Adema and his wife, Deb of Sundance, Wyo., Richard Adema and his wife, Laura of Barnard, S.D., Dawn Neiters and her husband, Steve of Elk River, Ward Adema of Utica, S.D., Bart Adema and his wife, Jackie of Winthrop and Chad Adema and Melanie of Winthrop; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; parents, Henry and Hilda Adema of Springfield, S.D., brothers, James Adema and his wife, Clarice of Mitchell, S.D., Mel Adema and his wife, Norma of Sioux City, Iowa, and Don Adema and his wife, Jan of Winthrop; sisters, Joyce Deide and her husband, Gary of Utica, S.D., Joann Tucker and her husband, Jerry of Springfield, S.D.; special aunt, Irene Schneider and her husband, Jim of Springfield, S.D., and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold in infancy in 1938.
Wilbur Henry Adema was born June 26, 1936, in Springfield, S.D. to Henry and Hilda (Hento) Adema. He attended country school and Northwest Junior College in Orange City, Iowa. He farmed for two years near Springfield, S.D. He owned and operated Perkin's General Store for several years. He served in the Army National Guard from June 1957 until June 1963.
He moved to rural Lafayette and began farming in the fall of 1969. He moved to Winthrop in 1970. He worked as an A.I. technician for Minnesota Valley Breeders for eight years. He retired from farming and continued living on his farm site until December 1996, when he moved to Sunset Apartments in Winthrop. He moved to Sibley Estates West Apartments in Winthrop in February 2000.
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop, where he was active as usher, Sunday school teacher, choir member, confirmation mentor, and assisted with the Tent Makers program.
He was a member of the Winthrop American Legion, Post 314 and served as past second vice commander. He was a member of the Winthrop Lions Club, where he served as tailtwister and assisted with bingo. He was Winthrop's Emergency Management Coordinator and a charter member of the Winthrop swimming pool fundraising committee. He also did volunteer work at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center.
He was past president for the Sibley County Farm Bureau, PTA, Winthrop Senior Citizens, and Winthrop Health Services Board. He also served on the Winthrop School Board and belonged to the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce. He was a charter member of the Winthrop Kiwanis Club and a 4-H Leader. He served as district and state delegate for the Sibley County Republican Party, as district chairman for Mid-American Dairymen, and as officer and director for Sibley County and District American Dairy Association.

Eugene Teggatz, 77, of New Ulm, formerly of Mentor, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial was held Monday with burial at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Mentor.
Johnson Funeral Service, Red Lake Falls, handled arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine; children, Beverly Bean of New Ulm, John of Milwaukee, Nancy and husband, Tom Taylor of Maple Plain, Elaine and husband, Steve Hudok of Anoka, Carolyn and husband, John Meyer of New Ulm, Earl and wife, Susan of Chicago; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Louis of Temple City, Calif., Raymond of McMinnville, Ore.; sisters, Margaret Carl of Tacoma, Wash., Lyda Grendahl of Hillsboro, Wis., Dorothy Burr of Garden Grove, Calif., Lily Schmaltz of Hillsboro, N.D., Bernice Hangsleben of East Grand Forks; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Carl; son, Eugene Michael; and a son-in-law, Bobby Don Bean.
He was born Sept. 29, 1923, in Reynolds, N.D., to George and Brita (Nash) Teggatz. He grew up in the Grand Forks, N.D., area, moving to rural Mentor in 1938. He married Josephine Schindler of Red Lake Falls on July 24, 1945. They lived and farmed near Mentor until 1985. He worked at the American Crystal Sugar Company in Crookston and at the Detroiter Mobile Home in Red Lake Falls. The couple spent their winters in Clarksville, Ark., from 1979 to 1988. In 1988, they moved to New Ulm.

Clara Anderson, 93, of Hector, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at the Bums Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, at First Lutheran Church in Hector with burial in the Hector City Cemetery.
Arrangements are handled by Hughes Funeral Home.

Grace Trautman, 91, of Springfield, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Springfield, with burial in Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield.
She is survived by daughter, Laurice Massey of Rochester; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Cleo Olson of Sleepy Eye and Mercedes Borseth of Windom; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and LaDonna Robinson of Windom and Marion and Lorraine Nikoley of Owatonna.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lloyd in 1980; sisters, Mildred, Margaret and Esther; and brothers, Allan, James and Leonard.
She was born Nov. 21, 1909, in Comfrey to Ivar and Margaret (Baier) Wallin. She attended teacher's training in Windom and Mankato. She married Lloyd Trautman on March 21, 1931, in Sleepy Eye. They lived in Stately Township before moving to Springfield in 1970. She taught school in Brown and Cottonwood counties and substituted and tutored at Comfrey High School. She was a long-time member of Springfield United Methodist Church and the Congregational Church in Comfrey. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in New Ulm, serving as past Worthy Matron, the Springfield American Legion Auxiliary, Noweta Garden Club in Comfrey, the Springfield Garden Club and St. John Lutheran Home Auxiliary. She also volunteered at St. John's Home.

Pearl Meier, 85, of Fairfax, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Fairfax Community Home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, with burial in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery, Cairo Township, Renville County.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Dave Buboltz and Nancy and Dallas Fromm, both of Fairfax; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Dorothy Ryan of Southlake, Texas and Robert Ryan of Wheatridge, Colo.; sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Wynns of Fort Worth, Texas, Margie Gale of Naples, Fla., Dorothy and Carl Leach of Bridgeport, Texas and Pauline Hess of Fairfax; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip in 1973; brothers, John Ryan Jr. and Joe Ryan; and sisters, Helen Dunn and Maxine Ryan.
She was born May 22, 1915, in Bridgeport, Texas, to John and Ethel (White) Ryan. She married Philip Meier on Nov. 7, 1940, in Fairfax. They lived in Fairfax. She entered the Fairfax Community Home last December.
