Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, with burial in Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. on Monday at Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton and one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by her children, Judith and James Kuehl of Lamberton, James and Shirley Luttman of Coon Rapids, Jerry and Joanne Luttman of Redwood Falls, Jeanne and James Eykyn of Minot, N.D., and John and Jane Luttman of Lamberton; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; a sister LeMae Healy of New Hope; a brother Andrew Fredrickson of Brooklyn Park; a sister-in-law Doris and husband Otto Fredrich of New Grove, Neb.; a cousin Alta Luttman of New Grove; brothers-in-law Francis Hartwig of Fairmont, Ind., and Don Bloedow of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ross Luttman; sisters, Margery in infancy, Marion Bloedow and Jean Hartwig; brother-in-law, Clyde Healy and sister-in-law Marie Fredrickson.
She was born May 16, 1919, in Lamberton, to Bernhard (Ben) and Anita (Hanneman) Fredrickson. She graduated from Lamberton High School in 1937. She married H. Ross Luttman on April 7, 1938, at her parents' home in Lamberton. They lived in Newman Grove, Neb., for 19 years. They moved to Lamberton in October 1955. She worked at the Town Cafe, Gamble Store and Our Own Hardware for 10 years. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Verla Ruth Marti, 86, of Sleepy Eye, died Nov. 12, 2001, at her home in Sleepy Eye.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye, with burial in Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 4 - 9 p.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by her husband, Oliver, of Sleepy Eye; children and their spouses, Roger and Marsha, of Sleepy Eye, James and Marcia Jo, of Sleepy Eye, Floyd and Brenda, of Sleepy Eye, and Shirley and Charles Cuykendall of Freeville, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Glayd Marti of Sleepy Eye, Gladys Marti of Alexandria, and Dorothy Romberg of Sleepy Eye; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Julius Zaske; brother, Benjamin Darwin and wife Irene Schultz.
She was born March 15, 1915, in Sleepy Eye, to Ben and Ella (Berkner) Schultz. She grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye graduating in 1933. She attended nurses training for one year in Minneapolis before returning to Sleepy Eye where she worked as a hired girl to help young mothers. She married Oliver Marti on March 10, 1936, at the family farm. She started the Brown County Junior Holstein Association that later grew into the Minnesota State Junior Association. She was a member and past president of the Sleepy Eye Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Progressive Homemaker Extension Group. She was a Sunday School Superintendent and teacher for many years. She was a member and past president of Women Society of Christian Service which is now the UMW. She was a 4-H Club Leader for many years and a Minnesota State Outstanding 4-H Club Leader.

Marjorie 'Marj' V. Peterson, 83, of Arlington, died Nov. 17, 2001, at Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington with burial at the Arlington Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, one hour prior to service at the church.
Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling arrangements.
She is survived by her sons, Rich (Diane) Peterson of Litchfield and Steve (Elia) Peterson of Arlington; five grandchildren, Todd (Lynn) Peterson, Kara (Peter) Anderley and Jessica, Kale, and Bridget Peterson; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy on March 31, 1991; brothers, Gordon, Merrill, Raymond, Clarence, and Clifford Swenson; and two sisters, Cora Boettcher, and Irene Wolff.
She was born on March 5, 1918, in New Sweden, to Peter and Mathilda (Anderson) Swenson. She married Roy G. Peterson on Nov. 17,1937, in New Sweden. She was a homemaker. They owned and operated the Coast-to-Coast Hardware in Arlington from 1955-1975.

Margaret E. Cady, 94, of Springfield, died Nov. 16, 2001, at Springfield Medical Center.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield with burial in St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughter, Cleora Rickers of Springfield; granddaughter, Kathy Cady of Osceola, Wis.; grandsons, Terry Rickers of Danube, Kim Rickers of Springfield, Kevin Gramentz of California, Randy Gramentz of California; great-granddaughter Tammy Haverland; great-grandson, Kenneth Urman, and special friend Milly Otto.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest N. Cady; son, Robert; son-in-law, John "Curly" Rickers; and great-grandson Cody Siem; brothers, Charles, Louis, Fred, Clarence, Joseph, Ray and Roy; and sisters, Elsie Heinzer and Mary Kreitinger.
Margaretha "Margaret" 'Evelyn Heinzer was born on Aug. 15, 1907, to Alois and Louisa (Guepfer) Heinzer in Saum, Minn. Her mother died when Margaret was nine and then she went to live with her older sister in Golva, N.D., where she grew up and attended school. She moved to Springfield to live with her father when she was 17, in 1925. She married Ernest "Stemmy" N. Cady on May 10, 1927, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. She worked at the Corner Cafe, Thole's Cafe and Vic Anderson's Cafe, She also worked as a companion for Stella Thomas for several years.She was one of the first Avon Ladies in Springfield. She did volunteer work in the community. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. She belonged to card clubs and the Springfield Senior Citizens.

Grace Welke, 86, of New Ulm, and formerly of Hanska, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran church in Hanska with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Firle Funeral Home in Hanska and continues one hour before services Wednesday at the church.

LeRoy Timm, 84, of Cottonwood, died Nov. 17, 2001, at the Parkview Home in Belview.
Services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Posen Township, near Wood Lake with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be today at St. Luke's Lutheran Church from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Kulow Funeral Service of Echo handled arrangements.

Audrey Mattson Bryan, 53, of Eau Claire, daughter of Con and Arline of Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire of cancer.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
She is survived by husband, the Rev. Thomas Bryan; daughters, Erica and Nicole; parents, Con and Arline Mattson of Sleepy Eye; three brothers and two sisters.
She was born Sept. 15, 1948, in St. Peter. She graduated from Sleepy Eye High School and St. Olaf College. She was professor of nursing at the University of Wisconsin at EauClaire.

Edgar J. Hoffmann, 80, of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at his home.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye.
He is survived by his children, Gary and wife Marie Hoffmann of Worthington, Joel Hoffmann of New Ulm, Mark Hoffmann of Sleepy Eye and fiancee Sharyl Van-t Hul of Mankato, and Daune and husband Lynn Soukup of Sleepy Eye; daughter-in-law, Germaine Michels of Hanska; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Bertrand of Sleepy Eye, Catherine and husband Jack Terrell of Sun City, Ariz., Elizabeth "Betty" Henricher of Flandreau, S.D., and Hilda Fritz of Sleepy Eye; sisters-in-law, Velma Hoffmann of Sleepy Eye, Rosemary H. Kral of Sleepy Eye, and Adeline and husband Bill Harpil Of Glencoe; brother-in-law, Paul Branster of Loveland, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Deane in 1992; son, Scott; daughter-in-law, Renee Hoffmann; brothers, Leo, Art, Marcel, and Eugene; sisters, Esther Miller and Leona Branster.
He was born March 14,1921, Granville, Iowa, to Eugene and Elizabeth (Boover) Hoffmann. When he was two years old, he moved with his family to a farm north of Sleepy Eye. He attended St. Mary's School in Sleepy Eye. He farmed in the Sleepy Eye area. He married Donna Deane Berkner on Sept. 4, 1948, at St. Mary's Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple farmed near Sleepy Eye for a few years. He then started Commercial Poultry Farming. He retired in 1983. They later moved into Sleepy Eye. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Eau Claire with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today in the church assembly room and Wednesday at the church, an hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the scholarship fund in her memory for the School of Nursing at UW-Eau Claire or St. John's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Thomas Bryan; daughters, Erica and Nicole of Eau Claire; parents, Conrad and Arline Mattson of Sleepy Eye; sisters, Carol (Mike) Francis, Becky (Ron) Kanengieter; e brothers, Daniel Mattson, Randy (Kathy) Mattson and Ross (Kate) Mattson; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was born Sept. 15, 1948, in St. Peter. She graduated from St. Olaf College in 1970 with a nursing degree. She worked at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Minneapolis and as a school nurse in St. Paul. She married Thomas W. Bryan in 1972. They lived in Spokane, Wash., where she taught nursing at a technical college. They moved to the Twin Cities where she earned a master's degree in Public Health and became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of Minnesota. She later worked at the Washburn County Wisconsin Public Health Agency, the Spooner Clinic, was an assistant professor of nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In 1991, she returned to the University of Minnesota where she earned a doctorate degree in 1995. She returned to UW Eau Claire and was promoted to associate professor. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.

Grace L. Welke, 86 of New Ulm, formerly of Hanska, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001 at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Hanska, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Firle Funeral Home, Hanska, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Survivors include daughters, Leatrice Ellanson and husband Duane of New Ulm, Sharon Miller and her husband Jerry of Hanska, Dolores Baier of New Ulm, Lonnie Wieseler and husband Jim of Good Thunder; sons, Rodger Welke and wife Monica of Madelia, Jerry Welke of New Ulm; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Nina Bakken of Woodbury; sisters-in-law, Marvis Anderson of Hanska, Leone Redmann of W. Fargo, N.D.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 19, 1982; three brothers in infancy; brothers, Jim, Martin, Leonard, Glenn and Alvin B. Anderson; sisters, Alma Robertson, Edna Martin, and Florence Asleson; son-in-law, Jim Baier, and daughter-in-law, Lynneece Welke.
Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
She was born born May 26, 1915, in Nome, N.D., to Gustav and Lizzie (Erickson) Anderson. She attended country school. She married Ruben Welke Nov. 5, 1935, in Valley City, N.D. They farmed in North Dakota until 1950 when they moved to Hanska. She worked at Al's Market, Erwin's Grocery, Dr. Martin Luther College and Tony Downs. She entered the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia in January 1986. In April of 1987 she moved to the former Highland Manor in New Ulm and to Oak Hills Living Center in 1996. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska and WELCA.

Edward Haas, 61, of Minneapolis and formerly of Sleepy Dye, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, SE; and one hour before the service Saturday at the church.

Helen McPhail, 74, of W. St. Paul, died Nov. 4, 2001, at United Hospital.
Services were Nov. 9 in St. Paul.
Survivors are sisters, Mary Ann Carvelli of Andover, Carol Beck of New Ulm, Joan Moschetti and husband Ang of Seattle,Wash., nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 1960.

Ivadell Dammen, 82, formerly of Lamberton, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at the Tracy Nursing Home.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Walnut Grove with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 8-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Jacobson Funeral Service, Walnut Grove is handling arrangements.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis and wife Blanche of Winona and Dallas and wife Gail of Marshall; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on April 3, 2000; and two brothers.
She was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Johnsonville Township, Redwood County, to John and Ida Otto Raveling. She graduated from Lamberton High School in 1927. She married Melvin "Pete" Dammen on June 20, 1938, near Lamberton. They farmed near Revere until 1945 when they moved to Murray County and farmed until 1988. She belonged to St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

Norma Renburg, 87, of Springfield, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, St. James.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Helen Warner of Princeton, Frances and Dominic Polermo of Temple City, Calif. and Mary Shellum of Burnsville; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Renburg of Joplin, Mo.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald, Paul, Carl, and David; sister, Dorothy; and a sister-in- law, Josephine.
She was born Sept. 30, 1914, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to William and Lena (Deeg) Renburg. She lived in California, Comfrey, St. James, and Springfield. She worked as a housekeeper at the Springfield Clinic. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Springfield where she taught Sunday School, played the piano and was the church treasurer.

Herbert Zimmerman, 86, of Sanborn, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Sanborn with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the church. Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield is handling arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Leona of Sanborn; sons, Gary and wife Sharon Zimmerman of Sleepy Eye and James Zimmerman of Sanborn; daughter, Janice Schmidt of Delft; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, LeRoy and wife Norman Zimmerman of Granite Falls, Virgil and wife Norma Zimmerman of Sanborn, Clinton Zimmerman of Sanborn and Clifford and wife Joyce Zimmerman of Windom.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and a sister.
He was born Dec. 19, 1914, in Sanborn to George and Emma (Haeska) Zimmerman. He attended Sanborn Public School. He worked for area farmers as a farm hand, with the Civil Conservation Corps, helping build Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He married Leona Brown on June 16, 1943, in Sanborn. He did produce work and drove school bus for Sanborn Public School. He also worked at Wallner Construction in New Ulm and the Toro plant in Windom, until retiring. He belonged to Zion Lutheran Church and the Sanborn American Legion.
