James Radloff, age 69, of Hector, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2002, at his home.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 7, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Hector, with interment in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
James William Radloff was born Dec. 4, 1932, to Lawrence and Emma (Roberts) Radloff. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hector. He graduated from Hector High School in 1952. He was married to Elaine Olson on Aug. 2, 1952.
Jim lived and farmed in the Hector area his entire life. He had a prize winning dairy herd and numerous times won top dairy herd honors. Jim was president of the Hector Creamery for 25 years and on the board for 40 years. He served on the board of First District Association for 15 years, and on the church board for First Lutheran Church in Hector. He also served on the Renville County ADA board.
Jim quietly went about his way and touched many lives. He loved to listen to the Twins, Gophers and Northstars on WCCO.
He was always a very good athlete, playing high school football, basketball, track and baseball. He played town baseball and local softball to age sixty. He bowled in a Monday night league for fifty years. Many hours were spent enjoying horse-shoes and beanbag games. Jim also loved playing cards with family and friends. He was very involved in 4H. He also loved to hunt and fish. He went deer hunting and fishing for many years and enjoyed the time spent with the others in his group. He especially loved to fish with the grandchildren.
Jim loved a good joke and a hearty laugh. He showed his true courage and grace by just accepting his illness and taking advantage of what time he was given. He appreciated that he was able to spend time with many people.
James is survived by his wife Elaine of Hector; six children: Diane Churchill and husband Chuck of Chaska, Curtis Radloff of Hector, Wayne Radloff and wife Vickie of Lynd, Michael Radloff and wife Tammy of Hector, Beth Costello and husband Pat of Eden Prairie, and Craig Radloff and special friend Vicki of Brooklyn Park; 11 grand-children: Michelle Churchill, Chad Churchill, Mark Churchill, Steve Gee, Russ Gee, Polly Gee, Jim Radloff, Tim Radloff, Ashley Costello, Tommy Costello, and Sarah Costello brothers: Gilbert Radloff and wife Joyce of Cosmos and Larry Radloff of Hector; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Arvid and Ethel Olson of Minnetonka, Clarence and Neta Olson of Fridley, Alice Olson of Davis, CA, Cliff and Gladys Olson of Aurora, NE, Dee Olson of Minnetonka, Doris Olson of Blomkest, Bill Hauan of Fridley, and Paul and Jo Olson of Bailey, CO; and by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by parents, parents-in-law Oscar and Amanda (Ahl) Olson, and brothers-in-law Don Olson, Ervin Olson and Russell Olson.

Erwin F. 'Erv' Greve, 78, of Redwood Falls, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at his home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in New Woodlawn Cemetery in Pipestone.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
He is survived by his wife, Lavanda Greve of Redwood Falls; son David Greve of Holland; daughter Debra Johnson of Stillwater; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Erwin F. Greve was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Pipestone, to John and Anna (Meier) Greve.
He served in the U.S. Navy from Jan. 30, 1945, until Dec. 8, 1945; and in the U.S. Army from Dec. 26, 1950, to July 25, 1952.

Glen P. Meyer, 87, of Mankato died Monday, March 4, 2002, at Mankato Health Care Center.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato and Friday at the church, one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Mausoleum.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Mankato; son, Glen Meyer Jr. of Austin; daughter, Janice Ahlness of Windom; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Meyer of Bloomington, Earl Meyer of California, and Warren Meyer of Escondido, Calif; sisters, Erna Nelson of Lafayette, Edith Schiller of New Ulm, and Bonita Covell of St. Peter.
He was born Oct. 6, 1914, in North Mankato to Paul H. and Flora (Deebach) Meyer.

Hedwig "Hattie" Becke, 98 of Winthrop, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at the Gaylord Lakeview Nursing Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Interment will be in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7:30-8:30 a.m. today at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop, and will one hour prior to the time of services at the church.
She is survived by sons, Delford Becke of Crosslake, and Donald Becke of Winthrop; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Hedwig Ida Laura Sommer was born Jan. 16, 1904, in Transit Township, Sibley County, to Herman and Anna (Krueger) Sommer.

Lucille Guth, 89, of North Mankato, died Monday at Mankato House Health Care Center in Mankato.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Mankato, with burial to follow at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
She is survived by daughters, Joan Hurry of Mankato, and Mary Voeltz of Nicollet; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Veronica Krebs, 91, of 708 South German St. in New Ulm died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Friday and 7:30 - 10 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Veronica is survived by her daughter, Patricia Noack and husband Barry of Maple Grove; and a son, Dr. Russell M. Krebs and wife, Jean of Campbellsport, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren; and twenty seven great grandchildren; her sisters, Lucille Bertrand of West St. Paul, and Theresa Annen of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and four sisters.
Veronica was born Sept. 3, 1910, in Golden Gate to Mickel and Rosella (Kolesky) Weiss. She attended school in Golden Gate. On June 12, 1929 she married Elmer Krebs in Sleepy Eye. After marriage they lived in New Ulm where she worked for Woolworths Department Store for twenty five years. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.

Roland D. Krienke, 46, of Gaylord, died Tuesday at Glencoe Regional Health Center.
Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at Egesdal Funeral Home, with burial to be held at a later date. Visitation will be 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Friday at Egesdal Funeral Home.
He is survived by his parents Arvid and Janet Krienke of Glencoe; sons, Randy Krienke and Jeremy Krienke, both of Gaylord; brothers, Marlin Krienke of Glencoe, and David Krienke of Monticello; and sister Carol Klaustermeier of Glencoe.
Roland D. Krienke was born Dec. 17, 1955, in St. Peter, to Arvid and Janet (Rannow) Krienke.

Norman C. Christensen, 85, of Redwood Falls, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Redwood Falls.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls.
He is survived by wife, Hilda Christensen of Redwood Falls; sons, Paul Christensen of Redwood Falls, Nels Christensen of Wabasso, Chris Christensen of Redwood Falls; daughter, Elizabeth Schoer of Wabasso; brothers, Jens of Redwood Falls, Donald of Morgan, William of Redwood Falls; sisters, Alice Dresow of Redwood Falls; Lois Pierson of St. Paul; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was born Jan. 18, 1917, in Redwood Township, Redwood County, Minn., to Nels and Emma (Johnson) Christensen.
He served in the miliary during World War II from 1942-45.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

Louise Anna Conrad, 99, of Springfield, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Springfield, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
She is survived by nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Louise Anna Conrad was born Nov. 30, 1902, in Sundown Township, Redwood County, to Gustof and Marie (Ludwig) Tietz.

Daryl B. Malmer, 66, of White Bear Lake and formerly of Winthrop, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at St. John's Hospital.
Services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, at First Lutheran Church, Highway 61 and County Road F, White Bear Lake. Graveside services are scheduled at 1 p.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Monday at Honsa Family Funeral Home, 2460 East County Road E, White Bear Lake.
He is survived by wife Charlotte; sons, Jeffrey of Mahtomedi, and Stephen of Blaine; three grandchildren; brother, Reynold of Kirkwood, Mo.
He was born March 17, 1935, in Winthrop to Bernhard and Florence Malmer.
He served in the U.S. Navy.

Magnus Hittesdorf, 86, of Sleepy Eye, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer services at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by sons, Thomas of Garden Grove, Calif., James of Waco, Texas, Patrick of Sleepy Eye, Leslie of Little Falls; daughters, Patricia Weichering of Sleepy Eye, Carol Hittesdorf of Mankato, Rosalie Hoeft of eagan, Claire McDowell of Sleepy Eye, Marilyn Vait of Sleepy Eye, JoAnne Johnson of Sleepy Eye; 29 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Hittesdorf of California; sisters, Theresa Von Brethorst of Long Beach, Calif., and Marie Bogle of Windom.
He was born Dec. 29, 1915, in Mitchell, S.D., to Peter and Josephine (List) Hittesdorf.

Arthur Holdhouse, 91, of Redwood Falls, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at Redwood Falls.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, with burial in Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 18, 1910, at Redwood Falls to Henry and Edith (Schablin) Holdhouse.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Ruth S. Klingseisen, 84, of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye and Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her son Robert of Shoreview; five grandchildren and five great granchildren.
She was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Cobden to Gustav and Amanda (Grundmeyer) Gulke.

Armin Dallmann, 84, of rural Mankato, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet and will continue for one hour prior to the time of the service at the church on Wednesday.
Armin is survived by his wife, Bernice Dallmann of rural Mankato; son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Margaret Dallmann of rural Nicollet; a daughter-in-law, LaRanda Dallmann of rural Nicollet; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Lila Bode a resident of the St. Peter Health Care Center in St. Peter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ron Dallmann in 1996; and a sister, Edna Wilking.
Armin was born January 21, 1918, in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County, to Ferdinand and Ida (Lieber) Dallmann. He attended country school in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County. On November 14, 1939, he married Bernice Mueller at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. He farmed the family farm in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County all his life until becoming a resident of the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato in August of 2001. He was a lifetime member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet.

Beatrice Thiede, 65, of, 1405 N. Payne Street, New Ulm, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm, and one hour prior to services at, the church.
Beatrice Wolf, the daughter of Waldemar and Elinor (Vomhof) Wolf, was born February 19, 1937, in Red Wing. In her youth, she attended Goodhue Elementary School, later moving to New Ulm, where she graduated from the former Dr. Martin Luther High School in 1955. That year she began working for Montgomery Ward in New Ulm. She was united in marriage to Roland "Benny" Thiede on June 15, 1957, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. They made, their home in New Ulm, where she continued to work for Wards until 1965. That year she began working for Lindy's Collection Agency in New Ulm. She worked there in various capacities, mainly office manager, until the time of her death. Her husband died in 1999. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, and had served on the Ladies Aid. She was also active in various area cancer support groups.
Survivors include her son, Paul Thiede and his wife Marie of New Ulm; two stepgrandchildren, Tim and Amanda Waibel of New Ulm; mother, Elinor Wolf of New Ulm; sister, Nyla Wille and her husband Lawrence of Morristown Minn.; two nieces, Sarah Wille and her husband Mike Kneer of Shoreview, Robin Wille of Minneapolis; a great-niece and great-nephew; cousins, and many friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father in 1985, and an infant brother Marlin in 1932.
