Oyler Brudelie, 89, of Hanska, died Sunday afternoon, March 24, 2002, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, rural Hanska, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Firle Funeral Home in Hanska, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Oyler Maynard Brudelie, the son of George and Nina (Ouren) Brudelie, was born Oct. 6, 1912, on his family farm in Lake Hanska Township, Brown County. As a child, he attended country school and later Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis and the Mankato Business College.
He was united in marriage to Helen Leaf on June 27, 1940, in Austin.
They continued to live on and operate the family farm in Lake Hanska Township.
They retired from farming in 1980, and moved into Hanska in 1981.
His wife died Dec. 9, 1986.
He married Marian (Goor) Olson on Oct. 31, 1987, at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church.
They continued to make their home in Hanska.
Oyler had just become a resident of the Luther Memorial Home March 11, 2002.
He was an active member of Lake Hanska Lutheran Church having held many offices through the years.
Oyler was a pilot and musician, and past president of the Brown County Farm Bureau.
He was a member of the Sleepy Eye Drum & Bugle Corps, Over 60 Band, Lake Crystal Community Band, Hanska Harmony Band, and the "Hanska University Band."
Oyler enjoyed woodworking and travel, having visited twenty-seven countries, including Norway several times.
Survivors include his wife, Marian of Hanska; nephew, Wayne Brudelie and his wife Jean of Hanska; niece, Edith Dankert of Minneapolis; stepsons, Eugene Olson and his wife Cecelia of Bloomington, Lynn Olson and his wife Helen of New Ulm, Charles Olson and wife Dorene of Hanska; stepdaughters, Judi Olson-Cooksey and her husband Jerry of Solsberry, Ind., Linda Wempen and her husband Royce of St. Peter; and many stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edythe LaRue Brudelie and two brothers, George and Walter Brudelie.
Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.

Agnes T. (Mrs. Elmer) Bode, 82, of 923 N. German St., New Ulm, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today and 7:30 -8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and also one hour before the service at church on Wednesday.
She is survived by her husband Elmer F. Bode of New Ulm; daughters, Betsy Domeier Stanton of Mankato and Ellen Mueller of St. Paul; a son, Warren Bode of New Ulm; eight grandchildren; sisters, Leona Stadick of New Ulm, Elvera Butler of Michie, Tenn., and Mildred Neumann of New Ulm; and a brother, Leonard Schwartz of New Ulm.
She was born March 5, 1920, in Courtland Township, Nicollet County to Carl and Elfrieda (Bartz) Schwartz.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the donor's choice.

Lucille Landgraff, 70 of Franklin, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at her home.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, with burial in the Ft. Ridgely and Dale Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax.
Visitation continues one hour before the services Thursday at the church.
She is is survived by her husband, Merlin Landgraff of Franklin; daughters, Rachel Landgraff of Lima, Peru and Karen Borth of Richfield; son, Glenn Landgraff of Franklin; and brothers, Richard Johnson of Mound and Herb Nelson of Franklin.
Lucille LuVerne (Johnson) Landgraff was born Feb. 25, 1932, in Camp Township, Renville County, to Alexander and Esther (Larson) Johnson.

Clyde Columbus, 66, of Redwood Falls and the Lower Sioux Community, died Monday, March 25, 2002 at his home.
Services are 1 p.m. today at St. Cornelia's Episcopal Church on the Lower Sioux Community with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation continues today at at the church hall until time of services.
Redwood Valley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Dr. Douglas Y. Thorson, 68, of Peoria, Ill., and formerly of Winthrop, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Manor Care Health Services in Peoria.
Services are 1:30 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Clear Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Cornish Township, Sibley County.
Arrangements are with the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop.
He is survived by his wife Rachael Thorson of Peoria, Ill.; sons, Scot Thorson of Rosemount, and Blake Thorson of Ballwin, Mo.; daughter Teri Hicks of Eagle, Wis.; and six grandchildren.
Douglas Y. Thorson was born May 13, 1933, in Winthrop, to Hugo and Goldie (Young) Thorson.

Darlyne May Clifton, 65, died March 14, 2002, at her home in North Highlands, Calif.
Darlyne was born May 28, 1937, in New Ulm, to Harry Totman and Ruby Selander. She was the beloved wife of LeRoy Clifton for 45 years.
Grateful for having shared in Darlyne's life are three daughters Charlene F. Clifton, Sandra M. Acevedo, and Sherry B. Hernandez; two sons Preston V. Clifton and Jeffery Clifton; her mother Ruby Selander; two brothers Darwin Totman and Jerry Totman; one sister Joann Martinez, and 12 grandchildren.
She is also survived by many relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.
Darlyne was preceded in death by her father Harry Totman, brother Ronald Totman, and sister-in-law Mona Totman,
Services were held Monday March 18, 2002. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to New Life Christian Center, 2037 Elkhorn Blvd., Rio Linda, Calif.

Louis A. Luckhardt, 94, of Springfield, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, with burial in the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in rural Redwood Falls.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Luckhardt of Springfield; daughter Linda Rice of Gallatin Gateway, Mont.; stepdaughter Marlice Clark of New Ulm; brother Roy Luckhardt of Lake Shetek; and one grandchild.
Louis A. Luckhardt was born Oct. 5, 1907, in Springfield, to John and Theresa (Ladwig) Luckhardt.

Viola Wendinger, 91, of New Ulm died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and Monday from 7:30-10 a.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mother's Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cathedral.
The St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society will pray the rosary at 6:30 p.m. and there will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 PM both Sunday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home.
Viola is survived by her daughter, Rosadell Portner of New Ulm; her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Elizabeth Wendinger of Plymouth, Leon and Shirley Wendinger of rural Gibbon, and Ronald and Connie Wendinger of New Ulm; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Norbert and Arlene Woratschka of New Ulm; and by sisters-in-law, Norma Woratschka and Salome Woratschka, both of New Ulm. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John, Leo and Hilarius; a granddaughter, Mary Kay Portner; and a son-in-law, Joseph Portner.
Viola was born Sept. 24, 1910 in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County to Joseph and Katherine (Traurig) Woratschka.
She attended country school in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County and also the St. George Catholic School.
On Oct. 20, 1931 she married Ludwig Wendinger at the St. George Catholic Church in St. George.
After marriage they farmed in West Newton Township, Nicollet County until they retired in 1966 and moved to New Ulm.
Viola then worked as a cook for the Kaiserhoff Restaurant. She has been a resident at the Oak Hills Living Center since January of 2001.
She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the Christian Mother's Society, and the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Oak Hills Living Center or to N.U.A.C.S. (New Ulm Area Catholic Schools).

Mary K. Waibel, 95, of the St. Michaels Apartments in New Ulm died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye where she had been a resident for the past four weeks.
Mass of Christian burial will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. and will continue on Monday from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cathedral, there will be a rosary by the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. both at the funeral home.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Betty Patrin of Hoffman; sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Ruth Waibel, Charles and Rita Waibel, and John and Marlys Waibel all of New Ulm; a daughter-in-law Sunday Waibel of Buffalo; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and by brothers Louie Stadick and John Stadick, both residents of the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop, Theodore Stadick, a resident of the Oak Hills Assisted Living in New Ulm, Benno Stadick of New Ulm and Leo Stadick of Downers Grove, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles A. Waibel; a son, Tom Waibel; brothers, Herman and Conrad Stadick; sisters Caroline Stadick and Jennie Tauer; a granddaughter, Lori Waibel; and great grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Janni.
Mary, the daughter of John T. and Emelia (Janni) Stadick, was born July 2, 1906 in Sigel Township, Brown County.
She attended country school in Sigel Township.
On May 10, 1932 she was united in marriage to Charles A. Waibel at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles.
After marriage they farmed in Sigel Township, Brown County until retirement in the early 1970's and moved into New Ulm.
In 1984 Mary moved to the St. Michaels Apartments.
She was a member of the Cathedral, the Christian Mothers Society, and the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the donors choice.

Hilda E. Ritz, 91, of Truman, Minnesota will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman with the Rev. Nathan Rusert officiating.
Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ritz died Friday morning, March 29, 2002, at the Lutheran Retiremcnt Home in Truman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2002, at the Olson-Zaharia Funeral Home in Truman and from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Hilda Ernestine Adermann was born August 15, 1910 to William and Augusta (Huhnholz) Adermann in Sargent County, near Milnor, North Dakota. She was baptized on September 11, 1910 by Pastor Linsay at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milnor where she was also confirmed on April 13, 1924, by Pastor H.F. Eggers. She moved to Minnesota in 1932 and was employed as a house maid.
On March 5, 1941, Hilda was united in marriage to Siegbert Ritz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amboy, Minnesota.
She and her husband farmed north of Truman until retiring in 1968.
They continued to live on the farm until moving to Truman, Minnesota in 1982.
Siegbert died May 19, 1992. Hilda entered the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman June 22, 2001.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman and its Ladies Aid, a charter member of the Esther Circle, the Lutheran Retirement Home Auxiliary, 500 Marathon Club, and a member of a bowling club until her health failed. Hilda also enjoyed making rag rugs, sewing, crocheting, gardening and lots of flowers.
Survivors include a son, Dale Ritz and his wife, Deb of Truman, Minnesota; two daughters, Janice Ritz of New Ulm, Minnesota and Dorothy Ritz and her husband, Marlin Besler of Minnestrista, Minnesota; two grandsons, Grant Olson and Derek Olson, one great-grandchild; four step grandchildren, Trent Blinkman, Jodi Bentle, Wade Besler and Stacie Spence; thirteen step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frieda Malcomson of Lake Crystal, Minnesota and Ruby Odegard and her husband, Olaf of Wyndmere, North Dakota; and one brother, Lloyd Adermann and his wife, Leona of Gwinner, North Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a step grandchild, a sister and two brothers.

Peggy T. Edwards, 47, of Detroit Lakes died Monday, March 25, 2002 at her home.
The funeral for Mrs. Edwards is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2002 at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Peggy Edwards, the daughter of Kenneth and Mildred (Laurent) Van Beusekom, was born Jan. 30, 1955 in Buffalo.
Following graduation from Delone High School in 1973, she worked for Diversified Insulation at Hamel.
She married Neil Edwards on June 6, 1975 in Hennepin County. They moved to Detroit Lakes, where she operated Edwards Stamp & Stencil, and with her husband operated Neil's Floor Store.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Neil, of Detroit Lakes; two sons, Jared and Nathan, both of Audubon; three daughters, Christina, Jessica and Catherine, all of Detroit Lakes, a stepdaughter, Robin (Joseph "Jay") Thompson, of Waldorf, MD; her parents, Kenneth and Mildred Van Beusekom of Loretto, five brothers: Richard (Barb) of Buffalo, Robert (Betty), Thomas, Anthony (Julie) and Donald, (Denise), all of Loretto, and a sister, Mary Van Beusekom of St. Louis Park. There are four grandchildren.

Joane Reckner, 49, of Ankeny, Iowa and formerly of New Ulm, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at her home.
Services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial at a later date.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
Joanne is survived by her husband Jon Reckner of Ankeny, Iowa; parents, John and Betty (Portner) Gleisner of Hackensack; a sister, Beverly Rolloff of Chaska; brothers, Bruce Deinken of Bloomington, and Mike Deinken and Brian Deinken, both of New Ulm.
Joanne was born Jan. 22, 1953 in New Ulm.

Dora Turbes, 100, formerly of New Ulm died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye where she had been a resident for the past three years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in St. John The Baptist Catholic Cemetery, rural Searles.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Divine Providence Community Home Chapel in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will continue on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and then on Tuesday from 7:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral, there will be a rosary by the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society at 6 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. both Monday at the funeral home.
Dora is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Eisenbacher of New Ulm; a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Angie Turbes of Crosslake; a daughter-in-law, Arlene Turbes of Mankato; a step son-in-law. Leonard Gag of Rochester; and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Nicholas Turbes, a son, Jerome Turbes; a step daughter, Irene Gag; step sons, Roman and Floyd Turbes; and by several brothers, sisters, and grandchildren.
Dora was born Feb. 2, 1902 in Courtland Township, Nicollet County to Frank and Mary (Krause) Reinhart.
She attended country school in Courtland Township, Nicollet County and then attended the Holy Trinity Boarding Grade School in New Ulm.
She lived in Courtland Township until her marriage to Nicholas Turbes on Sept. 12, 1922 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm.
After marriage they farmed near Searles.
Her husband died on July 7, 1937 and she continued to live on the farm until 1955 when she moved into New Ulm.
She worked at Roeder's Hatchery for two years and then at the Purity White Castle in New Ulm up until it closed when she then retired.
She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm, the Christian Mothers Society, the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society, the Monica Club, the Sunshine Girls, and was very active in the Guatemala Missions.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Divine Providence Community Home, the Educational Trust Fund at the New Ulm Area Catholic Schools or the Way of the Cross.
