Erwin J. Geib, 72, of Arlington, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at his home.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church in Arlington, with burial in the Arlington Public Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Wednesday at Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and continues one hour before services Thursday at the church.
He is survived by daughter Gweneth of St. Michael; sons, Duane and Steven of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and sister, Lois Willmsen of Arlington.
He was born Nov. 14, 1929, in Arlington to Erwin W. and Evelyn (Schmidt) Geib.

Martin Helwig, 92 of Redwood Falls and formerly of Fairfax, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center in Redwood Falls.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township, Renville County. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of the services at the church on Wednesday.
Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in. Fairfax handled arrangements.
Martin Ludwig Helwig was born on Dec. 21, 1909, in Wellington Township, Renville County, Minnesota.

Clem P. Vacek, 63, of Jackson, at home.
There will be gathering of friends and family from 1-3 p.m. Friday at 96 1st Ave, Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria; daughters, Paula Scott of Sleepy Eye, Corrine Vacek of Jackson; sons Jason Vacek of Jackson; five grandchildren; and sister Ruth Lloyd of New Ulm.
He was born Nov. 19, 1938 to Clem and Pauline (Krasean) Vacek in Jackson.

Lorraine E. Waggoner, 71, of Apple Valley, formerly of St. Peter, died Monday, April 22, 2002 at home.
Services are noon Thursday at Henry Anderson Funeral Home, Apple Valley, with burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Jackson of Apple Valley; sons, David of Apple Valley and John of Rosemount; nine grandchildren and a brother, Lester Forbrook of rural Nicollet.
She was born June 8, 1930, in Nicollet County to Theodore and Meta (Hulke) Forbrook.

Frances Wolff, 107, of Hector, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at the Renville County Hospital in Olivia.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the Hector High School old gymnasium, with burial in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the high school.
She is survived by her son Willis Wolff of Hutchinson; daughter Anita Wolff of Hector; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Frances A. Wolff was born May 18, 1894, in Melville Township, Renville County, to Albert and Anna (Johnson) Wulkan.

Paul (Denny) Palamarchuck, 55, of 1623 Coles Chapel Road, Sparta, Tenn., died March 31, 2002, at his home, of cancer.
Services were held on April 6 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Sparta.
He is survived by his wife, the former Monica Kral of Osaksis; daughter Joanne; and son Christian.

Rosanne Nazarenus, 51, of Minneapolis, and formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Minneapolis.
A remembrance gathering will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2002, at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye, with burial at Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Friends may call on the family 1:30 - 2 p.m. Sunday at Faith United Methodist Church. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
Rosanne was born Sept. 4, 1950, in Sleepy Eye, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Huebert) Nazarenus. She grew up in Sleepy Eye and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School in 1968. Rosanne also attended Mankato State University in Mankato. After she completed her schooling, Rosanne lived many years in Minneapolis. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading and listening to music.
She is survived by her parents Don and Dorothy Nazarenus of Sleepy Eye; sisters, Sheila and Ted Thydean of International Falls, Candy and Paul Sobocinski of Wabasso, Sue Meyer of Gibbon, and Kris and Gene Nelson of Sleepy Eye; brothers, Brent and Diane Nazarenus of Sleepy Eye, and Erik and Rita Nazarenus of Spicer; and many niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Nazarenus; nephew, John Meyer; and special friend Robert Shirley of Minneapolis.

Herbert Portner, 97, of New Ulm died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Friday and 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The St. Joseph Catholic Aid Council will pray the rosary at 5:30 p.m. and there will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m., both Friday at the funeral home.
Herbert is survived by his niece, Angie Turbes and her husband Ralph of Cross Lake; a nephew, Wendelin Sellner of New Ulm; and many other nieces and nephews; many great nieces and great nephews; and many great-great nieces and great great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Verna Portner on Dec. 9, 1983; by 11 brothers and sisters, two of them in infancy; and a niece, Grace Sellner.
Herbert was born Oct. 24, 1904, in Sigel Township, Brown County, to Andrew and Barbara (Kral) Portner. He attended country school in Sigel Township, Brown County. On Sept. 9, 1930, he married Verna Zander at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Linden Township, Brown County, for 31 years. They retired in 1961 and moved into New Ulm. He then worked as a custodian for the DNR Regional Office in New Ulm. He has been a resident of the Fairfax Community Home since August of 1994. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Council both in New Ulm.

Milton L. Geiszler, 75, formerly of Arlington, died Feb. 12, 2002, in Chandler, Ariz.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Arlington.
Visitation is Saturday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria of New Salem, N.D.; son, Bradford of Farmington; daughter, Mary Beth Reisen of Viking; and a sister, Carmen Hanson of Enumclau, Wash.
He was born July 8, 1926, in Hebron, N.D.,to Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Geiszler.
He served in the U.S. Navy.

Agnes Krzmarzick, 97, of St. Paul, and formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, in St. Paul.
Funeral service was held Wednesday in the chapel of the Lyngblomsten Health Care Center in St. Paul.
Burial will be 3:45 p.m. today at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Agnes was born Dec. 1, 1904, in Home Township, to John and Margaret (Brandl) Krzmarzick.

Clarence B. Solmonson, 96, of Gaylord, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Gaylord Lakeview Home.
Services are 3 p.m. Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Egesdal Funeral Home handled arrangements.
He is survived by wife Cora Solmonson of Gaylord; sons, Maruice Solmonson of Gaylord, Gene Solmonson of Gaylrod; daughters, Gladys Fenske of Gaylord, Eleanore Fabel of Belle Plaien, Joanne Messner of Gaylord, Arlene Compart of Gaylord, Judy Gaare of Arlington; 25 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
He was born Sept. 28, 1905, in Sibley Township, Sibley County, to Louis and Josephine (Johnson) Solmonson.

Rodney D. 'Rock' Benning, 65, of rural Janesville, died Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mankato Mortuary Chapel with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Clair.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday and continues one hour prior to services Monday at Mankato Mortuary.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter Jolene Benning of New Ulm; sons, Jeffrey and Kyle of Janesville; mother, Sally of Mankato; sisters, Margie Pool of California; brother Bill of Mankato; and one grandson.
He was born on Dec. 12, 1936, in Mankato, to Raymond and Marcella "Sally" (Backmeyer) Benning.
He served in the U.S Air Force.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.

Luella Mae Dunlevy, 90, of Redwood Falls, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls.
Services were held Thursday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls, with burial in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery in Redwood Falls.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeannine Barnes of St. Peter, Ginger Kessler of Gainesville, Ga., and Colleen Bauer of Avon, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was born July 26, 1911, in Union, Ill., to Wilheim and Minnie (Dunker) Siedenstrang.

Emil A. Haas, 75, of Springfield, died Friday, April 26, 2002, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Springfield; son, Randy of Redwood Falls; daughter, Sandy Runck of Springfield; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Leona Wenisch of Springfield.
He was born Dec. 6, 1926 to Peter and Katie (Kastner) Haas in Springfield.

Myles L. Reinhart, 42, of Kodiak, Alaska and formerly of New Ulm, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, of a massive heart attack in Kodiak, Alaska.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm City Ceme-tery, Soldiers Rest Section in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of the service at the church on Tuesday. Full military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the United States Coast Guard Ceremonial Honor Guard stationed in Alexandria, Va.
Grateful to have shared his life are his wife, Gayle Taylor-Reinhart of Salem, Ore.; his mother, Barbara Reinhart of New Ulm; a sister, Vickie Westra and her husband, Joel of Beresford, S.D.; a brother, Paul Reinhart and his wife, Rae Anne of Crookston; an aunt, Donna Reinhart of Crookston; his nieces, Elizabeth Westra and Allison Reinhart; nephews, Joey Westra, Ben Westra, Tanner Reinhart; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Juel Reinhart on March 13, 1999; an uncle, Jerry Reinhart in 1980; and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Myles was born Oct. 27, 1959 in Crookston to Juel and Barbara (Freeberg) Reinhart. He attended New Ulm Public Schools. Myles married Jill Baltrusaitis in March of 1985 in New Ulm. They were later divorced. He then married Gayle Taylor on July 27, 1997 in Salem, Ore. Myles enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on Nov. 18, 1980. During his time in the Air Force he was stationed in Korea and Grand Forks, N.D. He was discharged from the Air Force on Nov. 17, 1984 and enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard on March 18, 1985. He was stationed at Mobile, Ala. and later Kodiak, Alaska until his death. Myles attained the Rank of E-8 Senior Chief Petty Officer. Myles was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and motorcycles. He really knew how to enjoy life.

Ronald W. Narr, 64, of rural Henderson, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kolden Funeral Home, Arlington and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his father, Arnold of Henderson; sisters, Darlene Boehne of Henderson, Gloria Hazelette of Bronte, Texas and Wendy LeNoue of Wahpeton, N.D.; brothers, Kenneth of Arlington and Jerry of Henderson.
He was born Feb. 26, 1938, in Jessenland Township, Sibley County, Minnesota, to Arnold and Marilla (Timm) Narr.

Phyllis Nelson, 70, of Fairfax, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, at the New Ulm Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fairfax.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Lynda M. Schlomann, 84, formerly of St. James and Madelia, died Friday, April 26, 2002, at Dilley Nursing Home, Northfield.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, St. James with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, St. James.
Pease Funeral Home, St. James, handled arrangements.
She is survived by sons, Kenneth of Darfur, Dennis of Butterfield and Randy of New Ulm; daughters, Adonna Dougherty and Julie Schlomann of Northfield; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a sister, Fran Olson of St. James.
She was born June 28, 1917, in St. James Township, Watonwan County, Minnesota to Martin and Marjorie (Miller) Senf.
