John Henry Reque, 79, of Redwood Falls died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Redwood Area Hospital.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, with private burial at a later date in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in rural Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.
He is surived by his wife, Winnie Mae (Wang) Reque of Redwood Falls; daughters Sheryl Peterson of International Falls, Connie Helgeson of St. Louis Park, Jean Marie Reque of Redwood Falls and Lauria VanEssen of Woodbury; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Fargo, N.D. to Johann and Marie (Brotten) Reque. He served in the U.S. Army from December 1945 to April 1947.

Louis "Louie" Stadick, 100, of New Ulm died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Satur-day at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Louie is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Marilyn Stadick of New Ulm and Ralph and Pat Stadick of rural New Ulm; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and by his brothers, John Stadick, a resident of the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop, Theodore "Ted" Stadick of New Ulm, Benno Stadick of New Ulm, and Leo Stadick of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Alma on May 2, 1991; sisters, Caroline Stadick, Jennie Tauer and Mary Waibel; and by his brothers, Herman and Conrad Stadick.
Louie was born October 15, 1901 in Sigel Township, Brown County to John T. and Emelia (Janni) Stadick. He married Alma Holm on May 18, 1926 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Sigel Township, Brown County until retiring and moving to New Ulm 1980. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and the Farmers Union where he held various offices.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to donor's choice.

Kevin D. Davis, 48, of North St. Paul, formerly of Morton, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Regina Medical Center in Hastings.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, at Morton United Methodist Church with burial in Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service, Redwood Falls and Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Opal E. Fester, 77, of Jeffers, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at her home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers, with burial in the Jeffers Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Anderson-Schmidt-LaCanne Funeral Home in Jeffers, and will continue Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Uko Junker, 86, of St. James died Friday, July 5, 2002 at his home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 8 at First Lutheran Church, St. James with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, St. James.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, and 8-9 a.m. Monday at Pease Funeral Home, St. James and Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; sons Norman, Delwin of Comfrey and Stanley of Darfur; daughters, Marcella Samuelson and Donna Sandbo of Ormsby; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Ben and Rudolph and a sister, Aliede Evers, all of Mountain Lake.
He was born July 6, 1915 in rural Comfrey to Henry and Fenna (Garret) Junker.

Helen Krant, 77, of Buffalo Lake, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Burns Manor Nursing Home, Hutchinson.
Services will be noon Tuesday, July 9, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Stewart with burial in Buffalo Lake City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, at Hughes Funeral Home, Stewart with a 7 p.m. prayer service and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her children, Trudy Jaskowiak of South Haven, Paulette Zanoth of Silver Lake, Alan Krant of Spokane and Anthony of Hadley; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and brothers Clayton and Linus Wambach.
She was born Oct. 27, 1924 in Moorhead to Mathias and Dorothea Zenk.

Kevin Dean Davis was born June 2, 1954, in Redwood Falls to Gordon and Myrtle (Gaffney) Davis.

James Miller, 70, of Jeffers died Friday, July 5, 2002, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday, July 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers, with burial in Jeffers Cemetery, with full military honors.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. at the church on Sunday. Arrangements are being handled by Anderson-Schmidt-LaCanne Funeral Home of Jeffers and Windom.

Robert 'Bud' Roy, 82, of Windom, died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at his home in Windom.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at Anderson-Schmidt-LaCanne Funeral Home in Windom and 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday at American Lutheran Church, both in Windom.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at American Lutheran Church, with burial in Jeffers Cemetery will full military honors.

James Miller, 70, of Jeffers, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Services are at 3 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers with burial in Jeffers Cemetery with full military honors.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, of Jeffers; children, Michael of Lamberton, Sherry Feeney of Colorado Springs, Colo., Reid of Storden, Stacey Snyder and Corey, all of Colorado Springs; brother Curtis of Jeffers; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was born on Feb. 1, 1932, to Harry and Minnie (Halvorson) Miller, in Storden Township in Cottonwood County.
He served in the U.S. Army from November 1952 to November 1954.

Opal E. Fester, 77, of Jeffers, died on Friday, July 5, 2002 in Jeffers.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers with burial in Jeffers Cemetery.
She is survived by daughters, Diane Lerohl of Windom, Mary of Jeffers, Norma Seibert of Fairmont, Janelle Prins of Jeffers; son James of Westbrook; brothers, Kendall Peterson of Augusta, Kan.; Wilfred Peterson of Pierre, S.D.; sisters Lillian Joachim of Mitchell, S.D., Gladys Lumb of Fredricksburg, Va.; 12 grandchildren.
She was born on Jan. 20, 1925, to Rasmus and Olava (Carlson) Peterson, in Letcher, S.D.

John 'Jack'Feist, 75, of Niceville, Fla., and formerly of Lakeville, died July 5, 2002.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at White Funeral Home, (Cty. Road 50), Lakeville. Burial will be in Fort Snelling.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Kunz) Feist, formerly of New Ulm; son and daughter-in-law, J. Michael and Dayna Feist; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and T.J. Goalen, Nancy and Robert Swanson; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first white, Joanne.
He was a lifetime member of the Richfield VFW.

Martha Boelter, 95, of 1300 North Broadway in New Ulm died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Monday.
Martha is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Janet and Lloyd Mortenson of Litchfield and Darleen King of Minnetonka; sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Agnes Boelter of New Ulm, Donald and Yvonne Boelter of Richmond, and Kenneth Boelter and Gene Boelter, both of New Ulm; 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil Boelter on November 14, 1981; daughters, Carolyn Boelter in infancy and Leora Throolin; sisters, Minnie Pearson and Florence Gueltzow; brothers, George and Fred Schroeder.
Martha was born November 3, 1906 in Lincoln Township, Buena Vista County, Iowa to William and Ida (Wachter) Schroeder. She married Emil Boelter on March 10, 1926 at the Friedens Lutheran Church in Winthrop. After marriage they farmed in Grafton Township, Sibley County. They moved to New Ulm in 1930 where she and Emil started the Emil Boelter Road Construction Company which they owned and operated for many years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.

Burdick H. Frederickson, 89, of Rochester, died Friday July 12, 2002 at the Charter House Health Center in Rochester.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 15 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Rochester. The Reverend Jay Rowland will officiate.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Ennichement of Mr. Frederickson's cremated remains will be at the church columbarium.
Burdick Herman Frederickson was born December 30, 1912 in Hanska, Minnesota, the son of Ingvald and Inga Frederickson, He grew up in Hanska and attended the public schools there. He then attended agricultural college at the University of Minnesota. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy in San Diego, California and in Connecticut where he worked on encryption coding. On June 27, 1942 he married Viola Delda Malskelt in San Diego. After his discharge from military service he and his wife moved to Sioux City, Iowa. In 1954 they moved to Saint James, Minnesota where they lived until 1958. They then moved to Rochester. Mr. Frederickson held various positions at IBM in Rochester. He retired as a manager in the manufacturing area in 1975. An accomplished musician, he played in the Frederickson Band, a family band. He played accordion with different bands including Brownie Walters, and Lawrence Welk. In Rochester he played with such bands as the Turkey River All-Stars.
He is survived by two sisters, Adeline Longworth of Austin, Minnesota, and Vernelle (Mrs, Joel) Botten of Hanska. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola Frederickson in 1995; a sister; and a brother.

John B. Janni, 83, of 610 8th North Street in New Ulm died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Mon-day at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Searles.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 7:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The St. John's Catholic Aid Society of Searles will pray the rosary at 6:30 p.m. and there will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. both Sunday at the funeral home.
John is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Cletus and Eileen Janni of Ankeny, Iowa, David and Mary Jean Janni of New Ulm, Myron Janni of St. Paul, and Kevin and Linda Janni of Maplewood; grandchildren, James Janni and his wife, Becky, Ursula Livermore and her husband, James, Jill Janni, Daniel Janni, Michael Janni and his financee, Laura Jones, and Beth Janni; great grandchildren, Andrew Janni, Anna Janni, and Broderick Livermore; a sister and brother-in-law Elsie and Erwin Portner of New Ulm; and by a sister-in-law Ida Janni of New Ulm. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Janni; his wife, Nora Janni on December 22, 1973; and by brothers, Joseph Janni, Andrew Janni, and Otto Janni.
John B. Janni, the son of John and Mary (Helget) Janni, was born October 15, 1918 in Sigel Township, Brown County. He attended country school in Sigel Township and later attended boarding school in Searles. On August 29, 1944 he was united in marriage to Nora Klossner at the St. George Catholic Church in St. George. After marriage they farmed in Sigel Township, Brown County. John retired in 1981 and moved to New Ulm. He was a former member of the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Searles, a current member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm, and also was a current member of the St. John's Catholic Aid Society in Searles.

Rebecca M. Lueck, 93, formerly of Redwood Falls, died Friday, July 12, 2002, at St. John's Health Care Center in Springfield.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Chapel, Redwood Falls, with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She is survived by sons, Roy of New Ulm and Gene of Lake Benton; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Richards of Redwood Falls.
Rebecca Mabel (Schumacher) Lueck was born Feb. 26, 1909, in Mora Township, Renville County, to Charles Edward and Anna (Deglow) Schumacher.

Ronnie O. Voeks, 55, of Redwood Falls, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, at the Redwood Falls Hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Morton, with burial in Morton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and continue at the church Monday one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Redwood Falls; children, Jill Anderson of Redwood Falls and Wendy Voeks of Redwood Falls; and two grandchildren.
He was born Nov. 7, 1946, in Redwood Falls to Orval and Vera (Homier) Voeks. He served in the National Guard.

Dorothy A. Kauffmann, 81, of Arlington, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Mass of Christian Burial is 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington.
Visitation begins at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

She was born on Sept.12, 1920, in Bloomington, Minn., to Joseph and Mary (Kargel) Adelmann.
