Ronald Hornick, 57, of Madelia, and formerly of Comfrey, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2002, at the Madelia Community Hospital.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia, with burial in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. today at Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia, with prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also continues 9-10:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl; daughter Michelle Ebeling of Mankato; sons, Byron and Jason, both of North Mankato; two grandchildren; and sister Beatta Kunz of Mapleton.
Ronald J. Hornick was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Comfrey, to Leonard and Verna (Penkert) Hornick.

Wallace 'Wally' Uecker, 75, of Green Isle, and formerly of Gaylord, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Service are 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Green Isle. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Green Isle.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to service Friday, both at the church.
Arrangements are handled by Kolden Funeral Service of Le Sueur.
He is survived by his wife Bernette of Green Isle; sons, Howard of Gaylord, and John of Waconia; daughter Sharon Martins of Waconia; five grandchildrne; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Orville of Gaylord, Milton of Glencoe, Leroy of Milaca, and Milo of Bird Island.
Wallace Henry Uecker was born June 11, 1927, in Gaylord, to Henry and Anna (Beich) Uecker.
He served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 19, 1945 to April 3, 1947.

Oscar Zeller, 89, of Kansas City, Mo., and formerly of Springfield, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, in Hamilton, Ohio.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Spirngfield, with burial in St. Raphael's Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his daughters, Virginia Noonan of Hamilton, Ohio, and Patricia Filley of Kansas City, Mo; and six grandchildren.
He was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Aberdeen, S.D. to Otto and Lena (Johnson) Sellner.

Myrtle Mae Zschunke, 75, of Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at Redwood Area Hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, with a prayer service at 6 p.m., and at the church Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Donald "Don" Zschunke of Redwood Falls; sons, Michael of Rochester and John of Rosemount; a daughter, Mary L. Otto of Detroit Lakes; eight grandchildren; brothers, Edward Nye of LeSueur, and William Nye of Henderson; and sisters, Ruth VanDenAcre of Mankato and Elaine Nelson of LaPointe, Wis.
She was born May 24, 1927, in Henderson to Carl Edward and Lyly (Schrupp) Ney (Nye).

Donneth J. Krinke, 80, of Lamberton, died Thursday at the Springfield Hospital in Springfield
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at the Lamberton Methodist Church in Lamberton, with burial in the Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Lamberton Methodist Church and will continue on Monday one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.
He is survived by his wife Zona of Lamberton; daughters: Constance Vander Weele ofSpring Grove, Ill. and Randi L. Nelson of Carlisle Mass.; one grandson, and a sister Doris Ann Appelwick of Pine City.
Donneth was born Feb. 22, 1922 in Lamberton to Walter and Anna (Maker) Krinke.
He served in the Navy Air Corp from Dec. 7, 1942 to November 1945.

Ellsworth G. Gode, 84, of Lamberton, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 at his home in Lamberton.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at United Methodist Church in Lamberton, with Pastor Theodora Hall presiding. Interment will be in Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberto. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Joyce Gode of Lamberton; children: Joyce and husband Tom Hoffrogge of Lamberton, James and wife Monica of Sanborn, and John and his wife Deb of Sanborn; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Melven Gode of Sun City, Ariz. and Delbert Gode of Burnsville; one sister, LeOra Batson of Macungzie, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Hulda Gode; a daughter, Janice; his sisters, Mable and Florence along with one brother, Arnold.
Ellsworth Gode was born Jan. 29, 1918 in Sanborn, MN, to Albert and Hulda (Kissner) Gode. He grew up and attended school in Sanborn, graduating from Sanborn High School in 1939. On Aug. 25,1946 Ellsworth married Carol Joyce Kersten at the E.U.B Church in Springfield. He was a dairy farmer in Germantown Township all his life until his retirement in 1979 when he moved into Lamberton.
Ellsworth was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Lamberton. He served as a Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent as well as participating in the church choir, which he loved to do. Ellsworth was fond of driving his pick-up truck downtown and having coffee at Sanger's Bakery. He also loved to play cards and watch baseball.

Roger T. Tykwinski, 58, of 913 South Payne Street in New Ulm died Friday, August 23, 2002 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial at a later date.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
Roger is survived by his wife, Becky Tykwinski of New Ulm; a daughter and son-in-law, Reane and Duane Hendrickson of Rock Lake, North Dakota; sons and daughters-in-law, Ric and Annie Tykwinski of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and Ryan and Jodi Tykwinski of Burnsville; two grandchildren; step-children, Brent Lenz of Faribault and Dara Lenz of Collinsville, Illinois; sisters and brother-in-law, Joan and Bob Gawarecki of Ivanhoe, Phyllis and Mick Leibfried of Blaine, Karen and Marvin Swanson of Ivanhoe and Kathleen Tykwinski and her special friend John Przymus of Villard; and a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Julie Tykwinski of Ivanhoe.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Tykwinski.
Roger was born September 25, 1943 in Ivanhoe to Raymond and Luitta ( Lemker ) Tykwinski. He was a graduate of Ivanhoe High School. He married Becky Evans on July 21, 1992 in Alexandria. Roger was previously employed at Appleton Silo and Lockwood Motors in Marshall and then at Jensen Motors and Runnings in New Ulm at the time of his death. He was a member and past president of the Winthrop Golf Course and a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Oscar Zeller, 89, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of St. Cloud, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 at the Ft. Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springifled, with burial in St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was married to Eleanor Bigot of Springfield on Aug. 12, 1940 at St. Raphael's.

Adeline H. Meyer, 91, of Gaylord, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and continues one hour before the services at the church.
She is survived by sons, LeRoy Meyer of Henderson and Dennis Meyer of Glencoe; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Dryden Township, Sibley County, to Samuel and Magdalena (Abraham) Schlueter.

Helen R. Zempel, 86, of Franklin, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Redwood Area Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Franklin.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Morgan and continues one hour before the service at the church.
She is survived by husband Ortwin Zemple of Franklin; daughters, LaVonne Walter of North Branch, Sandra Nissen of Franklin, Diane McCorguodale of Franklin; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five stepchildren; sisters, Florence Reese of Renville, Rosella Mude of Morton; and brother, Marvin Lothert of Morton;
She was born Nov. 25, 1915, in Renville County, to Frank and Gunda (Plagemann) Lothert.

Myra Bentzin, 93, of New Ulm died Monday, August 26, 2002 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral, and there will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Myra is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Asta Reinarts, Marion and Gene Altmann all of New Ulm; eleven grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Helen Regelin of Woodville, Washington, Irene Jansen of Maplewood; and a sister-in-law, Gerri Gag of Roseville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred "Fritz" Bentzin on October 10, 1990; a brother, Walter Gag; and brothers-in-law, Gilbert Regelin and Cal Jansen.
She was born on August 14, 1909, in New Ulm to Albert L. and Lena (Fesenmaier) Gag. She married Fred "Fritz" Bentzin on July 2, 1932 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they resided in New Ulm. She had worked as a country school teacher for three years and then she worked part-time as a clerk for the Brown County Treasurer for 42 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm and was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers Society, Council of Catholic Women, Turner Ladies and Gray Ladies.

Edward L. Price, 68, of rural Wabasso, died Aug. 26, 2002, at Redwood Area Hospital of renal cell carcinoma.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the church with a rosary service at 5 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m; and continues one hour before services at the church.
Redwood Valley Funeral Home of Redwood Falls is handling arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Ken Price of Minneapolis, Ann Fleming of Medina, Art Price of Mankato, Carol Price of Albuquerque, N.M., Vince Price of Portland, Ore., Judy Asby of Twin Falls, Idaho, Nick Price of Wabasso, Alice Hammond of Prescott, Ariz, Phil Price of St. Clair and Sy Price of Scottsdale, Ariz; 23 grandchildren; brothers, Jack, Don, Bill and Tom; and sisters, Marian and Doris.
He was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Waterbury Township to John and Magdalene (Schwengle) Price.
He served in the U.S. Army in 1955.

Rose Marie Caven, 82, of Fairfax, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at the Renville County Hospital in Olivia.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax with a 7 p.m. prayer service; and continues one hour before the service at the church.
She is survived by siblings, James Caven of Aberdeen, S.D., Gene Caven of Morton, Virginia Dane of Twin Falls, Idaho, Victoria Weise of St. Louis Park, Charles Caven of Fairfax and Kathryn Schmitt of Winsted.

Robert L. Kizer Sr., 78, of Winthrop, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 30, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop with burial in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Madelia.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Friday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop, and continues one hour prior to services at the church. Parish prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.

James T. Mathiason, 79, of Walnut Grove, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at St. John's Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at Old Westbrook Ev. Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in the Walnut Grove Funeral Home, and at the church Monday hour prior to the services
Walnut Grove Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carol Melzark, 75, of Upland, Calif., formerly of New Ulm, died Jan. 28, 2002, in Fontana, Calif.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being made by Schmucker Funeral Service, New Ulm.
She is survived by sons, Mark Melzark of Fayetteville, Ark., and Michael Melzark of Burlingame, Calif.; a daughter, Denise yates of Fayettevile, Ark., and three grandchildren.
She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo.

Ellsworth Sandmann, 81, of Morgan, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Evan, with burla in the Danebod Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.
