Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Redwood Falls with burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Clements.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and continues Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her mother Ila Ohlemann of Redwood Falls; husband Raymond of Redwood Falls; sons, Joe of Montevideo and Guy of Bunnlevel, N.C. and Wade of Redwood Falls; a daughter, Shelly Kloos of Winsted; 11 grandchildren; one stepgrandson; one great-granddaughter; and a brother, John Ohlemann of Gibbon.
She was born Sept. 6, 1938, to Marin and Ila (Wheeler) Ohlemann in rural Wabasso.

Ronald Hammer, 66, of Le Sueur, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at the Veteran's Hospital in Minneapolis.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur, with burial in Ottawa Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Le Sueur; one son; one daughter; and a brother, Arthur and his wife Agnes Meier of New Ulm.

Veronica Hansen, 101, of Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at the Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Divine Providence Community Home Chapel in Sleepy Eye. The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Veronica is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Charles "Chisey" Hansen and Harold "Hooch" and Jeanne Hansen, all of Sleepy Eye; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Katherine Hansen of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles C. "C.C." Hansen on March 25, 1968; a son, Dick Hansen on Jan. 10, 1992; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hansen on May 16, 2001; brothers, Louie and Bert Bauer; and a sister, Sister Albertina "Rose" Bauer.
Veronica was born Nov. 25, 1900, in Sleepy Eye, to Clement and Mary (Rosenhammer) Bauer. She was united in marriage with Charles C. "C.C." Hansen on Nov. 22, 1923, at the St. Mary's Rectory in Sleepy Eye. After marriage they lived in Sleepy Eye, where she worked as a homemaker and bookkeeper for the her husband's business, The City Drayline. She enjoyed her grandchildren and cooking and was very active in many church and civic activities. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and the National Catholic Society of Foresters.

Roger Anakkala, 62, of Renville, and formerly of Redwood Falls, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, at Renville County Hospital in Olivia.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Wrenwood Home in Renville, with burial at Beaver Cemetery, Aiken County, at a later date.
Visitation will be 10-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wrenwood Home in Renville.
Arrangements are with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls.
He is survived by his sister Judy Johnson of Plymouth; brothers, Gary of Maple Grove, and Bruce of Brooklyn Park; and father Hugo of Maple Grove.
Roger Anakkala was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Minneapolis, to Hugo and Mayme (Maunu) Anakkala.

Kenneth Coulter, 85, of Lamberton, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, with burial in the Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. today and 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton.
He is survived by his wife Ardell of Lamberton; sons, Dennis Coulter of Shakopee, and Steve Coulter of Hartley, Iowa; grandsons, Jeff and David Coulter of Hartley, Iowa; brother, Donald Coulter of Luverne; and sisters, Lila Harnack of Windom, and Delores Anderson of Pine River.
Kenneth Raymond Coulter was born Nov. 18, 1916, in Waterbury Township, Redwood County, to Harrison and Hazel (Royer) Coulter.
He served in the U.S. Army from August 1941 to December 1945.

Mayme E. Dahlke, 89, of Arlington, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington, with burial at the Arlington Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington, and will continue one hour prior to service all at the church on Thursday.
She is survived by sister, Gertrude Klaustermeier of Glencoe.
Mayme E. Dahlke was born on July 23, 1913, in New Auburn Township, Sibley County, to Frederick and Caroline (Lempfert) Wacker.

Marvin King, 87, of Springfield, formerly of Comfrey, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 at Springfield Medical Center.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield with burial in Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the chapel, one hour prior to services.
He is survived by his wife, Edith of Springfield; brother, Lorimar of Redwood Falls; and sister, Gwen Cullen of Springfield.
He was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Comfrey to John and Phyllis (Fredin) King.

Shirley A. Haag, 65, of Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002 at home.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls with a private family burial at a later date.
Visitation will be Sunday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She is survived by children, Doreen Vien of Grand Forks, N.D., David Vien of River Falls, Wis., and Danette Vien of Marshall; stepdaughter, Tracy Persig of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
She was born Oct. 25, 1936, to Donald and Esther (Giesler) Haag in Lucan.

Edwin J. Saffert, 79, of Springfield, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at his home in Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, with burial in St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. Friday and 7:30 - 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a 7 p.m. parish prayer service Friday at the funeral home and a 10 a.m. men's rosary at Saturday at the church.
He is survived by sisters, Loretta Wenisch of Springfield, Marie Lang of Springfield, and Adeline Roiger of Fairfax; and brothers, Gilbert Saffert of Long Prairie, Dennis Saffert of New Ulm, and Donald Saffert of Springfield.
Edwin J. "Speedy" Saffert was born Oct. 30, 1922, to George and Edith (Kastner) Saffert in Stately Township, Brown County.

Martha Schmidt, 96, of Sleepy Eye, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at the Divine Providence Chapel in Sleepy Eye with burial in the Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday at Divine Providence Chapel in Sleepy Eye. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Sally (Larson) Peterson of Savage; son, Lyle of Vancouver, Washington; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was born on May 28, 1906, in Prairieville Township, Brown County to John and Johanna (Riebel) Fritz.

Cody Austin Vanderlouw was stillborn on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Gibbon.
He is survived by his parents, Courtney (Schweiss) Vanderlouw of Fairfax and Larry Vanderlouw, Jr. of New Ulm; a brother, Isaac Schweiss of Fairfax; sisters, Hayley and Jade Vanderlouw of Fairfax; grandparents, Cyndi and Brian Schweiss of Gibbon, Larry Vanderlouw, Sr. of New Ulm, and Faye Vanderlouw of New Ulm; and by great-grandparents.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert H. Bade, 81, of Arlington, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arlington with burial with military honors in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife Ramona Elizabeth of Arlington; daughter, Susan Pinske of Arlington; sons, Bruce and Kenneth of Arlington and Brian of Chanhassen; six grandchildren; and sisters Ruth Scheer and Martha Trocke of Arlington.
He was born Dec. 29, 1930 in Arlington Township to Albert and Emma (Nieland) Bade. He served in the U.S. Army from September 1952 to September 1954.

Olga K. Hahn, 93, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002 at Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Grace Lutheran Church, Hutchinson with burial in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Nicollet.
Visitation is Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
She is survived by sons Roger Kastens of Nicollet and Floyd Kastens of Hutchinson; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
She was born April 30, 1909 to John and Matilda (Engel) Bode in Nicollet Township.
Arrangements are with Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson.

Sylvia C. Morningstar, 71, of St. Paul, formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002.
Services are 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Mueller Mortuary, St. Paul with grave side services at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Sleepy Eye. A reception will follow at Divine Providence Home.
She is survived by sons, Jeffrey, Paul, Gerard Firkus; two granddaughters; a sister, Mary Lou Vetter; and a brother, Joseph Herriges.
She was born to Al and Theresa (Schneider) Herriges. Her step-parents are Ethel (Morrison) Herriges and Al Firkus.
Memorials are preferred to veterans groups or Salesian Missions. Local arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye.

Inez S. Sucker, 77, of Sleepy Eye, died Friday, September 20, 2002, at her home in Sleepy Eye,
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, with burial in Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Inez was born on September 6, 1925 in Lin Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Elsie (Remmele) Hale. She moved to Sleepy Eye with her parents in 1926. Inez attended Sleepy Eye Public School and graduated in 1943. She attended Teacher's Training in New Ulm. After graduation Inez was a teacher at District #30 and #17 rural schools until marriage. She married Robert Charles Sucker on December 23, 1945 in Framingham, Mass. Inez was bookkeeper for Sucker Plumbing & Heating, Sleepy Eye Grain & Feed and Haas Stationary & Office Supply. She was also an Avon representative for many years. Inez was on kidney dialysis for I I-1/2 years. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye and a member of the Legion Auxiliary. Inez enjoyed knitting, gardening and reading.
Inez is survived by her husband, Robert Sucker of Sleepy Eye, sons; David and Kathy Suker of Sleepy Eye, Donald and Rosemary Suker of Apple Valley, Dean and Barbara Sucker of Hill Air Force Base, UT, 7 grandchildren and sister, Margaret and Frank Fisch of Fort Collins, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Hale.

Von Raymond, age 39, of Ancorage, Alaska, died on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, in Ancorage.
He was born on June 1, 1964, in New Ulm, to Rodney and Coleen (McCoy) Raymond. He graduated from the New Ulm High School, Class of 1981. He moved to Alaska in 1984, where he worked as a sheet rocker and painter with a building construction firm.
He is survived by his parents Rodney and Coleen Raymond of Deerwood; son Von James Raymond of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter Victoria Raymond of Anchorage, Alaska; brother Kurt Raymond of New Ulm; maternal grandfather Dale McCoy of Crosby; nephew Jack Raymond; and niece Karlie Raymond. He is preceded in death by a brother, Kevin James Raymond, in 1983.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Deerwood, with Fr. Howard Eisel officiating. Burial will be at the Deerwood Scandia Cemetery in Deerwood. Friends may call on Monday one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
