Nina Musser, 78, of Fairmont. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the First Congregational Church-United Church of Christ in Fairmont, with burial in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont.
Mrs. Musser died Wednesday morning Oct. 16, 2002, at her home near Fairmont.
Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Nina May Pietan was born on June 21, 1924, in Silver Lake Township, Martin County, the daughter of Henry and Clara (Sorenson) Pietan. She attended District 21 Country School then attended Fairmont High School, graduating in 1941. After high school, she worked as a Nurse's Aide at the Hunt Hospital. On July 11, 1943, Nina was united in marriage to Warren Musser at the First Congregational Church - UCC in Fairmont. They farmed north of Fairmont for several years before moving to the Pietan Family Farm in Silver Lake Township. Over the years, Nina has worked at Miller's Fashion, Georgia's and Janzen's Greenhouse. Warren passed away on Sept. 3. 2001, Nina was a member of the First Congregational, United Church of Christ in Fairmont.
She is survived by her son Randy Musser and his wife Marcia of Fairmont; daughter Sandy Fritz of New Ulm; six granddaughters, Kristy Musser of Minneapolis, Karla Musser of St. Anthony, Heidi Fritz of Worthington, Jenny Fritz of Mankato, and Michelle Musser and Melissa Musser of St. Cloud; two brothers, Ervin Pietan and his wife Irene of Wells, and Norman Pietan of Mankato; two brothers-in-law, Wilbur Musser and his wife Hazel, and George Musser and his wife Janet, all of Fairmont; two sisters-in-law, Clarice Schuster and her husband Edward of St. Paul, and Eva Jean Musser of Longmont, Colo.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Nina is also preceded in death by her husband, Warren; one son-in-law, Bob Fritz; and one brother-in-law, Vernon Musser.

Eleanora D. Ziegler, 85, of Winthrop, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop, with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop, and will continue one hour prior to the time of services at the church on Saturday.
Arrangements are with the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop.
She is survived by her sons, Bernie Ziegler of Annandale, Va., Peter Ziegler of Montevideo, and Dan Ziegler of Kahului, Hawaii; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Alfred Luepke of Arlington, and Ray Luepke of Arlington.
Eleanora (Luepke) Ziegler was born on Aug. 16, 1917, in Arlington, to Frank and Rosa (Henke) Luepke.

Eugene Abraham, 66, of Gaylord, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Sibley Medical Center, Arlington.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Martha M. Weber, 86, formerly of Gibbon, died Friday, Oct, 18, 2002, at the Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with burial in St. Willibrord's Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. There will be a rosary by the Council of Catholic Women at 6 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. both Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Martha is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Roger Stippel of rural Aitkin, Marilyn and Randy Buboltz of Litchfield; son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Jennifer Weber of Lake City; grandchildren, Colleen Dhennin and her husband, Mark of Coon Rapids, Roger Stippel, Jr. and his wife, Lori of Woodbury, Mitchell Stippel and his wife, Margie of Portugal, Jane Peterson and her husband, David of La Crescent, Jill Taylor and her husband, Rodger of Trimont, Susan Bullerman and her husband, Leon of Adrian, Craig Buboltz of Saipan, Melissa Buboltz and her fiance, Dan Handorff both of Rochester; sisters and brother-in-law, Clara Schroepfer, Amelia Heitzer both residents of the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye, Catherine and Harold Johnson of Madelia, Angeline Weber of Gibbon, Anna Hacker of Lafayette; and brothers and sister-in-law, Leonard Sellner, Clement and Dorothy Sellner all of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Weber on June 30, 1999; a son, Jerome Weber in infancy; brothers, Christopher, Albert, William, Edmund and Florian Sellner; and sisters, Mary Moldan, Mathilda Blumhoefer, and Bertha Muehlbauer.
She was born on June 14, 1916, in Albin Township, Brown County to Christopher and Marianna (Schloegl) Sellner. On September 10, 1940 she married Joseph Weber at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. After marriage they lived on the farm in rural Stewart. They farmed for 30 years and retired in 1970 and moved to Gibbon. She loved being a homemaker and enjoyed her family and crafts. She was a member of St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon and was a member of the Council of Catholic Women at church.

Eugene H. Abraham, 66, of Gaylord, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Sibely Medical Center in Arlington.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and continues one hour before services Tuesday at the church.
He is survived by spouse, Joanne Abraham of Gaylord; sons, Neil Abraham of Lakewood, Colo., James Abraham of Gaylord, and Darwin Abraham of Gaylord; daughters, Justine Johnke of Glencoe, Suzanne Pichotta of Winthrop; and brother, Maynard Abraham of Gaylord; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and stepgrandchildren.
He was born July 14, 1936, in Transit Township, Sibley County, to Arthur and Estella (Otting) Abraham.
He served in the Army National Guard from 1954 to 1962.

Marlin J. Amos, 67, of St. Peter, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at St. Peter Community Hospital after a long battle with diabetes.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at First Lutheran Church in St. Peter. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery in St. Peter.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice of St. Peter; a son, Paul and his wife Krista of St. Peter; a granddaughter, Anna of St. Peter; a brother, Gerald of Waterloo, Iowa; two sisters, Dorothy and her husband Neal Harris of Coffeyville, Kansas and Barbara Lindberg, also of Coffeyville, Kansas, and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother Wayne.
He was born Oct. 7, 1935, in Willmar to Glen and Elizabeth (Larson) Amos. He was raised by his grandmother Selma Larson. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1955 and with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mankato State University in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army. In 1959 he married Eunice Paulson at the United Methodist Church in Atwater, Minnesota.
Marlin was involved in and enjoyed athletics all of his life. He was on the Minnesota All-State High School Football Team, was football captain at Mankato State University and played Army sports. He enjoyed playing golf and coaching youth sports. He was a loyal sports fan.

Mabel H. Drennon, 88, of Gaylord, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Gaylord Lakeview Home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at American Lutheran Church in Gaylord with burial in the Gaylord Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at American Lutheran Church in Gaylord and continues one hour before the service at the church.
Arrangements are handled by Egesdal Funeral Home.
She is survived by brothers, Ruben Hahn, Herman Hahn, Ray Hahn, all of Gaylord; and sister, Elsie Bembenek of Gaylord.
She was born May 3, 1914, in Sibley Township, rural gaylord, to Herman and Albertina (Briest) Hahn.

Delbert M. Gluth, 89, of New London, formerly of Morgan, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at Belgrade Nursing Home, Belgrade.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2002, at Zion Lutheran Church, Morgan with burial in Morgan City Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Morgan.
Arrangements are with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service, Morgan.
He is survived by his wife Marian of New London; daughters, Jane Friedrich of Spicer and Carol Gluth of Willmar and two granddaughters.
She was born Jan. 31, 1913, in rural Morgan to Adolph and Natalia (Post) Gluth.

Harold Muesing, 88, of Nicollet died Monday, October 21, 2002, at the St. Peter Community Health Care Center in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with burial in the Church Cemetery, rural Nicollet.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet, and then will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Thursday.
Harold is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Nate Bode of rural Courtland; sons and daughter-in-law, Doug Muesing, a resident of the Vets Home in Hastings, Dean Muesing and Julie Thorleifson of Mankato; a daughter-in-law Judy Kelly and her husband, Tim, of Shakopee; grandchildren, Chad and Cory Muesing, Jeff, Bryan, and Aaron Bode, John Muesing, Allison and Mollie Kelly, and Claire Thorleifson; a sister, Esther Becker of North Mankato; sisters-in-law, Thelma Summers of Donovan, Illinois, Opal Schuch of Mankato, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Harold Freitag of rural Nicollet; a brother-in-law Morrie Guemmer of New Ulm; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Dwayne and Babe Nourie of rural Nicollet and Dennis and Jay Nourie of Mankato, and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gertrude, on January 31, 1998; a son, David Muesing; a brother, Arthur Muesing; sisters, Marian Guemmer and Gertrude Voeltz, and Linda and Dorothy both in infancy; and by sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
Harold, the son of Fred and Louise (Pehling) Muesing, was born on June 27, 1914, in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County. He attended the Lutheran School in rural Nicollet and graduated from the Nicollet Public High School. On July 16, 1942, he married Gertrude Nourie in Mankato. After marriage they farmed in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County. He also worked as a psychiatric technician at the St. Peter State Hospital in St. Peter for many years. In 1976 he retired but continued to live on the farm until 1993 when he moved into Nicollet. Harold was a life-time member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet and had served on many church committees. He was an avid sportsman in his earlier years and was a current member of the Nicollet Conservation Club. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and had enjoyed bowling. He was also a member of the Senior Citizens Club in Nicollet.

Phyllis 'Sally' Peterson, 74, of 1004 South Broadway in New Ulm, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at First United Methodist Church in New Ulm. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home and will continue for one hour prior to the time of the service at the church on Thursday.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Clayton Peterson of New Ulm; daughters-and sons-in-law, Cindy and Gayln Schnobrich of Lafayette, and JoAnn and Wayne Jorgensen of Sumner, Washington; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve 'Pete' and Jan Peterson of Mankato, and Glenn and Tamara Peterson of Luther, Iowa; grandchildren, Glenn Peterson Jr., Amy Schnobrich, Gayln Schnobrich Jr., Lars Jorgensen, Carly Ogata, Karen Shirk, DeAnna Smyth, Dave Gamble, Mike Gamble, and Jenny Peterson; great grandchildren, Blake Schnobrich, Deivin Schnobrich, Christopher Gamble, Scotty Smyth and Trae Smyth; a sister, Bertha Alexander of Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph and Chuck Wheaton; and sisters, Eunice Heleferich, Lil Demery, and Delores Spencer.
Phyllis was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Clyde and Amy (Spaun) Wheaton. She attended Fort Dodge Public School. On April 8, 1946, she married Clayton Peterson in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After marriage she worked as a nurse's aide in Perry, Iowa and helped her husband in his business, Peterson Electric. They moved to New Ulm in 1968 where she worked at the New Ulm Hobby Shop and then was a cook and a nurse's aide at the Union Hospital and the Loretto Hospital until the mid 1970s.
She enjoyed hobby hand crafts. She also like to travel and enjoyed fishing at their lake home. She loved and took pride in being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to all who came into her life.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm.

Mildred Scheman, 84, of Sleepy Eye and formerly of New Ulm died Saturday, Oct.19, 2002, at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
A private family service will be Saturday, Oct. 26, at Divine Providence Community Home Chapel in Sleepy Eye with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mildred was born Sept. 29, 1918, in New Ulm to Henry and Anna (Polta) Scheman.

MeLissa Knaub, 21, of Lincoln, Neb., died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, in Lincoln, Neb., as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral and internment services were held Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, in Lincoln.
MeLissa Marie Decker, the daughter of Helene (Brandel) and Tim Decker was born Oct. 26, 1980, in Lincoln.
She is survived by her husband Dennis (DJ); daughter Katelynn and stepson Jaydon of Lincoln; parents Helene and Tim Decker of Ashland, Neb.; sister Michelle and brother MyCole of Ashland; parents-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law of Lincoln; grandparents, Marie Brandel of New Ulm, Delores Decker of Hutchinson, and Ed LaBell of Stillwater; great-grandmother Helen Kenning of New Ulm; and aunts, uncles and cousins of the New Ulm area.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, George Brandel; and great-grandfather John Kenning, both in 2001.

Edward T. Scully, 92, of Arlington, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at St. Mary's Care Center, Winsted.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Arlington with burial with military honors in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, Jessenland Township.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Kolden Funeral Home, Arlington and Thursday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Arlington and daughter, Vivian Radabaugh of Hastings.
He was born Oct. 15, 1910 in Jessenland Township, Sibley County to Joseph and Mary (Anderly) Scully.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from April 1942 to August 1945.

Wilhelmina Jordahl, 87, of Madelia, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia.
She is survived by her sons, Peter Jordahl of Madelia, and Ellef Jordahl of Yankton, S.D.; and five grandchildren.
Wilhelmina Jordahl was born July 24, 1915, in Holland to Theodorus and Theodora (Heinink) Heimen.

Larry Frauendienst, 50, of rural Gayord, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn with burial in the High Island Cemtery in New Auburn.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Monday and 7:30-8:30 a.m., Tuesday at Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and continues one hour before services at the church.

Ivan Aspelund, 70, of St. James, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Lake Crystal Health Care Center.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Albion Lutheran Church in St. James, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. Friday and 7:30 - 11 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday.
Ivan is survived by his wife Ardella of St. James; son Ronald Aspelund of Hanska; daughters, Kim Petterson of Lakefield, and Patti Nommensen of St. James; five grandchildren; brothers, Elmo Aspelund of St. James, and Verdell Aspelund of Madelia; and sisters, Delores Joramo of Hanska, Ives Wilson of New Ulm, and Marjorie Peterson of Burnsville.
Ivan Roland Aspelund was born April 24, 1932, to Seth and Julia (Shellum) Aspelund in Albin Township, Brown County.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, from May 12, 1953 to May 4, 1955.
