Services are 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Sunday, at Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
She is survived by mother and stepfather, Shelly and David Risser of rural Motley; brothers, Tyler Childs and Tristin Risser; sister, Whittney Risser; grandparents, Dean and Esther Childs of Redwood Falls; Gene and Pat Solmonson of Gaylord; great-grandparents, Cora Solmonson and Arthur Green of Gaylord.
She was born Oct. 1, 1986, in Arlington, to Tim and Sheely (Solmonson) Childs.

Larry Frauendienst, 50, of rural Gaylord, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Sibley Medical Center, Arlington.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, t Immanuel Lutheran Church, New Auburn with burial in High Island Cemetery, New Auburn.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Monday and 7:30-8:30 a.m., Tuesday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Barb of Gaylord; his mother, Esther of Gaylord; brothers, Darrel and Dale both of Gaylord.
He was born Jan. 12, 1952, in Gaylord to Elmer and Esther (Alsleben) Frauendienst.

Cecile M. Swenstad, 66, of Sleepy Eye, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Fairview University Medical Center, Minneapolis.
Services are 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sleepy Eye with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Sunday and 7:30-9 a.m., Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, and Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her children, Dean of St. James, Douglas and Dennis of Fairmont, Diane Heiderscheidt of Sleepy Eye, Don of Sleepy Eye, Deby Hillesheim of Sleepy Eye and Duane of Eau Claire, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Lyle Maxwell of Tucson, Ariz., Wesley Maxwell of Apple Valley, Johnny Maxwell of St. Paul, and Calvin and Ervin Maxwell, both of Sleepy Eye; sisters, Josphine Mikocevich of St. Paul and Arla Davenport of Mt. Washington, Ky.
She was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Sleepy Eye to Frank and Cory (Purdy) Maxwell.

Walter Bruns, 86, of Lamberton, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at the Redwood Area Hospital, Redwood Falls.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lamberton, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lamberton and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
Walnut Grove Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Russell Jensen, 95, of Springfield, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are tentatively planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Sundown Lutheran Church, rural Springfield.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Home Chapel with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield is handling arrangements.

Walter Bruns, 86 of Lamberton, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday,Oct. 29, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton. Burial will be in the Lamberton cemetery.
Visitation if 4-7 p.m. Monday at the church and continues one hour prior to services Tuesday.
The Walnut Grove Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.
Walter Frederick Bruns was born on Dec. 18, 1915, to John Frederick and Emma Louise (Buhman) Bruns in Madelia, Minn. He attended country school. He was confirmed in 1930 at Mountain Lake in the Lutheran Faith. At the age of 15 the family moved to a farm north of Lamberton.
Walter was united in marriage to Eleonora Evelyn Schiller at Zion Lutheran Church in Lamberton. To this union three children were born: Larry, Eileen, and Carol. The couple lived and farmed near Springfield, for four years, then settled north of Lamberton where they farmed until retiring in 1982. They continued to live on their farm until his death.
Walter served on the township board and church council. For many years he served as a church taxi driver, picking up elderly members for worship services. He did custom work at haying and harvesting time, filled silos and helped anyone that needed help. He continued helping neighbors with farm work after his retirement, up until the day before his death, hauling grain,and tilling when he was able. He loved to travel, and was always willing to help his children and grandchildren.
Walter Frederick Bruns died on Oct. 25, 2002 at his home in Lamberton at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 7 days.
He is survived by his wife Eleonora of Lamberton; son Larry (Elena) of Lomita, Calif.; daughters Eileen (Douglas) Sommer of Zumbrota, and Carol (James) Kopel of Tyler; grandchildren Aaron Kopel of Plymouth, Laura Kopel of Minnetonka, and Nathanael (Jamie) Sommer of Wanamingo; stepgrandchildren Gina (Frank) Enriquez, Nina (John) Ball Jr., Bettina Embry, stepgreat-grandson Nicholas Acosta, all of California; two sisters Florence Halvorson of Springfield and Nellie Bruns of Seattle, Wash.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Leonard, Lester and Orville.
Blessed be his memory.

Evelyn Heuchert, 82, of 111 Bianchi Drive in New Ulm, died Saturday morning, October 26, 2002, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with burial to follow in the New Ulm, City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Evelyn Marie Wiedenheft, the daughter of Otto and Anna Marie (Ruwald) Wiedenheft, was born May 3, 1920, in Good Thunder, Minn. After graduating from Good Thunder High School, she attended the St. John's School of Nursing in Red Wing, graduating as a registered nurse. She worked as a surgical nurse at Immanuel Hospital in Mankato and later served as head nurse at the Lutheran Children Friends Society in Minneapolis. She was united in marriage to Leonard Heuchert on Nov. 3, 1946, at St, John's Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. Together they raised their family in Good Thunder for twenty-three years, before moving to New Ulm in 1970. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm, serving with the Dorcas Circle, Faith Hope & Charity, and was an honorary member of LWML.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Leonard of New Ulm; sons, John Heuchert and his wife Jean of New Ulm, Bruce Heuchert and his wife Lynn of New Ulm, L. Scott Heuchert and his wife Susan of Morgan; daughter, Carolyn Heuchert of New Ulm; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Heuchert and his wife Carol of Houston, Texas, Charles Heuchert and his wife Bird of Lyndhurst, Va.; sisters-in-law, Lorene Cordes of Henning, Minn., Jane Wiedenheft of Mesa, Ariz., Della Wiedenheft of Mission Viejo, Calif., Carmen Geistfeld of Mankato; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons Michael, age 13 and his twin brother in infancy; and three brothers,

Rees Jones, 87, of rural Lake Crystal, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Nancy's Comfort Kare, rural Kasota.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Thursday at Cambria Presbyterian Church with burial in Cambria Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour before the service Thursday at the church.

Selma Korslund, 89, of Northfield, formerly of Hanska, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at Northfield Care Center.
Services are 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Nora Unitarian-Universalist Church, Hanska with burial at Mt. Pisquah Cemetery, Hanska.
Visitation is Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She was born Aug. 4, 1913, to Ole Larson and Anna Torgenson in Walker.
She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Holden of Northfield and Donna Pace of Carrollton, Ga.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are with Schmucker Funeral Service, Hanska.

Tom Lapic, 49, of Eden Prairie and formerly of New Ulm, died Oct. 25, 2002, in a plane crash near Eveleth.
Memorial service is 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy; mother, Marie; and sister, Lynn Guggisberg of Gibbon.
Memorials donations can be made to the Tom Lapic Memorial Fund at the University of Minnesota Foundation, 200 Oak St. S.E., University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN 55455.

Elvin W. Lindeman, 69, of rural New Auburn, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at his home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Auburn with burial in High Island Cemetery, New Auburn.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Lindeman of Glencoe; a brother, Milton of New Auburn and sisters, Delores Kramer of Hutchinson and Betty Klaustermeier of Norwood.
He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Penn Township, McLeod County, Minnesota to Otto and Helen (Biermann) Lindeman.

Katherine Sveum, 83, of Madelia, formerly of Hanska, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schmucker Funeral Service in Hanska, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Katherine Holt, the daughter of Hans and Ann (Paulsen) Holt, was born May 2, 1919, in Lake Crystal. As a child, she moved with her family to Wild Rose, N.D., where she spent her youth and attended school. After graduating from high school in 1937, she moved to Lake Crystal, and attended Mankato Community College. She married Tollie Evenson in December 1943 in Lake Crystal. They farmed in Butternut Township near Lake Crystal until his death in 1952. She was united in marriage to Joe Sveum in May 1958 in Lake Crystal. Together they fanned in Lake Hanska Township, Brown County, for many years. Joe died in 1991. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska and Ladies Aid; American Legion Auxiliary; and T.O.P.S. Katie moved to the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia in December 2001.
Survivors include her sister-in-Iaw, Lois Ahlness of Hanska; nieces, Gloria Klinkner and her husband Gary of New Ulm, Mary Oswald of Maple Grove, Nancy Sorgatz and her husband Burt of Elmore, KayeDelle Gilbertson and her husband Vic of Albert Lea, Shirley Anderson and her husband Wes of Shakopee, Suzanne Stoesz and her husband Larry of Hanska, Betty Schnobrich and her husband Mark of Hutchinson, Priscilla Joyce of Mesa, Ariz.; nephew, Leland Moe and his wife Geri of Savage; and many great-nieces and great- nephews.

Nancy Thompson, 103, of Madelia died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002 at Faith Lutheran Church, Madelia, with burial in Rosendale Lutheran Cemetery, rural St. James.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by daughters, Margaret Scott of Arlington, Texas and Dorothy Rieke of Franklin; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was born Nov. 5, 1898, to Benjt and Albertina (Larson) Nelson in Ledyard, Iowa.

Rees Jones, 87, of rural Lake Crystal, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Nancy's Comfort Kare, rural Kasota.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at Cambria Presbyterian Church with Rev. Penny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002 at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Mr. Jones was born July 15, 1915, in Garden City, to Thomas and Suzanne Jones. He graduated from Garden City High School in 1933. He was united in marriage to Sara L. Lewis on Nov. 16, 1940, in Cambria. Mr. Jones was self-employed as a sheep shearer for more than 60 years. He also drove truck for many years, during the pea, sweet corn and hybrid corn seasons. He was a member of the Cambria Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed going for coffee and visiting friends.
He is survived by his son and wife Howard and Sheri Jones of rural Lake Crystal; two daughters, Nancy and Robert Clark of Broomfield, Colo., and Lynda and Richard Fleming of New Richland; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and niece Bonnie Weseman of Litchfield. He was preceded in death by his wife Sara; infant sister; and two brothers, Robert and Edward.

Russell Everett Jensen, 96, of Springfield, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at Sundown Lutheran Church in rural Springfield, with burial in the Sundown Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. today at the St. John Lutheran Home Chapel in Springfield, and will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Wednesday. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
He is survived by his sisters, Leola Jahr of Vashon, Wash., and Mildred Meyer of Mahnomen.
Russell Everett Jensen was born May 10, 1906, in Sundown Township, to Nels and Carrie (Butler) Jensen.

Ethel Kuelbs, 99, formerly of New Ulm, died Sunday, October 27, 2002, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
Ethel is survived by her sister, Helen Sletten of Madelia; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was born Feb. 28, 1903, to William and Anna (Redlich) Neuman.

Virgil R. Lunderborg, 76, of Winthrop, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon, with burial in the Clear Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Cornish Township, Sibley County, with full military rites by the Winthrop Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the service time at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel of Winthrop.
