Tim Nachreiner, age 47, of rural Fairfax, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at his home in rural Fairfax, due to a heart attack.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 11, 2002, at 11:00 A.M., at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax.
Interment will be in the church cemetery in Cairo Twp., Renville Co.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3:308:30 P.M. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:0011:00 A.M. at the church. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 P.M. and the Parish Prayer Service will be at 7:30 P.M., both on Sunday night, at the church. Arrangements are with the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax.
Timothy Edmund Nachreiner was born January 27, 1955, in Sleepy Eye. He was the son of Edmund and Loretta (Tauber) Nachreiner. Tim was baptized as an infant in Springfield, and was later confirmed in his faith, as a youth at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. Tim attended school in Leavenworth, before graduating from Fairfax High School in 1973.
Tim was united in marriage with Janet R. Weiss on May 17, 1975, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. The couple celebrated 27 years of marriage together.
During his lifetime, Tim worked as a mechanic at Varpness Implement in Lamberton. He later worked at Anderson Implement in Redwood Falls and Berdan Implement in Fairfax before he began his family dairy farming operation in Cairo Township, Renville County.
Tim was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax, where he served in the past on the church council. He also served for many years on the Cairo Township Board, currently holding the position of supervisor.
Tim loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially football and wrestling. He loved farming and milking his cows, with his wife and children working along side of him. He was a handi-man and could fix anything.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Nachreiner; mother-in-law, Monica Weiss, and brother-in-law, Rick Fischer.
Tim is survived by his wife, Janet Nachreiner of rural Fairfax; sons, Christopher Nachreiner and his special friend, Tina Evenson of rural Fairfax, and Curtis Nachreiner and his fiancée Lisa Firle of rural Fairfax; daughters, Rachel Nachreiner of rural Fairfax, and Rebecca Nachreiner of rural Fairfax; father, Edmund Nachreiner of Fairfax; brothers, Tom Nachreiner of Fairfax, Gene Nachreiner and his wife, Joni of Fairfax, Tony Nachreiner of Fairfax, LeAnder Nachreiner and his wife, Mary of Fairfax, and Joe Nachreiner and his wife, Mary of Fairfax; father-in-law, Linus Weiss of Sleepy Eye; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donna Weiss of Gaylord, Marvin Weiss and his wife, Maralee of Sleepy Eye, Stephen "Gar" Weiss of Sleepy Eye, Patty Tauer and her husband, Clete of Sleepy Eye, MaryAnn Fischer and her special friend, Jerry Baumann of Sleepy Eye, Julie Hildebrandt and her husband, Eugene of St. James, Audrey Ruud and her husband, Ken of Springfield, Missouri, Jeannie Hietanen and her husband, Brad of Buffalo, Richard Weiss of Sleepy Eye, and Brenda Stimpert and her husband, Mike of Sleepy Eye; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Eleanor G. Sellner, 86, of Springfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002 at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Comfrey with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Comfrey with a parish prayer service at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by her daughters, Bernadine Schwaegerl of Spicer, Geraldine Berg of Albert Lea; sons, James of Gold River, Calif., Donald of Mesquite, Texas, Thomas of Bellevue, Neb., Kenneth of North Mankato and Loren of Belton, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Windschitl of Detroit Lakes, Richard Windschitl of North Mankato; two sisters-in-law, Rosella Windschitl of Sleepy Eye and Betty Windschitl of Belle Plaine.
She was born Aug. 9, 1916 in Mulligan Township to Frederick and Catherine (Reminger) Windschitl.

Donald 'Boots' Bertrand Krzmarzick, 74, of Sleepy Eye, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a K.C. rosary at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donald was born July 11, 1928 in New Ulm, to Florian and Mathilda (Bertrand) Krzmarzick He lived in Sleepy Eye until the age of eight when he moved with his parents to the Krzmarzick homestead east of Sleepy Eye. He farmed with his father until his father's death and then continued as a fourth generation farmer of the Krzmarzick farm. He served in the U.S. Army from August 1952 to August 1954. He was stationed in Korea part of that time. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Aid Association and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He also was a member of the Sleepy Eye VFW and the American Legion Post, the Sleepy Eye Golf Club. He was involved for many years with the Sleepy Eye Bowling Association. For a number of years he has spent winters in Hot Springs, Arkansas and New Braunfels, Texas in the company of his friend, Ray Lang. Boots enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting and working on crossword puzzles,
He is survived by his sisters, Florine C. Rohde of Circle Pines, Minn., and Margaret ( Peggy ) and her husband Ray Tauer of Sleepy Eye, Minn.; a brother, Charles P. and his wife Wilma Krzmarzick of Sierra Vista., Ariz., 18 nieces and nephews; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Florian and Mathilda.

Ruth A. Goelz, 73, of Franklin, died, Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at the Redwood Falls Area Hospital.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and continues at the church Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Church of the Sacred Heart in Franklin, with burial in St. Patrick's Birch Cooley Cemetery, Renville County.
She is survived by husband. Bernard Goelz, of Franklin; son, daughters: Cathy Buley of Sleepy Eye. Barbara Goelz of North Mankato, Ruth Ann Goelz of New Ulm, Diane Kowalchuk of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, and Audrey Ewen of Franklin; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; twin sister, Rita Seidl of Sleepy Eye; brothers, Johnny of Waseca, Ervin of Long Prairie, James and Linus, all of Redwood Falls.
She was born Oct. 23,1929, in rural Redwood Falls, to John and Katherine (Heiling) Goblirsch.

Esther K. Quast, 91, of rural Gaylord, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at home.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-9 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by a son, Harlan Quast of Gaylord and a sister, Erna Grewe of Winsted.
She was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Hull, Iowa, to Paul and Mary (Drewes) Breuer.

Gilbert S. Utecht, 88, of Sleepy Eye, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Services are 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel of Sleepy Eye; daughters, Sally Burns of Rochester and Ruth Lundborg of Pine Haven, Wyo.; and five grandchildren.
He was born July 3, 1913, in Sleepy Eye, to Fredrick and Ernestnea (Guhlke) Utecht.

Rodney H. 'Burgie' Burgemeister, 54, of Redwood Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at the Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, at United Methodist Church in Redwood Fall with burial in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery, Redwood Falls.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and continues at the church on Wednesday, 9:30 am until time of service.
He is survived by wife: Charlotte Burgemeister of Redwood Falls; son, Eric Pettis-Burgemeister and wife Lynn of Belle Plaine, Brian Burgemeister of Redwood Falls, and Dustin Burgemeister of Redwood Falls; one grandson; sisters; Linda Landsberger of St. Cloud, Cleo Burgemeister of Redwood Falls, Patricia Vollmer of Redwood Falls.
He was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Minneapolis, to Harold and Pearl (Reek) Burgemeister.

Hilda Bussler, 88, of Gaylord, died Nov. 11, 2002, at St. Peter Health Care Center.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 15, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Penn Township, Brownton, rural McLeod County, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday, and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Friday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord; and continues one hour before services at the church.
She is survived by son, Delfert Bussler of Winthrop; daughters, Bernadine Miller of Lakeville, Judy Hahn of Cleveland; sister, Janice Jensen of Franklin; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren;
She was born Sept. 13, 1914, in Bismarck Township, rural Winthrop, to Otto and Sadie (Brede) Bartz.

Bill Clarken, 80, of Redwood Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at his home.
Services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and continues one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice; daughters, Judy Crannes of Belview, Bonnie Tipcke of Morris, and Lori Ryer of Belview; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Warren of Annapolis, Md.
He was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Sheridan Township, Redwood County to William and Bertha (Tonak)Clarken.

Marsha Jorgensen, 63, of Fletcher, N.C., formerly of Hanska and New Ulm, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002 at her home in North Carolina.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, rural Hanska. Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday at the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Marsha Yvonne Vogelpohl, the daughter of Victor and Florence (Johnson) Vogelpohl, was born November 22, 1938, in New Ulm, where she spent her youth and attended public schools, graduating from New Ulm High School in 1956. She worked for Supersweet Feeds in New Ulm. She moved to Rochester where she worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for Mayo Clinic for several years. She married Orville Paulson in December 1957.
Together they farmed in Lake Hanska Township. Marsha worked for the Hanska Elementary School and later the Blue Earth County Courthouse. Her secretarial skills enabled her to work at many temporary positions over the years. She was also assistant manager of an apartment complex in Minneapolis for several years. She married Lauritz (Larry) Jorgensen in April 2000. They lived in Lakeville before moving to Fletcher, N.C., in August of this year. She was a member of the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, ELCW, and the church choir. She was also a member of Christian Women's Club, Brown County Extension Club, Quilting Cousins, and enjoyed singing and playing the piano.
Survivors include her husband, Larry of Fletcher, N.C.; son, Jeff Paulson and his wife Gina; daughter, Jennifer Brand; four grandchildren, Ryan, Cullen, and Vanessa Paulson, and Mason Brand, all of Hanska. Also surviving are her father, Victor Vogelpohl of New Ulm; sister, Kay Barber of St. Paul; brother, Dr. Thomas Vogelpohl and his wife Alison of St. Paul; half-sister, Vicki Warner of Woodbury; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Florence Vogelpohl in September 2000.

Arnold Polesky, 84, of rural Rochester, and formerly of rural Hector, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at Faith United Church of Christ in Winthrop, with burial at Winthrop Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Winthrop American Legion and VFW.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church on Monday. Arrangements are with the Ranfranz Funeral Home in Rochester.
He is survived by his wife Genevieve Polesky of Rochester; son Charles Polesky of Port Washington, Wis.; two grandchildren; brothers, Edwin Polesky of Sleepy Eye, and Emmanuel Polesky of Hector; and sisters, Evangeline Madsen of Morgan, and Evie Drill of Courtland.
Arnold Richard Polesky was born March 12, 1918, near Hector, to Hugo and Hildegarde (Buboltz) Polesky. He was drafted into the military during World War II and served in the U.S. Navy.

Bruce Leopold, 74, of Morgan, and formerly of Sanborn, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2002, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Zion Lutheran Church in Morgan, with burial in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Sanborn.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Thursday.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Leopold of Morgan; daughters, Barbara Leopold of New Ulm, and Patricia Trebesch of Morgan; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Bruce Willis Leopold was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Sanborn, to John G. and Hulda (Ringle) Leopold.

Mable D. Stark, 99, of Mankato and formerly of the Comfrey and Darfur area, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at Mankato Lutheran Home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at New Hope Lutheran Church in Comfrey, with burial in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Darfur. There will also be a memorial service at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, at Mankato Lutheran Home Chapel.
Visitation is 8:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Sturm Funeral Home in Comfrey is in charged of arrangements.
She is survived by daughters, Doris Wobbrock of Mankato, Jean Anderson of Mankato; three grandchildren; and sister Minnie Hyde of Mountain Lake.
She was born Dec. 12, 1902, in Clay Township, Iowa, to Andrew J. and Hilda (Nelson) Johnson.

Emil D. Lindstrand, 90, of Winthrop, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop, with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Friday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Friday.
He is survived by his daughters, Marjorie Duenow of Glencoe, and Darla Peterson of Litchfield; sons, Lloyd Lindstrand of Winthrop, and Harold Lindstrand of Chaska; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Emil Daniel Lindstrand was born Sept. 2, 1912, in Alfsborg Township, Sibley County, to Carl and Johanna (Youngren) Lindstrand.

DeForest Hartfiel, 84, of 1021 N. Garden St., New Ulm, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at his home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Burial with full military honors conducted by the New Ulm Veteran's Organization will follow in the soldier's rest section of the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm and one hour prior to service at the church.
DeForest Willis Hartfiel, the son of Wilhelm and Lydia (Roeske) Hartfiel, was born Nov. 2, 1918, in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He spent his childhood on the family farm and attended country School and Boyd High School.
He was united in marriage to Norma Rosin on Feb. 2, 1942, at Zion Lutheran Church in Tyro Township by her father, Rev. Louis Rosin. In August 1942, he entered the United States Army, serving in the European Theatre during World War II. Following his honorable discharge in January 1946, the couple moved to Clarkfield where he worked in trucking and farming for many years. He worked for AMPI in Clarkfield, transferring to New Ulm in 1970, where he worked as a field supervisor until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm, and American Legion Post No. 132.
Survivors include his wife Norma of New Ulm; daughters, Priscilla Field and her husband Mike of Brooten, Naomi Hamann and her husband Ken of Pine City; sons, Ronald Hartfiel and his wife Laurel of Redwood Falls, Richard Hartfiel and his wife Quita of Dickinson, N.D., Timothy Hartfiel and his wife Pamela of Paynesville, Joel Hartfiel and his wife Nancy of Glenwood, Iowa; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Haaland and her husband Erling of Starbuck; sister-in-law Irene Hartfiel of Hutchinson; and other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a bother, Milroy Hartfiel.
