Beatrice "Bea" Reding, 93, of Morgan, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at GiI-Mor Manor in Morgan.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan, with burial in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Morgan. Arrangements by Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Morgan.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and one hour prior to services Monday, at the church.
She is survived by daughters, Alice Otto of Morgan and Joan Roemer of New Brighton; sons, James Reding of Elk River, Don Reding of Morgan and Larry Reding of Prior Lake; 30 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was born May 20, 1910 in Vesta, to Charles & Katrina (Kotval) Boushek.

Helen Irene Nigg, 84, of Lamberton, died on Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, with Pastor Lee Harder officiating. Interment will be at the Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 - 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton.
Helen I. Nigg, known to many as "Aunt Helen, " was born on Dec. 26, l918, in Windom, the daughter of Thomas and Bessie (Hilleson) Warenas. She grew up in Storden and graduated from Storden High School. After working briefly in California, she returned to Minnesota and married George V. Nigg on July 25, l943. They lived in Lamberton, where Helen worked as a Post Office Clerk for 30 years.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton and President of the Ladies Aid. Helen was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as President and Second District First Vice President. She was also President of the Valley View Manor Auxiliary. She enjoyed her various bridge clubs, birthday club, and was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins. She enjoyed her many visits to Scottsdale, Ariz., to visit her grand-niece Angie Young. Helen was a loving and generous aunt and friend who loved to have fun and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Helen is survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, caring neighbors and many friends. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Iris Nigg Lundin. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 1985; her parents; sisters, Esther Hanson, Della Olson, Hattie Kaushagen and Mayme Valen; and brothers Thomas and Darwin Warenas.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.

William J. Schulze, 98, of Stewart, died Friday, August 22, 2003, at the Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements are with Hughes Funeral Home.
William is survived by his daughters, Gladys Hedtke of New Germany, VirJean Hedtke of Hillsdale, Wis. and Rosalee Just of Shoreview; his son, James Schulze of Stewart; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
William John Schulze was born June 20, 1905 on the home place in Grafton Township, Sibley County, Minn., the son of Otto and Emma (Berndt) Schulze.

Roderick L. Thordson, 60, of Minneapolis, formerly of Springfield, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at his home in Minneapolis.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial at the Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 pm. Sunday and 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Monday.
Roderick is survived by his wife Janice of Minneapolis; sons, Steven Thordson of Sleepy Eye, David Thordson of Lamberton, and Michael Thordson of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Rachel Grewe of Raymond, and Danielle Norrid of Crystal; six grandchildren; mother Alpha Thordson of Springfield; and brother Randal Thordson of Marshall.
Roderick L. Thordson was born Jan. 22, 1943, to Raymond and Alpha (Ahlness) Thordson in Madelia.

Angeline V. (Schultz) Toomey, 80, of Mesa, Ariz., and formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at her home.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 27, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and continues one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by her husband, John Toomey of Mesa, Ariz., children, Roger Toomey of Atlanta, Ga, John, Jr. Toomey of Inver Grove Heights, Jeffrey Toomey of Apple Valley, Jennifer Sellner of Farmington, foster daughters, Julie Chute and Brenda Schultz, both of New Ulm;11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Wilhelmi of Sleepy Eye and Elsie Thiel of St. James and brothers, Ray Schultz of Belview, Leon "Blackie" Schultz of New Ulm and Alfred Schultz, Jr. of Elmwood, Tenn.
Angeline Virginia Schultz was born on July 23, 1923, in Sherman Township, Redwood County, to Alfred T. and Emma (Kropp) Schultz.

Gertrude Barrie, 88, of Franklin and formerly of Morgan and New Ulm, died March 20, 2003, at Franklin Health Care Center.
Graveside service was held in March at Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Arrangements were handled by Schmucker Funeral Service of New Ulm.
She is survived by sister, Angela Helget of Minneapolis.
She was born April 4, 1914, in Morgan, to Vincent and Gertrude (Von Fiegen) Kronfuss.

Anna (Markeson) Kelley, 96, of Lake Crystal, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Funeral service is 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, at the First Baptist Church in Lake Crystal with burial in the Minneopa Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Crystal Funeral Home and continues one hour prior to the service, Thursday at the church.
She is survived by her son, Darwin Kelley of Sartell, and daughters, Norma Teigum of New Ulm and Betty Davis of Lake Crystal; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
She was born on May 6, 1907, in Hibbing to Mark and Clara Markeson.

Amy and Todd Rogers
ROGERS, TODD, 39, and his wife AMY (nee Currier), 37, of St Paul, left us too soon on August 22, 2003.
Todd is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria. He is survived by his father, Wilbur; sister Liss (Dennis) Otten; brother Greg (Leanne);
Amy is survived by her parents, Roger and Lois Currier; sisters, Kim (Richard) Dunn, Karen (Matthew) Drummer; brothers, Ralph (Elizabeth) Currier and Eric Currier; grandmother Anna Trautmiller; Todd and Amy are also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorial service 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, at CENTENNIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1524 W. Co. Rd. C2 at Snelling Ave, Roseville.
Visitation is Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., at THE O'HALLORAN & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 575 S. Snelling Ave. St. Paul (651)-698-0796, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church, Interment Roselawn Cemetery. Memorials preferred.

Anita H. Dorow, 82, of Springfield, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Service is 10:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 29, at Zion Lutheran Church in Springfield with burial in the church Cemetery.
Visitation is 8:30-10: 30 a.m., Friday, at Zion Lutheran Church. Sturm
Funeral Home of Springfield is handling arrangements.
She is survived by daughter, Darlene Belden of St. James; son, David Dorow of Cobden, and two granddaughters.
Anita Hattie Dorow was born August 25, 1921, to Ferdinand and Hattie (Rositzke) Schwarzrock, in Burnstown Township, Brown County.

Kenneth L. Harvey, 77, of Springfield, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at the Springfield Medical Center Hospital.
Service is 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 1, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton with burial at Walnut Grove City Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
Sturm Funeral Home of Lamberton handled arrangements.
He is survived by wife Arlene Harvey of Lamberton; stepchildren, Brian Meling of Lake Wilson, Ron Kolar of Sioux Falls, S.D., John Rykhus of Cedar, Allen Filmore of Bakersfield, Calif., Benny Bliss of Albany, Ore., seven stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreatgrandchildren.
Kenneth Levern Harvey was born July 19, 1926, the son of Albert and Sylvia (Hoke) Harvey in Laurel, NE.

Aaron Jae Mangen, 5-1/2-month-old son of Jason and Heather Mangen of New Ulm, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye on Wednesday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his parents, Jason and Heather (Carlson) Mangen of New Ulm; grandparents, Harold and Beverly Grabowski of Winnebago and Joseph and Mary Mangen of Sleepy Eye; great-grandmothers, Sylvia Mangen of Sleepy Eye, Ethel Hettwer of East Grand Forks, and Irena Carlson of Eau Claire, Wis., formerly of Truman.

Albert 'Ted' Soldahl Albert "Ted" Soldahl, 92, of Redwood Falls and formerly of West St. Paul, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood falls.
Service is 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, at Acacia Park Chapel in Mendota Heights, with burial in Acacia Park Cemetery.
Visitation is 11-11:30 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral chapel.
Arrangements are handled by Nelson-Martin Funeral Service, Redwood falls.
He is survived by stepsons, Jon Thoreson of Redwood Falls, James Thoreson of Inver Grove Heights; and six stepgrandchildren.
He was born June 23, 1911, in Menahga, Minn.

Francis Joseph Burtzel, 70, of Redwood Falls and formerly of Seaforth, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Services are 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 1, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Seaforth.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Sunday, at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls, followed by a parish prayer service at 7 p.m.; and continues one hour before the service Monday at the church.
He is survived by brother Gerald of Kasota.
He was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Sheridan Township, Redwood county, Minn., to Joseph and Marie (Bernardy) Burtzel.

Daniel David Lamfers
COMFREY -- Daniel David Lamfers, 78 of Comfrey died Aug. 27, 2003, at the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Friday, and 7:30-10 a.m., Saturday, at the Sturm Funeral Home in Comfrey. A parish prayer service is 6 p.m., Friday, at the Sturm Funeral Home in Comfrey.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Comfrey with burial in the church cemetery.,
He is survived by wife Alyce of Comfrey; daughter Deanna Zea of Hanska; three grandchildren; brothers, Paul Lamfers of Amiret, Heyeand Lamfers of Tracy; sister Martha Lindquist of St. James.
Daniel David Lamfers was born July 7, 1925, in Mountain Lake, Minn., to Ben J. and Gazena (Schmidt)

Doris Nicklasson, 81, of 715 S. German St. in New Ulm, formerly of Minneapolis/Eagan and Westbrook, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook, with burial to follow in the Westbrook City Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
Arrangements are with the Schmucker Funeral Service of New Ulm.
Doris Kristina Nicklasson, the daughter of Ernst and Henny (Nilsson) Nicklasson, was born May 24, 1922, at Westbrook, where she spent her youth and attended school. After graduating from Westbrook High School in 1940, Doris attended Macalester College. She worked in Redwood Falls and Sleepy Eye, before moving to the west coast where she worked in support of the war effort during World War II. Doris worked nearly 35 for the Department of Agriculture in Minneapolis and Cincinnati, Ohio. Following her retirement in 1975, Doris continued to enjoy travel. She moved to New Ulm in September 2002. She was a member of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.
Survivors include her brothers, Henry Nicklasson and his wife Jean of Montevideo, Fred Nicklasson of Litchfield, and Clarence "Wheezer" Nicklasson and his wife Vi of Lake Allie at Buffalo Lake; sister-in-law, Avis Nicklasson of New Ulm; five nieces, Bettianne Wirtz and her husband Bob of New Ulm, Barbara Nicklasson of Eagan, Jodi Noding and her husband Brian of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Pam Nicklasson of Dallas, Texas, and Lisa Schefers and her husband Dan of Waite Park; two nephews, Bob Nicklasson of North Pole, Ark., and John Nicklasson and his wife Nancy of Litchfield; great-nieces and greatnephews.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by brothers, Gordon, Harry and Robert Nicklasson; and sister Joyce Noding.
