Allan "Rube" Rubendall, 46, of rural Winthrop died Friday, January 16, 2004 at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
Allan is survived by his wife, Cindy Rubendall of rural Winthrop; daughter, Elizabeth Rubendall of Gibbon; sons, Kent Rubendall and his special friend, Vanesa Isaacson both of Winthrop, Jon Rubendall and his special friend, Wendy Wing both of Vesta; a granddaughter, Brenna Rubendall; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Steve Martin of Gibbon, Debra and Mike Briese of Jordan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Mike Berger of Kettle Falls, Washington, Barb and Pat Covell of Gibbon, Butch and Lauri Stark of New Ulm, Albert Fenzloff of Charles City, Iowa; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dayle and Shirley Stark of Gibbon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Fenzloff.
Allan Dale Rubendall was born on March 8, 1957 in Sioux City, Iowa to Forrest and Elvira (Grenke) Rubendall. He married Cindy Stark on June 11, 1994 at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon. He worked as an automobile technician at Lance's Tire and Repair in Winthrop. He enjoyed riding his "Harley," hunting, fishing and league bowling. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon.

Alpha (Rongstad) Runck, 90 of Springfield, died on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Minn.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday Jan. 21, at United Methodist Church in Springfield with burial in the Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, and 7:30-8:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield; and continues one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by her children, Joan Schultz of Spicer, Bob Runck of Springfield, and Mary Jansky of Clear Lake; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alver Rongstad of Bellevue, Wash., Stan Rongstad of Fergus Falls, Chad Rongstad of Mesa, Ariz., and Vi Johnson of Lamberton.
She was born March 18, 1913, in Highwater Township to Chris and Ida (Aune) Rongstad.

Conrad Luebke, 73, formerly of Redwood Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004.
Services are 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in El Paso. Burial with full military honors was in Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Funeral Home, El Paso.
He is survived by his wife Maria Luisa Ybanez Luebke; sons Tom of Littleton, Colo., Jerry of El Paso; one stepdaughter; one stepson; 10 grandchildren; a brother Bob of Riverside, Calif.
He was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Redwood Falls to Conrad F. and Anita Wessel Luebke Danielson.
He served with the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1973, including a tour of duty during the Vietnam War.

Dr. Myron Malecha, 57, of Isanti passed away peacefully on January 19, 2004, at his home after a courageous six-month battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Myron Joseph Malecha was born October 26, 1946 to Joseph and Rose Malecha. He attended the University Of Minnesota Medical School, including the Psychiatric Residency Program. He graduated in 1984. He practiced Psychiatry in the northern suburbs, including Anoka, Coon Rapids and Cambridge. He was a dedicated, caring and compassionate doctor.
Myron was the organist for many years at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti. He loved playing his accordion, driving his tractors, gardening and his work, but most of all his family.
He is survived by beloved wife, Cathy (Hillesheim) Malecha; son, Steve (Amy) Chesney; daughter, Lisa Machuka; sons, Joseph and Matthew; stepson, Eric Odegaard; daughter, Katchen; brother, Dr. Gary (Linda) Malecha; sister, Jeannie (Melvin) Malecha; granddaughter, Erinne; parents, Joseph and Rose Malecha; and many other loving relatives and friends.
He was admired by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 23, 2004 from 4 - 8 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti. Mass Of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the church with Fr. Jose Edayadiyil, Fr. Richard McGuire and Fr. Frank Tomasiewicz as celebrants. The musicians are Gail Genin, Jeannie Malecha, Ken Mouhler and Dorine Schommer. The pallbearers are Matthew Dempsey, Nicholas Fuhol, Ronald Hanson, Fred Hertwig, Jerroll Hillesheim, Jeffery Price, Mark Pochernic and Gregory Sitka. Interment will be in East Bradford Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.

Irene Prokosch, 87, of Morgan, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Redwood Falls Area Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Wednesday with a combined CCW and Catholic Aid Association rosary at 5 p.m. and parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Morgan. Visitation continues Thursday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband Norbert of Morgan; sons, Thomas of Little Canada and Roger of Morgan; daughters, Katherine of Morgan and Maureen of Franklin; sisters, Margaret Uhlenkamp of Eden Prairie, Anne Hughes of Burnsville; brother Fran Uhlenkamp of Redwood Falls; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was born April 7, 1915, in Milford, Iowa to Frank and Catherine (Reiman) Uhlenkamp.

Herb Scholla, 71, of Glencoe, formerly of Stewart, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Mass of Christian burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart, with burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Hector.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and will continue at the church Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife Marge Scholla of Glencoe; children, Jim Scholla of Paynesville, Robin Haas of Hector, Steve Scholla of Hector and Becky Krulikosky of Stewart; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was born Feb. 21, 1932, in rural Buffalo Lake to Frank and Veronica (Bonine) Scholla.

Rose A. Domeier, 48, of Sleepy Eye, died on Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
A time of celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye with Pastor Phil Siefkes of Calvary Baptist Church in Sleepy Eye officiating. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and from 10-11a.m., Friday, at the church prior to the service. Sturm Funeral Home and Pence-Reese Funeral Home of Newton, Iowa, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
Rose, the daughter of Russell James and Mary Ann (Heidecker) Prins, was born May 23, 1955,in Pipestone, Minn. She was a longtime resident of the Amboy area, graduating from the Amboy-Good Thunder Senior High School, Class of 1973. She attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, and graduated in 1979, from Yankton College in Yankton, S.D. as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She moved to Sleepy Eye, in 1980, and was employed as a nurse at the Sleepy Eye Hospital.
On Oct. 9, 1982, Rose was united in marriage with Donald M. Domeier in New Ulm. She had devoted her life to her family, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Sleepy Eye.
Rose is survived by her husband, Donald M. Domeier of Sleepy Eye; two daughters: MaLinda Domeier of Hutchinson, MN and Nicole L. Domeier of Sleepy Eye; son Timothy M. Domeier of Sleepy Eye; her parents, Russell and Mary Prins of Hinckley; four sisters and a brother: Marilyn and Gene Groeneveld of Newton, Iowa, Carolyn and Marvin Nelson of Truman, David and Belva Prins of Waseca, Cindy and Darrell Friar of Winnebago, Julie and Steve Nelson of Hinckley; Don's parents: Vernard and LaDonna Domeier of Sleepy Eye; Don's brothers and sisters: Dale and Jean Domeier, Vernard Jr. and Kay Domeier, Dean Domeier, all of Sleepy Eye; Donna and Joe Guttum of Springfield; Doug and Jane Domeier, Delwin "Sam" and Beth Domeier, Dawn & Mark Sabatino, Darla and Tom Roiger, all of Sleepy Eye; Dan "Cheeta" and Lana Domeier of Springfield; Deanne and Dan Lendt of Sleepy Eye; many nieces and nephews; and her many good neighbors and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her grandparents and a nephew, Leland Nelson.

Wilbert E. Haala, Jr., 58, of Coon Rapids and formerly of the New Ulm area, died Saturday, January 17, 2004, at his home in Coon Rapids.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles with Father John A. Richter celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Full military honors will be conducted by the New Ulm veterans organizations at the cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 7:30 until 9 a.m. on Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Wilbert is survived by his wife, Lisa, of Coon Rapids; daughters and sons-in-law, Jody and Rick Mortensen of Coon Rapids, Laura and Mark Hochhalter of Stacy; a son Wilbert "Bill" Haala III of Dayton; stepdaughters, Tina Zachmann of Savage, Katy Zachmann and Sara Zachmann both of Coon Rapids; his parents, Wilbert Sr. and Angeline Haala of Hanska; grandchildren, Anthony, Colleen, Cody, Julie, and Jordan; step grandchildren, Justin, Derek, and Ashley; his Godfather, Elmer Haala and his wife, Mabel of Sleepy Eye; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynette Huiras and Joyce and Robert Mickelson all of Sleepy Eye, Marlys and Jim Dyvig of St. Louis Park, Carol and Pat Haubrich of New Ulm; brothers, Tom and Donna Haala of Madison Lake, Mike and Shirley Haala and Paul and Cheryl Haala, all of Hanska, and Robert Haala and Amy Steinhaus both of Hanska, and by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Wilbert was born on June 8, 1945, in Springfield to Wilbert Sr. and Angeline (Roiger) Haala. He was a 1963 graduate of the New Ulm Public High School. On October 16, 1999, he was united in marriage to Lisa Wellf. Wilbert had worked for Unisys Corporation out of Minneapolis. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.

Marlee Hillesheim, 70, of 821 1st Avenue South in Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery, Soldiers Rest Section.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-10 a.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral. The St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society will pray the rosary at 6:30 p.m., and there will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. both Wednesday at the funeral home.
Marlee is survived by her husband Roman Hillesheim of Sleepy Eye; daughter Mitzie Huiras of New Ulm; a son Mike (Hershey) Huiras of Euless, Texas; sister, Charlotte Mulvaney of Crystal; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Phyllis Gulden of St. George, Pat and Mary Lou Gulden of Olympia, Washington, Gery and Sally Gulden of Hanska, and Fred and Joyce Gulden of Stanchfield; and by many nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Victor Huiras in 1972; her second husband, Clarence Deopere in 1992; a daughter, Donna Huiras in 2000; brothers, James and Tom Gulden; and sisters, Bernice Karpen, Thelma Hillesheim, and Sister Ruth Gulden.
Marlee was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Cottonwood Township, Brown County, to Ben and Agatha (Sprenger) Gulden. She attended school in Searles. On April 26, 1955, she married Victor E. Huiras in Searles. On December 28, 1973, she married Clarence Deopere at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Catholic Church in New Ulm. She then married Roman Hillesheim on Oct. 6, 1995 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. She was employed over the course of the years at the Sportsman Grill, Randalls, and the Lamplighter all in New Ulm. She also helped with the upkeep of the Iberia cemetery in the last years with Roman. She enjoyed waitress work, baking, and taking walks. Marlee was a member of the Christian Mothers Society, St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society, and St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Wendy Jo Lund, 43, of Hutchinson, Minn., passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at the Hutchinson Community Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. (prayer service at 7 p.m.), Wednesday, Jan. 21, and from 8-9 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Dobratz­Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson, Minn., and one hour prior at the church.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Wendy Jo Lund was born on September 21, 1960, in Marshall, Minn. She was the daughter of Dick and Janice (Raveling) Peters. Wendy was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Milroy, Minn. She received her education and graduated from the Milroy Public High School in 1979. She then attended Brainerd Area Technical College for two years and received a degree in Banking and Finance. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the Marquette Bank, formerly the First National Bank, of Hutchinson.
Wendy was united in marriage to William Lund on Nov. 2, 1990, in Nassau, The Bahamas. Wendy and Bill continued to reside in Hutchinson, Minnesota for a few months before moving to Owatonna, Minn. After moving to Owatonna, Wendy worked at Norwest Bank in Faribault, Minn. Wendy and Bill lived in Owatonna for ten years, and moved back to Hutchinson, where they have been living for the past three and a half years. After moving back to Hutchinson, Wendy worked at Wells Fargo Bank in Hutchinson. Wendy and Bill shared thirteen years of marriage. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Kelly Jo.
Wendy was an active member of Christ The King Church in Hutchinson. She enjoyed working on her home and decorating. She was a sales consultant for Longaberger Basket Company in her spare time, and was also an avid collector of Longaberger Baskets. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband and daughter.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Bill Lund of Hutchinson; daughter, Kelly Jo Lund of Hutchinson; parents, Dick and Janice Peters of Nevis, (formerly of Milroy); sisters, Shelly Peters of Brainerd, Brenda Wurst of Waconia, Sue Peters of Marshall; grandparents, Ralph and Lucille Raveling of Marshall, (formerly of Lucan); mother and father-in-law, Ardie and Shorty Lund of Lafayette; sister-in-law, Becky Briggs and her husband, Steve of Eagan; nieces, Shantel Peters, Kayla Wurst, Amanda Wurst, and Krista Briggs; and many other relatives and friends.
Wendy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to The Birchwood Hospice House in Hutchinson, Minn.
The family invites everyone to the luncheon that will be held at the church following the committal service.

Joanne R. Yost (HANSON), born March 14, 1933, died November 30, 2003, in McKinleyville California.
With a rich life spent in Minnesota, Massachusetts, Oregon and California, Joey was an artistic, free spirit who brought joy to friends and family. Whether she was modeling, painting, singing, gardening, cooking or volunteering, there was always something coming from her hands and heart that she readily shared with others.
She is survived by her husband, Charles in McKinleyville and daughter, Amy in Seattle.

Lola Chambard passed away in Everett, Wash. on January 2, 2004.
Lola was born in Hanska, MN on July 11, 1904 and would have been 100 years old this July. She received her education in Minnesota and taught four years in a rural school and then in the Nicollet, MN schools for over 11 years before coming to Everett in 1942. She taught 7th and 8th grades at South Junior and continued to educate the youth at South Junior until her retirement in 1969. For many years she attended the First Presbyterian Church in Everett and assisted the Christian Education Director in preparing creative handwork for the education of the children of the church.
Lola was a great traveler during the summer months and would take interesting trips connected with a learning experience. Her traveling took her to much of Europe, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and all but a couple of the States.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in the Washington area as well as California, Texas and Minnesota.
Her sister Vivian, and brothers Crosby, Vance and Milton preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at the Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Ave, Everett, WA on Saturday, January 17th at 3:30 PM with a reception to follow in the Fireside Room. Pastor Karen A. Summers from the First Presbyterian Church will conduct the service. Burial services will be held later in the spring at the Fort Ridgely Cemetery near Fairfax, MN in the same area with her parents and other relatives
Memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice.

Lillian Juenemann, 92, formerly of New Ulm died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
Services are 1 p.m., Friday, January 23, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with Monsignor Richard Schuler officiating. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday and from 7:30 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home on Friday. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Cathedral. The St. Anne's Court will pray the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Lillian is survived by her brother, James Huelskamp of New Ulm; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Elmer Juenemann on November 3, 1971.
Lillian Huelskamp was born on July 14, 1911 in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County to John and Mary (Bushard) Huelskamp. She graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1929 and attended nurses training at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester in 1932. On August 6, 1935 she married Elmer Juenemann at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. She worked as an RN at the Union Hospital and the Loretto Hospital in New Ulm. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, the Christian Mothers Society and the St. Anne's Court #389 N.C.S.F.
