Diane L. Ehret, 54, of 103 Lafayette Avenue in Lafayette died Saturday, February 14, 2004 at her home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
Diane is survived by her husband, Harold Ehret of Lafayette; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jose Remirez of Downey, California; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Ann and Frank Thompson of French Settlement, Louisiana; step-daughters, Cheri Ehret of New Ulm, Teresa Gnekow and her husband, Bob of Lafayette; a step-son, Scott Ehret and his wife Sheryl of St. James; step-grandchildren, Jacob Ehret and Eric Ehret, both of New Ulm, and Misty Cogdil of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; and a brother, Lee Wayne Zuver.
Diane was born July 6, 1949 in Torrance, California to Walter and Rita (Lister) Zuver. She attended school in San Diego, California and was a graduate of Mission Bay High School. She worked for 30 years for Pacific Bell until retiring in 1999. She married Harold J. Ehret on August 31, 1996 in San Diego, California. They moved to Lafayette in 2000. She was an active church member and was also active in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

Marion Rohde, 83 of Fairfax, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at the Springfield Medical Center in Springfield.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at the United Methodist Church in Fairfax. Interment will be in the Fort Ridgely Cemetery in Ridgley Township.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax, and continue one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Rohde of Maryfield, and Dick Rohde of New Ulm; daughters, Patricia Kranz of Morgan and Sandy Schwerin of Redwood Falls; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Sharon K. Smith, age 54, of Mankato, formerly of New Ulm, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church.
Visitation is Tuesday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Woodland Hills Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Sharon was born April 5, 1949, in New Ulm to Clarence S. and Rose M. (Stuber) Gleisner and graduated from New Ulm High School. Sharon worked several years at Windings, moving to Mankato in 1988 where she worked as a secretary at Associated Finishing. She married Gene Boelter; they divorced and she later married Richard Smith on May 27, 1988.
Sharon had many joys, gardening, motorcycling, shopping, sewing, and she loved to laugh. She especially loved her dog.
She was past President and Secretary of Riverbend Chapter Automobile Club.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Richard J. of Mankato; two sons, Troy Boelter of San Antonio, TX, and Travis Boelter (Brenda) of Colorado Springs, CO; three stepchildren, Richard Smith and fiancé, Karen of Mankato, Ronald Smith of Sheridan, WY, and Jesse Smith of Mankato; five grandchildren, Adam Ulma, Austin Boelter, Ricky, Blaze and Steven Smith; a brother, Jerry Gleisner (Tony) of Danville, IL; her parents, Clarence and Rose Gleisner of New Ulm; and several nieces and nephews.

Martha Kamies, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at the Olivia Healthcare Center.
Services are 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Nelson- Martin Funeral Service In Redwood Falls with burial in Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation is 1-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
She is survived by children Garold Kamies of Leopold, Ind.; Henry Kamies of Redwood Falls; Beverly Kremln of Vesta, Kathy Schuler of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and sister: Ruth Zevenberger of Eagan.
She was born June 5, 1919, in Sanborn, Iowa, to Gerrit P. and Barbara M. (Mulder) Dorsman.

Tarah Lynn Irlbeck, 21, passed away Friday, February 6, 2004, as a result of a moving vehicle accident in San Antonio, TX.
Tarah resided in San Antonio, TX, with her mother, brother and sister.
She was very proud of having completed her career as a paralegal. She was a free-spirited young lady and a ray of sunshine that will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Tarah is survived by her loving mother, Sharmain Yaritz; father Daniel Irlbeck and wife Roxy; brothers and sisters, Keith Yaritz, Meghan Irlbeck, both of San Antonio, TX, Andrew and Jillian Irlbeck; grandparents Russell and LaVaughn Ohm, LeRoy and Jane Irlbeck; aunts and uncles Carl and Kari Haarstad, Kenneth and Tess Haarstad, Joe and Tracy Howe, Dominic and Tina Casey, Tanya Mitchell, Harley and Tammy Duscher, Amy Skalbeck, David and Jill Irlbeck; numerous cousin and friends; and a special teacher and mentor Leigh Mammarella.
Visitation was held 5-9 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9, with a 7 p.m. Vigil Service at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home Chapel in San Antonio, Tx.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated 10:30 a.m.., Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at the Basilica of the Little Flower Catholic Church.

Frances Scharf, 88, of 1314 8th North Street, New Ulm, died Sunday, February 15, 2004, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Rev. Timothy Smith officiating.Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Frances Elizabeth Aschenbrenner, the daughter of George and Mary (Breu) Aschenbrenner, was born May 30, 1915 in New Ulm. After attending public school, she worked for Loretto Hospital for several years. Fran was united in marriage to Charles Scharf on April 20, 1934, in Milbank, South Dakota. Following their marriage, she worked at the Ulm Drive Inn and at Wilfahrt Brothers Hardware in New Ulm for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. Paul's Ladies Aid. She will be greatly missed by her many dear friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Charles of New Ulm; sons, David Scharf of Milpitas, CA, Robert Scharf of New Ulm, Ronald Scharf and his wife Sharon of Bloomington, MN; daughter, Marion Scharf of New Ulm; three grandchildren, Charles Scharf of New Ulm, Andrea and Angela Scharf of Bloomington; and nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her son Charles, Jr., four brothers and three sisters.

Elviera E. Becker,87, formerly of 1301 North Franklin in New Ulm, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Feb, 20, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Donald Sutton officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Friday.
Elviera is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, LaVonne and Jerome Bentz of New Ulm, Sharon and Mervin Baumann of Omaha, Nebraska, Geraldine and Donald Diersen of Appleton, Wisconsin, 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Elton Stolt of New Ulm; sisters-in-law, Marcella Becker of Oelwein, Iowa, Sylvia Becker of New Ulm; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Dorothy Hamann of Mesa, Arizona; nieces; nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter T. Becker on August 20, 2002; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Viola Enter and Lester and Ardella Enter.
Elviera E. Enter was born on Feb. 27, 1916, in Granby Township, Nicollet County, to Robert and Bertha (Thielke) Enter. On May 20, 1937, she married Walter T. Becker in Nicollet. After marriage they lived in Maple Lake and then farmed in rural Stewart until 1971 when they retired and moved to Hector. In 1986 they moved to New Ulm. They enjoyed 20 years of wintering in Mesa, Arizona and travelling abroad. In January of 2003 while visiting her daughter and son-in-law in Omaha, Nebraska, she suffered a stroke and entered the Brookestone Nursing Home in Omaha, Nebraska. Elviera had a very kind and loving heart and she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren so much. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be given to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. Paul's School, or Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School.

Margaret C. Carlson, 90, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Walnut Grove, MN passed away February 11, 2004, at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Services were held Monday, February 16, 2004, in Walnut Grove with interment in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Margaret was born in Garden City, MN on October 28, 1913, to Nels and Mary Peterson. In 1934 she married Fred Carlson of Walnut Grove. They farmed north of Walnut Grove most of their lives. In 2000 she moved to Sioux Falls for health reasons.
Margaret is survived by son Roger (Ellen) Carlson of Sioux Falls. Daughter-in-law Barbara P. Carlson of New Ulm. Grandchildren Deb (Roger) Fortwengler, Richard Carlson Jr., Tricia (Jeff) Rickman, Roger (Lisa) Carlson Jr, Carrie Carlson, and John (Sue) Carlson. Eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Fred, son Richard, granddaughter Kathy Jones, great-granddaughter Brandy Jones, her parents, two brothers, and five sisters.

Arline P. (Speckman) Harder, 86, of Sleepy Eye, died on Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 1:30 p.m., with burial in Home Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is one hour before the services at the church.
She is survived by her children, Marvel of Sleepy Eye and Shirley Wendinger of New Ulm; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren;
She was born Dec. 26, 1917, to Herman and Erma (Gieseke) Speckman.

Adeline Hemmingsen, 87, formerly of Sanborn, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 20, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn with burial in the Sanborn City Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Friday.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is handling the arrangements.
Adeline is survived by her sister, Germaine Hahn a resident of the Arlington Good Samaritan Center; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Hemmingsen on Nov. 1, 1994; a son, Glenn Hemmingsen on Oct. 5, 1956; a sister, Gen Hemmingsen; and brothers, Ambrose Ramsbacher and Lynford Ramsbacher.
Adeline was born on Aug. 29, 1916, in Springfield to Leo and Elizabeth (Baldus) Ramsbacher. She attended country school in the Wanda area. On Dec. 13, 1934, she married Harlan Hemmingsen at St. Mathias Church in Wanda. She spent her life cleaning many homes and businesses including the St. Thomas Catholic Church for forty-five years. She enjoyed flower gardening, cards, camping, fishing, traveling, and dancing.
She was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn.

Gerald Milbrandt, 68, of Arlington, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 20, at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington, with burial in the Arlington Public Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday, at Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington; and continues one hour before the service at the church.
He is survived by son Allan Milbrandt of Gaylord; daughters, Lori Meuleners of Cologne, Linda Milbrandt of Cologne; and six grandchildren.
He was born July 20, 1935, in Sibley Township, Sibley County, Minn., to Albert and Mabel (Ortloff) Milbrandt.

Donald Schwaegerl, 64, of Spicer, died on Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at the Paynesville Area Hospital after a courageous but short battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m., Saturday, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Friday, at Johnson Funeral Home in New London with a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Visitation will also be held for two hours before the service Saturday at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey.
He is survived by his wife Berni; daughter Pamela Aase of Chaska; son Craig Schwaegerl of Commerce Twp., Mich.; mother Julia Schwaegerl of Springfield; four grandchildren; brothers, Leon Schwaegerl of Comfrey and Jim Schwaegerl of Redwood Falls.
Donald Charles Schwaegerl was born on March 19, 1939, in Mountain Lake, Minn., to Henry and Julia (Lenertz) Schwaegerl.

Patricia Ginther, 73,of Springfield, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at Springfield Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 21, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield. The Clergy will be Pastor Carl Seamon. Interment will be in the Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield on Friday from 4-8 p.m., and on Saturday from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.

Patricia Mae Ginther was born May 20, 1930, in Springfield, the daughter of Bernard and Jessie (Larson) Kreitinger. She lived her entire life in Springfield except for 1966-1970 when she lived in Illinois. She worked at Sanborn Manufacturing for 16 years and had also worked at the Springfield Library, St. John's Lutheran Church and St. John Lutheran Home. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild, and had served as past president of the Springfield American Legion Auxiliary. Pat enjoyed collecting music boxes, doing puzzles, bowling in the Wednesday Nite Ladies League, having coffee with the ladies in the morning. She especially enjoyed driving around town.
Survivors include children, Cindy and husband Frank, Jr. Schnobrich, and Terry Klinepeter of Springfield; grandchildren, Jeff and wife Becky Schnobrich of Tremont, IL, Jenny and Brigette Schnobrich of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Kyle Caho, Alicia and Jordan Quarnstrom; brother, Ken and wife Millie Kreitinger of Earlville, IL; nieces, Nadine Aarvig, Julie Kreitinger, Barbie Kreitinger-Galli; and nephews, Ken and Tom Kreitinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene and Jim Kreitinger; and sisters-in-law, Flora and Angie Kreitinger.

Evelyn M. Schnobrich
NEW ULM -- Evelyn M. Schnobrich, 82, of 1027 North State Street in New Ulm, died Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 21, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Samuel Perez celebrating. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m., Friday, and 7:30 - 9:30 a.m., Saturday, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society will pray the rosary at 5:30 p.m., and there will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. both Friday at the funeral home.
Evelyn is survived by her sister, Olivia Rosener of New Ulm; a brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Vivian Schnobrich of New Ulm; and a sister-in-law, Sedonia Schnobrich of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eldor G. Schnobrich Sr. on December 10, 1984, Erwin Schnobrich on December 6, 1982; sister-in-law, Margaret A. Schnobrich on July 8, 2002; brother-in-law, Harold Rosener on May 27, 1979; niece, Beth Clyne on Jan. 22, 1976, and nephew, Lauren Schnobrich on Feb. 10, 1973.
Evelyn was born August 20, 1921, in New Ulm to Joseph J. and Mary Katherine (Felber) Schnobrich. She lived her entire life in New Ulm where she was employed at the Wearwell Garment Company, Highland Manor Nursing Home, and the New Ulm National Guard Armory. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society.
