James E. Farnsworth Bule, 62, of Rochester, died Friday, April 30, 2004, at Stewartville Care Center.
There will be a committal service at 3 p.m., Tuesday, at the New Ulm City Cemetery.
He married Eugenia 'Jeanie' Jaster, on Dec. 8, 1995, in New Ulm. She survives him.
Griffin-Gray Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Bertha Ida Wilbrecht, 98, of Tucson, Ariz., and formerly of New Ulm, died Wednesday, April 18, 2004, in Tucson.
Graveside service is 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.
Schmucker Funeral Service handled arrangements.
She was born Aug. 17, 1905, to Edward and Pauline (Hackbarth) Wilbrecht.

Grace Windler, 78, formerly of New Ulm, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father John A. Richter Officiating. Burial will be in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral. There will be a rosary by the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society at 6:30 p.m., and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. both Tuesday at the funeral home.
Grace is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and David White of Plymouth, Eva and Steve Somsen of Seattle, Washington, Jean Windler of San Diego, California; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Julie Windler of Richfield; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a sister, Sister Monica Grathwohl of Oakdale; and a brother and sister-in-law, Peter A. and Barbara Grathwohl of Bloomington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randolph "Mike" Windler on August 13, 1981; a son, Joseph Windler on June 25, 1983; and brothers, Linus Grathwohl on May 24, 1998, and Norman Grathwohl on January 21, 1932.
Grace Estelle Grathwohl was born on October 19, 1925, in Cottonwood Township, Brown County, to Peter J. and Bertha L. (Lieb) Grathwohl. She married Randolph "Mike" Windler on February 18, 1950, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles. After marriage they lived in New Ulm. She enjoyed flowers, needlework, sewing, traveling, her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society and the Christian Mothers Society.

Reuben Wilhelm, 82, of rural Winthrop, Minn., passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2004, at The Auburn Manor in Chaska.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2004, at 1:30 p.m.. at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Penn Township, McLeod County. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m., and Saturday from 7:30-11 a.m. at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop.
Reuben Herman Wilhelm was born November 14, 1921, in Penn Township, McLeod County, Minn. He was the son of Christ and Emma (Rettmann) Wilhelm. He grew up in Penn Township. where he attended country school.
Reuben farmed in Grafton Township, Sibley County. Reuben and his brother, Maynard, operated the family farm together until they retired in 1995. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and was a very religious man. He loved playing sheephead and enjoyed old time music.
Reuben is survived by his: sisters, Verna Winter of Arlington, Bernetta Alsleben and her husband, Alvin of Brownton, and Ruth Clausen of Chaska; nieces and nephews, Darlene Harris, Muriel and Duane Parpart, Darris and Terri Winter, Arden and Marilyn Alsleben, Donovan and Sharon Alsleben, Glenn and Sue Alsleben, LuAnn Alsleben and Jim Eaton, Gary Alsleben, Burnell and Ginny Clausen, Dennis and Judy Clausen, Glenda and Glen Theis, Bruce and Diane Clausen and David Clausen; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Reuben was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Maynard Wilhelm; sister, Elda Wilhelm; niece, Janet Winter; great-nephew, Jonathan Alsleben and brothers-in-law, Harry Winter and Edward Clausen.

Jeannine Sue (Naumann) Scrimgeour, 73, formerly of New Ulm, died May 4, 2004, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minn.
Funeral services are 11 a.m., Friday, May 7, at the Prairie Community Church of Christ in Lester Prairie. Visitation is one hour before the service at the church.
Burial will be at the Winthrop Cemetery.
She is survived by daughters, Laurie Lewandowski of Detroit Lakes, Judy Schoeneberger of Crookston; sons, William Scrimgeour III of Eden Prairie, Richard Scrimgeour of St. Bonifacius, James Scrimgeour of Waconia; brother, Fred Naumann of Hailey, Idaho; sister, Nancy Williams of Tracy; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was born on Oct. 5, 1930, to Fred and Lorna (Schleuder) Naumann in Minneapolis, Minn.

Kevin Welch, 39, of Redwood Falls, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
Services are 4:30 p.m., Saturday, May 8, at Assemblies of God church in Redwood Falls. Burial will be in St. Cornelia's Episcopal Cemetery, Lower Sioux Community.
Visitation begins at 2 p.m., Friday and continues until Saturday at the Guild Hall with a 7 p.m., prayer service on Friday. Visitation continues one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
Arrangements are handled by Nelson Martin Funeral Service.
He is survived by father, Marion and stepmother Barb Welch of Golden Valley; brother, Bob Welch of Morgan; sisters, Connie Johnson of Redwood Falls, Karen Midthum of Pass Christian, Miss.; stepbrothers, Amir Basri and Andrew Khostavi.
He was born Aug. 28, 1964, in St. Louis Park, to Marion and Robert (Leitch) Welch.

Albert Franke, 93, of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 8, at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. The Clergy will be Rev. Bruce J. Naumann. Interment will be in Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7:30-11 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home.
Albert Henry Franke was born on November 2, 1910, in Leavenworth Township, Brown County, Minn., the son of Albert and Annie (Schmitz) Franke, Sr. On September 23, 1950, he married Mavis Virginia Stiehm in New Ulm. Albert helped area farmers in Morgan, Morton and Sleepy Eye. He later lived and farmed north of Sleepy Eye until moving to Sleepy Eye where he retired. Mavis preceded him in death in 1992. Albert had lived at the Sleepy Eye Care Center since 1996. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, flowers and working in the yard. He loved all animals especially dogs.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Norma Franke of New Ulm, brother-in-law, LeRoy Stiehm of Sleepy Eye;and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mavis, son, LeRoy; infant son, Lyle; brothers, Arthur, Leonard and Fred; sisters, Bertha Kuelbs, Merty Steiner, Minnie Hager, Eleanora Gramentz; infant sister, Elaine; four brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.

Walter E. Hulke, 92, formerly of Courtland died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church in Courtland with Pastor Melvin Schwark officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Monday.
Walter is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Tom Johansen of Menomonie, Wis., Sandy and Dan Meyer of rural Courtland; a son and daughters-in-law, Ron and Sharon Hulke, and Marilyn Hulke all of Courtland; grandchildren, Joel and Lisa, Shelli and Derek, Scott and Kathy, Lisa and Loren, Todd and Carla, Jon and Stacy, Jamie and Scott, Aimee and John, and Dillon; step grandchildren, Robert, Lisa, and Tom; sixteen great grandchildren; and one step great granddaughter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen Walters, Delores Sterba, and Dorothy Olsen all of Illinois, Lorraine and Loyal Humbracht, and Marcella Hulke all of Indiana, and Ruth and Frank Podoga of Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stan and Ruth Hulke, Richard Hulke all of Illinois, and Loren Hulke of Iowa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Lou Hulke and Vera Hulke both of Illinois, Lillian and Wilmar Studtmann of Courtland, and Fillmore Wilking of Kasota; and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Hulke on September 26, 1994; a son, Larry Hulke on January 25, 2003; and by a granddaughter, Kimberly Hulke in infancy; two sisters; and five brothers.
Walter was born on August 7, 1911 in Courtland to William and Doretha (Todt) Hulke. On September 26, 1936, he married Evelyn Schmidt in Winthrop. He farmed, worked for the Courtland Creamery, and was a carpenter. He loved watching baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins and enjoyed playing cards. Walter was very active in the senior citizens and the Courtland Recreation Fish Fry. He was a member of the Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Helen Reinarts, 85, of Springfield, formerly of rural Sleepy Eye, died on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye on Sunday, May 9, 2004 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. The Clergy will be Fr. Brian Oestreich. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.
Helen was born on September 20, 1918 in New Ulm, MN, the daughter of William and Mary (Souschka) Zander. Helen was the youngest child of William and Mary. She attended school in New Ulm. Helen married Emil Reinarts on February 14, 1939 at Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Ulm. After marriage they moved to a farm in Prairieville Township near Cobden and lived there until becoming a resident at St. John Lutheran Home. She worked at the Garment Factory in New Ulm, West Side and East Side in Cobden, Municipal West Side and East Side in Sleepy Eye. Helen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards and other games, crocheting and spending time with family.
Survivors include her daughter, Pauline and husband Beach Roberts of Sanborn; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, including, Paul and wife Beth Roberts and children, Michael, Katie, Andrea and Jon of Lawton, IA, Sherri and husband Brian Keck and children, Krista and Heather of Fairmont, MN, Jo Karow and children, David, Ashtyn and Chelsey of Sleepy Eye, MN and Pat Roberts and Jennifer and children, Jordan and Miranda of Mankato, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,Emil, sisters, Viola Braun, Dorothy Braun and Verna Portner and brother, William Zander.

Ernest M. Berg, 90, of Franklin, died on Friday, May 7, 2004, in Fairfax.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County, with burial in the Franklin Cemetery in Camp Township, Renville County.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 ­ 8 a.m. Monday at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax, and one hour prior to service at the church.
He was born April 30, 1914, in Camp Township, Renville County, to Edward and Mary (Lokken) Berg.
He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Blumhoefer of Fairfax, Bonnie Hoffman of Sunnyvale, Calif., Esther Scharfencamp of Franklin, and Tammi Nachreiner of Franklin; son, Rolin of Santa Clara, Calif.; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lawrence L. Boelke, 87 of Walnut Grove, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the Tracy Hospital in Tracy, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be10:30 a.m. Monday, May 10, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Walnut Grove.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, May 9 at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home in Walnut Grove and continue on Monday one hour prior to the service at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Walnut Grove. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Lawrence is survived by his stepchildren, Jim Jensen of New Ulm, Mary Lou Meling of Las Vegas, NV, Marcia Wilson of Bloomington, and Mona Conway of Centennial, CO; 15 step-grandchildren and 18 step-great grandchildren.

Florence Crouch, 89, recently died in California.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Local arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
She is survived by daughter, Janice Dimas; son, Bob Crouch; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
