Lawrence Matzdorf, 71, of Redwood Falls, died on Thursday, June 24, 2004, in Redwood Falls.
Mass of Christian burial is10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, of Redwood Falls; son: Larry of N. Oaks; daughters, Mary Ann Ebenhoh of Sleepy Eye and Susan Tesch Bemidji; seven grandchildren; sister, Ann Heinecke of Carlton; and brother, Earl, of Buffalo Lake.
He was born July 24,1932 in Buffalo Lake, to Ernest and Helen (Pelz) Matzdorf.

Betty Hillesheim, 69, of Gaylord, died on Friday, June 25, 2004, in Gaylord.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington with burial in the Gaylord Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Egesdahl Funeral Home in Gaylord and one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by sons Mark of Buffalo and Greg of Eagan; daughters VIcky Goettl of Mankato, Lynn Tommello of New Castle, Pa., Lori Martens of Gaylord and Jan Bratsch of Glencoe; brothers Joseph, Peter and Francis Schneider of New Ulm; and sisters Delores Groebner of New Ulm, Lucy Waldrep of Texas, Marie Wiltscheck of Gibbon, and Madlyn Halvorson of Hanska.
She was born Oct. 31, 1934, in New Ulm, to Peter and Julia (Sturm) Schenider.

Joseph Guetter, 87, of Wabasso, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at the Wabasso Health Care Center.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the church, with a rosary and prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
Redwood Valley Funeral Home, Kulow Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Donna M. Reetz, 74 of Arlington died Friday, June 25, 2004 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29 at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington. Interment will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and Tuesday, one hour prior to service at the church.
Donna is survived by her children, Sue Stans of Minnetonka, Dan Reetz of Arlington, Toni Reetz of Arlington, Brian Reetz of Arlington, Curt Reetz of Arlington and Sandy Berrisford of Centerville; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Donna M. Reetz was born on Feb. 14, 1930 in Glencoe to Herman and Eleanor (Barlau) Kamps.

Joseph Guetter, 97 of Wabasso, died June 25, 2004, at the Wabasso Healthcare Center.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Monday, with a rosary and prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. at the church and continues one hour before services, also at the church.
Redwood Valley Funeral Home, Kulow Funeral Service, of Redwood Falls, is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Wabasso; daughters: Margaret Schueller of Tyler and Theresa Schefers of Kimball; sons: Joseph Guetter of Panama City, Fla., Thomas Guetter of Bloomington, David Guetter of Commerce, Ga., Francis Guetter of Wabasso, Michael Guetter of Hutchinson and Ronald Guetter of Willmar; 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brothers: Alois Guetter and Alphonse Guetter of Wabasso; and sisters: Katherine Tinglehoff of West Point, Neb., Theresa Fischer of Wabasso.
Joseph Anthony Guetter was born February 18, 1907, in Vail Township, Redwood County, Minnesota to Joseph and Amelia (Hoffmann) Guetter.

Betty Hillesheim, 69 of Gaylord, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington, with interment in the Gaylord Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour before services today at the church.
Egesdal Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Elizabeth "Betty" Ann (Schneider) Hillesheim was born October 31, 1934, in New Ulm, Minn., to Peter and Julia (Sturm) Schneider.
She attended Holy Trinity High School in New Ulm, graduating in 1952.
Betty was united in marriage with Lyle Hillesheim on August 26, 1953, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm.
Betty worked at various jobs throughout their marriage.
She especially enjoyed caring for her family.
Betty and Lyle lived In various towns before moving to Gaylord.
In 1984, they moved to Emily, where they owned and operated The Call of the Loon Resort.
In 1994, they sold the resort and continued to live by the lake.
In January of 2002, they moved to Gaylord to be close to family and friends.
Betty was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Gaylord.
She belonged to many clubs. She enjoyed golfing, fishing. playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle on Sept. 26, 2002; her parents; brother, Jerome Schneider; and sisters, Rita Braulick and Martha James.
Betty is survived by her children, Mark Hillesheim and his wife, Deb of Buffalo, Minn., Greg Hillesheim and his wife, Regina of Eagan, Minn., Vicky Goettl and her husband, Joe of Mankato, Minn., Lynn Tommelleo and her husband, Tom of New Castle, Pa., Lori Martens and her husband, Kevin of Gaylord, Minn., and Jan Bratsch and her husband, Everett of Glencoe, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers and sisters, Delores Groebner of New Ulm, Joseph Schneider and his wife, Audrey of New Ulm, Peter Schneider of New Ulm, Minn., Lucy Waldrep of Texas, Marie Wiltscheck of Gibbon, Francis Schneider and his wife, Carol of New Ulm, and Madlyn Halvorson and her husband, Herb of Hanska; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Joan Fournier, 52, of Fairfax, died Saturday, June 26, 2004, at her home in Fairfax.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fairfax.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday and 7:30-8:30 a.m., Wednesday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne of Fairfax; a daughter, Nura Alnoni of Mankato; and brothers, Greg Merkel of Fairfax and Allen Merkel of Sleepy Eye.
She was born June 29, 1951, in New Ulm, to George and Julia (Rubischko) Merkel.

Bernice (Mrs. Robert) Gronholz, 75, of rural Nicollet, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at the home of her daughter in Kasota.
Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet with Father Kenneth Irrgang officiating.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Bernice is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Gronholz of rural Nicollet; a daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Dave Woelpern of Kasota; a grandson, Justin Leonard of St. Peter; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Etta and Roger Kastens of Nicollet; brothers and sister-in-law, Dood Grunst, Eddie and Sandy Grunst all of Nicollet; and by sisters-in-law, Dorothy Grunst of North Mankato, Ruby Grunst of New Ulm, Arlene Stejskol of Shakopee; and by many nieces and nephews.
Bern was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, LeRoy Grunst, Raymond Grunst, Bob Grunst; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Opal and Wayne Biehn.
Bernice Irene Grunst, the daughter of Edward and Grace (Hite) Grunst was born on April 25, 1929 in Jackson.
In 1936 she moved with her family to Nicollet where she attended country school in Oshwa Township before transferring to Nicollet Public Schools.
She was a 1947 graduate of the Nicollet Public High School.
Bernice was employed as a teller for the Nicollet State Bank from 1947 until 1992 when she retired.
She was a charter member of the Nicollet American Legion Auxiliary in Nicollet and for the past six years she enjoyed traveling to Mexico with her daughter and son-in-law for a winter vacation for several weeks.
She loved to garden, take care of her flowers in her home and spend time with her grandson.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospice Program in Mankato.

Edmund F. Henke, 90, of Gaylord, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, in Woodbury.
Services are 1 p.m., Thursday, July 1, at the American Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in gaylord.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Wednesday and 7:30-11 a.m., Thursday at Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and continues one hour before the service at the church.
He is survived by son, Ronald Henke of Plymouth; daughters, Lyndis Vanderlouw of Woodbury, Cheryl Hamilton of West Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was born Dec. 22, 1913, in Penn Township, McLeod County, to Emil and Minnie (Lenz) Henke.

Charles Larson, 73, of Hanska died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at his home.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska with Rev. Robert Vedell officiating. Burial with full military honors conducted by the New Ulm veterans organizations will follow at the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Schmucker Funeral Service in Hanska, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Charles David Larson, the son of Melvin and Arline (Brudelie) Larson, was born April 28, 1931 in Hanska.
He attended country school and graduated from Hanska High School in 1948.
Charles entered the United States Army in 1953.
Following his honorable discharge in 1955, he returned home where he farmed with his father and brother in Linden Township, Brown County.
He was united in marriage to Norma Froehling July 28, 1957 at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church.
They made their home in Hanska, where Charles continued to farm with his family.
They joined Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska, where he served as council member, treasurer, and usher.
Charles served several years on the Hanska City Council, was a member of the Legion Lanes Bowling Alley Board, American Legion, Baseball Association, and past Chief of the Hanska Fire Department.
He was a member of the Hanska baseball team and the All Star Bowling League.
He also played church league softball and later coached the team.
Charles enjoyed golf, bowling, cards, and especially visits from his grandchildren.
After retiring from farming in 1990, he worked part time for Wurtz Electric of Hanska.
Survivors include his wife Norma of Hanska; sons, Kurt Larson and his wife Sharon of New Ulm, Eric Larson and his wife Monica of Naperville, IL; daughters, Jody Larson of Jamestown, ND, Jana Thams and her husband Kirk of Davisburg, MI; six grandchildren, Isaac and Aimee Larson, Taylor and Zachary Larson, and Jake and Kelsie Thams; brother, Wallace Larson and his wife Annette of Hanska; brothers-in-law, Harlan Froehling and his wife Marlys of Hanska, Leland Frohling and his wife Mary of St. James; sisters-in-law, Dolores Froehling of Palm Desert, CA, Ardis Grimmelman of Blue Earth, Cheryl Wilke and her husband Steve of New Brighton; and many nieces and nephews.
