Thomas Joseph Mallak, 40, of Eden Prairie, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 26, 2004 in his home of a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Nancy; children, Edward and Katharine; parents, Sylvester and Rosemarie C. (Fasching) Mallak; siblings, Mary Ellen (Dan) Eggers, Fr. Mark Mallak, Joanne (Joseph) Palumbo, Steve (Camy) Mallak, and Brian (Kara) Mallak; mother and father-in-law, Ray and Shirley Swanson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vicki (Bruce) Duncomb, RaeLynn (Kenn) Kahle, Kathleen (Dan) Carlson, Kevin (Michelle) Swanson; 17 nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 8201 Main St., Chanhassen.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 29 from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., all at the church.
A rosary service will be held at 4 p.m., and a prayer service at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Burial in St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Edward and Katharine Mallak Education Fund.

Myrtle Mueller, 76, of Buffalo Lake, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.
Private family burial in the Zion Evangelical Cemetery will take place at a future date.
She is survived by her son Paul Mueller of Lake George, Minn.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister Videll Mueller of West St. Paul.
Myrtle Mae Mueller was born August 22, 1927, in Martinsburg Township, Renville County, Minn., to Benjamin and Mabel (Fischer) Mueller.

William 'Bill' Harding Date, 80 of Mankato, died Monday evening, June 28, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 1, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Charles Ortloff officiating.
Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 ­ 8 p.m., Wednesday (today) at Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
William Date was born February 21, 1924, to Leonard and Mary (Irwin) Date in Mankato.
William served his country during World War II from 1943 ­ 1946.
He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
William was united in marriage to Lorraine Stradtman on June 21, 1946, in rural St. James.
He was a police officer in Mankato for several years and later ran a service station.
William enjoyed his grandchildren, music and cars.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; six children, Gary (Sue) Date of New Ulm, Wayne (Gail) Date, Kevin (Mary) Date, Brian (Jane) Date, Julie Date all of Mankato, Gail (Anthony) Beer of Le Center; eight grandchildren; one brother, Al Parks of Augusta, Montana; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Jeff; five brothers; and four sisters.

Frances Jutz, 92, of New Ulm died Monday, June 28, 2004, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 1, at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.
Concelebrating the Mass will be Father John A. Richter and Deacon Mark Steffl.
Burial will follow in the Church of the Visitation Catholic Cemetery, Swan Lake.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm.
A parish prayer service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Schmucker Funeral Service.
The Christian Mothers Society will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.
Frances Clara Baechler, the daughter of Edward and Frances (Winter) Baechler, was born June 24, 1912, in Elgin, NE.
At the age of twelve, she moved with her family to Minnesota.
Frances was united in marriage to Nicholas Jutz February 19, 1936 at St. John's Catholic Church in Searles.
Together, they farmed in Nicollet County for several years.
After her husband's death in 1957, she moved her family to New Ulm.
She was a long-time foster-care and day-care provider.
Frances moved to the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia March 26, 2004.
She was a member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, CCW, St. Elizabeth Society, and Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her children, Eddie Jutz and his wife Loretta of Laurel, MT, Eugene Jutz and his wife Carolyn of Jones, OK, Louise Gag and her husband Roy of Prairie Du Sac, WI, Barbara Bratsch of Phoenix, AZ, Betty Manthey of San Jose, CA, Charles Jutz and his wife Kathy of Banner, WY, Carol Doering and her husband Jerry of Mankato, Monica Albers and her husband John of Arkansaw, WI, Douglas Jutz and his wife Cathy of New Ulm, Ken Jutz and his wife Sue of Alexandria; son-in-law, Andrew "Bud" Roskos of Grand Rapids, MN; sisters, Annie Clark of Missouri, Lucille Braun of Sleepy Eye; 32 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Frances was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Roskos; son-in-law, Donald Manthey; and great-grandchild, Kymberly Schweigert.
Memorials are preferred.

Henrietta Nado, 91, of 517 S. Payne Street in New Ulm, died Monday, June 28, 2004 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with Father Edward J. Ardolf officiating.
Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4- 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
Henrietta is survived by her husband, Willard W. Nado, a resident of the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Willard C. "Bill" and Helen S. Nado of North Haven, Connecticut; grandchildren, Jason Nado of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Brian Stevens and his wife, Rebecca of New Hampshire, Tara Adams and her husband, Dale of Colorado; a great-grandson Tobin Stevens; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Sprank, Lorraine and Warren Kelly all of Savage, Virginia and Wesley Langhoff of Minneapolis; brothers and sister-in-law, Anthony and DeMaris Hauger of Springfield, Carl Hauger of Minneapolis; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Hauger of Savage, Kathy Hauger of Springfield; and a brother-in-law, "Happy" Schunk of Savage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son and daughter-in-law, James and Rhonda Nado; sister, Marie Agnes Schunk; brothers, John Hauger and Lawrence Hauger; a sister-in-law, Elna Hauger; and a brother-in-law, James Sprank.
Henrietta Marie Hauger was born on May 1, 1913, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Charles E. and Lena (Rademacher) Hauger.
She married Willard W. Nado on April 27, 1938 in New Ulm.
After marriage they lived in New Ulm.
She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.

Nicholas E. Savage, 94, of Comfrey, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, Minn.
The Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 3, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey.
The clergy will be Father Todd Petersen.
Burial will be at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Comfrey.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Friday and 7:30-8:30 a.m., Saturday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Comfrey.
Visitation continue on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m., Friday at Sturm Funeral Home in Comfrey.
Nicholas Edward Savage was born February 5, 1910, in Delton Township, Cottonwood County, the son of J.B. and Catherine (Callanan) Savage.
He attended school in Comfrey and later graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Agriculture.
Nicholas spent most of his adult life in Comfrey and worked in various ag-related jobs, then owned and operated the Gambles Store in Comfrey before becoming the Postmaster at the Comfrey Post Office until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Comfrey Lions Club and the National Association of Postmasters.
Nick enjoyed reading, family gatherings, his Irish heritage, Notre Dame football.
He always maintained an interest in farming.
He traveled to Hawaii and Ireland but enjoyed his trip to the Vatican in Rome most of all.
Nick became a resident of St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield in August of 1999.
He is survived by a sister-in-law- Mrs. Joseph (Doris) Savage of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alice (Lawrence) Hayes, Esther and Mary Savage; and brothers- Jerome (Grace) Savage, Joseph (Beulah) Savage, Father John Savage, James (Lorene) Savage and Richard Savage.

Bufford Tucker, 68, of 1211 N. Spring St., New ULm, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at home.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 2, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm, with burial in Arkansas at a later date.
Visitation is one hour before the service at the church.
Schmucker Funeral Service handled arrangements.
He is survived by wife Doris Tucker of New Ulm; daughter Cindi Davison of New Ulm; and three grandchildren.
He was born July 12, 1935, in Day, Ark., to Thomas and Zelma Tucker.

Eileen Ulland, 75, of 305 27th Drive N.W., Austin, died June 26, 2004 at her home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.
Worlein Funeral Home in Austin handled arrangements.
Among the survivors are Kathleen (Gregg) Ulland-Klinkner of New Ulm.
