Donley Arthur Pansch

October 27, 1934 ~ January 28, 2007

Funeral Services for Donley Arthur Pansch, age 72, of Graceville, MN will be on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 10:00 am at the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Graceville, MN. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Graceville Consolidated Cemetery in Graceville, MN.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 2, 2007 at the Larson Funeral Home in Graceville, MN beginning at 4:00 pm and concluding at 8:00 pm. There will be a prayer service beginning at 7:30 pm.

Donley Arthur Pansch was born on October 27, 1934 on a farm southeast of Odessa and according to legend, behind a lilac bush.

Donley died on Sunday, January 28, 2007 of cancer at his home in Graceville, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Florence Pansch and brother Ronald Pansch.

Mary A. Seaton

Funeral Services for Mary A. Seaton, 91, of Ortonville were held Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Ortonville.

Burial was held following the service in the Mound Cemetery in Ortonville.

Mary Agusta (Schneider) Seaton was born on Oct. 17, 1915, on a farm near Clinton, to parents, Paul and Martha (Vigdahl) Schneider.

Mary passed away Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at the Northridge Residence Nursing Home in Ortonville, reaching the age of 91 years.

Dorothy Krogsrud

Memorial services for Dorothy Krogsrud will be held Wednesday afternoon, May 2, 2007, at 1:30 PM, at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton.

Clergy participating in the service will be Pastor Scott Nagel, Pastor Kathy Marker, Pastor Robert Gravley, and Lay Pastor Mark Weise.

Mary Schirm will be the organist and accompany the congregation in singing “Softly and Tenderly” and “Lift High the Cross”. Soloists will be Edythe Gravley and Peggy Weise. Edythe will sing “It Took A Miracle” and “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”. Peggy will sing “Because He Lives” and “The Old Rugged Cross”.

Interment will be at the Appleton City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 6 to 8 PM, at Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton, and continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday afternoon.

Dorothy died Thursday, April 26th, at the Ortonville Hospital. She attained the age of 82 years, one month, and 10 days.

She is survived by four children: Stan (former wife Linda) Krogsrud of Correll, Ron (and Kathryn) Krogsrud of Appleton, Linda (and Jim) Schlieman of Holloway, and Barb (and Paul) Maas of Ortonville; 14 grandchildren: Kris (Bruce) McIntyre, Donna Giff, Kent (Heather Harper), David (Jessica Kleindl), Amanda, Greg, Marcus, and Johanna Krogsrud; Jim(Callie), Bob (Teressa), and Rick (Erin Thompson) Schlieman; Sarah, Seth, and Shane Mass; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Vivian (and LeRoy) Swenson of Appleton and Yvonne (and Richard) Hagstrom of Alexandria; two brothers: Ray (and Vera) Kavanagh of Bemidji and Loren (and Bonnie) Kavanagh of Appleton; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton, on Feb. 9th, 1995; grandsons Curtis and Scott (and Cathy Jo) Krogsrud; and her sister, Lucille Brabender.

Mike Kelly

Memorial Services for Mike Kelly, 59, of Ortonville were held Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at the First English Lutheran in Ortonville.

Private family burial took place in the Mound Cemetery in Ortonville.

Michael T. Kelly was born on Aug. 10, 1947, in Ortonville, to parents, John D. and Signe J. (Olson) Kelly. As a young boy, he was baptized and confirmed at the First English Lutheran Church in Ortonville, and graduated from Ortonville High School in 1965. Mike then attended the University of Minnesota in Morris receiving his degree in 1969. Following his graduation, he took a position with Texaco Oil Company in Cincinnati, OH, as a Regional Manager and he later worked for Skil Power Tools in Omaha, NE.

In 1975, Mike started Kelwelco (a power tool distribution company) in Omaha, NE. After a number of years, he sold his share of the company and began working as a Real Estate Broker in Minneapolis, and also in Melbourne, FL. While in Melbourne, Mike married Becky Ross in March of 1986. Together the couple was blessed with a son, Ryan, born on Jan. 24, 1988.

In 1994, Mike took an early retirement due to health reasons, and returned to Ortonville.

Mike loved the outdoors and all it had to offer. He was an avid hunter and cherished time spent fishing and golfing. Mike also loved travel but more than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his son, Ryan and his family. He will be truly missed by those that loved him and called him friend.

Mike passed away Saturday June 30, 2007, at his home in Ortonville, reaching the age of 59 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. "Jack" and Signe Kelly.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Ryan Kelly; wife, Becky Kelly; a sister, Jodi Beck (fiance Rod Jensen); two brothers, Jack (MaryJo) Kelly, and Jim Kelly; three special friends, Reese Kelly, Karl Beck, and Sandy Smaagaard; four nieces, Andrea Kelly, Lisa Anderson, Kristine Welle, and Ana Kelly; four nephews, John Kelly, Nathanael Kelly, Vaughn Kelly, and Seth Kelly; as well as many other extended family and friends.

The Larson Funeral Home of Ortonville was in charge of the arrangements.

Geraldine Schmeichel

Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Loren (Geraldine) Schmeichel, 58, of rural Milbank who died July 7th at the Milbank Area Hospital - Avera Health.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12th at 2:00 p.m. At Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank. Rev. Glenn Schultz will officiate.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Mundwiler Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. And continue at the church on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Duane Angerhofer, Brad Angerhofer, and Ethan Dornon. Pallbearers will be: Lee Wellnitz, Dean Wellnitz, Josh Schmeichel, Corey Lemster, Jon Lemster, and Matthew Lemster.

Geraldine Carol Schmeichel was born July 23, 1948, in Milbank, SD. She was the daughter of Martin and Audrey (Stark) Angerhofer. She attended schools in Milbank, Big Stone City, SD and in Ortonville. She was united in marriage on March 12, 1966, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank with Loren Alan Schmeichel.

While Loren served in the United States Navy, the couple lived in Long Beach, CA from 1966-1970, then returned to rural Milbank where they have since resided. Geraldine worked as a house keeper for the Manor Motel before working as a nurse's aid at Beverly Health Care in Milbank. She had recently retired, and was enjoying traveling and visiting family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and reading. She will be remembered by her family as the "glue" which held them all together.

Geraldine Schmeichel is survived by her husband, Loren of rural Milbank; her mother, Audrey Winterowd of Tucson, AZ; one son and daughter-in-law: Wayne and Linda Schmeichel of Eagan; one daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Morris Riggin of Mina, SD; five grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters: Stanley and wife Shirley Angerhofer of Centerville; Alice and husband Orville Richardson of Georgia; Pauline Angerhofer of Fulda; Edward Angerhofer of Sioux Falls, SD; Michael Lemster of Valley Springs, SD; Nancy Asmussen of Watertown, SD; Linda and husband John Dornon of St. Paris, OH; and Lisa Schmldt of Aberdeen, SD.

She was preceded in death by her father and four brothers: Clinton Angerhofer, Victor Angerhofer, Alan Angerhofer, and Brian Winterowd.

Mundwiler Funeral Home of Milbank is in charge of the arrangements.
