Tillie Christensen
Tillie (Zintek) Christensen, age 71, died March 8, 1998.

There was no service at her request.

Tillie was born and raised in the Little Falls area.

Survivors include her beloved Walter Bangert; five children, Joyce, Betty, Ronald, Michael and Gayle; nine grandchildren; four great-grandsons; her sister, Esther Rossum of Randall, MN, and brother, Edward Zintek of St. Cloud, MN.

Gwen Wollack

Gwen M. Wollack, age 81, a resident of Little Falls, MN, died March 10, 1998, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 13 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls with Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Royalton, MN.

Gwen was born April 13, 1916, in Belleview Township, Morrison County, MN, to the late G.J. “Gus” and Isabelle (Mcleod) Hodorff. She grew up in Belleview Township and attended school in District #133 at Vawter, MN, graduating from Royalton High School in 1933. She attended teachers training in Little Falls and taught school near Little Falls at the Lone Pine School. She was united in marriage to Walter J. Wollack on August 24, 1940, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. Following their marriage Gwen attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State University, advancing her teaching degree. She taught school in Districts 29B and 29C, at the Green School near Little Rock, MN, and at the Brick School north of Royalton. Together the couple farmed in Belleview Township from 1949 to 1961. In 1961 she attended Occupational Therapy Training in Duluth and worked in the Edina Heritage Nursing Home. Following her husband’s death on April 19, 1969, she moved to Little Falls and worked in Occupational Therapy at the Lutheran Care Center until she retired in 1981. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, Christian Mothers and the Thursday prayer group.

Survivors include her daughters, Muriel W. Poehler of Royalton and Jean M. Sullivan and husband Greg of New Braunfels, TX; sister, Marjorie Pehrson of St. Cloud, MN; and grandchildren, Mike Sullivan of New Braunfels, TX, and Diana and Carrie Poehler of Royalton.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and a brother, James Hodorff.

Casketbearers were Gordon Pehrson, Mike Sullivan, Chuck Wollack and Jeff, Diana and Carrie Poehler.

James R. Snow

James R. Snow, age 72, a resident of Little Falls, MN, died March 12, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Center in St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral services were held March 16 at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Military rites were conducted by Little Falls V.F.W. Post 1112 and Little Falls American Legion Post 46.

James R. Snow was born July 23, 1925, in Golva, ND, to the late Francis and Clara E. (Lechler) Snow. At the age of six years his family moved to the Randall, MN area in Parker Township and farmed. James attended school in Randall, and graduated from Little Falls High School the class of 1942. He entered the United States Army and served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He received an honorable discharge on August 25, 1953. He worked for Minneapolis Moline and in 1958 moved to Little Falls and was united in marriage to Shirley Johnson on December 26, 1958. He owned and operated the Market Street Bar for two years, later changing the name to Snow’s Bar and Restaurant, which he operated for 28 years. He also worked for K & J Manufacturing for 17 years. Due to ill health he became a resident of the Veterans Administration Center in St. Cloud in 1995 where he resided until his death. He was a member of Little Falls V.F.W. Post 1112 and Little Falls American Legion Post 46.

Survivors include his wife Shirley; sons, Wayne Lee Snow and wife Janet of El Paso, TX; Kevin D. Snow and wife Carol of Little Falls; Scott A. Snow of Little Falls; daughter, Linda Medina and husband Rodolfo ‘Rudy’ of Little Falls; and, six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Calvin, and a half- brother, Dwight.

Honorary pallbearers were members of Little Falls V.F.W. Post 1112 and Little Falls American Legion Post 46.

Casketbearers were Kelvin, Scott and Wayne Snow, Rodney Brenner, Daniel Doucette and Joseph Urai.

Harriette M. Rocheleau

Harriet M. Rocheleau, age 72, a resident of rural Little Falls, MN, died March 14, 1998, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 17 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie Township with the Rev. Harold J. Kost officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Harriette M. Rocheleau was born on May 22, 1925, in South Shore, SD, to the late Henry and Minnie (Zirbel) Larson. She grew up and attended country school in South Shore. Following the death of her parents, she went to live with relatives. As a young lady, she moved to Chicago, IL, with her sister. She then moved to Little Falls where she worked for the Seward family who owned First National Bank. She was united in marriage to Jeddy Rocheleau on October 29, 1945, at Immaculate Conception Church in Rice, MN. Following their marriage, the couple made their home on the Rocheleau family farm northeast of Little Falls in Belle Prairie Township where they have resided up to the time of Harriette’s death. She enjoyed gardening and her many houseplants, watching the Minnesota Twins on TV and was an excellent cook and baker. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie Township and the St. Anne Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her husband, Jeddy of Little Falls; sons, Randy and Brian Rocheleau of Little Falls and Jim Rocheleau and wife Mary of Swanville, MN; daughters, Nila Zapzalka and husband Don of Little Falls, Sharon Kedrowski of Little Falls and Joan Czech and husband Ken of Flensburg, MN; sisters, Sylvia Stellmach of St. Cloud, MN and Rosabel Dubbin of Las Cruces, NM; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Vern and Verdi Larson and son-in-law, Gerald Kedrowski.

Honorary pallbearers were the St Anne Christian Mothers. Active casketbearers were Brent Zapzalka, Jayme Rocheleau, Shawn Czech, Jeremy Czech, Bradley Rocheleau and Michael Tretter.

Richard L. ‘Bud’ Molde
Richard L. “Bud” Molde, age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, N.M, since 1952, died May 17, 1998.
Memorial services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Wright officiating. Cremation took place and interment was at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to The American Parkinson Disease Association, 116 John St., New York, NY, 10038.

Bud was born December 30, 1914, in Little Falls, MN. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945 and was a member of the American Legion in Little Falls. He went to Albuquerque as a warehouse supervisor of Pittsburgh Paint & Glass and was employed at Cardinal Fence Company from which he retired in 1980. He was P.E.R. of the Santa Fe BPOE #460 and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include sisters Violet Super, Betty Zobroski and Shirley Molde of MN; his wife of 61 years, Norma; sons, Michael, husband of Masumi of Sasebo, Japan, Bruce, husband of Linda of Albuquerque and Bradley of Northhamptonshire, England; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Nellie Molde, and sister, Mildred Pikus.

Philip Goligowski
Philip Goligowski, age 82, a resident of Cushing, MN, died May 15, 1998, at St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls, MN.

Funeral services were held May 18 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville, MN, with Fr. Kenneth Thielman officiating. Burial was in the Christ the King cemetery in Browerville.

Philip was born November 12, 1915, in Turtle Creek Township, Todd County, MN, to William and Minnie (Borgert) Goligowski. He married Agnes Mudek on October 7, 1972, at St. Joseph’s Church, Browerville. Philip was born and raised on the family farm and worked on the farm most of his life. After he married his wife Agnes, they moved to the Twin Cities and lived there for two years while Philip worked at a gas station. They moved back to Cushing on Big Lake and Philip worked at Camp Ripley with the maintenance crew. Philip loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes of Cushing; children, Terry Zanda of Cushing, Theresa Peloquin of St. Paul, MN,Verna (John) Scheiber of St. Paul, Joan Pray of Long Prairie, MN, and Ray (Sue) Zanda of Swanville, MN; brothers and sisters, Louie Goligowski of Cushing, Kathryn (Sam) Cech of Browerville, and Ed (Dori) Goligowski of Cushing; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Gertrude.

Casketbearers were Ray Zanda, Kevin Zanda, Greg Goligowski, Don Goligowski, John Scheiber and Roger Krist.

Ryan L. Tenney
Ryan L. Tenney, age 15, a resident of Foley, MN, died May 10, 1998, at St. Hwys. 95 & 23 as a result of an auto accident.

Funeral services were May 14 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Foley. Fr. Alfred Heltemes officiated. Burial was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Foley.

Ryan Tenney was born August 4, 1982, in Little Falls, MN, to Lance and Linda (Gohman) Tenney. He had lived in Royalton until moving to Foley in 1988. He was a freshman at Foley High School. He was very active in aggressive rollerblading, a sport he dearly loved. He also enjoyed computer games. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Foley.

Survivors include his mother, Linda of Foley; brother and sister, Dustin of Foley and Tara of Foley; grandmothers, Olivia Gohman, St. Cloud, MN; and Ramona Tenney of Sauk Rapids, MN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lance, April 18, 1990.

Pallbearers were Dustin Tenney, Shaun Tenney, Jacob Stock, John Gohman, Michael Gohman and Jim McDonald.

Honorary pallbearers were Josh Magnuson, Eric Paulson, Jason Sens, Keith Sherk, Josh Nelson, Travis Sweeter and Jeff Adams.
