Emilie "Milly" Landsberger
Emilie "Milly" Landsberger, 90, Cannon Falls and formerly of Hampton, died on Monday evening, September 21, 1998 at the Cannon Falls Community Hospital.
She was born Emilie Rollny on May 13, 1908 in Poland, and later moved to the United States. She married G. Leo Landsberger and was a homemaker for most of her married life. They were members of St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton. She was currently a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her brother, Steffon of Germany; sister-in-law Rose Landsberger of Hastings; and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier, with Father Marvin Klaers celebrating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 9-10 a.m.
Arrangements are by Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
Orville Amos
Orville N. Amos, 92, Cannon Falls, died on Tuesday morning, November 10, 1998 at Our Lady of the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls, where he was residing with his wife Angeline. They are the parents of local Donna (Bill) Tix of Randolph.

Harriet Magnuson
Harriet Hilma Magnuson, 89, Cannon Falls, died on Tuesday afternoon, November 3, 1998 at the Cannon Falls Community Hospital.
Harriet was born on July 30, 1909 in Leon Township, the daughter of Fred and Esther (Benson) Klingberg. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1926, and then took normal teacher's training for one year. She taught for eight years in rural schools in Leon Township until her marriage.
Harriet married Wilbur Magnuson on August 17, 1935 at the home of her uncle, Frank Benson, in Cannon Falls Township. They farmed at the Klingberg farm in Leon Township, until buying their farm in Warsaw Township. They farmed there until retiring in 1978. They continued to live on the farm until moving in to Cannon Falls in 1989.
Harriet was an active member since 1941 in all activities at the Randolph Baptist Church. She had also been a 4-H leader for several years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, her flowers and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wilbur; her daughters, Marie (Bob) Peterson of Columbia Heights, Phyllis (Bob) Benz of Cannon Falls and Marjorie (Lowell) Larson of Owatonna; 9 grandchildren, Tom, Wendy, David, Carrie, Kevin, Lori, Steven, Jana and Christopher; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Larson; and sister, Ruby Johnston.
Funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 6 at the Randolph Baptist Church in Randolph, with Pastor Curt Batschelet officiating. Interment was at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Tom and David Peterson, Todd Lundell, Steven Benz, Aaron Hart and Christopher Larson. Honorary pallbearer was Kevin Benz.

Vittoria Golden
Vittoria (Vicky) Golden, the wife of William (Bill) Golden, formerly of Cannon Falls, died on Thursday, Oct. 29, 1998, at Bay Front Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, after a short illness.
She was born in Maddaloni, Italy, on Dec. 17, 1925. She was married to Bill Golden in July, 1946, in Maddaloni.
She worked for Armour Packing Co., So. St. Paul, and Kid Duds, Cannon Falls. They moved to St. Petersburg in 1988.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; son William Jr., and daughter, Lorraine, Milwaukee, WI; two grandchildren; a brother and two sisters.
Ladies of VFW Post 6827 were honorary pallbearers at the funeral. Interment was at Royal Palms Cemetery, St. Petersburg.

Karline Marie Hunter
Karline Marie Hunter, 60, Cannon Falls, died at her home on Tuesday, September 29, 1998.
Karline was born on March 28, 1938 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Florence (Sandberg) Stohle. She graduated from East High School in Rock- ford.
She married Marvin Brobeck on May 13, 1955 in Rockford. He pre- ceded her in death on October 1, 1966. She remarried on September 16, 1967 to James R. Hunter. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1981.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie (James) Gergen of New Ulm and Deanne (Ron Schmidt) Hellum of Dennison; nine grandchildren, Sara and Karla Rapp, Kari Brobeck, Kristina, Kellie and Kortney Hellum, Steven Ward, Jessica Sanderson and Bethany Rapp; great-grandson Nathan Kilmer; brother Carl (Nancy) Stohle of Rockford; and former son-in-law, Rodney Rapp of Cannon Falls.
Funeral service was held on Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Dana Peterson officiating. Interment was at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Steve and Mark Stohle, Don Liebgott, Ron Schmidt, Rodney Rapp and Bob Reim. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Ward and Nathan Kilmer.

Albert Lohmann
Graveside services for Albert Lohmann, 83, will be held Tuesday, October 13 at 1 p.m. at the Zumbrota Cemetery.

Goldie M. Black
Goldie M. Black, 86, Red Wing, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998 at the Fairview Seminary Home.
She was born April 29, 1912 in Vasa Township, the daughter of William and Selma (Carlson) Black.
She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1932. She helped on the family farm all her life. She entered the Seminary Home in 1989 and has resided there since then. She was a member of Vasa Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She is survived by several cousins and was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn, in 1989.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. at Vasa Lutheran Church with Reverend Michael Dobbins officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery in Vasa Township.
Pallbearers were Jerry and Jim Black, Carl and Marvin Fredrickson, Roy Ryan and Paul Tilderquist.
Lee Gergen
Lee John Gergen, 80, Randolph, died on Friday morning, November 13, 1998 at the Cannon Falls Community Hospital.
He was born on October 17, 1918 in Hastings, the son of Peter and Marie (Moes) Gergen.
Lee married Florence Eiler on February 10, 1942 in Hampton. He farmed most all of his life in Hampton Township. He had served on the Hampton Township board for 30 years.
He was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls, and was a member of the Father Paul Judge Knights of Columbus Council #4481. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had been a member of the Oxford Sportsman's Club.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Florence; his sons, Gary (Marlene) of South Carolina, John (Pat) of Dennison, Stan (Brenda) of Cannon Falls, Clinton (Debbie) and Clifford (Sue), all of Farmington; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Nicholas (Marilyn) Gergen of Minneapolis, Paul (Lucille) Gergen of Rosemount, Alyce (Harold "Bud) Kieffer and Eleanor (Bert) Charlton, all of Hastings; brother-in-law, Robert McCoy of Cannon Falls; and sister-in-law, Eleanor McCoy of Cannon Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alois Gergen; and sisters, Rosella McCoy and Helen McCoy.
Mass of Christian Burial was on Monday, November 16 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls, with Father David Shannon officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were his grandchildren, Kelly Glasby, Kenneth, Renee, Brad, Stacy, Brian, Leigha, Andrea and Ashley Gergen.
