Ardina J. Schramm, 89 of Gaylord died July 11, 1999, at Gaylord Lakeview Home.
Services are 3 p.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with burial in the Immanuel Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.
Fenske Family Funeral Home of Gaylord handled arrangements.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and Marcy Schramm of Plymouth; sister, Agnes Pinske of Brownton and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick in November 1984; daughter, Barbara Schramm; brother, Leonard Doering; and sister, Alma Stockman
She was born July 1, 1910, in Dryden Township, Sibley County, to August and Mary (Gruenwald) Doering. She attended school in Gaylord. She married Frederick Schramm on April 18, 1943 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. She worked in the laundry at the Gaylord Community Hospital for 23 years until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid. She became a resident of the Gaylord Lakeview Home in the mid 1990s.

Margaret F. Kreger, 92, of Waconia, formerly of Green Isle died July 12, 1999, at Waconia Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Green Isle with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 8- 10:30 a.m. Friday at Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, James and Mary Ann of Green Isle, Thomas and Joan of Darwin, and John and Shirley of Chanhassen; daughters and sons-in- law, Geraldine and Paul Conser of Simi Valley, Calif., and Mary and Richard Caudle of Willets, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 1, 1951; sister, Fern; and three grandchildren.
She was born Nov. 3, 1906, in Jessenland Township, Sibley County, to James and Maggie (Schaffer) Tierney. She attended District 43 (Sweeney School) until 7th grade and then transferred to St. Anne's Catholic School in LeSueur. She also attended two years of school in Henderson and graduated from Arlington High School in 1924. She attended Mankato Teachers College and received her teaching certificate. On June 28, 1928 she married Bernard Kreger at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Jessenland Township. She taught in rural schools for three years. After her husband's death she taught 3rd grade in Belle Plaine for 19 years. She graduated from Mankato State in 1959 with a B.S. degree. She retired from teaching in 1972. In 1988 she moved to West View Acres in Waconia.

Eleanor Fixsen, 98, of Morgan, died July 12, 1999 at Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home in Morgan.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday with a CCW Rosary at 5:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8 - 10 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home in Morgan.
She is survived by son, Robert and his wife Cleo of Morgan; son-in-law, Louie Forbrook of rural Sleepy Eye; six grandchildren with spouses; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother Wesley and his wife Magel of Minnetonka; and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 2, 1972; daughter, Judith in 1990; brother Clarence and sister Alice.
She was born April 20, 1901, in Westbrook to Frank and Frances (Kretsch) Schieffert. She attended St. Michael's School and Morgan Public High School. She worked for her father in his restaurant for nine years. She married Roy L. Fixsen on Nov. 17, 1926. They lived on the Fixsen family farm. They retired in 1956 and moved to Morgan. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, where she participated in choir, St. Anne's Mission Club and St. Anne's Altar Society. She was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary, Extension Club and Senior Citizens Club. She was a resident of Gil-Mor Manor since November 1994

Clifford 'Cliff' Jeske, 84, of 1020 S. Payne in New Ulm died Tuesday, July 13, 1999 at his home.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of the service at the church on Monday.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel Jeske of New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Pringle of rural Nicollet; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Margo Jeske of Minnetonka and Dennis and Cherry Jeske of rural Hanska; grandchildren, Eric Jeske of Minnetonka, Kristin and Mike Bailey of Mankato, Clifford Pringle of Nicollet, Alyssa Jeske and Cameron Jeske both of Hanska; sister, Loretta Laurence of Oakland, California; brother in law, Willard Leikam of Searles; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wally and Inez Schmiesing, and Sidney and Dorothy Schmiesing, all of rural Hanska.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Leikam; and an infant granddaughter.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1914 in Linden Township, Brown County to Herman and Olga (Gutknecht) Jeske. He married Muriel Louise Schmiesing on Feb. 14, 1941 at her home in Lake Hanska Township. They farmed until retiring in 1978 when they moved to New Ulm.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm, Hanska Sportsman's Club, and the Izaak Walton League. He was a former member of the District 53 School Board, Linden Lutheran Church Council, and Hanska Lakeshore Band.

Emma Rickert, 104, of Brownton died July 14, 1999 at Glencoe Area Health Center.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Hantge Funeral Chapel in Brownton and one hour prior to the services at church.

Richard Barnum, 78, of Carthage, Mo., and formerly of Redwood Falls, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999 at Carthage Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
Services are Monday at 10:30 am at New Avon Salem United Methodist Church in New Avon Township with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by his friend Lee Reider of Carthage, Mo.; sister, Ruth Mulick and husband Joe of Kansas City, Kansas; sister-in-law, Ruth Barnum of rural Redwood Falls; and brother-in-law, Jack Large of Wabasso; several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vernon; and sister, Delores.
He was born on Feb. 19, 1921, in Redwood Falls to Doc Luvern and Myrtle (Johnson) Barnum. He graduated from Wabasso High School. He farmed in Redwood County. He was a member of New Avon Salem United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau.

Lydia Dehne, 88, of Hector died July 14, 1999 at Glencoe Area Health Care Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector with burial in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by brothers, Fred Stern of Sanborn, and Edward and his wife Joyce of Shawnee, Kansas; sisters-in-law, Peggy Brevold and Delores Stern; many nieces, nephews and friends, and special friends Christ and Violet Johnson of Buffalo Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and two brothers.
She was born Aug. 8, 1910 in North Star Township, Brown County, to August and Emma (Krueger) Stern. She attended District 78 school in North Star Township. She married William Radtke in 1934. The couple farmed in North Star Township. On Feb. 14, 1952 she married Arthur Dehne at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Fairmont. They farmed west of Hector. Art died May 3, 1980.

Esther Bahn, 100, of Wood Lake-Cottonwood area died July 24, 1999 at Granite Falls Manor in Granite Falls.
Services are 11:a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Posen Township, rural Wood Lake with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is one hour before services at the church. Sunset Funeral Home of Echo handled arrangements.
She is survived by daughters, Verdina Molstad and husband Bob of Cottonwood, Janet Kane of St. Paul, and Geneva Wetzel and husband Arthur of New Brighton; sons, David Bahn and wife Lalah of Wood Lake, Hilbert and wife Janice of Springfield, Ill., Dennis and wife Doris of Bloomington and Walden and wife Judy of Apple Valley; six grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons-in-law and a great-grandson.
She was born Oct. 6, 1898, near Gaylord. Due to the illness of her mother, she was raised by her uncle and aunt. When her aunt died she lived in a children's home before coming to live with Mrs. John Bahn on a farm in Posen township. She attended the St. Luke's Lutheran School. She married to David Bahn on June 12, 1921 in St. Luke's Church. They farmed near Cottonwood for many years. In 1959 they moved to Wood Lake. After her husband's death in 1966, she continued to live in Wood Lake until 1983 when she moved to Cottonwood. In 1993 she entered the Granite Falls Manor. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Posen Township where she belonged to the Ladies Aid. She also belonged to the Posen Homemakers Club and the Wood Lake Birthday club.

Dorothy Odegard, 48, of Black Hawk, S.D., formerly of New Ulm, died July 13, 1999 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, S.D.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska with burial in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 Saturday at Firle Funeral Home in Hanska and continues one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel of Black Hawk, S.D.; daughters, Dawn Gregor and her husband Scott of New Ulm, Amanda Odegard of Black Hawk, S.D.; sons, John Odegard and his wife Carri of Hanska, Jeffrey Odegard of Black Hawk; five grandchildren; parents, Lonnie and Gladys Johnston of Orange Grove, Texas; sisters, Mary Olivio and husband Juan of Sandiego, Texas, Christine Olive and husband Mike of Beeville, Texas, Bonnie Wills of Orange Drove, Texas; brothers, Lonnie Ray Jr. Johnston and wife Betty of Corpus Christi, Texas, Horace Johnston and wife Elaine of Alice, Texas, Maco Johnston and wife Wes of Orange Grove, Texas, Albert Johnston and his wife Emily of Odem, Texas; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Solberg and husband Donald of Albany, Ga., Linda Dyre and her husband Mark of New Brighton, Caroline Suess and her husband Steven of New Ulm; and many nieces and nephews.
She was born Oct. 28, 1950 in Alice, Texas to Lonnie Ray and Gladys (Cochran) Johnston. She lived in Alice until 1969 when she moved to New Ulm. She married Daniel Odegard on April 13, 1969 in Hanska. They lived in New Ulm until 1982 then moved to Lakeville. In 1984 they moved to Lake City where she worked at the Blue Moon Restaurant. In 1991 they moved to Black Hawk, S.D. She was admitted into the Rapid City Care Center in February 1999.

Emma M. Rickert, 104, of Brownton died July 14, 1999, at Glencoe Area Health Center- Long Term Care.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Hantge Chapel in Brownton as well as one hour prior to the service at church.
She is survived by daughter Della and her husband Ralph Schultz of Buffalo Lake; grandchildren and their spouses, Earl and Diane Opitz of Gaylord, Glenda and Gus Fisker of Pine River, Karlo and Betty Schultz of Winsted, Merril and Mary Schultz of Waseca; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Ella Weishert of Brownton and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Lorna Opitz in 1969; son-in-law, Edwin Opitz; seven brothers, Julius, Emil, Henry, John, Edward, August, Otto; and five sisters, Mina, Ida, Lena, Martha and Mathilda.
She was born Aug. 19, 1894, in Round Grove Township, McLeod County to Emil and Bertha (Schwartzrock) Gehrke. She attended school in Round Grove Township. On June 18, 1914 she was married to Fred Rickert in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. They lived in Penn Township and moved into Brownton in 1947. She helped with the farming operation for most of her life. She worked at Green Giant in Glencoe.

Rev. Joanne M. Benson, 49, of Rochester died Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Rochester Covenant Church in Rochester. Burial of the ashes will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Winthrop City Cemetery.
Visitation without reviewal will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Ranfranz Funeral Home in Rochester.
She is survived by her parents; brothers and sisters-in-law Keith and Corrine of Robbinsdale, Kevin and Becky of Blue Earth; four grandchildren; sister Karen Benson living in the Central African Republic.
She is preceeded in death by her grandparents and a nephew.
She was born Feb. 26, 1950 in New Ulm to Wallace and Marjorie (Peterson) Benson of Winthrop. She graduated high school in Winthrop, Mankato State University in 1972 then taught elementary school in Winthrop. She attended Northpark Theological Seminary and graduated from Yale Divinity School and was ordained in 1987. She served as Chaplain at Cromwell Conneticut Children's home and was also pastor at Cromwell Covenant Church. From 1991 till her retirement in 1998 she served as pastor at Rochester Covenant Church. She was involved in many activities including: serving for many years as secretary for Habitat for Humanity; she was Chair of the Board of Congregational Services of the Covenant Church, was a consultant for Zumbro District from 1991 until her death, Chair of the Clergy Care Committee of the Northwestern Conference, and served as secretary for the Ministerium of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Family prefers memorials to Habitat for Humanity, Cromwell Children's Home in Cromwell, Conn,. Rochester Covenant Church in care of Joni Benson Camp Scholarship Fund.
