Larry E. Elliott, age 61, of Tina, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006 at his home.
He was born August 8, 1944 in Waverly, Missouri, the son of Otis Sim and Eunice Winifred Haley Elliott. He attended Carrollton schools.
On October 4, 1964 he was married to Mildred Shatto in Carrollton, Missouri, by Reverend A. W. Michaels. She survives at the home.
Larry was a truck driver.
He is also survived by his mother, Eunice, Bogard, Missouri, two daughters, Linda Marquez and husband Oscar, Rocheport, Missouri, Tealisa Elliott, Carrollton, Missouri, two brothers, Otis Lavern Elliott, DeWitt, Missouri, Sammy Wayne Elliott, Carrollton, Missouri, one sister, Mary Jo Ann Brown, Carrollton, Missouri, four grandchildren, Matthew McDowell, Christopher, Justin and Amanda Howery, a very good friend, David Anderson and several nieces and nephews.
His father and one brother, Andy Bill Elliott, preceded him in death.

Sharon Elaine Eiserer, age 62, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at her home.
She was born July 28, 1943 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Marjorie Link Kaiser. She graduated from Carrollton High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia where she majored in English. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Kappa Gamma.
On September 8, 1963 she married Allen Eiserer in Carrollton, Missouri. He survives at the home.
Sharon had worked as a Supervisor for the Division of Family Services in Carrollton, retiring after twenty years of service. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Carrollton, Missouri.
Sharon is also survived by her mother, Marjorie, one son, Henry A. Eiserer, Jr. and wife Melissa, one brother, Kevan Kaiser, one sister, Carol Jean Kaiser, two grandsons, Brant and Brice Eiserer, all of Carrollton, Missouri.
Her father preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Pastor Eric Swyres officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Josephine McLaughlin Alexander of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Norborne, Missouri, passed away at her home on July 3, 2006.
Josephine was born August 25, 1918 in Carrollton, Missouri, to John and Rose Hoffman McLaughlin. She leaves behind her loving husband, Jack, of their home, one son, John Robert Alexander and wife Betty, one daughter, Kathy Csizma of Centerville, Ohio, one granddaughter, Courtney Csizma, one living sister, Gladys Moloski of Shawnee, Kansas, two sisters-in-law, Dorothy McLaughlin, Kansas City, Erlene McLaughlin, Lexington, Missouri, several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Josephine attended grade school in Carrollton and graduated from Norborne High School. After graduating, Josephine taught at a country school north of Norborne for one year. In 1939 she married Edgar W. “Jack” Alexander at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norborne. They then moved to Ohio. After moving to Ohio, Josephine was a substitute teacher. She then worked at the National Cash Register Company until 1945. She also worked at the Monsanto Company for twenty-seven years as a technician.
Josephine was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by many friends and family.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norborne, Missouri, with Reverend Ken Criqui officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.

Rose A. King, age 47, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 7, 2006 at her home.
She was born July 20, 1958 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of John and Dorothy Wheeler Allen. She attended Carrollton grade schools.
On June 14, 1986 she married Kenny King at the Southside Baptist Church in Carrollton. He survives at the home.
Rosie was a Line Supervisor at Dexter Axel in Carrollton and had previously worked for Con Agra in Marshall, Missouri. She was a member of the Tina Baptist Church, Tina, Missouri.
Rosie is also survived by two children, Rocky Lawrence King, Carrollton, Missouri, Dawn Rochelle King, Carrollton, Missouri, one brother, Johnny Lee Allen, Carrollton, Missouri, five sisters, Betty Lou Simms, Carrollton, Missouri, Patricia Sue Bemboom, Slater, Missouri, Carolyn Joyce Long, Carrollton, Missouri, Mary Catherine Cowherd, Higginsville, Missouri, Vickie Jo Martin, Carrollton, Missouri and one granddaughter, Matti Rose King.
Her parents and one sister, Connie Jean Brumbaugh, preceded her in death.

Eugenia Margaret Albrecht a lifelong resident of Carrollton, Missouri passed away at Life Care Center in Carrollton, Mo. on July 8th, 2006.
Eugenia was born November 23, 1918 in Carrollton, Missouri to Ray E. and Alice Harrison Brooks. She was married to Herbert Albrecht on July 8th, 1939 in Carrollton, Mo. Herbert proceeded her in death on October 27th, 2004. She joined him in heaven on what would have been their 67th wedding anniversary. To this union three surviving children were born. Herbert Wayne Albrecht and his wife Shelly of Carrollton, Mo., Nancy Jean McKinney and husband Larry of Independence, Mo., and Jimmy Dale Albrecht and his wife Debbie of Carrollton Mo.
Seven grandchildren and their spouses. Michael Todd McKinney and his wife Julia of Gladstone Mo, Eric Lynn McKinney and his wife Gina, of Grain Valley, Mo, Tony Albrecht and his wife Debbie of Stet, Mo., Jennifer Geodeke and her husband' John of Standish, Mo., Tom Albrecht and Marla of Carrollton, Mo., Liza O'Neal and her husband Tim of Sedalia Mo., & Richard Albrecht of Carrollton, Mo.
Three step Grand Children, Jeff Walden and wife Kasey, Candace Luke, and Jean Ann Walden.

She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and both parents.
Eugenia spent most of her life working with service and social organizations. She was a 4-H Leader, a Member of St. Mary’s Alter Society, a member of Church Women United Clothing Center, The Mayview and Winfey Extension Clubs, and collected for the American Cancer Society a number of years.
She was the nursery attendant at the United Methodist Church for several years, and had many children who loved her there. She also volunteered with the reading program at the local elementary schools.
Eugenia was a homemaker and spent her early years babysitting and caring for children. In 1961 she went to work at F.M.Stampers in Carrollton, which would later become Banquet Foods. She worked there until her retirement in November 1981, giving 20 years of service.
Eugenia enjoyed gardening and had many beautiful flowers. She raised beautiful African Violets. She also loved animals and spent many happy years with Trixy and a very special little friend Itty Bitty.
Her greatest joys were her faith and her family.

Herald E. Keltner, age 98, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
Herald was born the first of six brothers and sisters on August 28, 1907 on a farm west of Carrollton, Missouri, to Oather and Ethel Elliott Keltner. He represents three generations of a family, which has lived in Carroll County for over a century. He graduated from Carrollton High School.
On April 15, 1933 he married Pauline Duff Kinnaird at the Baptist Parsonage in Carrollton, Missouri. She survives at the home. They had one daughter, Rose Marie, who was born January 14, 1938 and passed away October 30, 1953.
At the age of fourteen, Herald became a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and had played the organ there for over fifty years. He was also choir director for a time and was an ordained deacon of the church. At the time of his death he was Organist Emeritus. Herald was a student of Fern Olson with the Jenkins Music Company in Kansas City, Missouri and had been a demonstrator for Jenkins Music Company. He played in one of their concerts where six organs played simultaneously. He studied music and organ under composer and professor, Dr. Fickthorne at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. He entered the postal service on April 1, 1927; and is the first career postmaster appointee of Carrollton, having been appointed September 1, 1957, and confirmed July 16, 1958. Shortly after becoming postmaster, Mr. Keltner joined the National Association of Postmasters and served this organization in various ways. In 1963, Herald and Pauline were privileged to attend the first meeting of N.A.P.U.S. held in the new State of Hawaii at Honolulu. In 1964 the Keltners toured Europe with members of N.A.P.U.S. Herald served as president of N.A.P.U.S., Sixth District of Missouri in 1966-67. He had played a duet with Dino at the Grand Palace at Branson, Missouri and always willingly played for many clubs and organizations, including Governors and choirs. He was a lifetime member of the Carrollton Lions Club and the oldest living member of the Lion’s worldwide. He had served as president and had served as pianist for several Lion’s Club State Conventions and also began playing for the Carrollton Lions Club at the age of fourteen. He was also a lifetime member of the Carroll County Historical Society. He was a member of the Royal Arch Chapter of the Masons and Wakanda Lodge #52 AF & AM. He and his wife traveled extensively after retirement, visiting all fifty states and all continents except Australia.
One sister-in-law, Opal Keltner, Blue Springs, Missouri and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces, also survives Herald.
His parents, daughter, three brothers, Melvin, Gilbert in infancy, and Henry Keltner and two sisters, Violet Keltner and Velesta (Betty) Carey, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 14, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri, with Pastor Jeff Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be from 10-10:45 a.m. at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri before service time.

Lavondre Steven Brown, infant son of Goldie Faye Clark and Lavon Marta Brown was born on July 9, 2006 in Columbia, MO. Lavondre died on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at the Columbia Regional Hospital. He is survived by his parents of Brunswick, MO; maternal grandparents, Gina and Gary Sutton of Moberly, MO and Steven W. Clark of Keytesville, MO; paternal grandparents, Wilma Brown of Brunswick, MO and Thomas Williams of Columbia, MO; maternal great-grandparents, Elizabeth and Herbert Henderson of Independence, MO, Faye and Jim Blackwell of Salisbury, MO and Avis and Wilma Clark of Brunswick, MO; paternal great-grandparents, Joyce Williams and Herman John son of Triplett, MO; maternal great-great-grandparent, Larue McCollum of Salisbury, MO and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Frank and Della Brown, and Leonard Tatum. Graveside services were held in the Elliott Grove Cemetery at Brunswick, MO on Friday, July 14, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. Reverend Donald White officiated. Memorials may be made to the family. Melva M. Sherwood, 95, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 14, 2006, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
Melva was born April 27, 1911 near Norborne, Missouri, the daughter of Earnest and Clara Barclay Macoubrie. She received her elementary education in country schools, attended Bogard High School and graduated from Carrollton High School.
On March 22, 1930 Melva was married to Aubrey Sherwood in Carrollton, Missouri; he preceded her in death on August 30, 1988.
Melva was employed at Ferguson’s, Patterson’s, and John Minnis’ Ladies Ready To Wear Dress Stores and O’Bryan’s Jewelry Store in Carrollton.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church from 1930-2006, the Trotter Hustlers Club for 75 years, the Forum Club, the Garden Plus Club, and a Quilt Club.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald E. Sherwood and his wife, Ethelynn, Fountain Valley, California; one daughter, Marilyn Sherwood, Carrollton, Missouri; two sisters, Hazel Gardner, Carrollton, Missouri and Vanda Wegeng, Richmond, Missouri; two grandsons, Brian Sherwood and his wife, Lori, Carona, California and Mark Sherwood, Watsonville, California; three great-grandchildren, Gerald W. Sherwood, Morgan Sherwood, and Joshua Sherwood.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Macoubrie and Marvin Macoubrie her twin and one sister, Willoa Mills.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at the Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with the Reverend Rod McNeall officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. just prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri.

Maurice George Weisz, age 88, a Norborne, Missouri resident, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 24, 1917 in Norborne, Missouri, the son of Frank Joseph and Margaret McLaughlin Weisz. He attended Fairview School.
On January 31, 1940 he married Helen P. Katz in Norborne, Missouri. She preceded him in death on June 8, 2000.
Maurice was a farmer and had worked at O’Dell Motors in Carrollton. He had also worked for, and retired from, B. F. Kassen Motors in Norborne. He was a baptized a Catholic.
Maurice is survived by two children, Maurice Eldon (Bud) Weisz and wife Joyce, Oak Grove, Missouri, Judy Palmer and husband Gayle, Richmond, Missouri, six grandchildren, three he raised, Tammy Mertensmeyer and husband Wade, Norborne, Missouri, Amy Estep and husband Brett, Richmond, Missouri, Brian Shannon and wife, Kristy, Norborne, Missouri, Lisa Lewis, Bryon Weisz and Kevin Weisz, two step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
His parents, one brother, Charles Weisz and one sister, Clara K. Horst, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Norborne, Missouri, with Reverend Bruce Trussell officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 9- 9:45 a.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Melvin Otto Ervin Heil, age 92, of Norborne, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
He was born December 21, 1913 in Norborne, Missouri, the son of Karl (Charlie) and Agnes Strathman Heil. He attended Norborne Lutheran and public Schools.
On January 20, 1937 he was married to Clara Maria Charlotte Wiechert at the Lutheran Parsonage in Carrollton by Reverend Otto Graebner. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2000.
Melvin had been a farmer and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Norborne, Missouri. He had held various church offices and was a past President of the Norborne Land Drainage Board; he had served as President on the Norborne Rural Fire Protection and was a member of the Ray-Carroll Board.
Melvin is survived by one son, Nelson Heil and wife Ann, Norborne, Missouri, one daughter, Martha Clevenger and husband Kenneth, Norborne, Missouri, five grandchildren, Gary Clevenger and wife Tina, Kearney, Missouri, Sherri Glenn and husband Keith, Kearney, Missouri, Becky Clariday and husband Chris, Hardin, Missouri, Chris Heil and wife Debbie, Norborne, Missouri, Karen Meyer and husband Jeff, Kearney, Missouri, and ten great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Olga Shieldmeyer, one brother at the age of 4, Walter Heil, and one granddaughter, Kimberly Heil, in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 10:30 a.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Norborne, Missouri, with Pastor Kim Scharff officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 31, 2006 from 7-8:00 p.m., at Gibson Funeral Home, Norborne, Missouri.

Fannie Louise Owens Shankle, age 85, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
She was born August 22, 1920 in Carroll County, Missouri, the daughter of Peyton Franklin and Nettie Irene Vinson Owens. She graduated from Carrollton High School.
On December 23, 1951 she married Elbert Stanley Shankle in Carrollton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2002.
Louise was a loving mother and housewife. She was a member of the Carrollton Church of Christ. Louise had been employed as a bookkeeper for PAG and the Farm Bureau. She had been a Deputy Clerk of the Carroll County Court working under Evelyn Kinker and Howard Payne, and had been a collector for Trotter Township.
Louise is survived by three children, Mary Ellen Houseworth and husband Andy, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Ernest Shankle and wife Wanda, Carrollton, Missouri, Elouise Hager, Higginsville, Missouri, one brother, Nelson F. Owens and wife Geneive, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, seven grandchildren, Jeremy Houseworth, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Bradley Houseworth, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Cassandra Houseworth, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Ginny Sheets, Warrensburg, Missouri, Kennen Hager, Lexington, Missouri, Buddy Hager, Naples, Florida, Stephen Hager, Higginsville, Missouri and eight great grandchildren.
Her parents also preceded her in death.

Jetta Sue Dockstader, 64, of Brunswick, MO died on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at her home.
She was born on April 30, 1942 at Chanute, KS the daughter of Melvin E. and Doris Jean Freeman Church. On July 1, 1943 Jetta and her mother moved to California. She later met Leonard Dockstader and was married to him on September 13, 1959 at Norwalk, CA. Leonard survives her at the home. In January of 1994 Leonard and Jetta retired and moved to Brunswick, MO. Jetta became involved with the Pecan Festival were she had served as Secretary, Vice President and President. Jetta also had worked on the St. Patty Day Parade, she helped with the food for Friendship Wheel and had worked with the Lion’s Club for three years. She was a member of the David Foggin Club, the Brunswick Baptist Beacon Class and the Brunswick Home Maker’s Club. She is also survived by three sons, Steven Dockstader and his wife Mary of Brunswick, MO, David Dockstader and his wife Debbie of Redmond, WA and Larry Dockstader of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Diane Thompson of Chillicothe, MO; three brothers, Kenneth Church of Chillicothe, MO, Wesley Church of southern, MO and Terry Mayfield of Chanute, KS one sister-in-law Ruth Giffan and her husband Leo; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Jetta was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Fred James and two brothers, Richard and Robert Church. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 11:30 A.M. in the Elliott Grove Cemetery at Brunswick, MO. Reverend Wendell Turner officiated. Christine Shields, age 74, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2006 at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born January 12, 1932 in Carroll County, Missouri, the daughter of Henry and Thelma Ashby Ahnefeld. She attended Carrollton schools.
On May 17, 1975 she married Larry Shields in Kansas City, Missouri. He survives at the home.
Christine had been employed as a dietitian with Carroll County Memorial Hospital for ten years and had worked at Banner Biscuit Company in Carrollton. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church of Carrollton.
Christine is also survived by three children, Karen Oser and husband Dale, Carrollton, Missouri, Kenneth Higgins and wife Gerri, Warrensburg, Missouri, Keith Higgins and wife Jana, Carrollton, Missouri, two step children, Donna Martin and husband Jerry, Oak Grove, Missouri, Cindy Jones and husband Bill, Bosworth, Missouri, one brother, Harold Ahnefeld and wife Inez, Carrollton, Missouri, one sister, Marie Kelb and husband Clayton, Carrollton, Missouri, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will lie in state from 1-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 and from 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 until service time at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Robert Harvey Lowrance, of Sedalia, MO, died August 8, 2006 after a brief illness. Mr. Lowrance was born in Carrollton, MO November 12, 1929. He was the son of Catherine Gillespie Lowrance and John Harvey Lowrance. He attended Carrollton High School and was a captain of the football team in 1947. He served in the United States Army, honorably discharged in 1950. He was a dental technician and for 60 years he helped thousands of people by making attractive good fitting dentures. He was an avid movie collector and football fan and loved the MU tigers and the Kansas City Chiefs. He is survived by his wife, Luann of Sedalia, MO; his children, daughter Patricia Lowrance Kettle Khan of Houston, TX; son Robert Richard Lowrance of Tifton, GA; daughter Leah Lowrance of Sedalia, MO; grand-daughters Kristina Kettle Feely of Spring, TX and Megan Kettle of Houston, TX; grandsons Lucien Kettle of Houston, TX; Camden Lowrance and Morgan Lowrance of Tifton, GA; sister Lucy Beard and her husband Raymond Beard of Bogard, MO, and his sister-in law Jane Lowrance of Universal City, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Margaret Kloeppel and his brother John G. Lowrance. Kimberly Williams, age 46, of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 14, 2006 at Moberly Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 12, 1960 the daughter of Elmer Leonard and Priscilla Williams Tatum. She graduated from Northwestern High School. She was a Baptist. Kimberly was employed with the Brunswick Nursing Home.
Kimberly is survived by her mother, Priscilla, Triplett, Missouri, three daughters, Tanika Williams and Nikkya Williams, both of Columbia, Missouri, Carly Williams, Brunswick, Missouri, fourteen brothers and sisters, Celesta Mays, Clinton, Missouri, Vaneita McDonald, Raytown, Missouri, Lutrissia Williams, Columbia, Missouri, Stefan Williams, Columbia, Missouri, Cassandra Williams, Columbia, Missouri, Vincent Williams, Clinton, Missouri, Rosalind Tatum, Garland, Texas, Charlotte Tatum, State of Kansas, Elmer Leonard Tatum, Jr., Dalton, Missouri, Broderick Tatum, Las Vegas, Nevada, Orval Walter Tatum, Las Vegas, Nevada, Vanessa Tatum, Columbia, Missouri, Jason Tatum, Kansas City, Missouri, Patricia Cason, State of Kansas, Tyrell Brown, Columbia, Missouri, Tauriea Williams, Columbia, Missouri and six grandchildren.
Her father preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2006 at the Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri with Reverend Donald White officiating. Burial will be in Dalton Cemetery, Dalton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 12-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Anna L. Robinson, age 58, of Slater, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.
She was born September 27, 1947 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of Lewis Hadley and Mary Lou Miles Alexander. She graduated from Carrollton High School and graduated from the Chillicothe Beauty School.
On August 18, 1993 she married Rufus Robinson at the Church of God in Chillicothe, Missouri. He survives at the home.
Anna was a licensed Beautician and a CNA. She was a member of the Church of God In Christ Church, Kansas City, Missouri, where she served as a District Missionary and Evangelist. She had been President of Women Coming Together In Unity and a Sunday school teacher.
Anna is also survived by her mother, Mary Lou McCoy, Carrollton, Missouri, one son, Fred Liddell, Carrollton, Missouri, two daughters, Cynthia Harlow, Columbia, Missouri, Janae McCarry, State of California, two brothers, Jimmy Alexander, Las Vegas, Nevada, James Bradford Winfrey, one sister, Cheryl Alexander, Columbia, Missouri, twenty-two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Her father, one granddaughter and her stepfather, Mac McCoy, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2006 at the Virginia Street Baptist Church, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Brenda Smith and Reverend L. O. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Ruth A. Atkinson, age 85, of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at her home.
She was born April 17, 1921 in Brunswick, Missouri, the daughter of Edwin Albert and Dovie Parks Neidholdt. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1941. She was a former member of the Fairview Christian Church in Gladstone, Missouri and now a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Brunswick, Missouri.
On June 14, 1947 she married John Roy Atkinson in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1998. Ruth had worked as a bookkeeper for Parmalee Plastics and Cramer Chair in Kansas City, Missouri. She had also been an automotive parts buyer for Whitaker Cable in Kansas City. She had lived in Gladstone until 1999 when she moved to Brunswick. She spent the winter months in Harlingen, Texas with her daughter’s family. She was a member of the Shriner’s auxiliary.
Ruth is survived by one daughter, Deborah Claire Atkinson Baker and husband Scott who reside in San Benito, Texas, she has three grandchildren, Melody Rose Baker, Dorothy Louise Baker and Maxfield Sheridan Atkinson Baker.
Her parents also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2006 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Brunswick, Missouri, with Pastor Glen Drewitz officiating. Burial will be in Keytesville City Cemetery, Keytesville, Missouri.
The body will lie in state on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 1-5:00 p.m. at Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 9-10:00 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the church.
