Averil Lelah Knipschild West passed away October 14, 2006 at the Ray County Hospital in Richmond, Missouri.
She was born July 18, 1909 in Norborne, Missouri the daughter of Fredrick and Wilhelmina Stemple Knipschild, next to the youngest of eleven children. There were seven brothers, Jacob, Earl, Lawton, Alford, Bedford, James and Elfton: three sisters, Mabel Smith, Ethel Etzenhouser and Iva Earp. They and seven of their spouses preceded Averil in death.
During her youth, she often shared the home of an older sister and her family, having attended schools in Kansas, Utah and California. She returned to Norborne and graduated from Norborne High School with the class of 1927; where she met her future husband, Clarence (Chuck) West, who preceded her in death on August 25, 1972. To this union four children were born, Bette (West) Newton, Samuel, Robert and James West. Samuel was stricken with polio during the epidemic of 1946 and preceded his parents in death in 1950 at the age of 15. Bette’s husband Wayne Newton also preceded Averil in death in 1999, and Jim’s wife Mary also preceded Averil in death in 2005.
Survivors include Bette Newton, Robert and Cathy West, James West; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, spouses of some grandchildren and sister-in-law, Mabel Knipschild and many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.
Averil was formerly a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Aucourant Club and the Library Board. She had been an active member since 1931 of the United Methodist Church of Norborne, Missouri, having taught Sunday School classes for 60 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Rod McNeall officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Eric Paul McNiece, age 86, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Saturday October 14, 2006 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
Paul was born September 19, 1920 in Tremont, Mississippi, the son of Eric A. and Arvilla Silas Mc Niece. He attended school in Tremont, Mississippi.
On April 12, 1941 he was married to Dorothy Borden in Maquoketa, Iowa. She survives at the home.
Paul was retired from Banner Biscuit Company where he was a foreman. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Carrollton, Missouri, Carrollton V.F.W. Post 1773, and a Charter member of the Carrollton Country Club. He served his Country as a member of the United States Army during World War II.
Paul is also survived by a daughter Marla Dillon and husband Michael of Marshall, Missouri, one sister-in-law Jerri McNiece of Carrollton, Missouri , one grand daughter Diane Blevins, Lawton, Oklahoma, and five great grandchildren, Jeremy, Brittany, Lindsey, Loren and Jasen Gluck, two nieces and two nephews.
Two brothers L.D. and Garvin Mc Niece, an infant sister, a grandson Jeffery Allen Dillon, and a great grandson Zachary Chance Gluck also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Willie Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 before the service.

Our Heavenly Father called his child Ruby Pearl Brown Harman to be by his side on Saturday October 14, 2006 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Mo. She was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. Her beautiful smile, loving touch, wisdom and generosity have touched so many and will be forever remembered in our hearts.
Ruby was born July 13, 1921 in Miami Station, Mo. to Edward and Bertha Mitchell Brown. She spent her childhood in Wakenda, Mo where she attended grade school and high school. Her life was devoted to the Lord and her family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Carrollton. She was employed by St. Mary’s Catholic school for 7 years, Detreich school for 2 years, and 25 years for St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
On January 29, 1938 she married Lester Leroy Harman in Carrollton, Mo. and to this marriage, the Lord blessed them with 15 children, 58 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She will be truly missed by her family; Jim & Lois Harman of Kearney, Mo; Larry & Shirley Harman of Carrollton, Mo; Bill & Donna Harman of Joplin, Mo; Bud & Linda Harman of Kearney, Mo; Bob & Judy Harman of Excelsior Springs, Mo; Tom & Nancy Harman of Independence, Mo; John Harman of Liberty, Mo; Jerry & Barb Harman of Marshall, Mo; Mick & Rita Harman of Independence, Mo; Pete & Carol Harman of Carrollton, Mo; Patty Appleberry of Hardin, Mo; Mary & Richie Robinson of Liberty, Mo; Rita & Jim Appleberry of Carrollton, Mo; Jo & Bob Johnson of Olathe, Ks; Loretta & Donnie Basse of Carrollton, Mo; along with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews, who will forever remember the love, devotion and inspiration of this terrific woman.
She will be greeted at the gates of heaven by her husband Lester who preceded her in death May 15, 1994; her parents Edward and Bertha; granddaughter Melissa Hartman; great-granddaughter Abidale Harman; brothers Arthur, Ernest and Harold Brown; sisters Opal Brown, Alta Lee Fugia and Sarah Feast; and son-in-law Harold Appleberry.
A memorial funeral service will be held Wednesday , October 18 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carrollton. Visitation with the family will be held between 2:00-2:30 followed by the rosary. Memorial funeral mass will be held at 3:00 pm conducted by Father Criqui with grave side services to follow at the St. Mary’s cemetery in Carrollton.

Laura Gayle Welchon, age 55, of Bosworth, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2006.
She was born August 4, 1951 in Wray, Colorado, the daughter of Walter W. and Laveda Tietjens Wright. She graduated from Hale High School in 1969.
On August 9, 1969 she married Lonnie D. O’Dell. To this union two children were born, James Kyle O’Dell and Patrick Kirk O’Dell. She married Robert Ivan Welchon in 1992. He survives at the home.
Laura was a member of the Bosworth Christian Church. She was a loving wife and homemaker.
She is survived by her sons, James, of Richmond, Missouri, Patrick of Bosworth, Missouri, her mother, Laveda Wright, Hale, Missouri, two brothers, Jay Tietjens, Holt, Missouri, David Wright, Bosworth, Missouri, two sisters, Pattie Jo Burton, Hale, Missouri, Sarah Bell, Waverly, Kansas, one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Isabelle O’Dell, Bosworth, Missouri and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents, Walter and Irene Tietjens, maternal grandparents, Lewis and Everlyn VanDeventer, uncles, Robert D. Tietjens and Jack Lee Tietjens.
There will be cremation and no services.

John Milton Mauzey, 75, of Benton, TN and formerly of Mendon, MO died on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at a hospital in Knoxville, TN. He was born on January 2, 1931 at Brunswick, MO the son of John and Mary Dixie Harris Mauzey. He served his country as a member of the US Air Force. He had been a farmer. He was a charter member of the Mendon Lion’s Club and a member of the Benton United Methodist Church in Benton, TN. He is survived by his wife Ellen Best Mauzey of the home; three sons and their spouses: Steve and Laura Mauzey of Boonville, MO, Larry and Jane Mauzey of Erwin, TN and Randy Mauzey of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren: Ryan and Rachel Mauzey of Boonville, MO; two brothers: his twin brother, William Maurice Mauzey and his wife Mary Frances, and Kenneth Earl Mauzey and his wife Tessa, all of Mendon, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Mendon United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Richard Casady officiating. Burial will be in the Mendon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry, Ryan, Richard and Mike Mauzey, Kurt Herman and Robert Kistler. Charles William Strathman, age 72, of Norborne, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 19, 1934 in Norborne, Missouri, the son of Charles and Alwena Thate Strathman. He graduated from Norborne High School. He was a United States Army Veteran. He had farmed his entire life in the Norborne area and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Norborne.
Two nephews, Dan Hamann, Kansas City, Missouri, Mark Hamann, Harrisonville, Missouri and one great niece, Stephanie Hamann, Kansas City, Missouri, survive Charles.
His parents and one sister, Melba Hamann, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Gibson Funeral Home, Norborne, Missouri, with Pastor Kim Scharff officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 10-10:45 a.m., on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Bonnie Endicott, age 74, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Carondolet Manor.
Bonnie was born August 1, 1932 in Wakenda, Missouri, the daughter of Ed and Frieda Huffman Callihan. She graduated from Wakenda High School. She was a loving housewife and mother. She was a Baptist.
On December 12, 1951 she married Vergil Roy Endicott in North Kansas City, Missouri. He survives at the home.
She is also survived by one son, Bud and wife Madonna, Independence, Missouri, one brother, Gordon Endicott, State of Missouri, a half brother, Austin Callahan, Kansas City, Kansas and one granddaughter, Julie Ann Endicott.
Her parents, three brothers, Benny, Donald and Jimmy Callihan, and one sister, Wanella Endicott, preceded Bonnie in death.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Big Adkins Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Brett Daily officiating.

Hunter Wyatt Dunn, infant son of Jamie and Christy Crawford Dunn, passed away Friday, November 10, 2006 at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Missouri.
He is survived by three brothers, Jamison Dunn, Cordell and Gabriel Cooper and one sister, Abigail Dunn, maternal grandparents, Bill and Lori Crawford, Carrollton, Missouri, paternal grandparents, Joe and Betty Dunn, great grandparents, James and Bonita Zimmerman, William, Sr. and Barbara Crawford.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Powell Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Ken Prewitt officiating.

Margaret S. McDonald, age 85, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 2, 1921 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of Alva and Harriett Samuels Scott. She graduated from Carrollton High School. She married Charles Paul McDonald who preceded her in death.
Margaret was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carrollton, Missouri and St. Mary’s Altar Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Colonial Dames.
One daughter, Deborah Polito and husband Thomas, Marietta, Georgia, survive Margaret.
Her parents and three brothers, Bud, Sam and Joe Scott, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11:15 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carrollton, with Reverend Ken Criqui officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carrollton. Visitation was held prior to the service at the church.

Laura Frances Hawkins Brock, age 94, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the Holiday Resort in Emporia, Kansas.
She was born September 4, 1912, in the Rockingham Community of Ray County, Missouri to David M. and Elizabeth Frances Rhodes Hawkins. She attended country schools and graduated from Central High School north of Hardin in 1931.
On July 3, 1940 she was married to Irvin F. Brock in Trenton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1968. Laura was a member of the Rockingham Church of the Brethren and also attended the Southside Baptist Church of Carrollton. She was a cook at the Bogard School for fourteen years.
She was employed by Banquet Foods for fourteen years before retiring. She babysat in her home for several years.
Laura is survived by one son, James Ray Brock and wife Kerin, Admire, Kansas, two granddaughters, Lisa Elsasser and husband Bill, O’Fallon, Illinois, Amy Brock, Smithville, Missouri, one sister, Irene Miller, Carrollton, Missouri, two step grandchildren, Brian Wilhite and wife Suzanne, Brandy McGuire and husband Buggy, three great grandchildren, Jessica, Kaitlyn and Brock Detherow, seven step great grandchildren, Kailee, Ryder and Molly McGuire, Jade Wilhite, Gretchen Truax and husband John, Erik Elsasser, Beka Elsasser, one step great great grandchild, Hayden Truax.
Her parents, four brothers, Willard, Fred, Lloyd, and Marvin Hawkins and three sisters, Kathryn Rinehart, Velma Stephens and Pauline Boyer, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Bill Jones officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bogard, Missouri.
Visitation was from 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Wilbur G. Beeler, age 81 of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 17, 2006 at his home.
He was born November 5, 1925 in Miami Station, Missouri, the son of Henry and Maude P. Cunningham Beeler. He attended De Witt Grade and Carrollton Schools.
On December 9, 1972 he married Maretta Scott at the Church of the Nazarene in Carrollton, Missouri by the Reverend Joe Winstead. She survives at the home.
Wilbur was a member of the United States Army, and retired March 31, 1964. He was a mechanic and worked for Anderson International for 22 years. He attended the Baptist Church most of his life. Wilbur was a member of Solomon Masonic Lodge #822 Stuttgart, Germany, Past Master of Wakanda Lodge # 52 AF&AM, Past Patron O.E.S. Carrollton, Missouri, Pence-Lovell-England V.F.W. Post #1773 Carrollton, Missouri.
Wilbur is also survived by two sister-in-laws: Carol Scott, Phoenix, Arizona, Connie McDaniel, Marshall, Missouri, 1 brother Rolland Beeler, Bosworth, Missouri, 2 sisters, Wanda Wright, Carrollton, Missouri, Alma Ford, Kansas City, Kansas, a half-brother Ervil Mann, Carrollton, Missouri, and a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
His parents one brother, Ervin Beeler and two sisters, Marjorie in infancy and Helen Brown preceded Wilbur in death.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, with Reverend Bert Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, DeWitt, Missouri; with Military Services by Rucker-McAlister American Legion, Brunswick Missouri.
Visitation will be 6:00p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2006 with Masonic Services at 7:30p.m. at the Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Charlotte Lucille Miller, 75, a former Triplett, Missouri resident died on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Life Care Center of Brookfield. She was born on October 18, 1931 at Vancouver, Washington the daughter of George and Lucille Seller Tooley.
She was married to Charles Miller, Sr. on June 16, 1957 at Vancouver, Washington. Charles preceded her in death in 1986. Charlotte had been a homemaker and a waitress.
She was a Catholic. She is survived by four sons, Frank Jr. and George Miller both of Triplett, MO, David Miller of Pueblo, CO and Raymond Miller of Cheyenne, WY; five daughters, Juanita Winnett of Flippin, AR, Darline Reekes of St. Joseph, AR, Charlene Buxton of Cheyenne, WY, Sheryl Pierce of Redmond, CA and Mary Lou Buxton of Portland, OR; two brothers, John Tooley of Portland, OR and Bobby Tooley of Calamus Corners, OR; two sisters, Beverley Tooley of Portland, OR and Marcie Sharp of Crescent City, CA and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charlotte was preceded in death by one daughter, Rose Marie Buxton and one brother, Louis Tooley. Memorial Services will be held at the Brunswick Baptist Church on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. Reverend Kenneth Tounzen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frank Miller, Jr. Cremation arrangements were by the Gibson Funeral Home at Brunswick, MO.

Carolyn Jean Himes, age 57 of Santa Monica California, passed away Tuesday November 21, 2006 at Arbor View Wellness Center.
She was born May 27. 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Merlin H. and Veleta Jones Himes. She graduated from Arcadia High School, and Phoenix College, in Phoenix AZ.
She retired from Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, was a Genealogist doing Research for Special Projects. She did Stamp Collecting, love to travel, Fishing, and NASCAR Racing. She was a Volunteer for City Bus Advisory Meetings, “Senior Friends” of Santa Monica, taught Genealogy Classes and was a Hospital Volunteer in Phoenix for six years. She was a Baptist.
One brother Gary Himes and wife Debra of Gilbert, Arizona, two Nephews survive Carolyn.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 11:00a.m. at Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton, with Reverend Bruce Trussell officiating. Burial was in Van Horn Cemetery in Bogard, Missouri. Visitation was held prior to the service at the Gibson Funeral Home.

Zelma Lucile Reimer passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born January 20, 1921 in Carroll County, the daughter of Clarence James and Zelma Lee Howell Chapman. She attended Crispin School. She married Alvin Herman Wilhelm Reimer on November 4, 1941 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Carrollton, Missouri. He preceded her in death. Lucile was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Carrollton, Missouri, and resided in Carroll County her entire life.
She is survived by a son, Terry Lynn Reimer and wife Staci, and a daughter, Darla Kay Snider and husband Doc, both of Carrollton, Missouri, a brother, Clarence J. Chapman, Jr., of Carrollton, Missouri. Six Grandchildren: Tina Lewis and husband Scott of Bosworth, Missouri, Bart Houseworth and wife Julie, Fulton, Missouri, Chad Snider and wife Karla, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Christal Cowan and husband Ron, Carrollton, Missouri, Lauren Reimer and Devin Reimer, of Carrollton, Missouri, Seven Great-Grandchildren , and several Nieces and Nephews.
Her parents, an infant son, Gary Dwain Reimer, two sisters, Irene Duff and Evelyn Johnson, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be on Friday, November 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Carrollton, Missouri, with Pastor Eric Swyres officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45A.M. at the church.

Elton Dougherty Midyett, 81, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away on November 27, 2006 at Carroll House Nursing Home in Carrollton, Missouri following a long illness after a stroke on August 2003.
He was born March 12, 1925 on a farm near Tina, Missouri, to the late Wilbur Clayton Midyett and Lucile Dougherty Midyett. He attended Iron Clad and Bridge Creek rural schools and graduated from Hale High School in 1943.
On February 11, 1944 he married his high school sweetheart Eula Marie Lyons. Fourteen days later he left to serve in the Army Air Force in World War II until May 1946. Elton had preflight training in Texas, Keesler Field, Mississippi and Air Crewman College Training, Mobile, Alabama. Later when the Air Force had too many pilots he was sent to Scott Field, Illinois for training as a radio operator, mechanic and assistant engineer on C-46 and C-47 planes. He was then assigned to the 21st Troop Carrier Squadron and sent to the Philippines.
After his discharge in 1946 he farmed near Mendon, Missouri. In 1948 he purchased a farm near Bosworth and built the first elevated dairy barn in Missouri and operated a Grade A dairy farm for 10 years. In addition, in 1954 he was an agent for United Farm Real Estate and M.F.A. Insurance in Bosworth, Missouri. In 1958 he and his family moved to Carrollton and he continued Real Estate and Insurance as an Independent agent until his retirement in 1987. Elton was very active in farm real estate traveling in the Midwest from Texas to Minnesota in his private plane. In the 1970's he formed a partnership with Chester Tatlow, known as Mid-Low Construction Company. They built the first "Wendy's" in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
At an early age Elton joined the Baptist Church, Hale, Missouri, and when he moved to Carrollton he became a member of the First Baptist Church, Carrollton. He was past Master and a 50 year member of the Bosworth Masonic Lodge, past President of the local Shrine club, member of the Ararat Shrine, Kansas City, York Rite, past President of the Central Missouri Real Estate Board, life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Pence-Lovell-England Post #1773 and former member of the local Lions Club.
After his retirement he and Eula enjoyed traveling, collecting fine pocket watches and going to the farm to drive his tractor. He was always interested in other people and enjoyed visiting with clients and friends and trading stories. His life was abruptly changed after his stroke. With the loving care of his wife and compassionate caretaker Pam McNicol, he was able to live at home for 2-1/2 years. He especially enjoyed being independent, and traveling around the neighborhood on his motorized wheelchair. Because of his deteriorating condition in July 2006 he became a resident of Carroll House Nursing Home, where he received excellent care.
Elton was a loving husband and father and very proud of his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife, of over 62 years; sons, Judge Michael Midyett, Keytesville, Missouri; Mark Midyett and wife Linda, Sarasota, Florida; daughters Sharon Lock and husband Don, Carrollton and Jane Price, Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Matthew Lock and Kelly Lock, Carrollton; Keaton and Sarah Price, Dallas; Kelsey and Christian Midyett, Sarasota; great grandchildren Gracie and Maggie Utlaut, Carrollton; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
His parents and brother Kenneth preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Pastor Jeff Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Hale, Missouri, with Military Services provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Pence-Lovell-England Post #1773, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with a Masonic Service at 8:00 p.m.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Baptist Children’s Home or the Shriner’s Hospital in memory of Mr. Midyett. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.

Dean Cherry, age 79, of Norborne, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the Carrollton Life Care Center.
He was born October 21, 1927 in the Roads community in Carroll County, Missouri, the son of Jesse Edward and Vira May Haughton Cherry. He attended Burr Oak grade school and graduated from Stet High School. He attended Methodist churches and had followed the occupation of farming.
Survivors include one nephew, Dennis Nienke and one niece, Retha Peery, both of Kansas City, Missouri.
His parents, one sister, Dorothy Nell Nienke and two brothers, Victor and Gene Cherry, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2006 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Stet, Missouri, with Reverend Bert Hughes officiating.
Visitation will be from 1-1:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Olivet Cemetery in memory of Mr. Cherry. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.

Christina Willis age 81, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born July 13, 1925 in Miami Station, Missouri, the daughter of Robert A. and Alice Walden Wright. She graduated from El Monte Union High School in El Monte, California.
Christina married Lyman Willis on January 31, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2002.
Christina was a member of the First Christian Church of Miami, Missouri. She and Lyman had owned and operated an automotive repair business where she was bookkeeper. She had also worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Everett L. Smith in Carrollton.
She is survived by one son, Wayne Willis and wife Candy, Vandalia, Missouri, two brothers, Leland Wright, State of California, Raymond Wright, Wheatland, Missouri, three sisters, Nora Long, Independence, Missouri, Doris Dooley, Carrollton, Missouri, Bonnie Howard, Hermitage, Missouri, two grandsons, one granddaughter and four great grandchildren and special neighbors and friends Danny Brooks and Dee Goetting.
Her parents, one brother, Robert Wright and one daughter in infancy, Carolyn Sue, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 4, 2006 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Lanny Lybarger officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, DeWitt, Missouri.
Visitation was prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Relay for Life in memory of Mrs. Willis. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
