With much sorrow we announce the passing of Stan on Wednesday September 1, 2010 at St. Anthony's Hospital. Beloved husband and best friend of Zonamae (nee West) for 41 years; Dear son of the late William and Dorothy Quick; Loving father and friend of Rene and her husband, Sean Dulle; Devoted grandfather of Joel Dulle; Dear brother of Jerry (Debbie) Quick; Dear step-brother of Greg (Betty) Wapelhorst and Judy (Jack) Neiman; Dear brother-in-law of Guy West and Betsy West.
Stan was born and raised in the St. Louis area, and worked as a mechanic and master technician at Lou Fusz Toyota for 35 years; he also served a majority of that time as a trusted shop steward for IAM Local Lodge 777. After retiring in 2007, he visited often to see his friends, and of course, to help his grandson sell candy bars for cub scouts.
Stan enjoyed life; everyone that knew Stan knew how much he loved Colorado, the great outdoors, a good dessert, soft toilet paper, and especially, a good laugh! His love for nature, fishing, deer hunting, and patience with anyone wanting to learn, inspired others to love the outdoors, too. Stan also cultivated beautiful gardens at home and took pride in his home grown vegetables. Stan will likely be remembered most by his willingness to help others without expecting anything in return. He never met a stranger, nor judged anyone by their appearance.
His immediate family is grateful for the outpouring of love shown by the hundreds of family and friends that visited during his final weeks. Stan had great integrity, outstanding optimism, and a love for life, so at his request, there will be no visitation, only celebration.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fenton, MO (Hwy 141) on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 3:00-3:30 pm, followed by a BBQ and Celebration of Stan's life at the home of Rene and Sean Dulle, 755 View Drive (off Saline Road) in Fenton. OVERMANN, Rev. William J.
Fortified by the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church. Reverend William John Overmann, age 74, passed away on the feast of Our Lady of La Salette Sept. 19, 2010 at Our Mother of Good Counsel in St. Louis, MO.
Father Bill, was the son of the late Henry Francis and Estelle Marie (Fechter) Overmann he was a native of St. Louis.
He entered La Salette Seminary in 1949 and was ordained a priest in 1962. For the next forty-eight years he served in many parishes in Iowa, Michigan, Louisiana and Illinois, first as a Missionary of Our Lady of La Salette and, since 1986, as a priest in the diocese of Springfield, IL.
He is survived by two sisters, Rosemarie (Stuart) Merchant; Carolyn (Chester) Southard; two brothers, Mark (Barbara) Overmann; Richard (Christine) Overmann; one aunt, Lorraine Birkemeier many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 207 E. Walnut, Robinson, IL 62454 on Fri 9/24 from 3PM to 8 PM and Sat 9/25 from 9:30 to 10:15 AM. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM

Dora Allyne Presley, 86
Died: June 24, 2010, in Springfield, Missouri
Dora Allyne Presley nee Kirby, 86, passed away June 24, 2010 at Magnolia Square Nursing Home in Springfield, Mo. She was born in Higginsville, Mo. but lived the majority of her life with family and friends in Maplewood, Mo. St. Louis County. Allyne (as known by her friends) grew up with her sister Mary Kirby Kaintz, and parents Foy and Ella Kirby in their home on Woodland Ave.
She graduated from Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School in 1941 and worked as a secretary in St. Louis.
She met her future husband, Sgt. Aubra (Curly) Presley were married in August of 1943 and after the War made their home in Maplewood. They started a family in 1947 with Douglas (died shortly after birth), Stephen in 1949 and Janet in 1953. Meanwhile Aubra joined the Maplewood Police force and started a small trucking company.
When the kids went to school, Allyne went to work at Valley Elementary School as the secretary to the Principal. She served 40 years in the MRH school district and was most proud of her time as secretary to the Superintendent of Schools and Board Secretary. A loving wife and dedicated mother, her whole life revolved around her family.
Allyne is preceded in death by her infant son Douglas, her parents Foy and Ella Kirby, her husband Aubra, her daughter Janet Handley and her sister Mary Kaintz. She is survived by her son Steve Presley, his wife Jackie Coons Presely, her former son-in-law Robert Handley and her childhood friend Vera Litzau.
Allyne has 4 grandchildren Gina Handley Wise, Sam Presely, Katie Handley Wright, Dan Presely and 4 great Grandchildren.
