She is survived by three sisters, Esther Clarke of Farmington, Eleanore Allen of the state of Texas, Josephine Daggett of the state of Michigan and a brother Roy Clark of Farmington. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Wrozier was a member of the Knob Lick Church of God. She owned a restaurant in the Farmington area for several years.

David Clinton

David Odell Clinton of Farmington passed away November 30, 2002, at his residence at the age of 50 years. He was born June 16, 1952, at Bismarck to Fran (Greenlee) Justice and the late David G. Clinton. He was also preceded in death by a son, David, and by a sister, Virginia Lee.

Mr. Clinton was a senior baker for the Wal-Mart Supercenter at Farmington. He joined the First Baptist Church in 1970. During the Vietnam War, he served his nation in the U.S. Army.

He was united in marriage on December 12, 1970, to Dianna (Bannister) Clinton, who survives. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by a son, Markus and wife Andrea of Doe Run, a daughter, Tracy (Mrs. Jimmy) Francis of Farmington, two brothers, Billy Ray and wife Barbara of Viburnum and Bruce of the State of Alabama, a sister, Beverly Earley of Parrish, AL, and six grandchildren, Lauren, Nathaniel, Madison and Connor Francis, and Markus and Suede Clinton. Many other relatives also survive.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, at the Cozean Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Cozean Chapel, with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc., or to the American Cancer Society.

Freeda May Burkett

Freeda Mae (Freeman) Burkett was born on April 19, 1916, at Dressy, TX, the daughter of the late William Macon and Alice (Campbell)Freeman. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, J.T., Carl and Eldon Freeman, and two sisters, Opal Willis and Clairene Edgar. In the early 50's Freeda assumed her favorite role in life she became "mother" to her orphaned niece, Karen Sitzer. Freeda devoted herself to Karen, her family, her church-Burkett Church of Christ, her job and her community. She married Virgil Burkett on March 10, 1979, and became an instant mother of 4 children and grandmother to 9. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Burkett of Park Hills, a sister, Celeste Young of Arlington, TX, two-step-sons, Robert Burkett and wife Janet of Park Hills and William Burkett and wife Phyllis of Florissant, two step-daughters, Rayma (Mrs. Bill) Golden of Desloge and Betty Carter of Pevley, many step-grandchildren and great-step-grandchildren, two nieces, Karen (Sitzer) Garland of New Braunfels, TX and Cindy Meyers of Arlington, TX. Other nieces and nephews also survive.

She graduated from high school at Cross Plains, TX and she attended Cisco Junior College. Freeda moved to Burkett and began working for the U.S. Postal Service, where she served as Postmaster for over 30 years.

Freeda was active in Postal Associations, Community Center activites, the March of Dimes and the Burkett Cemetery Association. Additionally, she served both the Coleman and Cross Plains Newspapers as their local correspondent. After retirement, Virgil and Freeda enjoyed traveling each year through-out the U.S.traveling with the Good Sam's Tour Clubs and other friends, and spending time in Missouri with Virgil's family. In 1999 with Alzheimers Disease stealing her memories and ability to care for her home and family, she and Virgil moved to Missouri and lived until her death.

All of Freeda's family and friends will miss her energy and enthusiasm for life. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Alzheimers Association or to the American Heartland Hospice.

Essie Naomi Boyd

She is survived by a son, John Boyd and wife Carmen of Coffman, by four daughters, Dorris (Mrs. Harold) Stuart, Naomi (Mrs. Leslie) Nicholson, both of Farmington, Norma (Mrs. Tom) Hodges of Cuba, MO, and Beverly (Mrs. Dan) Pipkin of Kansas City, MO, by two sisters, Jessie Cash of Farmington and Mary Baldwin of McClure, IL, by 12 grandchildren, by 21 great-grandchildren, by two great-great- grandchildren, and by two sisters-in-law, Alma and Rosie Winch. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.

Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker

Clifton Alvin "Mouse" Bell
December 03, 1937 - November 18, 2002

He is survived by three sons, Kenneth Bell and wife Brandie, Scott Bell and wife Andrea all of Farmington, and Kevin Bell and wife Linda of Park Hills, by two sisters, Doris Schoonover and Thelma Sales of Farmington, by two brothers, Phillip Bell and Jim Bell of Farmington, by five granddaughters, Chelsea, Haleigh, Olivia, Madyson, and Blake Bell, and by a grandson, Kenneth Bell II. Several nieces, nephews, and close friends also survive.

He proudly served his nation with the U.S. Army. He was a life-time member of the Amvets Post 113.

Before his retirement, Mr. Bell worked at Anheiser Busch Manufacturer’s Railway.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Mrs. Fred) Green of Boston, MA, by a sister, Octavia Bauroth of the State of North Carolina, by a brother, Ashby Coffman of the State of California, by a grandson, Jeff Green, and by two granddaughters, Annie and Elizabeth Green all of Boston, MA.

Mrs. Lance was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington. She was also a member of the Daughters of American Revolution and Daughters of American Colonists.

Cammie Lucile Griffin

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lewis Griffin, Sr. of 48 years, by two daughters, Hattie Parks of Viola, KS, and Cindy Jo Griffin of the State of Virginia, by five sons, Rocky Griffin of the State of Arizona, Hyrum Griffin of St. Louis, Charles Griffin of Hinckly, MN, Dale Griffin of Ste. Genevieve, and Robert L. Griffin, Jr. of Doe Run, by a sister, Edith Marino of the State of Texas, by 25 grandchildren, and by 20 great- grandchildren.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Griffin worked for the Presbyterian Home for Children as a Child Care Worker. She also attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Emmett Lee Kilmer
April 13, 1920 - November 04, 2002
Farmington, Missouri

He married Minnie (Warden) Carter on June 15, 1968, and she died December 5, 1980. Later, he married Golda V. (Koester) Moon July 16, 1983, at Farmington, who survives. He is also survived by step-children, Henry Carter of Fairview Heights, IL, Willis Carter of Arnold, MO, Ruby Carter of Shiloh, IL, and Stanley Moon of Titusville, FL. Nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends also survive.

He entered the Navy as an Apprentice Seaman on December 13, 1938, completing his basic training in Norfolk, VA. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was assigned to a tugboat in Subic Bay in the Philippine Islands, and when the Japanese attacked the Philippines, Emmett was assigned to the machine gun crew in D Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines on Corregidor. After intense shelling for about a month, Corregidor surrendered to Japanese May 6, 1942, and Emmett became a prisoner of war. He was at Cabanatuan Prison Camp in Luzon, and then was sent to Hoten Prison Camp in Mukden, Manchuria. Finally, after being imprisoned for at least 39 months, he was released August 19, 1945. He retired from active service after twenty years, and remained in the Fleet Reserves for another ten years, retiring in 1969, as Chief Electrician’s Mate. He was awarded the Purple Heart Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, Army Distinguished Unit Badge with 1 oak leaf cluster, the Good Conduct Ribbon, American Defense Ribbon with 1 bronze star, Asiatic Pacific Theatre Area with 1 bronze star, the World War II Victory Ribbon, and Philippine Defense Ribbon with 1 bronze star.

He also worked as an electrician at Granite City Steel for a number of years and also was an avid gardener. Emmett was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since 1979. He and Golda served a mission to the Washington, DC temple.

Mary Ellen Evens
January 19, 1914 - November 02, 2002

She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Mrs. Dick) Royer of Farmington, a grandson, Ronald and wife Karen Royer of O’Fallon, a granddaughter, Jo Ellen (Mrs. Michael) Smith of St. Charles, four great-grandchildren, Lyndsie Smith, Zachary Smith, Matthew Royer and Claire Royer, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Fontinelle of St. Louis. Also surviving are some special cousins, a niece and nephew, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Before her retirement, she had been employed by the Melhville School District, where she taught at the Oakville and Forder elementary schools. She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was active in the U.M.W., the Monday Book Club, P.E.O., and the Missouri Retired Teachers Assn.

Memorials may be made to the Mineral Area Council on the Arts, the Mineral Area College Foundation, and the Memorial United Methodist Church.

Robert Hager
April 14, 1914 - October 29, 2002
Farmington, MO.

Robert was born on April 14, 1914, in St. Francois County, the son of the late George and Bessie (Shy) Hager. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Hager. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Georgia (Cooper) Hager, by a son, Chester Hager of Carbondale, IL, by a daughter Sharon (Mrs. Jack ) Mabery of Atlanta, GA, by five brothers, Harley, Floyd, Roy, George and Willard Hager, by three sisters, Ruby Odgers, Helen Landolt, and Dorothy Boyd, by six grandchildren, Greg Hager, Susan Keim, Scott Coleman, Stewart Coleman, Tara Mabery, and Amy Mabery, and by six great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Georgia (Cooper) Hager, by a son, Chester Hager of Carbondale, IL, by a daughter Sharon (Mrs. Jack ) Mabery of Atlanta, GA, by five brothers, Harley, Floyd, Roy, George and Willard Hager, by three sisters, Ruby Odgers, Helen Landolt, and Dorothy Boyd, by six grandchildren, Greg Hager, Susan Keim, Scott Coleman, Stewart Coleman, Tara Mabery, and Amy Mabery, and by six great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Before his retirement, Mr. Hager was a self-employed Farmer and continued to be an active member of the board of Farm Mutual Insurance Co. He was also a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington. An avid sports fan, Robert liked rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. In his spare time he enjoyed walking, gardening, fishing, and playing cards. But most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Genevieve County, the daughter of the late Fred Joseph and Rosa Iona (Cruncleton) Landolt. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lee, Harold, and Fred Landolt, Jr., and by two sisters, Lena Mae Thurman and Iva Louise Williams. She was born on October 5, 1921, in Ste. Before her retirement, Mrs. Morris worked for the Biltwell Clothing Co. She was also a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington.
