She is survived by her mother, Glenna (Bloom) Miller, by her husband John “Joe “ Adams, and by three daughters, Brenda (Mrs. Darrell) Preston of St. Mary, Linda (Mrs. Jesse) Boyer of Ste. Genevieve, and Vicki (Mrs. Stephen) Wade of Farmington, by four sons, Neal Adams and wife Vina, and John Adams and wife Peggy, all of Ste. Genevieve and Milton Adams and wife Donna, and Burton Adams and wife Tammy, all of Farmington, by one sister, Connie (Mrs. Bob) Watkins of Knob Lick, by four brothers, Dale Miller and wife Carolyn of the state of Florida, Gary Miller and wife Marilyn of Caledonia, Allan Ray Miller and wife Linda of Ste. Genevieve, and Richard Miller of St. Louis, and by seventeen grandchildren, and by four great-grandchildren. Many Nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends survive

Mrs. Adams retired from the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center after thirty years of employment. She was also a charter member of the Coffman Baptist Church.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Hospice Care, or to the family.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Battles, by a son, Jeffery A. Trout of Farmington, by a daughter, Sherry Steinman of St. Louis, by a sister, Joyce (Mrs. Roy) Bowler of Imperial, and by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Gladys Dillard
January 13, 1904 - December 26, 2001

She is survived by a daughter, Jean Sales of Kirbyville, MO, by three granddaughters and by two grandsons, by ten great-grandchildren, and by two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dillard was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church of Fredericktown and a life member of the Madison Memorial Hospital Association.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or to the Arthritis Foundation.

Harley Matthew Laramore
September 15, 1929 - December 22, 2001

Interment: Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Park Hills

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Laramore, by a son, Jerry Laramore of Boise, ID, by a daughter, Kathleen (Mrs. Kenneth Key) of Cumming, GA, by a brother, Elwood Laramore of Tilden, IL, by a sister, Reva (Mrs. Alex) Keller of Nampa, ID, and by three grandchildren, Hailey Talley, Michelle Key, and Ryan Key.

He served his country for more than twenty years in the U.S. Army where he saw combat in both the Korean and the Vietnam wars. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his acts of heroism.

After his retirement from the military he worked for the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center where he repaired air conditions and other equipment. In his spare time, Mr. Laramore enjoyed singing, bowling, and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Memorials may be directed to the Veteran’s Home at Cape Girardeau.

Norman "Pete" Merseal
July 28, 1922 - January 07, 2002

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Merseal; two sons, Gary Merseal and wife Bobbie of Wichita, Kansas, and Ron Merseal of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Diana Williams of Festus; three brothers, James Merseal and Francis “Dude” Merseal, both of Farmington, and Joe Merseal of Derby, Kansas; two sisters, Wanda Pirtle of Ballwin, and Ruth Yeager of Farmington; seven grandchildren and four great-grandsons. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy.

Mr. Merseal was a salesman in the tire industry. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5896, a member of the American Legion Post 416, and the Elks Lodge 1765.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, HospiceCare, Inc. or the Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund

Anthony F. Staats

He is survived by his parents, Roger and Eveleen (Mulhern) Staats, by his brother, Steven Staats and sister, Jane Harbert both of St. Louis, by his grandparents, Homer and Dora Staats of Farmington, and the families of Larry and Judy Staats of Park Hills, MO, Joe and Virginia Staudinger of Belton, MO, and Katie Needham of London, England. He is also survived by his nieces, Kaitlyn and Sarah Staats.

Memorials may be directed to the Hemophilia Center at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

John Lee Warner, Sr.
February 18, 2002 - January 19, 2002

Interment: Arcadia Valley Memorial Park

He is survived by a daughter, Janine L. Warner of St. Louis, by two sons, John L. Warner, Jr. and Jerrold L. Warner, both of Yuma, AZ, by a brother, Robert J. Warner of Laguna, CA, by six grandchildren, Julie, John L. Warner, III, Jerillyn, Jacellyn, Joseph and Jesse, by two great-grandchildren, Lora and Änna. Numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Warner served his country during WWII in the United States Marine Corps.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Eagles Lodge of Pilot Knob. He also belonged to Amvets and the American Legion, both in St. Louis. Mr. Warner was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight Company.

He is the loving husband of Alma Moore of Farmington, loving father of Pat Albright of Ballwin, MO, Sue (Mrs. Kevin) McCarthy-Welsh of St. Charles, MO, David Moore and wife Betsy of Huffman, TX, and Barb (Mrs. Jerry) Welch of O’Fallon, MO. He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Wallace of Flint, MI and Karen (Mrs. Dick) Cain of Swartz Creek, MI, by grandchildren, Paul Albright and wife Beth, Jon Pritts and wife Laura, Jeff Pritts and fiancé Angela King, Daniel, Amanda, and Melissa Moore, Angela, Kim and Catherine Gleason, and by great-grandchildren, Kristopher Albright, Chad and Ann Campbell, and Rachel and Nathan Pritts. Dalton was a brother- in-law of Mildred Mullins, Ruby Gunnett, Waymond LaChance and Darryl LaChance and wife Ruth. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan.

He served as a Sgt. In the Army in the Pacific Theater in World War II.

He retired from Chrysler and was a member of the UAW. He helped form the Lake Timberline Fire Department and served as Fire Chief in 1976.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lung Cancer Association or the American Diabetes Association.

June 26, 1943 - January 15, 2002

He is survived by his wife, Carol Meadows, by two sons, Jerry Elser of Doe Run and Kelly Elser of Park Hills, by an adopted daughter, Marci Loraine of Park Hills, by two brothers, Edward and Jim Meadows both of Cord, AR, and by three grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.

Mr. Meadows worked as a truck driver for many years.
