WELSCHMEYER
Mary Magdalyn "Mamie" Welschmeyer, 89, St. Elizabeth, died March 6, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
She was born Feb. 23, 1910, in Freeburg, a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Lauberth. She was married July 3, 1935, to Anthony Welschmeyer, who preceded her in death.
She was a lifelong resident of Freeburg and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg.
Survivors include: two sons, Paul Welschmeyer, Freeburg, and Jerry Welschmeyer, Lebanon; four daughters, Thersia Evers and Millie Hopkins, both of Jefferson City, Lorine Deeken, Koeltztown, and Helen Grellner, Rich Fountain; two brothers, Anton Lauberth and Clemence Lauberth, both of California; 36 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Mueller, and one grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Kordes Funeral Home, Vienna, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
BRYANT
Charles R. Bryant, 33, Climax Springs, died March 6, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born May 26, 1965, in New York City, a son of Larry R. Sr. and Lola M. Peterson Bryant. His mother survives in Climax Springs. His father and stepmother, Larry and Pat Bryant, survive in Montgomery, Ala.
He was a Baptist. He had lived in Climax Springs for the past 12 years.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Larry R. Bryant II and Frank R. Bryant, both of Camdenton; two sisters, Katherine Henderson, Climax Springs, and Yvonne Doll, LaBelle, Fla; and one half sister, Angela Bryant, Montgomery.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be in Mose Clark Cemetery, Climax Springs.
JORDAN
John Joseph Jordan, 84, Richmond Heights, formerly of Osage County, died March 7, 1999, at St. Mary's Hospital, St. Louis.
He was born Oct. 29, 1914, in Osage County, a son of Benjamin M. and Mary Elizabeth Quinn Jordan. He was married in 1936, in Boonville, to Mary Fritz, who died in 1993.
He attended Plattner School in Osage County. He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers and Standard Oil as a ship cook. He worked for McDonnell-Douglas as a cook for 10 years, retiring in 1974.
He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Richmond Heights.
Survivors include one brother, James Jordan, Caruthersville, and two sisters, Waldine Mertens, Florissant, and Beatrice Schwinke, Fredricksburg, Iowa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Pat Dowling will officiate. Burial will be in Bailey's Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Meyer-Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Chamois.
Memorials are suggested to Bailey's Creek Cemetery.
McDONALD
Nellie M. McDonald, 72, Fulton, died March 8, 1999, at her home.
She was born Feb. 4, 1927, in Tebbetts, a daughter of Benjamin and Hester Freeman Spencer. She was married to Olivet R. McDonald, who died Aug. 23, 1990.
She worked as a seamstress at Stride Rite Shoe Co., Fulton.
Survivors include: two sons, Harold "Peanuts" Bond, Mokane, and Marvin Bond, Columbia; four daughters, Marsha Loyd and Lois Dzurick, both of Millersburg, and Sharon Baker and Mary "Kackie" Hooks, both of Columbia; one brother, John Spencer, Holts Summit; two sisters, Lucinda Zeugin and Mildred Rothove, both of Fulton; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Ramona Cleveland, died Feb. 2, 1972.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Bob Frey will officiate. Burial will be in Mokane Cemetery, Mokane.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

PEMBERTON
Vergie Jane Pemberton, 85, Osage Beach, died March 7, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
She was born July 6, 1913, in Miller County, a daughter of George and Beatrice Davenport Duncan. She was married May 10, 1937, in Crocker, to Leonard Juel Pemberton, who died Jan. 27, 1988.
A homemaker, she was a member of Mount Union Church of Christ near Brumley.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerry Pemberton, Fulton, and Richard Pemberton, Jefferson City; two daughters, Nancie Duncan, Lake Ozark, and Mary Pemberton, Osage Beach; five brothers, Noel Duncan, Eureka, Oleph Duncan and Donald Duncan, both of Brumley, Tennyson Duncan, Eldon, and Raymond Duncan, Richland; one sister, Juanita Wall, Crocker; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her stepmother, Stella Duncan, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Roy Westbrook will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Union Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the Mount Union Cemetery Fund or the American Lung Association.
SCHREIMANN
Paul Schreimann, 69, Jefferson City, died March 6, 1999, in Jefferson City.
He was born July 20, 1929, in Jefferson City, a son of Edward W. and Lulu Gray Schrei-mann. He was married Dec. 23, 1950, to Anna Belle Backer, who died Feb. 25, 1993. He was married Jan. 1, 1999, in Jefferson City, to Margaret Smith, who survives at the home.
A 1947 graduate of Jefferson City High School, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a diagnostic technician at the Ford Motor Company in Newark, Calif., for 33 years. He was a member of Solid Rock Family Church.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Pauline Burrell, Hanford, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Jones, Jefferson City, and Dorothy Lenz, Janesville, Wis.; one brother, Marcellus Schreimann, Jefferson City; and one grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Solid Rock Family Church. The Rev. Tom Mustain and the Rev. Mike Burton will officiate. Burial will be in Lane Cemetery, Osage County.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Solid Rock Family Church.
WAGNER
Virginia Mae Buddin Wagner, 75, Glidden, Iowa, died March 7, 1999, at Carroll Manor, Carroll, Iowa.
She was born Aug. 20, 1923, in Carroll, a daughter of Everett O. and Minnie Loebel Buddin. She was married Jan. 24, 1942, in Savannah, to Robert E. Wagner, who survives at the home.
She attended Carroll public schools, graduating in 1942. She was a past resident of the states of Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri and Maryland, returning to Glidden in 1992.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon. She was on the advisory board of Presbyterian Women and had been awarded honorary life membership while in Kearney, Neb. She served in Presbyterian Mariner Skippers in Glidden, the states of Missouri and Iowa, and in Platte Valley, Neb.
She was a member of Signet Chapter 1, Order of the Eastern Star, Entre Nous and the Open Door Club. She organized the Carroll RSVP Social Bridge Club in 1993.
Other survivors include: four sons, Robert E. Wagner II, Mount Vernon, Iowa, Jeri L. Wagner, Thornton, Colo., Curtis J. Wagner, Minden, Iowa, and Kevin J. Wagner, Columbus, Neb.; two daughters, Roxanne M. Mason, Jefferson City, and Janet R. Botsford, Kearney; two sisters, Leta Hutchinson, Atlantic, Iowa, and Donna Welbourn, Carroll; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
One infant son, Richard B. Wagner, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Glidden. The Rev. Paul Uzel and the Rev. Duane O'Tool will officiate. Burial will be in Merle D. Hay Memorial Cemetery, Glidden.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home, Glidden, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
BURGER
Roger L. Burger, 65, California, died March 9, 1999, at his home.
He was born April 16, 1933, in Jamestown, a son of Fred and Lucy Murphy Burger. He was married April 27, 1956, in McGirk, to Alta L. Bolin, who died Aug. 15, 1997.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator, a barge crane operator on the Missouri River and he owned and operated A&R Bar, California. He was a member of VFW Post 4345, a charter member of California Eagles 4027, a member of Operators Union 513, Goodtime Campers and Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk. He attended California High School. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include: one son, Rock Burger, Bridgeton; one daughter, Dana Hernandez, California; four brothers, Jack Burger, Independence, Arthur Burger, Jefferson City, and Bill Burger and David Burger, both of California; four sisters, Patty Harvey, New Franklin, Betty Stevens, Hermann, and Sue Tuttle and Kathy Roll, both of California, and five grandchildren.
One son, Michael Roger Burger, died Oct. 10, 1957.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Ivan Dameron will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a VFW service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Roger Burger family.
DAKE
Jewell Dean Dake, 84, Iberia, died March 8, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Miller County, a daughter of Adrain and Mary Ann Lawson Sloan. She was married Oct. 14, 1932, in Iberia, to Jack M. Dake, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Tabernacle Church, near Iberia.
Other survivors include: two sons, Bob Dake and Jackie Dake, both of Iberia; three daughters, Wanda McKee, Iberia, Lois Copeland, Meta, and Alice Humphrey, Eldon; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. David King will officiate. Burial will be in Dake Cemetery, near St. Anthony.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Dake Cemetery.
HASLAG
Gertrude Margaret Haslag, 96, Loose Creek, died March 9, 1999, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.
She was born Oct. 30, 1902, in Loose Creek, a daughter of William and Katherine Trecker Orscheln. She was married May 18, 1922, in Loose Creek, to Conrad Haslag Sr., who died May 29, 1980.
She attended school in Loose Creek. A lifelong area resident, she was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church, Loose Creek, and St. Ann's Sodality.
Survivors include: four sons, Jerome Haslag, Bernard Haslag Sr. and Conrad Haslag Jr., all of Loose Creek, and Albert Haslag, Bonnots Mill; three brothers, Joseph Orscheln, Loose Creek, and George Orscheln and Charles Orscheln, both of Jefferson City; two sisters, Cora Muenks and Angeline Lock, both of Loose Creek; 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Hugo Haslag, who died in 1998, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, Loose Creek. The Rev. Peter Walsh will officiate. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, Loose Creek.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception School, Loose Creek, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
