HOOVER

Emma Sauder Hoover, infant daughter of Earl and Elizabeth Sauder Hoover, Latham, died Nov. 6, 1999, at her home.

She was born June 25, 1999, at her home. Her parents survive at the home.

Other survivors include: four brothers, Abel Hoover, Floyd Hoover, Naaman Hoover and Henry Hoover, all of the home; four sisters, Margaret Hoover, Irene Hoover, Leora Hoover and Lena Hoover, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Enos and Lydia Sauder, Latham; paternal grandparents, John and Ella Hoover, Curtiss, Wis.; and paternal great-grandfather, Eli Sauder, Ephrata, Pa.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Clearview Mennonite Church, near Versailles. The Rev. Raymond Shirk, the Rev. Raymond Stauffer, the Rev. Daniel Newswanger and the Rev. Ivan Hurst will officiate. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the family home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

VAUGHAN

Edna A. Vaughan, 84, Linn, died Nov. 8, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Linn, a daughter of William and Christina Leven Brandt. She was married Feb. 14, 1935, to Thomas Campbell Vaughan, who died Jan. 2, 1984.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. George Church, Linn.

Survivors include: one son, John Vaughan, Linn; one brother, Willard Brandt, Linn; one sister, Ida Boes, Linn; and one grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. George Church. The Rev. Paul Hartley will officiate. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. George Activity Center.

VAUGHAN

Opal Grace Vaughan, 84, Versailles, died Nov. 7, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Camden County, a daughter of Joseph W. and Lula E. Phillips Chipley.

She was employed in the home health field and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Sedalia. She had lived in Barnett.

Survivors include: three sons, Joseph William Vaughan and Jerry Dean Vaughan, both of Yuma, Ariz., and James Edward Vaughan, Marion, Ky.; one daughter, Beryl Jean Routon, Barnett; five sisters, Eula Laurie, Laurie, Mabel Ribdon, Promise City, Iowa, Bertha Conner, Stover, Mae Mower, Hollister, and Julia Campbell, Oak Grove; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Diane Cutler will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Barnett.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

RITCHIE

Mary Louise Lenox Ritchie, 60, Rogersville, formerly of Versailles, died Nov. 8, 1999, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.

She was born Nov. 26, 1938, in Red Oak, Iowa, a daughter of Hugh and Martha Barnwell Lenox. She was married Jan. 16, 1960, in Lathrop, to Vernon "Doc" Ritchie, who survives at the home.

A 1954 graduate of Gravette High School, Gravette, Ark., she worked at Frasco Industries, Eldon, Solid States Bakery, Rogersville, and Sweetheart Cup Industries, Springfield. She moved from Versailles to Rogersville in 1985.

Other survivors include: one son, Michael Ritchie,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Brenda Coontz, Versailles; and six grandsons.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Ritchie Cemetery, Versailles.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to Ritchie Cemetery or a charity of the donor's choice.

BROWN

Karra Paige Kuschel Brown,  Jefferson City, infant daughter of Arbray Brown and Rebecca Kuschel, died Nov. 7, 1999, at Universityof Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

She was born Dec. 5, 1998, a daughter of Arbray Brown, Columbia, and Rebecca Kuschel,  Jefferson City. Her parents survive.

Other survivors include, one sister, Symone Brown,  Jefferson City; paternal grandparent, Bobbie Wells, Columbia; and maternal grandparents, Mary Ann Williamson, Columbia, and Michael Kuschel, Westphalia.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia. The Rev. Max Jennings will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

JONES

Jack L. Jones, 51, Clarksburg, died Nov. 9, 1999, near California.

He was born Sept. 29, 1948, in Osceola, Iowa, a son of Lebert R. and Mildred Lorene Fry Jones. His mother survives in Clarksburg. He was married May 21, 1966, in Clarksburg, to Wanda Reed, who survives at the home.

He was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church, California. He was a deputy for the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department. He was Clarksburg city marshal and a corrections officer for Missouri Department of Corrections' Central Missouri Correctional Center (Church Farm). He served in law enforcement for more than 30 years.

He attended Clarksburg School.

Other survivors include: one son, Gary Jones, Jamestown; three daughters, Vivian Counterman, Clarksburg, and Tina Kirchner and Jackie Ash, both of California; three brothers, Donald Jones, California, Howard Jones, Syracuse, and Dennis Jones, Boonville; and 13 grandchildren.

One granddaughter preceded him in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church. The Rev. Ivan Dameron and the Rev. Walter Lockhart will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, California.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.

Memorials are suggested to Von Hippels Lindau Disease Family Alliance, 171 Clinton Road, Brookline, Mass. 02445; or to Candlelighter's (Leukemia), P.O. Box 1708, Columbia Mo. 65205.

KOENKE

Leonard Koenke Jr., 73, California, died Nov. 8, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

He was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Morgan County, a son of Leonard Sr. and Nina Mae Hatfield Koenke. He was married to Dorthy Steele, who preceded him in death. He was married to Margaret Pace Wyss, who survives at the home.

He attended school in Syracuse and was an Army veteran. He owned and operated Koenke's Garage for 45 years until his retirement in 1990. He also was a lifelong cattle farmer. He was a member of the Syracuse Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years, serving as chief for 20 years. He was mayor of Syracuse for 20 years. He was a member and deacon of Syracuse Baptist Church. He served on the Syracuse School Board and was a past member of the Syracuse Lions Club. He was on the Good Shepherd Nursing Home Board for 28 years.

Other survivors include: one son, Lt. Col. Kenneth E. Koenke, USAF, Manassas, Va.; one daughter, Kathy Smith, O'Fallon; one sister, Norvetta Johnson, Syracuse; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Syracuse Baptist Church. The Rev. Ken Mathes, the Rev. Woodson Moore and the Rev. Cy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Syracuse Baptist Church.

Memorials are suggested to Syracuse City Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

LOVETTE

Virginia May Lovette, 78,  Jefferson City, died Nov. 2, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born June 11, 1921, in St. Louis, a daughter of John and Virginia Levering Wegener. She was married June 20, 1943, in St. Louis to James B. Lovette.

She attended schools in St. Louis. She was employed with the Terminal Railroad Association in St. Louis and in Illinois for more than 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: one daughter, Kendra D. Lovette, Glen Burnie, Md.

Private family services will be held.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.

McCUBBIN

Burnell "Mac" McCubbin, 77, Eldon, died Nov. 6, 1999, at home.

He was born Dec. 6, 1921, in Passover, a son of James O. and Alta Pearl Jeffries McCubbin.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. A member of the American Legion of Eldon and Eldon VFW Post 2442, he was a real estate agent.

He is survived by one sister, Jewell Ahart, Eldon.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
