SCHMIDT
Jerry H. Schmidt, 45, Henley, died Nov. 19, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 10, 1954, in Kansas City, a son of Hubert and Emma Kempker Schmidt. He was married Oct. 3, 1981, in Jefferson City, to Rhoda Fortson, who survives at the home.
A member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Mary's Home, he owned T&S Recycling.
Other survivors include: two sons, Eric Schmidt, Cameron, and Cody Schmidt, Henley; one daughter, Cindy Schmidt, Henley; and one granddaughter.
One infant daughter, Elizabeth Schmidt, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Jefferson City. Pastor Allen Golden will officiate. Burial will be in Johnston Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Monday.

MAYOR
Walter K. Mayor, 65, Clive, Iowa, died Nov. 21, 1999, at Kavanagh House, Des Moines, Iowa.
He was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Kansas City, a son of George L. and Janiece Kelley Stewart. He was married Dec. 20, 1964, to Joann Scott, who survives at the home.
He was a product manager for Case I.H. Corp. for 45 years. He was a member of Des Moines United Methodist Church, the Corn Growers Association and Iowa Soybean Association. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Gate of the Temple 422 and ZA-GA-ZIG Shrine, both in Springfield.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Lesa Foley, Monroe, Wis., and Susan Peer, Des Moines; one brother George Lee Stewart, state of Missouri; one sister, Jill Corti, University Heights; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Versailles Cemetery. The Rev. Roy Bennett will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
POWERS
Ruby Marie Powers, 85, Fulton, died Nov. 20, 1999, at her home.
She was born July 18, 1914, in Reform, a daughter of Luther and Marie Wyatt Estes. She was married March 4, 1939, in Mexico, to Floyd Elmer Powers, who died Feb. 8, 1992.
A homemaker, she was a member of Reform Church of God Holiness.
Survivors include: five sons, Edward Powers and Jerry Powers, both of Fulton, Kenneth Powers and Joe Powers, both of Steedman, and David Powers, Kingdom City; one daughter, Katherine West, Dewey, Okla.; two brothers, Luther James Estes and Samuel Estes, both of Fulton; two sisters, Opal Estes and Jewell Estes, both of Fulton; 14 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
One grandchild and one great-grandchild preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Philip Urquiola and the Rev. Dean Greenwood will officiate. Burial will be in Reform Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Reform Cemetery or Reform Church of God Holiness.
SCOTT
Services were Saturday for Wayne Allen Scott, 65, of Silver Springs, Md., formerly of Hickory Hill, who died Nov. 12, 1999, at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Springs.
He was born July 24, 1934, in Hickory Hill, a son of Jasper A. and Blanche E. Hoskins Scott.
Survivors include: one son, Rodney A. Wells, Kansas City; two daughters, Rhonda Daniels and Rebecca Willoughby, both of Kansas City; one stepdaughter, Helena Orellana, Silver Springs; four sisters, Gladys Musick, Tuscumbia, Geraldine Amos, Eugene, Lorene Hoff, Pleasant Hill, and Juanita Grady, Iberia; nine grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
The remains were cremated. Graveside services were in Hickory Hill Cemetery.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
SMITH
Hazel M. Smith, 80, Osage Beach, died Nov. 20, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital. Osage Beach.
She was born Dec. 27, 1918, in Henly, Ohio, a daughter of John E. and Myrtle F. Parham Thompson.
She was a homemaker and had lived in the Lake area for the last two years. She was Baptist.
Survivors include: three daughters, Margaret Jones, Camdenton, Marie Courson, Pine Bluff, Ark., and Jane Garrett, Fairbanks, Ala.; two sons, Dan Marx Miller, Camdenton, and Paul Ewing, Moberly; one sister, Gert Patton, Zephyrhills, Fla.; two brothers, Raymond Thompson, St. Louis, and Jerry Thompson, Chicago; 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Two sons and one grandchild preceded her in death.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Keith Graves will officiate. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery near Sleeper.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday.
SPILLMAN
Mary Ann Spillman, 52, Eldon, died Nov. 21, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born July 20, 1947, in East St. Louis, Ill., a daughter of Clifford and Florance Combs Rarick.
She was a house parent with Girls Town of Missouri.
Survivors include, two sons, Jason Rarick, Eldon, and Clifford Rarick, Jackson; one brother, three sisters and two grandchildren.
The remains were cremated. No services are planned.

STRAIGHT
Mary L. Straight, 46, Jefferson City, died Nov. 20, 1999, at her home.
She was born June 2, 1953, in Van Nuys, Calif., a daughter of LeRoy and Florence Thornton. Her mother survives in Laguna Hills, Calif. She was married Feb. 1, 1975, in Thousand Oaks, Calif., to Richard D. Straight, who survives at the home.
She graduated from high school and business college in the state of California. She had been a resident of Central Missouri for the past 22 years.
She was the office manager for Dr. Darryl Thomas, and for the past seven years had been employed in the admissions department for Capital Region Medical Center.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Krista Lynn Straight, San Diego, and Marissa Lorraine Straight, of the home; one stepdaughter, Shawnee' Turner, Omaha, Neb.; and five brothers, LeRoy Thornton, Cleveland, Ohio, Bill Thornton, San Ysidro, Calif., Rick Thornton, Sunnyvale, Calif., Greg Thornton, Laguna Hills, Calif., and Tim Thornton, San Diego.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Gregory Higley will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
WOODS
William D. Woods, 66, Jefferson City, died Nov. 21, 1999, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born March 23, 1933, in Versailles, a son of George and Inez Newsam Woods.
He graduated from Versailles High School in 1951and was an Air Force veteran. Retired from the Postal Service, he worked at the Versailles Post Office, Jefferson City Post Office and the regional office near Columbia.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Versailles, American Legion Post 104, Versailles, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by one sister, Ruth Cook, Jefferson City; two brothers, Donald Woods, Versailles; and Lloyd Woods, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Monte Shinkle and Rev. Todd Forman will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home and from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid Missouri, or a charity of the donor's choice.
TIBERGHIEN
Robert L. Tiberghien, 70, California, died Nov. 21, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born March 24, 1929, in Chillicothe, a son of Burt and Garnet Shearer Tiberghien. He was married on Feb. 17, 1951, in Jefferson City, to Jane Dean, who survives at the home.
He was a pipefitter for Harold G. Butzer plumbing for 33 years and was a member of Pipefitters' Local 562, St. Louis. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk, where he was a head usher and a trustee. He graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1948 and was an Army veteran.
Other survivors include: one son, Randy Tiberghien, California; two sisters, Betty Dampf, Florissant, and Helen Craig, Fulton; three grandsons; two step granddaughters and two step great-grandchildren.
One son, Robert Steven Tiberghien, died in June 1973.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk. The Rev. Frank Whitney will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Jefferson City.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.
