CREWS

Mary Frances "Dolly" Crews, 76, Bonnots Mill, died March 11, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born May 8, 1922, in Poplar Bluff. She was married in 1956, in Las Vegas, to Homer L. Crews, who survives at the home.

She was a waitress.

Other survivors include: one brother, John Quigley, Poplar Bluff; and one sister, Susie Anderson, state of Arizona.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Tony Townley will officiate. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Mount Olive Cemetery, Doniphan.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to the Society for the Blind or the American Cancer Society.

LEPLEY

Elmer M. Lepley, 91, California died March 10, 1999, at Moniteau Care Center.

He was born Feb. 4, 1908, in Cumberland, Md., a son of Franklin E. and Anna Stump Lepley. He was married April 28, 1929, in Cumberland, Md., to Jessie S. Casey, who died Jan. 26, 1991.

He was a boilermaker at Long Beach Naval Shipyard, Long Beach, Calif. He also worked as a fireman on the B&O Railroad.

He was a member of Boilermakers Union Local 285, Long Beach, and of VFW Post 1003. A former McGirk resident, he was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk.

He attended Pennsylvania High School, near Cumberland, W.Va.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He served six years in the Naval Reserves.

Survivors include: two daughters, Carol Ann Beal, California, and Roselee Curry, North Hollywood, Calif.; one sister, Ina Nethkin, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lebanon Baptist Church. The Rev. Frank Whitney will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in McGirk Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. today at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.

Memorials are suggested to Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk, Mo. 65055.

SHELTON

Laura Shelton, 91, Dixon, died March 11, 1999, at Balanced Care Center, Dixon.

She was born Oct. 13, 1907, near Iberia, a daughter of General and Saurilda Hollycross Alexander. She was married in Granite City, Ill., to Lawrence Shelton, who died Nov. 30, 1960.

A former Meta resident, she was a member of Clark Street Church of Christ, Granite City. She was a sales clerk in the bakery department of National Food Store, Granite City.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Granite City.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.

SHEWMAKER

William Lee Shewmaker, 80, Gravois Mills, died March 10, 1999, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.

He was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Morgan County, a son of Arch and Grace Marriott Shewmaker. He was married July 3, 1942, to Ruth Glenetta Coontz, who survives at the home.

He was a stone mason and farmer in Morgan County. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Gravois Baptist Church; Gravois Lions Club; VFW Post 5902, Gravois Mills; and Gravois Ball Club.

Other survivors include: two sons, Damon Shewmaker and Gary Shewmaker, both of Gravois Mills; one daughter, Peggy Shewmaker, Versailles; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Two grandchildren preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Charles R. Kellim will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.

BULLOCK

Ozie V. Bullock, 92, Fulton, died March 12, 1999, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.

She was born Aug. 19, 1906, in Hopkins County, Ky., a daughter of James E. and Nancy Woolard Franklin. She was married Nov. 22, 1924, in Madisonville, Ken., to Roscoe Bullock, who died in 1981.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fulton, and the Central Co-Workers Extension Club.

Survivors include: one daughter, Wanda O'Bannon, Fulton; one grandchild, two step grandchildren and four step greatgrandchildren.

One daughter, Della M. Sisk, and one stepson, Arnold Bullock, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Gary's Funeral Home, Greenville, Ky. Burial will be in Muhlenberg County Memorial Garden Cemetery, Powderly, Ky.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.

CORPIER

Mary Corpier, 72, Waynesville, formerly of Dixon, died March 11, 1999, at Life Care Center, Waynesville.

She was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Dixon, a daughter of Roscoe and Lucinda Sneed Corpier.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Kenner Cemetery, near Dixon.

Visitation will be from 9-9:30 a.m. today at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.

DELLY

Bonnie Delly, 47, Eldon, died March 11, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born July 9, 1951, in Norton, Kan., a daughter of Buford and Phyllis Luther Esslinger. Her mother survives in Mankato, Kan. She was married April 17, 1971, in Mankato, to Joseph Delly, who survives at the home.

She graduated from Mankato High School and attended nursing school in Springfield. She was a licensed practical nurse at Eldon Healthcare Center.

She was a member of Kingdom Hall, Jehovah's Witness, Eldon.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Christine Delly, Eldon, and Carolyn Delly, Lake Ozark; two sons, Brian Delly and Justin Delly, both of Eldon; four brothers, Ronald Eugene Esslinger, Clearwater, Kan., Loren Dennis Esslinger, Wichita, Kan., Phillip Duane Esslinger, Mankato, and Darren Nicholas Esslinger, Fort Collins, Colo.; eight sisters, Sherrilynn Felicia Boley, Mankato, Loreita Marlene Dunstan, Formoso, Kan., Tamara Renee Skelton and Denise Jolene Kearney, both of Wichita, Linda Kaylene Skiles, Bennington, Kan., Jennifer Darlene Murphy, Wellington, Kan., Rebecca Dawn Jengo, Salem, Va., and Starrlene Michelle Parrish, Shawnee, Kan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Kingdom Hall, Jehovah's Witness, Eldon. Burial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Pleasant View Cemetery, Marshfield.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

GRESHAM

Ethel Agnes Gresham, 89, Waynesville, died Feb. 28, 1999, at Life Care Center, Waynesville.

She was born March 19, 1909, in North Tarrytown, N.Y., a daughter of John J. and Bridgett Mannion Connors. She was married June 19, 1948, in Greenwich, Conn., to Dudley Keenaugh Gresham, who died Oct. 4, 1982.

She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. She was a secretary in New York Hospital, White Plains, N.Y.

Survivors include: one nephew, John D. Connors, Dixon, and one niece, Kathleen Connors, Anderson, Calif.

The body was cremated. Inurnment was in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Arrangements were under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.

PATTERSON

Selma G. Patterson, 83,  Jefferson City, died March 11, 1999, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

She was born May 20, 1915, in Ashland, a daughter of Olie T. and Lizzie Alice Purcell Nichols. She was married June 6, 1930, to Ernest Patterson, who survives at the home.

She was a homemaker and worked at TG & Y,  Jefferson City.

Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Jodie Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday.
