Virginia "Ginny" Mae Dubuque
(October 31, 1929 - May 7, 2015)

Virginia Mae “Ginny” Dubuque, age 85, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Cassville, Missouri.

She was born in St. Louis County, Missouri, on October 31, 1929, the daughter of Cecil and Blanche (Steele) Sherfy who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband Robert, two brothers and one sister.

Ginny is survived by one son Cecil Joseph “Joe” Dubuque and his wife Cheryl of Galena, Missouri; two grandchildren, Patrick Dubuque and his wife Amber of Neosho, Missouri and Tiffany West of Neosho, Missouri; one step grandson, Perry Palmer of Utah and four great grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in St. Louis County, where she later became a waitress. On February 20, 1954, Ginny was united in marriage to Robert Joseph Dubuque, in Ellisville, Missouri. In 1984, they moved from Ellisville, to Shell Knob, Missouri, to make their home. She went to work at the Shell Knob Café as a waitress where she made many friends, always enjoying being around and helping people. She was a member of the Shell Knob VFW Women’s Axillary and spent many days volunteering at the Central Crossing Senior Center.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob, Missouri. Reverend John Johnson will conduct the services.

Contributions may be made to the Haven of the Ozarks in memory of Ginny.

Charles Ray Curry
(March 11, 1931 - May 9, 2015)

Charles Ray Curry, age 84, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Saturday May 9, 2015, in his home.

He was born March 11, 1931, at Eagle Rock, Missouri, the son of Ray and Ada (Beck) Curry. On February 24, 1951, he was united in marriage to Rosemary Stanlee, who survives. Also surviving are one son Bill Curry and his wife, Kathy of Eagle Rock, Missouri; one daughter Charla Curry of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Bob Curry and his wife, Kay of Bolivar, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jami, Justin, David and B.J.; seven great grandchildren, Torance, Makenzie, Whitney, Allison, Lindsey, William and Kristen and one great-great grandchild, Paisley.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Charles received his education at Eagle Rock and graduated from Cassville High School. He lived all his life at Eagle Rock, except for the last two years, which he spent in Cassville. Over thirty years of his life he worked for the state park system, becoming Manager at the Roaring River Hatchery in 1968 and retired in 1991. He was a member of Roaring River Baptist Church, where he was saved at the age of ten. He loved helping friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Tony Ball and Pastor Paul Yarnall will conduct the services. Burial will be in Horner cemetery, Cassville with Pastor James Stewart officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Charlotte "Janis" Prewitt
(November 19, 1930 - May 10, 2015)

Charlotte “Janis” Prewitt, age 84, of Wheaton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.

She was born November 19, 1930, in Cherryvale, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Serina (Pruitt) Pennington. On October 7, 1947, in Cassville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Willard Eugene “Gene” Prewitt, who preceded her in death on December 5, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Charles Wesley Prewitt; one brother, Dick Pennington and three sisters, Doris Hall, Beth Cooper and Carol Gilmore.

Surviving are one son, Ferman Prewitt and his wife, Joyce of Wheaton, Missouri; one daughter, Beth Williams and her husband, Cecil of Stella, Missouri; one sister, Beverly Davis of Arvada, Colorado; three grandchildren, Jessica Jones and her husband, Brian, Marty Prewitt and Chad Williams and his wife Stacey and four great grandchildren, Brennan, Ty and Cole Jones and Noah Williams.

Janis received her education at Wheaton. Every fall she worked at Vollenweider Apple Orchard. Most of her life was spent working as a dairy farmer. After they retired from dairy farming, Janis worked eighteen years at Cassville Walmart as a cashier and door greeter. She was a member of Ridgley Baptist Church. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, taking trips and studying her Bible daily.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, in Chitwood cemetery, Wheaton, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Tony Ball will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in Ridgley Baptist Church.

Contributions may be made to Ridgley Baptist Church in memory of Janis.

Deanna Lynn Adams
(August 2, 1963 - May 9, 2015)

Deanna Lynn Adams, age 51, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, following a short battle with cancer.

She was born August 2, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Gerald Adams and Judith Ann “Judi” Gobeli. She received her education in Des Moines and attended Crowder College. After moving to Missouri, she was employed as a waitress in the Cassville area for several years. Some of her favorite pastimes were crafts and decorating and she was very artistic. She also was an avid cat lover.

Surviving are her mother, Judi Gobeli of Colfax, Iowa and two sisters, Dalaina Gobeli of Colfax, Iowa and Debbie Adams of Des Moines, Iowa.

Preceding her in death was her father.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Contributions may be made to the family.

William "Cleburn" Priest
(November 24, 1926 - May 14, 2015)

William Cleburn Priest, age 88, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, in Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation Center, Cassville.

He was born November 24, 1926, at Exeter, Missouri, the son of Ollie and Zuma (Easley) Priest and first grandson of Bill and Mollie Easley. On November 21, 1956, he was united in marriage to Lou Ann Periman, who survives. Also surviving are one sister, Louise Martin and her husband John of Ashland, Missouri; one son, Dan Priest and his wife, Pam of Forsyth, Missouri; one daughter, Nancy Morgan and her husband, Vernie of Seligman, Missouri; five grandchildren, John Priest, Josh Priest, Zach Priest, Adam Morgan and his wife, Linda and Kelsey Bradley and her husband, Luke and one great grandson, Tristan Morgan.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Melvin Priest.

Cleburn received his education at Cassville. From 1949 until 1952, he served in the United States Army in Fort Carson, Colorado. For several years he was a truck driver for Pet Milk and hauled turkeys for Tyson Foods. In 1992, he retired from Forest Products. He loved fishing, especially the two trips they took with Lowell and Alberta Nance to Canada. He took great pride in his garden, growing corn and tomatoes. He was a member Cassville First Baptist Church, Pythagoras Masonic Lodge #383, where he was Tiler several years and a member of Abou Ben Adhem Shrine.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 16, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor John Duncan will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery, Exeter, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Pythagoras Masonic Lodge #383 in memory of Cleburn.

Amy Joann Webb
(July 2, 1967 - May 11, 2015)

Amy Joann Webb, age 47, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.

She was born July 2, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Doug and Sue (Shepherd) Louk. Amy lived most of her life in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Cassville around ten years ago to live with her parents.

Surviving are her parents, Doug and Sue Louk of Cassville; three children, Cassey Parker, Tyler Jones and Wyatt Webb all of Kansas City, Missouri; one granddaughter, Ripley Parker of Kansas City and three sisters, Deborah Goodspeed of Kansas City, Missouri, Barbara Mead and her husband, Jerry of Kansas City, Missouri and Lori Brown and her husband, Kyle of Kearney, Missouri.

Amy will be remembered for her love of God first and foremost. She was a great cook, loved fishing, gardening and was known as a Dog Whisperer. Amy didn’t know a stranger and gave everything she was about to everyone she met and loved. She was especially fond of her granddaughter, Ripley.

She was a registered donor and gave the gift of life.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 30, 2015, in Cassville First Baptist Church. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. On Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. services will be held at North Kansas City First Baptist Church with Pastor Tiger Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Garnett cemetery, Garnett, Kansas.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Amy.

Walter "Rex" Biggs
(July 10, 1931 - May 15, 2015)

Walter R. “Rex” Biggs, age 83, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015, in Bentonview Park Health Care, Monett, Missouri.

He was born July 10, 1931, in Neosho, Missouri, the son of Wayne and Charlotte (Jackson) Biggs. He was united in marriage to Mary Croach and to this union one son, Kevin, was born. Mary preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Leo Biggs.

On March 19, 1999, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, he married Carolyn Sue (Smith) Mills, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Kevin Biggs of Joplin, Missouri, Rocky Mills of Cassville, Missouri, Angela Burmylo of Berryville, Arkansas and Kelly Mills of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Billie Wayne Biggs of Olathe, Kansas; eleven grandchildren, Ryan Biggs, Megan Biggs, Morgan Biggs, Nathan Mills, Jonathan Mills, Elizabeth Robertson, Sarah Sandovol, Riley Mills, Landry Mills, Aidan Burmylo and Colin Burmylo; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, Shelia Mitchell, Joe Biggs, Bo Biggs, Aaron Biggs and Angela Rhoades.

Rex received his education at Stella, Missouri, where he graduated from high school. During the Korean War he served in the United States Navy and Marines as a corpsman from 1950 until 1954. He attended Joplin Junior College. Most of his adult life was spent working as a salesman and was employed several years for Aramark in Joplin, Missouri. He loved all sports, but his favorites were basketball and softball, which he played regularly for many, many years. He was a talented musician and loved music. He loved his family very much. At a young age, Rex was saved at Crossroads Baptist Church near Longview, Missouri. He was currently a member of Corinth Baptist Church and loved his church family. He had been a member of American Legion Post 118.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 18, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Donnie Spears and Brother Rocky Mills will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Cassville, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Darrell Wayne Cousins
(October 4, 1956 - May 17, 2015)

Darrell Wayne Cousins, age 58, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015, in his home.

He was born October 4, 1956, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Jimmie Byron and Flora Dean (Jones) Cousins.

Darrell received his education in Grove, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school. For several years he worked in shipping and receiving for Aaon Heating and Cooling in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Twenty years ago he moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Shell Knob, Missouri, to make his home. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. Some of his favorite pastimes were camping, fishing and just being outdoors.

Surviving are his mother, Flo Carter of Shell Knob, Missouri and two brothers, Darwin Eugene “Gene” Cousins and his wife, Phyllis of Shelton, Alaska and Ronnie Cousins and his wife, Shirley of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob, Missouri. Pastor Carroll Williamson will conduct the services. Burial will be in Lake Park Memorial Gardens, Shell Knob, Missouri.
