BROWN
Services were today for Lee M. Brown, 84, Farmington, Iowa, formerly of Jefferson City, who died Dec. 10, 1999, at Keokuk Area Hospital, Keokuk, Iowa.
She was born Sept. 18, 1915, in Mount Sterling, Iowa, a daughter of Lloyd and Mary Edna Lee Shriver. She was married Sept. 2, 1938, in St. Louis, to Robert F. Brown, who died May 11, 1995.
She was employed with Frank's Ready to Wear in Jefferson City for 26 years. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church, Jefferson City, and United Methodist Church, Farmington.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Brown, Sumter, S.C.; one daughter, Barbara Brown, Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Ida Losey and Marion Woods, both of Farmington; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were at Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. The Rev. Clifford Haider officiated. Burial was in Center Chapel, Keosauqua, Iowa.
Memorials are suggested to the Farmington EMTs.
COLLINS
Tai Shon Benard Collins, infant son of Frank Collins III and Tina Scheperle, Jefferson City, was stillborn Dec. 12, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
Other survivors include: paternal grandfather, Frank Collins II, Chicago; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Vivian and George Ferina, Jefferson City; and maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, David and Bonnie Scheperle, Russellville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Houser Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
GUNNELS
Janet L. Gunnels, 48, Wheatland, died Dec. 12, 1999, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
She was born June 10, 1951, in Springfield, a daughter of James A. and Louise Rooffener Kennedy. She was married May 29, 1976, in Roach, to Bernie E. Gunnels, who survives at home.
A member of Big Niangua Missionary Baptist Church and Easter Star Chapter 20, Macks Creek, she worked as a receptionist for Dr. James Fusco.
Other survivors include: one son, Bernie G. Gunnels, Macks Creek; one daughter, Fawnda Gunnels, Blue Springs; one brother, Jim Kennedy, Blue Springs; one sister, Joy Cross, Macks Creek; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Dean Rooffener will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m.
JAMES
Kenneth C. James, 68, Gravois Mills, died Dec. 12, 1999, at his home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Morgan County, a son of Ellis H. and Lena Bintford Farr James. He was married July 10, 1952, in Harrison, Ark., to Jewel Kincaid, who survives at the home.
He retired from the Postal Service and was postmaster at Gravois Mills after 25 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a charter member of VFW Post 5902, Gravois Mills. He was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and Gravois Mills United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ricky Kim James and Steven Mark James, both of Gravois Mills; one daughter, Terri Lynn James Walters, Mokane; one brother, Donald F. James, Jefferson City; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Dan Adkison will officiate. Burial will be in Holst Cemetery near Gravois Mills.
Visitation will be from 6:30- 8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Holst Cemetery or the Sidebottom Cemetery Fund.
KLEIN
Wray Eugene Klein, 74, Versailles, died Dec. 12, 1999, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.
He was born March 6, 1925, in Florence, a son of William H. and Bertha Hunt Klein. He was married April 1, 1979, to Bessie Juanita Walters, who survives at the home.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he worked in the concrete industry and helped build missile silos throughout Mid-Missouri. He was a member of the VFW Post in Sedalia, the National Rifle Association, and Abundant Life Christian Center, Lincoln.
Other survivors include: three sons, Bill Klein, Smithton, Jack Klein, Camdenton, and John Klein, Kansas City; two daughters, Juanita Faye Klein, Versailles, and Vera Ann Connell, Sunrise Beach; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stover Lions Club Building. Christian Wilson will officiate. The remains were cremated.
Memorials are suggested to the Wray Eugene Klein Memorial Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
PARKS
Noble G. Parks, 89, St. Louis, died Dec. 12, 1999, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born Sept. 14, 1910, in Elkville, Ill., a son of Arthur and Carrie Parks. He was married to Estella V. Parks, who died May 22, 1983.
He worked for almost 30 years as a railroad Pullman porter for the Pullman Company. He later worked as a custodian for the St. Louis public school system.
Survivors include: one son, Arnold G. Parks, Jefferson City; two sisters, Gladys Brown and Eunice Lane, both of St. Louis, and three granddaughters.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Union Memorial United Methodist Church, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at William Smith Funeral Home, St. Louis, and from 11 a.m.-noon Thursday at the church.
PAULEY
Richard Arlyn Pauley, 51, Macon, died Dec. 11, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born Oct. 12, 1948, in Lucerne, a son of Richard "Coy" and Evelyn Brist Pauley. His mother survives in Paxton, Ill.
He attended Central Christian College of the Bible. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He taught in Monroe City, Centralia and Brunswich. He was a teacher and counselor at Jamestown for 14 years and currently was an elementary counselor in the Macon R-1 school system. He attended Crossroads Christian Church, Macon, and had attended, Captial West Christian Church, Jefferson City.
Survivors include one brother, Jim Pauley, Bettendorf, Iowa; two sisters, Judy Davenport, Paxton, and Carol Garris, Mineral Ridge, Ohio.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Christian Church. Jack Sumption, Ken Harland, and John Davenport will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Powersville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home, Macon.
Memorials are suggested to Crossroads Christian Church or the Central Christian College of the Bible.
WHERLEY
Richard "Dick" Wherley, 60, Lake Ozark, died Dec. 13, 1999, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.
He was born March 6, 1939, in Otterville, a son of Thomas E. and Hortense Edwin Haggard Wherley. He was married Aug. 11, 1978, in St. Louis, to Margaret "Peggy" Hoffmann, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he had been a highway patrolman for Troop F. He also was a pilot for former Gov. Warren Hearnes and worked for Ozark Airlines. He worked for TWA for 30 years, retiring as as captain.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lake Ozark.
Other survivors include: one son, Mark Wherley, McCook, Neb.; three daughters, Liza Grubbs, St. Louis, and Lauren Wherley and Meghan Wherley, both of the home; one brother, Tom Wherley, Overland Park, Kan.; one sister, Carla Boyd, Overland Park; and five grandchildren.
His stepfather, Carl O'Neel, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lake Ozark. The remains will be cremated.
Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the college funds of Lauren and Meghen Wherley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
CLARK
Kenneth Nelson Clark, 77, Jefferson City, died Dec. 14, 1999.

DULLE
Frances Catherine Dulle, 90, Jefferson City, died Dec. 14, 1999.
She was born May 19, 1909, in Linn, a daughter of Theodore and Gertrude Niekamp Maasen. She was married Feb. 7, 1933, in Jefferson City, to Clemens William Dulle, who died Nov. 15, 1971.
A homemaker, she volunteered at the St. Marys Health Center gift shop. She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral and Women's Association, Daughters of Isabella, St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary and Guadalupe Circle.
Survivors include: four daughters, Jeane Bacon, St. Louis, Ruth Ann Schnieders, Mary Sue Mueller and Carolyn S. Case, all of Jefferson City; four sons, Clem W. Dulle Jr., Lake Ozark, John T. Dulle, Marion, Iowa, James L. Dulle, Jefferson City, and Stephen M. Dulle, Columbia; four sisters, Alice Chandler, Linn, Amelia Jacquin, Johanna Schaefer and Mildred Kemple, all of Jefferson City; 30 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Helias Foundation, Vitae Society or St. Joseph Cathedral.
DOLIDO
John Dolido, 73, Waynesville, died Dec. 5, 1999, at General Leonard Wood Army Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood.
He was born April 15, 1926, in the U.S.S.R., a son of Ilya P. and Maria Pavlouna Dolidow.
He was a machinist in tool and die work.
Survivors include: one son, Edward Dolido, Upper Brookville, N.Y.; one daughter, Lydia Weller, Oxford, England; one sister, Valentina Kurywezak, Chicago, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Cremation was under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, Crocker.
