STAFFORD
Charles Maurice "C.M." Stafford, 80, Holts Summit, died Dec. 20, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born April 10, 1919, in Tebbetts, a son of William H. and Amanda Merle Suggett Stafford. He was married in 1946 to Edna Hosey, who died October 1960. He was married Nov. 22, 1961, to Ruthie L. Hughes, who survives at the home.
He was a pipefitter/plumber for Jefferson City Local 35 Pipefitters Union. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Bakersville Christian Church, Tebbetts, and the American Motorcycle Association.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Elizabeth Lawson, Holts Summit, and Ruby Fautt, Fair Oaks, Calif.; one son, Charles W. Stafford, Holts Summit; one brother, R. Lee Stafford, Waco, Texas ; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit. The Rev. Dale Norfolk and the Rev. Arnold Bickel will officiate. Burial will be in Bull Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
RAITHEL
Norvin "Nick" Raithel, 69, Jefferson City, died Dec. 20, 1999, at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1930, in Jefferson City, a son of Nicholas and Milirene Gray Raithel. His mother, Milirene Raithel-Luebbert, survives in Jefferson City. He was married April 23, 1991, in Jefferson City, to Joan Owens Mackney, who survives at the home.
A 1949 graduate of St. Peters High School, he was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He worked for Simpson Tobacco Company and Mulligan Business Forms. He owned and operated Nick's Homestead I, Nick's Homestead II in Hannibal and Nick's Homestead III in Hartsburg since 1967. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He volunteered at the Samaritan Center.
Other survivors include: six sons, Steve Raithel, Eric Raithel, Scott Raithel, Mark Raithel and Chet Mackney all of Jefferson City, and Tom Raithel, Leawood, Kan.; seven daughters, Kathy Crow, Linda Burris, Karen Raithel, Teri Schrimpf, Stacey Oidtman and Shelly Hampton, all of Jefferson City, Lee Ann Crawford, Grandby, and Kelly Eveler, Centertown; one brother, Kenneth "Huskey" Raithel, Holts Summit; one sister, Joyce Barnard, Jefferson City; 31 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One son, Michael Anthony Raithel, and one granddaughter, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Greg Higley will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Visitation also will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Helias Foundation.
MORGAN
Raymond Morgan, 54, Waynesville, died Dec. 19, 1999, at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood.
He was born Dec. 14, 1945, in Pana, Ill., a son of Francis L. and Virginia Donnelson Morgan. He was married April 25, 1991, in Waynesville, to Charlotte Malone, who survives at the home.
He was a retired Army command sergeant major.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jennifer Morgan, Springfield; one son, Tycee Bell, Mason City, Ill.; two stepsons, Eric Scott Goforth, Kansas City, and Joseph Shane Goforth, Dixon; two sisters, Vivian Hill, Bloomington, Ill, and Lori Grandfield, Taylorville, Ill.; two brothers, Michael Follis, Springfield, Ill., and Russellville Morgan, Bloomington and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Waynesville Memorial Chapel. Burial, with military honors, will be in Main Post Cemetery, Fort Leonard Wood.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

JAEGERS
Albert Frank Jaegers, 76, Linn, died Dec. 20, 1999, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.
He was born Dec. 24, 1922, in Frankenstein, a son of William and Frances Bogler Jaegers. He was married May 7, 1960, in Linn, to Nancy Zeilmann, who survives at the home.
He was a lifelong resident of Osage County and attended St. Mary's School, Frankenstein. He was co-owner of Jaegers Poultry Business. He was a member of St. George Church, Linn, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Knights of America and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Other survivors include: one son, Karl Jaegers, LaMonte; one daughter, Holly Neuner, Linn; two brothers, Victor Jaegers and Joseph Jaegers, both of Linn; four sisters, Wilma Maasen and Florence Samson, both of Linn, Viola Schaefer, Union, and Legora Ray, Sedalia; and four grandchildren.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. George Church. The Rev. Paul Hartley will officiate. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the St. George Activity Center or the American Heart Fund.
CRUSE
David A. Cruse, 38, Jefferson City, died Dec. 20, 1999, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born July 18, 1961, in Columbia, a son of Victor L. and Dorothy J. Cruse Lavery.
A lifelong Central Missouri resident, he graduated from Linn State Technical College. He was a member of the Dulle Towers Tenants Association.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sara Cruse, Olathe, Kan.; one sister, Lori Lavery Ivie, Springfield; and his fiancee, Jan Mitchell, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Lowell Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Thursday.

NOTT
Raleigh Elmer Nott, 57, Fortuna, died Dec. 20, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born June 8, 1942, in Horton, Kan., a son of Joe and Grace Chesnut Nott. He was married Dec. 17, 1967, to Emma Lou Tipton, who survives at the home.
He was a carpenter and sheet rock hanger in Wyoming, Kansas, Columbia and at the Lake of the Ozarks. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union for 30 years.
Other survivors include: two sons, Noel Nott, Gravois Mills, and Lee Nott, Fortuna; two daughters, Lori Sallee, Fair Grove, and Kimberly Dority, Fortuna; one brother, Roy Nott, Jamestown; four sisters, Elaine Robinett, Eldon, Linda Knipker, California, Debbie Ferguson, Bonnots Mill, and Darla Sadler, Holts Summit; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Danny Owsley will officiate. Burial will be in Akinsville Cemetery near Fortuna.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

PROCTER
Lila E. Procter, 78, New London, died Dec. 20, 1999, at Vencor Hospital, St. Louis.
She was born June 9, 1921, in Bagnell, a daughter of David H. and Laura Caroline Siegrist Rea.
She lived in the Eldon area most of her life and was retired from Chesebrough Ponds. She also taught Sunday school.
Survivors include: one son, David V. Procter, Roach; one daughter, Nancy E. Morris, New London; one brother, Harry Lee Rea, Bridgeton; one sister, Eloise Jenkins, Duquoin, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
ROBINETT
Bertha E. Robinett, 95, Jefferson City, died Dec. 21, 1999, at her home.
She was born May 8, 1904, in Happy Hollow, a daughter of Samuel and Cytha J. Roden Phillips. She was married in Glasgow to Henry L. Cazzell, who preceded her in death. She was married June 25, 1934, in California, to James V. Robinett, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, she attended school in Glasgow and was a homemaker. She was a member of Ozark Bethel Chapel Assembly of God Church, Roach.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Ruby E. Braden, Polo; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Virgil H. Cazzell, died July 28, 1998.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Jesse Baker will officiate. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri River Hospice.
BATES
Suzanne Marie Bates, 39, Jefferson City, died Dec. 22, 1999, at her home.
She was born March 22, 1960, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Gerald and Leta Horstdaniel Brandt. Her mother, Leta Twehouse, survives in Jefferson City. She was married Sept. 29, 1979, in Jefferson City, to Eddie J. Bates, who survives at the home.
She was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She worked in the medical field, working at St. Mary's Pediatrics as an office supervisor, and at St. Mary's Home Health Care and Memorial Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church.
Other survivors include: her stepfather, Harold Twehouse, Jefferson City; her maternal grandmother, Sabine Schmidt, Jefferson City; one brother, Steve Brandt, Jefferson City; and three sisters, Stacey Brandt Kromer and Sandra Brandt, both of Jefferson City, and Sara Otto, Freeburg.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peters Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Driscoll will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
WOOLSEY
Louise L. Woolsey, 84, Wichita, Kan., died Dec. 23, 1999.
She was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Iberia, a daughter of Benjamin and Isa Ramse Groff.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: three daughters, Donna Burger, Camarillo, Calif., Wilma Krier, Wyoming, Minn., and Sue Lynn Pelton, Burdett, Kan.; one brother, Robert Groff, Iberia; one sister, Vergie Wright, Eldon; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at West Side Baptist Church, Wichita.
Memorials are suggested to Prairie Homestead.
