ROBERTSON
Gordon "Con" Robertson, 52, Stover, died Dec. 24, 1999, in St. Louis.
He was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Bolivar a son of Willard C. and Betty Jo Gordon Robertson. He was married June 10, 1977, in Versailles, to Karen Opal Brown, who survives at home.
He was an Air Force veteran. At the time of his death, he was employed as an over-the-road truck driver with Potter Transport. He was the 1996 Driver of the Year and was the recipient of the 3 million mile accident free award. He was a member of Stover First Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Rodney Foushee Sr., Versailles; and Jason Robertson, Springfield; one daughter, Rosyln Cook, Laurie; two brothers, Jimmy Robertson and Donnie Robertson, both of Stover; two sisters, Clara Bumgardner, Stover; and Ann Stevenson, Kingsville; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Stover First Baptist Church. The Rev. James Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Stover Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
SCHROEDER
Charles Daniel Schroeder, 89, Russellville, died Dec. 26, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1910, in River Forest, Ill., a son of Charles M. and Cecilia Hale Schroeder. He was married to Geraldine Russell, who preceded him in death. He was married Dec. 20, 1958, in Cadillac, Mich., to Marie Janie Laizure Clark, who survives at the home.
He was a graduate of Oak Park High School and served for four years as an electrical apprentice. He was a veteran of the Infantry National Guard. He was an electricain with the IBEW Local 134, Chicago, since 1928.
In 1972, he moved to Russellville from Elgin, Ill. He was a member of Russellville Masonic Lodge 90 A.F. and A.M. and Order of the Eastern Star 386, Eugene.
Survivors include: two sons, Charles D. Schroeder, Jr., Hampshire, Ill., and Dan Schroeder, Russellville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Mary Ann Schroeder, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville. The Rev. Randy Trumbo will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, near Russellville.
Visitation will be from 4-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Enon Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
STROESSNER
Hilda Stroessner, 77, Jefferson City, died Dec. 26, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born July 15, 1922, in Honey Creek, a daughter of William A. and Henrietta Sommerer Meier. She was married in 1942, in Jefferson City, to Gilbert R. Stroessner, who died Sept. 5, 1997.
She worked for Tweedies Shoe Factory from 1948 to1965 and at Busch's Florist since1965. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Schubert, and did volunteer work for the church.
Survivors include: one son, William Stroessner, Jefferson City; one brother, Robert Meier, Jefferson City; two sisters, Alma Strobel and Lydia Goldammer, both of Jefferson City; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One daughter, Dorothy Elldrege, died in 1991.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Schubert. The Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church, Schubert.
STEPHENSON
Cecil Forrest Stephenson, 90, Fulton, died Dec. 26, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born March 16, 1909, in Wichita, Kan., a son of Walter F. and Gertrude Partch Stephenson. He was married Oct. 9, 1937, in Fulton, to Esther Crowson, who died Dec. 15, 1998.
He worked for 20 years for the City of Fulton at the power plant until his retirement in 1969. He owned Callaway Cab Company from 1969 to 1974. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Fulton.
Survivors include: two half sisters, Blanche Lyons, Chula Vista, Calif., and May Phillips, Wichita, Kan.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Ron Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday.
THOMAS
Hunter Ryan Thomas, infant son of Ryan and Amanda Norment Thomas, died Dec. 24, 1999, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born Dec. 11, 1999, in Jefferson City. His parents survive.
Other survivors include: paternal grandparents, Jeff and Cheryl Thomas, Jefferson City; maternal grandparents, Doug and Darlene Norment, Jefferson City; paternal great-grandmother, Edna Prenger, Jefferson City; paternal great-grandfather, Nelson Thomas, Jefferson City; maternal great-grandmother, Delphine Tappel Wieberg, Groom, Texas .
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House, Columbia.
HINKLE
Lucille Hinkle, 94, Fulton, died Dec. 26, 1999, at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

LOWE
John C. Lowe, 71, California, died Dec. 27, 1999, at his home.

THOMPSON
Stella Thompson, 91, Russellville, died Dec. 27, 1999, at Ridgecrest Nursing Home, Warrensburg.
She was born July 23, 1908, in Doniphan, a daughter of Lewis and Evelyn Maine Hardcastle. She was married Jan. 1, 1932, to Hadley H. Thompson, who died Sept. 30, 1993.
A homemaker, she was a member of Enon Baptist Church.
Survivors include: four sons, Lloyd Thompson, Fulton, Glen Thompson, Platsmouth, Neb., and Wayne Thompson and Gail Thompson, both of Versailles; three daughters, Coleen Lee, Centerview, and Doris Birdsong and Joyce Monfort, both of Eldon; 28 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Carl Thompson, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Enon Baptist Church. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

WOLFE
Carl Joseph Wolfe Sr., 66, Jefferson City, died Dec. 27, 1999, at his home.
He was born Dec. 20, 1933, in Linn, a son of Joseph H. and Fourthey Lampkin Wolfe. He was married Nov. 27, 1954, in St. Elizabeth, to Viola M. Steinman, who survives at the home.
He attended Linn public schools. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos, and Good Sam Camping Club.
He had been employed at Riverview Cemetery, Gray Brothers Vault Company, and then by Jefferson City Public Schools as head custodian at Jeff Junior High School for the last 13 years until his retirement.
Other survivors include: one son, Carl J. Wolfe Jr., Jefferson City; two daughters, Carolyn Joanna Koetting, Henley, and Cheryl Jean Engelbrecht, Jefferson City; two brothers, Fred J. Wolfe and Edgar Wolfe, both of Jefferson City; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One son, William Henry Wolfe, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos. The Rev. Donald Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Buescher Memorial Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

ASHER
Mildred V. Asher, 96, Jefferson City, died Dec. 25, 1999, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born March 20, 1903, in Salem, a daughter of Charles and Alice Middaugh Hayes. She was married July 3, 1927, in Cuba, to Clyde G. Asher, who died Nov. 6, 1962.
A graduate of Salem High School, she was a homemaker. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1930 and to Jefferson City in 1947.
Survivors include: one daughter, Virginia Haar, Jefferson City; three sons, Harold Asher, Jefferson City, William Asher, Vienna, and Robert Asher, Altamonte Springs, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
One grandson and one great-grandson preceded her in death.
Private graveside services will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
DAVENPORT
Bertha Davenport, 90, Linn Creek, died Dec. 27, 1999, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
She was born Feb. 1, 1909, in Iberia, a daughter of Elbin and Ellen Humphrey Helton. She was married to Thomas Jones, who preceded her in death. She was married to Nelson Davenport, who preceded her in death.
Attending the Dixon Church of Christ, she worked in housekeeping and as a custodian at Fort Leonard Wood. She had lived in Seneca.
Survivors include two sisters, Lottie Fritchey, Seneca, and Mary Ponder, Dixon.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. Harold Withers will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Iberia.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.
