GREMMINGER
Donald Earl Gremminger, 69, Gravios Mills, died Dec. 27, 1999, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
He was born Oct. 20, 1930, in St. Louis, a son of Oliver and Essie Gossage Gremminger. He was married to Patricia Knott, who preceded him in death. He was married to Linda Brown, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran, he was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Other survivors include: six sons, Rick Gremminger, state of South Carolina, Kevin Gremminger, Camdenton, Mark Gremminger and Scott Gremminger, both of Sunrise Beach, and Michael Gremminger and Douglas Gremminger, both of Laurie; three daughters, Kim Sapp, Columbia, Donna Gode, Troy, and Patricia Voigt, Laurie; two brothers, Ralph Gremminger, St. Peters, and Harold Gremminger, O'Fallon; one sister, Marie Radosh, O'Fallon; and 17 grandchildren.
One son, Kenneth Gremminger, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. Jerry Kilpack will officiate. Burial will be in Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery, Laurie.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday.
GILBERT
Martha Louise Gilbert, 81, Tipton, died Dec. 26, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 1, 1918, in Fortuna, a daughter of Cyrus D. and Alpha Ann Turpin Ferguson. She was married Nov. 4, 1937, in Tipton, to Andrew E. Gilbert, who survives.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of the Tipton community.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Tipton.
Other survivors include: one son, Frank Gilbert, Kansas City; two brothers, Bobby Ferguson, California, and Cyrus Ferguson, Scottsdale, Ariz.; three sisters, Dora Fassler, Tipton, Marie Wehmeir, Tulsa, Okla., and Violet Pearl McNutty, Sedalia; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. J. D. Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
MANNING
Emmett P. "Corky" Manning, 66, Ivy Bend, died Dec. 24, 1999, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.
He was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Tarrant City, Ala., a son of Emmett E. and Pearl Parks Manning. He was married Aug. 8, 1959, to Jannie M. Hayes, who survives at home.
A 20-year Air Force veteran, he was fire chief and auxiliary police chief in Knob Noster and worked in security for Alcan Cable, Dresden. He was a member of square dance clubs and was a member of First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge, both in Knob Noster.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Robin L. Manning-Lutzow, Waldorf, Md., and Tammy L. Manning-Blaha, Raytown; two brothers, James O. Manning, Hoover, Ala., and Jerry W. Manning, McFarland, Wis.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday in National Cemetery, Springfield.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie, with military honors at 7 p.m.

McGUIRE
Georgia C. McGuire, 90, Camdenton, died Dec. 25, 1999, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
She was born March 31, 1909, in Independence, a daughter of George W. and Mirtie Jeffry Smith. She was married July 10, 1926, in Kansas City, to Ollie Gene McGuire, who died Nov. 16, 1994.
She was a Kansas City area resident for many years and was a member of Westport Chapter of Eastern Star. In 1962, she moved to the Lake area and worked on the development of Georgene Subdivision. She was a member of Community Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Gene Shumate, Camdenton, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Community Christian Church. The Rev. Tracy Carroll will officiate. Burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Community Christian Church.
Services are under the direction of Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.
ROEHL
Estella F. Roehl, 97, Jefferson City, died Dec. 27, 1999, at Heisinger Lutheran Retirement Home.
She was born Oct. 20, 1902, in Belle, a daughter of Charles and Christina Weller Runge. She was married May 22, 1926, in Columbia, Ill., to Chris A. Roehl, who died June 6, 1961.
She was a lifelong resident of Jefferson City and was employed as a printer with Modern Litho Printing Company for 25 years before her retirement in 1970. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
Survivors include: one son, Winferd C. Roehl, Stuart, Fla.; one sister, Clara Rohlfing, Belle; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at a later date. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Parish Nurse's Position or Heisinger Lutheran Retirement Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
SHAKSTAD
R.D. 'Bob' Shakstad, 78, Linn Creek, formerly of Sioux Falls, S.D., died Dec. 27, 1999, at St. Mary's Health Center, St. Louis.
He was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Sioux Falls, S.D., a son of Oscar and Ila Jones Shakstad. He was married April 24, 1942, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Beverley Bradley, who survives at the home.
He was a member of Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, Osage Beach; South Dakota National Guard; Sioux Falls Elks Club; El Raid Shrine and Masonic Blue Lodge, both of Sioux Falls, S.D.; The Bull Pen and Lake Ozark Shrine Club, both of Osage Beach; and A Bou Ben Adhem Temple, Springfield.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He graduated from Washington High School, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and South Dakota State University, Brookings, S.D. He owned and operated Shakstad Electric and Machine Works, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Shak's Tracks, Linn Creek. He was an appraiser and real estate broker in South Dakota.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Susan Pederson, Edwardsville, Ill., and Penne Layher, St. Charles; one sister, Darlene Ayres, Sioux Falls, S.D.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, S.D. Burial will be in Hills of Rest Memorial Gardens, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, Osage Beach. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospital for Children.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
TUCKER
Henry A. Tucker, 79, Nixa, formerly of Russellville, died Dec. 26, 1999, at Primrose Place, Springfield.
He was a retired postmaster.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stockton Methodist Church. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Southwest Missouri, 1465 Primrose Suite A, Springfield, Mo. 65804; or Aldersgate United Methodist Church Building Fund, 401 Young St., Nixa, Mo. 65714.

WILBERS
Harry B. Wilbers, 66, Centertown, died Dec. 28, 1999, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1933, in Cole County, a son of Theodore and Veronica Libbert Wilbers.
He attended Immaculate Conception School and St. Peters High School in Jefferson City. He worked for the Missouri Department of Health Laboratory for 30 years, retiring in 1990.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Jefferson City. Father Ed Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
HUGHES
Laverne Evelyn Hughes, 84, Stover, died Dec. 29, 1999, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
She was born Dec. 17, 1915, in Camden County, a daughter of Ed and Ethel Hibdon Finley. She was married March 12, 1933, in Versailles, to Harold C. Hughes, who died March 11, 1992.
She worked at Noltings Store in Stover and at Primo Pants in Versailles. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Stover.
Survivors include: three sons, Archie Hughes, Independence, Arnold Hughes, Texarkana, Texas , and Alvin Hughes, Shawnee, Kan.; one daughter, Patsy Maples, Bland; one brother, Lloyd Finley, Grain Valley; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Jim Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Stover Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, Stover.
