SNELLEN
Blanche Snellen, 94, Henley, died March 14, 1999, at her home.
She was born May 13, 1904, in Cole County, a daughter of George B. and Abigail Brunk McKinney. She was married Aug. 8, 1923, in Jefferson City, to Myron Snellen, who died May 1, 1974.
She was a homemaker. She attended Jefferson City High School.
Survivors include: three sons, Robert Snellen and Lawrence Snellen, both of Henley, and Gerald Snellen, Oklahoma City; one daughter, Margaret Lee Allen, Henley; one brother, Gayle McKinney, Mexico; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
One son, Roy Snellen, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Dorothy Lairmore will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
SCHULTE
Jack Henry Schulte, 76, Jefferson City, died March 14, 1999, at his home.
He was born Aug. 6, 1922, in Jefferson City, a son of John H. and Leona Kerperin Schulte.
Survivors include five sisters, Margaret Brethorst, University City, Mary Elizabeth Neumeyer, Cape Girardeau, Jeannette Hurley, St. Louis, Emily Roseman, St. Louis, and Patricia Nolan, Columbus, Ohio, and one brother, Arthur J. Schulte, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald W. Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.
TWENTER
Dorothy Wilma Bellamy Twenter, 84, Sweet Springs, died March 14, 1999, at Brookside Nursing Center, Sweet Springs.
She was born June 9, 1914, in Morgan County, a daughter of Joe L. and Rotha Bell Roe Moore. She was married in 1931 to Frank Bellamy. She was married in 1961 to Richard E. Atkins, who preceded her in death. She was married in 1964 to Erbun Twenter, who died in 1988.
A former Sedalia resident, she was a homemaker. She was Catholic.
Survivors include: two sons, Bill Bellamy, Sweet Springs, and Earl Bellamy, Versailles; two brothers, Johnny Moore and Lloyd Moore, both of Sedalia; two sisters, Lottie Pease, Sedalia, and Mary Mae Spears, state of California; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
AILOR
Edgar I. Ailor, Jr., 80, Jefferson City, died March 15, 1999, in Columbia.
He was born Dec. 13, 1918, in Peculiar, a son of the Rev. and Mrs. Edgar I. Ailor Sr. He was married Feb. 7, 1942, in Advance, to Kathleen Johnson, who survives at the home.
He received a bachelor's degree in music from Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, and a master's degree in guidance and counseling from the University of Michigan.
He worked in the education field for 45 years. He was a band and choral director for seven years at Portagerville and six years at Caruthersville. He was a counselor for six years at Cape Girardeau. In 1965, he came to the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a guidance supervisor, retiring in 1983. From 1983 to1997, he worked part-time for the Department of Education as military liaison.
He was a veteran of World War II. He remained active in the USAR and Missouri National Guard from 1946 to 1983.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Masonic Order, American Legion, Retired Teachers, A.V.A. Missouri Vocational Association and the Missouri Counselors Association.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Nancy K. Curtis, Hayti; two sons, Edgar I. Ailor III, Columbia, and James I. Ailor, Seoul, Korea; two sisters, Chloe Wilson, Jefferson City, and Betty Carl, Mount Vernon; one brother, the Rev. James W. Ailor, Baton Rouge, La.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gene Rooney will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, Jefferson City.
BAGBY
Ernest Ray Bagby, 63, Fulton, died March 13, 1999, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.
He was born Dec. 3, 1935, in Jefferson City, a son of James and Henrietta Holmes Galbreath. His mother survives in Fulton. He was married to Reba Tolliver, who preceded him in death.
He graduated from Lincoln University Laboratory High School and served in the Air Force. He was a bus driver for Fulton public schools and a member of St. James United Methodist Church, Fulton.
A former resident of Los Angeles, he returned to Fulton in 1996.
Other survivors include: one son, Travon Bagby, Los Angeles; two daughters, Vicki Williams and Tyra Bagby, both of Los Angeles; six brothers, James Galbreath Jr. and Tony Galbreath, both of Fulton, Fred Galbreath, Little Rock, Ark., Don Galbreath, Jefferson City, Jack Galbreath, Evanston, Ill., and Randolph Galbreath, New Bloomfield; six sisters, Sharron Kelly and Alice Jean Grant, both of Columbia, and Barbara Logan, Peggy Pemberston, Sandra Griffin, and Bettye Drivers, all of Jefferson City; and several grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James United Methodist Church, Fulton. The Rev. Craig Galbreath will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Warren Funeral Home, Fulton.
BIRKES
Carolyn McLaughlin Birkes, 45, Columbia, died March 15, 1999, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.
She was born Jan. 12, 1954, in Jackson, Mich., a daughter of John M. and Therese Eileen Schultz McLaughlin. Her mother survives in Jackson. She was married June 29, 1974, in Jackson, to Keith Allen Birks, who survives.
She received a bachelor's degree from Stephens College. She worked at Columbia Regional Library, then taught art at Hickman High School. She operated a studio called Art Concepts. She was director of the Columbia Art Council, executive director of the Columbia Art League and manager of Columbia Regional Hospital's gift shop. She was past president of the Neo Fight Organization at University Hospital and Clinics. She assisted the executive director of the Missouri Bar Association. She was a member of the Stephens College Alumni Association and of First Presbyterian Church, Columbia.
Other survivors include: one son, Clayton Miar Birkes, Columbia; Lara Katherine Birkes, Montana; one brother, John Miar McLaughlin Jr., Jackson; and one sister, JaneEllen McLaughlin Saums, Cairo, Egypt.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Charles Dreyer will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will follow services.

CEBULAK
Wyatt Joseph Cebulak, infant son of Troy and Dana Leeper Cebulak, Tebbetts, was stillborn March 14, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
His parents survive at the home.
Other survivors include: one sister, Brittni Cebulak, of the home; grandparents, Bob and Sharon Leeper, Hermann, and the Rev. Dennis and Bonnie Cebulak, Morley; and great-grandparents, Walter and Irene Eggert, Hermann, and Betty Ritchey, Cuba.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Hermann. The Rev. Dennis Cebulak will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

FOX
Glenn Wayne Fox, 55, Fulton, died March 14, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 20, 1943, in Audrain County, a son of William H. and Mary Newsom Fox. His mother, Mary Johnson, survives in Fulton.
An Army veteran, he was a self-employed carpenter.
Other survivors include: one son, Kevin Wayne Fox, state of Texas ; three sisters, Carol Blackwell, Columbia, Melissa Evans, Mexico, and Linda Browning, Williamsburg; and two brothers, John Fox Sr., and Roy Fox, both of Fulton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. George Braden will officiate. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

HIX
Marjorie Catherine Hix, 91, Iberia, died March 13, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Nov. 11, 1907, in Iberia, a daughter of George and Katie Morrow Mace. She was married Nov. 26, 1932, in Berryville, Ark., to Gail R. Hix, who died Aug. 24, 1951.
A graduate of the Iberia Academy and Central Missouri State University, she taught for five years in a rural school. She taught for 19 years at School of the Osage and 21 years in the Iberia school district. She was named an Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America in 1973.
A lifelong resident of Miller County, she was a member of Iberia Congregational Christian Church for more than 75 years. She was Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and church organist. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Missouri and the Miller County Historical Society.
She is survived by one niece, Melinda Hagerman, Rockford, Ill.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Wayne Cogell and Ellis Livingston will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today.
LEE
Doyne H. Lee, 84, Jefferson City, died March 15, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born July 13, 1914, in Jefferson County, a daughter of Frederick and Emma Barfield Lee. She was married Jan. 3, 1946, in St. Louis, to Robert E. Lee, who died March 5, 1988.
She attended school in Jefferson County and had lived in Central Missouri area since 1946. She was a beautician.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a past president of the Jefferson City Chapter of the National Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Norfleet, Jefferson City, and one sister, Mildred Hawkins, Duluth, Ga.
Private graveside services will be Wednesday in Bethlehem Cemetery, Jefferson County. The Rev. Mark McMullin will officiate.
