LINDENBUSCH
Emil B. Lindenbusch, 80, St. Elizabeth, died March 15, 1999, at Boone Hospital, Columbia.
He was born Dec. 12, 1918, in St. Elizabeth, a son of Stephen and Mathilda Evers Lindenbusch. He was married Feb. 2, 1957, in St. Elizabeth to Mary Ann Bellinghausen, who survives at the home.
He was a lifelong resident of St. Elizabeth and attended St. Elizabeth School. A World War II veteran, he was employed by the St. Elizabeth MFA Cooperative Association for 35 years, until his retirement in 1981.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was commander of St. Elizabeth Memorial American Legion Post 545 and a member of VFW Post 2442, Eldon. He served on the St. Lawrence Catholic Church council, the St. Elizabeth Community Center board, the CMAAA board, the St. Elizabeth Care Center development board and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Industrial Development Corporation.
Other survivors include, one son, Martin A. Lindenbusch, St. Elizabeth, and one brother, Albert H. Lindenbusch, St. Elizabeth.
One daughter, Stephanie Ann Lindenbusch, died in 1985.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. John Degnan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, St. Elizabeth, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
MARRIOTT
Edith L. Marriott, 82, Versailles, died March 14, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 1, 1916, in Lee's Summit, a daughter of John and Amanda Graves Vickers. She was married to Eric Martin, who died in April 1948. She was married June 19, 1958, in Camdenton, to Everett Marriott, who died Feb. 1, 1981.
She worked at the Kansas City Bifocal Plant, Versailles. She also worked for the Morgan County R-II school district, the Primo Pants Factory and with the Green Thumb project, all of Versailles.
Survivors include: two sons, Bill Martin, Versailles, and John Martin, state of California; one daughter, Shirley Gardner, Versailles; two sisters, Nellie Costello, Prairie Village, Kan., and Marie Allred, Greer, South Carolina; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
MULLINS
Krystal Dawn Dore Mullins, 24, Versailles, died March 14, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Aug. 1, 1974, in Springfield, a daughter of Michael and Eva Storment Dore. Her mother survives in Versailles. Her father survives in Carthage.
She was employed at Sav-A-Lot Grocery Store, near Versailles.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Courtland Mullins and Shenee Daulton, both of the home; one brother, Kelly Dore, Marshall; one sister, Denise Dore, Versailles; and her fiance, Aaron Daulton, of the home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Roy Bennett will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to a fund being established for her daughters.
RITTER
Joseph F. Ritter Sr., 86, Chamois, died March 15, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
He was born March 27, 1912, in St. Louis County, a son of Joseph F. and Louise Meyer Ritter. He was married Nov. 24, 1936, in St. Louis, to Cornelia Elizabeth Walker, who died April 11, 1987.
He attended St. Louis schools and was a self-employed greenhouse operator in St. Louis and Chamois. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Chamois, and a former member of the University City Lions Club.
Survivors include: four sons, Bernard Ritter, Richmond, Mich., Joseph Ritter Jr., Chamois, Paul Ritter, St. Elizabeth, and David Ritter, St. Louis; one brother, Lawrence Ritter, St. Louis; three sisters, Martha Knobbe, Sister Clara Ritter and Sister Martha Ritter, all of St. Louis; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
One son, William Ritter, died Dec. 27, 1944.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Pat Dowling will officiate. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer-Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Chamois, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Peru Missions or to a charity of the donor's choice.
SLOAN
Frona May Sloan, 86, Dixon, died March 15, 1999, at Balanced Care Center, Dixon.
She was born July 4, 1912, near Dixon, a daughter of Joshua J. and Maggie Copeland Davis. She was married to Clell Sloan, who died Jan. 21, 1989.
She co-owned a shoe repair business in Dixon for more than 50 years.
Survivors include: three sons, Wayne Sloan and LeRoy Sloan, both of Dixon, and Steve Sloan, Jefferson City; two daughters, Lorene Carter, Springfield, and Willow Johnson, Middlebrook; two sisters, Irene Burgess and Velma Nichols, both of Dixon; two brothers, Ernest Davis, Dixon, and Edward Dvais, Fenton; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Long Funeral Home, Dixon. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.
TURNER
Ruby M. Turner, 86, Eldon, died March 13, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Oct. 19, 1912, in Omaha, Ill., a daughter of C.W. and Florence Ruth Bryant McKinnis. She was married May 1, 1936, in Boonville, to George A. Turner, who died in 1976.
She was a clerk at General Electric, St. Louis, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Chapter 210, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a honorary member of the NARV.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Moberly.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church, Eldon.
WHITTLE
Donna J. Whittle, 64, Brumley, died March 14, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
She was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Brumley, a daughter of Jabe and Cleo McDowell Cochran. She was married July 14, 1952, to Farris Whittle, who died May 8, 1983.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Iberia.
Survivors include: one son, Timmy Whittle, Brumley; five daughters, Beverly Hensley, Joyce Ash and Judy Whittle, all of Lake Ozark, Tammy Duncan, Iberia, and Jane Jeffries, Brumley; one stepson, Earl Gene Whittle, McAllen, Texas ; one brother, Dennis Cochran, Crocker; one sister, Susie Conrad, Kansas City; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. The Rev. Lee Todd will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.
DEBELS
Evelyn M. Debels, 59, Sunrise Beach, died March 15, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
She was born March 17, 1939, in Vinkt, Belgium, a daughter of Roger and Gabrielle VanOost Coene. She was married Sept. 26, 1959, to Marc Debels, who survives at the home.
She worked at Westside Senior Center, Laurie, and was a Catholic.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Meeka Wilt, Shawnee, Kan.; two brothers, Paul Coene Behaegels and Marc Coene Claes, both of Belgium; three sisters, Greta Coene VanRyseghem, Rosa Coene Claes and Vera Coene Verstraete, all of Belgium; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. Cremation will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Westside Senior Center, Laurie.
KENDRICK
Obe Kendrick, 76, California, died March 16, 1999, at California Care Center.
He was born June 15, 1922, in Clarksburg, a son of Robert and Martha Phelan Kendrick. He was married Jan. 24, 1946, in Wichita, Kan., to Virginia R. Kueffer, who survives at the home.
He attended school in Clarksburg and was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a laborer in the construction industry.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Carolyn Mertens and Marilyn Wolfe, both of Jefferson City, and Patty Weiberg and Debbie Turner, both of California; five sons, Norris Kendrick, of the home, Gary Kendrick, state of Kentucky, Albert Kendrick and Jim Kendrick, both of California, and John Kendrick, Bunceton; one brother, Paul Kendrick, Clarksburg; 14 grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Two infant sons preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Peter M. Kurowski and the Rev. Ivan Dameron will officiate. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Lutheran Ministry.
QUICK
Paul Quick, 71, Gravois Mills, died March 15, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Aug. 28, 1927, in Warsaw, a son of Elmer and Kate Wilson Quick. He was married Aug. 18, 1972, to Wilma J. Surface, who survives at the home.
He was a truck driver for Time D.C. Freightline, Kansas City. He was a member of Teamsters Local 41, Kansas City, and Odd Fellows Lodge, Windsor. An Army and Navy veteran, he was a member of Zack Wheat American Legion Post 624, Sunrise Beach; .
Other survivors include: one son, Eddie Quick, Windsor; one daughter, Pam Bartlett, Leesville; three stepdaughters, Barbara Gatewood, Sunrise Beach, Glenda Brown, Independence, and Lorne Bybee, Jefferson City; one brother, Chester Elwood Quick, state of California; two sisters, Alice Dalton, Tonganoxie, Kan., and Mable Jane Fairchild, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. The Rev. John Edwards will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery, Laurie.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
