MEBRUER
Adeline Mebruer, 94, Rich Fountain, died Jan. 21, 2000, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.
She was born Sept. 21, 1905, in Freeburg, a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Reichel Talken. He was married Jan. 25, 1928, in St. Louis, to Herman C. Mebruer Sr., who died Jan. 3, 1997.
A homemaker, she was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Rich Fountain, St. Ann's Sodality, and Sacred Heart Ladies Sewing Circle.
Survivors include: two sons, Clarence Mebruer and Herman "Tubby" Mebruer, both of Rich Fountain; one sister, Lena Mebruer, Linn; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
One son, Alfred Mebruer, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Donald Lammers, the Rev. Sylvester Bauer and the Rev. James Finder will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery, Rich Fountain.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the church, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
KIRKWEG
Flora Ann Kirkweg, 78, St. Thomas, died Jan. 21, 2000, at Boone Hospital Center.
She was born Aug. 9, 1921, in St. Thomas, a daughter of Anton J. and Alma Mary Lueckenotto Boessen. She was married Nov. 13, 1945, in St. Thomas, to Anton Frank Kirkweg, who died Dec. 19, 1971.
She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Ann's Sodality, and the church quilting circle. She worked at Oppenheimer Factory, Meta, Oberman's Manufacturing, Jefferson City, and Von Hoffmann Press, Jefferson City.
Survivors include: one son, Virgil W. Kirkweg, St. Thomas; three daughters, Jane M. Lindenbusch, St. Thomas, Cecelia E. Heckman and Bernice B. Kirkweg, both of Jefferson City; three brothers, John Boessen, Norbert Boessen and David Boessen, all of St. Thomas; three sisters, Bernadine E. Bax, St. Elizabeth, Agnes M. Benne, St. Peters, and Sister Anne C. Boessen, St. Thomas; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Father Don Antweiler and Msgr. Bernard Boessen will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and from 9-10:45 a.m. Monday, both at St. Thomas Knights of Columbus Hall.
Memorials are suggested to St. Thomas the Apostle Church and School.

BARTLETT
Daniel Brook Bartlett, 62, Kansas City, died Jan. 21, 2000, at his home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1937, in Kansas City, a son of Francis W. and Julia Jackman Bartlett. He was married to Karen M. Iverson, who survives at the home.
Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District, he was chairman of the board of trustees of the Linda Hall Library, Kansas City, and a member of the board of St. Luke's Hospital Foundation.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Julia Bartlett, Santa Fe, N.M., Amanda Bartlett Mook, Jefferson City, and Polly Bartlett, Hannibal; one son, Linton Bartlett, Jefferson City; one brother, Edward Bartlett, Putney, Vt.; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. A private graveside service will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Linda Hall Library or the Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit of St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mount Moria and Freeman Funeral Home, Kansas City.
FORBIS
Helen M. Forbis, 83, Tebbetts, died Jan. 22, 2000, at Beverly Health Care Center.
She was born Dec. 10, 1916, in Kansas, a daughter of Thomas and Lucinda Morehead Dorsey. She was married June 9, 1936, in Jefferson City, to Perry Calvin Forbis, who died Oct. 10, 1990.
She attended Hickory Grove School and was a homemaker.
Survivors include: one son, Dick Forbis, Jefferson City; one daughter, Patty Kemp, Tebbetts; one sister, Mary Jacobs, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary, Jefferson City. Graveside services will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
HOLMES
Garrett A. Holmes III, 38, Overland died, Jan. 20, 2000, at the DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton.
He was born Nov. 3, 1961, the son of Garrett Jr. and Rita Reiff Holmes in Kirkwood. His father and stepmother, Garret Jr. and Marjorie Holmes, survive in Lake Ozark.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Lake Memorial Garden Cemetery Columbarium.

LINDSEY
Maxine Helen Lindsey, 77, Granite City, Ill., formerly of St. Elizabeth, died Jan. 20, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Granite City.
She was born Aug. 12, 1922, in St. Elizabeth, a daughter of George and Grace Setser Wickham. She was married to Merrill Lindsey, who died April 5, 1994.
A member of the Pentecostal Faith, she worked as a school bus driver for Laidlaw Transit Company.
Survivors include: one son, Darryll Lindsey, Alton, Ill.; four daughters, Audrey Stubblefield, Granite City, Linda Cheung, Madison, Ill., Marilyn Johnson, Glen Carbon, Ill., and Georgina Lindsey, Alton, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Burial will be in Livingston Cemetery, Iberia.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Werner-Mick Funeral Home, Pontoon Beach, Ill., and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home.
ROBINETTE
E. Pauline Robinette, 78, Buckner, formerly of Eugene, died Jan. 21, 2000, at St. Marys Hospital, Blue Springs.
She was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Henley, a daughter of Lorenzo D. and Lillie Pope Spalding.
A homemaker, she was a member of Henley Baptist Church.
Survivors include: four daughters, Janice Gulley, Raytown, Norma Franklin, Kansas City, Erma Wallace, Independence, Wilma Keepper, Lake Winnebago; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Eugene Cemetery, Eugene.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
RUSSLER
Evelyn Dorothy Russler, 90, St. Elizabeth, formerly of Meta, died Jan. 21, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
She was born Oct. 13, 1909, in Meta, a daughter of Charles and Anna Mamie Brinkman Russler.
She was a member of the Evangelical Faith.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Meta. The Rev. Don Maples will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Owensville City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday.
WYLIE
J.E. "John" Wylie, 74, Jefferson City, died Jan. 22, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 1, 1925, in Sweet Springs, a son of Paul A. and Marie Elsner Wylie. He was married in 1945, in Maplewood, to Agnes J. Schulz, who survives at the home.
A graduate of Sweet Springs High School, he attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and Oregon State University and was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. He worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation where he organized the Natural History Division. He was a founder of the Missouri Native Plant Society and the Walnut Council, a national forest products organization. A guest lecturer at the University of Missouri's School of Forestry and a Fellow of the Society of American Foresters, he was named the Professional Conservationist of the Year in 1987 by the Conservation Federation of Missouri. In addition, he was a deacon, elder and Sunday School teacher at First Presbyterian Church, Jefferson City, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Warrenton.
Other survivors include: five sons, Paul Wylie, Allegan, Mich., Mark Wylie, Winter Springs, Fla., Bruce Wylie, Jefferson City, Glenn Wylie, Vacaville, Calif., and David Wylie, Redmond, Wash.; one sister, Mary Ann Scott, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. R.W. Beard will officiate. Graveside services with military honors will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery, Sweet Springs.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Jefferson City, and from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church.

DAY
Lorain Day, 81, Russellville, died Jan. 22, 2000, at her home.
She was born June 14, 1918, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Albert and Isabel Carson Robinett. She was married Jan. 31, 1933, in Jefferson City, to John Albert Day, who died Sept. 23, 1990.
She attended Park School in Jefferson City and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Roy Sone Post 1003 and St. Peter Church.
Survivors include: one son, Donald E. Day, Trenton, Miss.; two daughters, Melba Burton, Brighton, Ill., and Alberta Gallagher, Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Margaret Roth, Shawnee Mission, Kan., Ellen Shubert, Shawnee, Kan., and Evelyn Smith, Columbia; one brother, James V. Robinett, Jefferson City; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Two children, Albert Edward Day Jr. and Mabel Day, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Church, with the Rev. R. William Peckman officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Freeman Mortuary.
