SCOTT

L.D. Scott, 63, Belton, died March 15, 1999, at Kansas City VA Medical Center, Kansas City.

He was born March 26, 1935, in California, a son of Luther F. and Melba E. Leonard Scott.

He was a heavy equipment operator and worked for several construction companies. He was a member of Flag Spring Baptist Church, southwest of California. A former Sedalia resident, he was a member of the VFW in Sedalia,and Belton. He attended Clarksburg High School. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include: two sons, Rick Scott, Sublette, Kan., and Karry Scott, Sedalia; two daughters, Devenia Scott and Tabitha Scott, both of Sedalia; two brothers, James Scott, Kansas City, and Gary Scott, Charleston, Ill.; one sister, Ruth Kell, Sedalia; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Bruce Campbell will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Flag Spring Cemetery, near California.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the family of L.D. Scott, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 South Oak St., California, Mo. 65108; or a charity of the donor's choice.

WHALEN

Services were March 2 for Adeline Clytie Whalen, 87, Garden Grove, Calif., formerly of  Jefferson City, who died Feb. 23, 1999, at Pacific Haven Rest Home, Garden Grove, Calif.

She was born April 30, 1911, in Bentonville, a daughter of Sidney and Margaret Hunter Harris. She was married Nov. 20, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Frank Whalen Jr., who survives at the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Joyce Castrop, Holts Summit; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Westminster, Calif.

Arrangements were under the direction of Westminster Memorial Park Chapel, Westminster, Calif.

WOLFE

Richard N. Wolfe, 76, Taos, died March 15, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Linn, a son of Joseph and Fourthy Lampke Wolfe. He was married Dec. 6, 1942, in Fulton, to Annabelle Potts, who survives at the home.

He attended Linn public schools. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver for Orscheln Trucking and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos.

Other survivors include: four sons, Richard L. Wolfe and Randy D. Wolfe, both of  Jefferson City, Ronald C. Wolfe, St. Louis, and Roger G. Wolfe, Maple Valley, Wash.; one daughter, Brenda Brennan, St. Louis; three brothers, Edgar Wolfe and Fred Wolfe, both of  Jefferson City, and Carl Wolfe, Taos; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Larry G. Wolfe.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos. The Rev. Kevin Clohessy will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home,  Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 5 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center.

BRONDEL

Mary Ann Brondel, 85, Centertown, died March 17, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Aug. 17, 1913, in Cole County, a daughter of John B. and Jo-sephine Lackamp Schroer. She was married Sept. 4, 1940, in  Jefferson City, to Ralph J. Brondel, who died Jan. 17, 1998.

She was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church, St. Martins.

Survivors include: one son, Bernard Brondel, Centertown; one daughter, Ruth Brondel-Eisterhold,  Jefferson City; one brother, Joseph Schroer, Centertown; two sisters, Mildred Utrecht, Centertown, and Sister Joseph Bernard-Schroer, San Antonio, Texas ; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at noon Friday at St. Martins Catholic Church. The Rev. Edwin Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Martins Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

DOHOGNE

Betty Lou Dohogne, 68, Lake Ozark, died March 15, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born June 16, 1930, in Borger, Texas , a daughter of Wesley and Lucille Woods Farmer. She was married to Albert Dohogne, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Salvation Army in  Jefferson City. She was a former member of the Southwest Nazarene Church, Dexter. She was former owner of Reflections in Hair Styling, West Chicago, Ill.

Survivors include: one son, Charles Dohogne, Plano, Ill.; six daughters, Diane Ake, Lake Ozark, Deborah Fenske, Waterman, Ill., Rebecca Ziegert, St. Charles, Ill., Joy DuPrey and Paula Christian, both of the state of Missouri, and Cindy Dohogne, Lombard, Ill.; one sister, Pauline White , Washington ; 35 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, Villa Park, Ill. Todd Thielke will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Ill.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Salvation Army.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.

HUMMEL

Evelyn Hummel, 84, Osage Beach, died March 16, 1999, at her home.

She was born Nov. 9, 1915, in Chicago, a daughter of William and Louise Gunther Rhode. She was married May 11, 1935, in Chicago, to Earl Phillip Hummel, who died Nov. 2, 1994.

She co-owned a tavern in Belleville, Ill., and worked in several Lake area restaurants. She attended Lake area Catholic churches.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Valhalla Cemetery, Belleville.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach, and from 6-8 Friday at Renner Funeral Home, Belleville.

KRAXBERGER

Otto Michael Kraxberger, 93, Stover, died March 17, 1999, at Westphalia Retirement Center.

He was born June 8, 1905, in Stover, a son of Michael F. and Augusta Wilkins Kraxberger. He was married Oct. 20, 1926, in Harlan, Iowa, to Lillian Josephine Hunter, who survives at the home.

He was a lifelong farmer and participated in University of Missouri research projects. He received awards for his work in advancing farming including the University of Missouri College of Agriculture Centennial Medallion.

He was a member of Stover United Methodist Church, where he was an office holder. He was a charter member of the Central Missouri chapter of the National Farmers Organization, and a 50-year member of the Stover Lions Club, where he was an office holder.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Clark, Bogue, Kan., and Mary Lou Gillilan,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Alma Marie Hurley, Forsyth, and Hilda Ella Marker, Versailles; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Otto Kraxberger and Billy Dean Kraxberger, and one infant daughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stover United Methodist Church. The Rev. Diane Cutler will officiate. Burial will be in Stover Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.

Memorials are suggested to Stover United Methodist Church.

LEE

Randy W. Lee, 47, California, died March 17, 1999, at his home.

He was born July 17, 1951, in Ballinger, Texas , a son of Claude O. and Beverlee Rose Lesten Lee. His mother survives at the home.

He attended Mar Vista High School, Imperial Beach, Calif.. He owned Lee's Painting. He was a Baptist.

Other survivors include: one son, Nathan William Lee,  Jefferson City; two brothers, David Lee and Steven Lee, both of California; three sisters, Cathy Rooney, California, Cindy Mehling, Holts Summit, and Beverlee Forbis,  Jefferson City.

Services will be in Bronte, Texas , at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.

MUICH

John S. Muich, 88, Laurie, died March 17, 1999, at Laurie Knolls Care Center.

He was born June 23, 1910, in St. Louis, a son of John and Dora Muich.

A former St. Louis resident, he worked as a bottler at Anheuser-Busch. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Anheuser-Busch Benevolent Society.

He is survived by two nieces, Jean Frees, Camdenton, and Dorothy Pollard, Green Bay, Wis., and two nephews, Bobby Muich and Joey Muich, both of St. Louis.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Hoffmeister Funeral Home, St. Louis.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

SCHUTT

Elaine Agatha Behrens Schutt, 87,  Jefferson City, died March 15, 1999, at Westphalia Retirement Center.

She was born Feb. 23, 1912, in Kaskaskia Island, Ill., a daughter of Roy J. and Ada Morrison Thomas. She was married Dec. 6, 1942, in St. Louis, to Henry Behrens Jr., who died June 3, 1977. She was married Nov. 20, 1989, in  Jefferson City, to Jackson E. Schutt, who died Dec. 21, 1993.

A graduate of St. Marys High School, she was a legal secretary for Herman W. Huber and Thomas A. Huber for 25 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one brother, Morrison G. Thomas, Puyallup, Wash.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Russell Heights Cemetery, Jackson.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church.
