KOPP
Lois Kopp, 89, Osage Beach, died Feb. 1, 2000, at Osage Beach Health Care Center.
She was born Dec. 27, 1910, in Brookfield, a daughter of Albert and Jenny Campion Deem. She was married to Anthony Joseph Kopp Jr., who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Kansas City.
She is survived by two nieces, JoAnn Spence and Elaine Roelker, both of Camdenton.
Services will be at a later date in Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kan. The body was cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
LEECH
Ruby Frances Leech, 56, California, died Feb. 2, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Jan. 10, 1944, in Moniteau County, a daughter of Wesley and Gertrude Pennington Dillon. She was married Oct. 19, 1963, in California, to Loyd Leech, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Assembly of God Church, California.
Other survivors include: four sons, David Lee Leech, Jerry Dale Leech and Duane Edward Leech, all of California, and Roger Allen Leech, Sedalia; one brother, Golder Wesley Dillon, California; one sister, Darlene Kaiser, New Franklin; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 am. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Steve Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Jamestown.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
LYNES
Clayton Earl Lynes, 82, Jefferson City, died Feb. 2, 2000, at Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid Missouri Friendship House.
He was born July 20, 1917, in Guthrie, a son of David and Mary MacIntosh Lynes. He was married Jan. 21, 1939, in Jefferson City, to Anna Mae Propst, who survives at the home.
A 1935 graduate of New Bloomfield High School, he owned and operated Lynes Auto Service since 1954. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Joyce Ann Beckley, Jefferson City, and Gayla Sue Jungmeyer, North Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid Missouri.
PROPST
George Alfred Propst, 83, Jefferson City, died Feb. 2, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 3, 1916, in Honey Creek, a son of Louis F. and Julia Schubert Propst. He was married March 25, 1939, in Honey Creek to Mamie Schubert, who survives at the home.
He worked for Tweedie Footwear for 25 years. He then was employed at the Missouri Highway Patrol Headquarters until his retirement in 1978 as head of maintenance.
He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Honey Creek, where he served as an elder and trustee. He was a charter member and past president of the Honey Creek/Brazito Lions Club.
He owned Propst Trailer Court.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Marilyn Sommerer, Jefferson City; two sons, Glen Propst and Larry Propst, both of Jefferson City; one sister, Alice Weber, Jefferson City; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Russell Bowder will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Immanuel Lutheran School.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
REED
Roberta L. Reed, 67, Kaiser, died Feb. 1, 2000, at her home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1933, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Robert and Vaneta Bonney Durham.
A homemaker, she was a member of Montgomery Southern Baptist Church, Greenview.
Survivors include: one son, Clint Reed, Greeley, Colo.; two daughters, Venita Reed and Allen Ashlock, both of Camdenton, and Jane Reed, Kaiser; one sister, Billie Zimmerman, Lowell, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Baptist Church, Osage Beach. The Rev. H.J. Quinn will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
SMITH
Adeline Smith, 88, Osage Beach, died Feb. 1, 2000, at Osage Beach Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 31, 1911, in Mountain Iron, Minn., a daughter of Duffy and Ruth Beard Archebald. She was married Nov. 30, 1936, to Russell Smith, who died March 31, 1994.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: one son, Allan Smith, Evanston, Wyo.; one daughter, Lois Muff, Osage Beach; two brothers; two sisters; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Donald Smith and Jerry Smith, preceded her in death.
Services will be at a later date. The body was cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
WHITTLE
Tiffany Marie Whittle, 8, Rolla, formerly of Jefferson City, died Feb. 1, 2000, at Gingerbread House, Rolla.
She was born Jan. 14, 1992, in Columbia, a daughter of Marilyn Whittle and Michael Cochran, who survive.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Null & Son Funeral Home, Rolla. The Rev. Russ Summers will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Iberia.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Louis Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis or the Special Learning Center in Jefferson City.
BAUGHMAN
Opal Baughman, 85, Eldon, died Feb. 1, 2000, at Eldon Health Care Center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1914, in Miller County, a daughter of Drew and Maude Corrnet.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: Shirley Parkhurst, Independence; two sons, Charles Baughman, Chillicothe, and James Baughman, state of Wyoming; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Bill Baughman and Tom Baughman, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Gene Cain will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to Country Valley Home, St. James.
HENTGES
Les Hentges, 69, Vienna, died Feb. 3, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born May 27, 1930, in Humboldt, S.D., a son of Henry and Jeanette Andrews Hentges. He was married Sept. 23, 1974, in St. Louis, to Mabel Skaggs, who survives at the home.
He was an electronic engineer for McDonnell Douglas, St. Louis, specializing in avionics, retiring in 1985 after 35 years.
An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of VFW Post 8045, Argyle.
He was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna.
Other survivors include: one son, John Hopkins, St. Louis; two daughters, Terry Stieg, Shorewood, Ill., and Lisa-Jean Heresz, Rolla; three brothers, Donald Hentges, Humboldt, Francis Hentges, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Virgil Hentges, Ocean Springs, Miss.; two sisters, Elizabeth Klass, Glendale, Ariz., and Flora Stoner, Paress, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One son, Andrew Hentges, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Visitation Catholic Church. The Rev. John Schmitz will officiate. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also will be from 8-9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
