HUFF
Paul E. Huff, 85, Versailles, died Feb. 2, 2000, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1914, near Versailles, a son of George F. and Arletta Musick Huff.
He was a farmer and a house painter.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was awarded two Bronze Stars.
He is survived by one sister, Dora Huff, Versailles.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Todd Forman will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, near Versailles.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
MANLEY
Daisy Cheyenne Lee Manley, infant daughter of Shawn D. and Angel Bernice Smith Manley, Lohman, died Feb. 2, 2000, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
She was born Nov. 4, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics. Her parents survive at the home.
Other survivors include: maternal grandparents, Larry and Maria Smith, Lohman; paternal grandparents, Dwain Manley and James and Carolyn Ketcherside, all of Jefferson City; maternal great-grandparents, Fred and Lisa Barnoske, Burley, Idaho, James Holder, McGirk, and Genevieve Smith, Jefferson City; paternal great-grandparents, Clinton and Euna Dodson, Harrison, Ark., and Addie Ketcherside, Fort Meyers, Fla.; maternal great-great-grandparents, Marie Barnoske and Agnes Forbes, both of the state of Michigan; and paternal great-great-grandparents, Alma Canady and Ava Dodson, both of Harrison.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. Gary Ostercamp will officiate. Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

HARDER
Elizabeth L. Harder, 75, Columbia, formerly of California, Mo., died Feb. 2, 2000, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born July 10, 1924, in Kansas City, Kan., a daughter of Robert and Edna Sanders McKelvy. She was married Aug. 7, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo., to Raymond Harder, who died Jan. 4, 1998.
A retired state employee, she was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, California, and the church's Quilting Club.
Survivors include: one son, Ray Harder, Columbia; one daughter, Rita Johnson, Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, William McKelvy, Kansas City, and Bernard McKelvy, Cocoa Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One son, Roger Harder, died in 1976.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Henry Reichert will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
LeCURU
Willard Leslie LeCuru, 78, Jefferson City, died Feb. 4, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 1, 1921, in Bonnots Mill, a son of Walter and Elizabeth Pauline Melcher LeCuru. He was married Dec. 8, 1945, in Jefferson City, to Helen Marie Roseger, who died Jan. 26, 1997.
He attended schools in Bonnots Mill and served in the Navy during World War II.
He was employed with Balkenhol Roofing Co. for 27 years and then with ABC Windows and Doors Co. for 17 years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Elston.
Survivors include: one son, Richard Leslie LeCuru, Jefferson City; one daughter, Sandra Sue Ford, Jefferson City; two sisters, Ruby Miller, Jefferson City, and Opal Groves, state of Colorado; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One daughter, Tammy Lynn LeCuru, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Earl Hoskins will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, Elston, or the American Cancer Society.
STEVENS
Ansell Stevens, 78, Eldon, died Feb. 3, 2000, at his home.
He was born June 29, 1921, near High Point, a son of Ray and Grace Francis Stevens. He was married May 27, 1940, to Ruby Wiser, who survives in Independence. He was married March 31, 1988, in Miami, Okla., to Helen P. Teegarden DeGraffenreid, who survives at the home.
He worked at Johnnie Ward's dairy farm, Eldon Skelgas for 19 years. He also worked for the Department of Corrections' dairy farm. He was a member of Greenridge Baptist Church near Olean, where he was bulletin bearer.
Other survivors include: one son, Lester Stevens, Independence; one daughter, Joyce Wallace, Eldon; four stepdaughters, Donna Schulp, Jamestown, Marsha Callahan, Eldon, Patricia Saling, Russellville, and Belinda Hensley, Eldon; one stepson, Richard Humbard, Eldon; one sister, Florence McGuire, Lawrence, Kan.; four grandchildren, 14 step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
Two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Bob Hoskins will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri River Hospice in Jefferson City, or to Greenridge Baptist Church.
HAYS
Maurice Eugene Hays, 73, Readsville, died Feb. 2, 2000, at his home.
He was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Portland, a son of Charles W. and Anna Belle Hoover Hays.
Survivors include: four brothers, David Hays, Fulton, Jim Hays, Bellflower, Tom Hays, Wellsville, and Robert Hays, Anamosa, Iowa; five sisters, Violet Nettles, Fulton, Joann Maddox and Ruth Burts, both of Wellsville, Grace Dingeldine, Centertown, and Darlene Dingeldine, Hughesville.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bethel Cemetery, Readsville.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2 p.m. Monday at the graveside.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
NICKELL
Cecil Franklin Nickell, 79, Chillicothe, died Feb. 3, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 16, 1920, in Green Castle, a son of Ben and Mabel Bollinger Nickell. He was married Jan. 1, 1959, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Norma Boulware, who survives at the home.
He was a 1939 graduate of Green City High School and an Army veteran of World War II. He retired in 1987 as maintenance supervisor for the city of Kansas City. He attended the Church of the Nazarene in Chillicothe.
Other survivors include: three sons, Robert Nickell, Kirksville, Richard Nickell, Chillicothe, and Roger Nickell, Kansas City; three daughters, Thelma King, Lucerene, Glenda Mutrux, Glenwood, Iowa, and Rhonda Shay, Grandview; 16 grandchildren and 12-great-grandchildren.
One granddaughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Pastor Cliff Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery near Dixon.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday.
PETTY
Megan Elizabeth Petty, 16, Holts Summit, died Feb. 4, 2000, in Holts Summit from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
She was born Oct. 1, 1983, in Waukegan, Ill., a daughter of Larry and Paula Kelly Petty. Her father survives in Holts Summit. Her mother, Paula Kelly, survives in Jefferson City.
A sophomore at Jefferson City High School, she worked at Callaway Hills Animal Shelter for several years and was a member of the Veterinary Medicine Explorer Post.
She was a former member of the New Bloomfield Cruisers 4H Club, and of the MMM 4H Club in Jefferson City.
She was a member of the CMVC Volleyball Club and had played on the eighth-grade basketball team and freshman volleyball team.
She was an honor student and a member of the German Club and the Photo Club.
Other survivors include: one sister, Melissa Petty, Holts Summit; maternal grandparents, William and Helen Kelly, Jefferson City; and her paternal grandfather, George Petty, Concord, N.C.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Holts Summit. The Rev. Fred Elskamp will officiate. Private graveside services will be held.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Holts Summit, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
