WIMMER
James John "Jim" Wimmer, 73, Fulton, died March 17, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born March 8, 1926, in Pine Lawn, a son of John and Gertrude M. Rothove Wimmer. He was married Feb. 18, 1946, in Jefferson City, to Dorris Geraldine Hays, who survives at the home.
He was a mechanic for Davis Bus Company, retiring in 1974. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fulton.
Other survivors include: four sons, Gerald Wimmer, Wright City, Lawrence Wimmer, Columbia, Daniel Wimmer, Portland, and David Wimmer, Fulton; four daughters, Shirley Pullen, Lansing, Mich., Yvonne Adams, Fulton, Elizabeth Myers, Montgomery City, and Debbie Deville, California; three brothers, Charles H. Wimmer, Montgomery City, Ben Wimmer, Sedalia, and Eugene Wimmer, Leasburg; one sister, Viola Butzer, Mountain Home, Ind.; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Joe Wimmer, twin infant daughters and one grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. William Korte will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
CARDWELL
Grace Patterson Cardwell, 100, California, died March 17, 1999, at California Care Center.
She was born Oct. 28, 1898, in Miller County, a daughter of Grant and Emma Crane Patterson. She was married in 1918, to Charles Brumley, who died in 1927. She was married in 1930, in Ulman, to Fred R. Cardwell, who died in 1964.
A homemaker, she lived in Miller County all her life before moving to California. She was a member of Ulman Christian Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Cance Cardwell, Jefferson City, and Jim Cardwell, Eldon; two daughters, Barbara Hutchison, California, and Rita Robinett, Russellville; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five children, Churchill Brumley, Kenneth Brumley, Lena Kallenbach, Otho Brumley and Bennie Cardwell.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Gott Cemetery, Ulman.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
MUELLER-ZBYLUT
Mirjam I. Mueller-Zbylut, 74, Fulton, died March 18, 1999, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.
She was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Pottsdam, Germany, a daughter of George and Freida Mueller. She was married March 25, 1950, in Bamburg, Germany, to Anthony A. Zbylut, who survives at the home.
She lived in Germany during the Nazi regime. She attended the University of Bamberg and the University of Erlangen, where she received her Ph.D. in 1950. She became a naturalized citizen Nov. 26, 1952. She was a staff member at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Washington D.C., from 1955-1959. She became chief psychologist of Fulton State Hospital in 1959. In 1971, she became an associate professor of psychology at Westminster College, retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Other survivors include: one son, Mark Zbylut, Glendale Heights, Ill.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fulton. The Rev. William Korte will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
SIMPSON
Helen May Simpson, 79, Abilene, Texas , died March 17, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born May 5, 1919, in Poplar Bluff, a daughter of Humbert and Clara Mauk Duckworth. She was married in 1945, to Emmett Simpson, who died Aug. 27, 1971.
She was a member of Disciples of Christian Church, Poplar Bluff. She was a past member of the Abilene Lions Club.
Survivors include: one son, Edward Simpson, Abilene; one brother, Charles Duckworth, Abilene; and one sister, Carole Schneider, Rocky Mount.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mossman and Hess Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Lawrence Veatch will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8-10 a.m. Saturday.
TYE
Joyce Lorraine Tye, 69, Barnett, died March 18, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 24, 1929, in Kansas City, a daughter of John A. and Nora Main Gaggens. She was married July 15, 1945, in Kansas City, to Everette Tye, who died in 1984.
She worked for Fasco for 11 years, retiring in 1991.
Survivors include: five sons, George Tye, Olean, Roy Tye, Kileen, Texas , Roger Tye, Barnett, David Tye, Columbia, and Terry Gaggens, Henley; four daughters, Sarah Groves, Eldon, Phyllis Millam, Alexandria, Va., Linda Stark, Benton, Ill., and Rose Pitchford, Tecumseh; three brothers, Charles Gaggens and Robert Gaggens, both of Kansas City, and Sonny Gaggens, Washington state; two sisters, Blanche Heider and Sarah Gaggens, both of Kansas City; 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mossman and Hess Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Eldon Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will from noon-2 p.m. Saturday.
BOEHLEN
Kenneth Edward Boehlen, 63, Clarksburg, died March 18, 1999, at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, Ind.
He was born Jan. 15, 1936, in Boonville, a son of William and Anna Simmers Boehlen. He was married Sept. 3, 1980, in Jamestown, to Linda Steiner Blank, who survives at the home.
He attended Schackleford, Mt. Pleasant and Clarksburg schools. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was an independent truck driver for 43 years, hauled for Winebrenner and Delongs, custom hauled lime and fertilizer and was a mechanic for Prestage for four years. He and his wife owned K & L Trucking.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Clarksburg.
Other survivors include: one son, Kelvin Boehlen, Tipton; three daughters, Marla Sue Arnold, Rhonda Hees and Regina Orschelen, all of Tipton; two stepsons, Dennis Blank, Tipton, and Stephen Blank, Clarksburg; his former wife Mary Schlup, Tipton; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Keith Chesterman and the Rev. Ivan Dameron will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Clarksburg.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

OPIE
Blanche Esther Opie, 72, Versailles, died March 18, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Sept. 10, 1926, in Eldon, a daughter of Chester and Edna Smith Apperson. Her mother survives in St. Louis.
She was a corrections officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections and she owned and operated a local business.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Kim Opie, Jefferson City; two sons, Marvin Opie, Versailles, and Randy Opie, Eldon; three sisters, Ruth Brown, St. Louis, Betty Yager, Eldon, and Barbara Rackers, Jefferson City; one brother, Gordon Apperson, Independence; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Frederick R. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today (Saturday).
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
RILEY
Orville Dean Riley, 70, Versailles, died March 18, 1999, near Versailles.
He was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Milan, a son of Orville D. and Abbie M. Robinson Riley. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married June 3, 1977, to Geraldine M. Goers, who survives at the home.
He was superindendent of schools for several area school districts. An Air Force veteran, he served on the State Veteran's Commission and as Post Commander of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was a member of the Missouri State Administrators Association, the American Association of School Business Officials, the Missouri Association of School Business Officials, the Missouri State Teachers Association, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masonic Lodge 320 A.F. & A.M., Versailles, the Northshore Shrine Club, Scottish Rite Masons, York Rite Masons, Moila Shrine Temple, Order of the Eastern Star 410, Versailles, Rotary Club, Phi Delta Kappa, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and was past master of the Manoic Lodge 349, Pollock.
He served as chairman of the Morgan County Democrat Committee, was past president of the Mid-Missouri Democrat Club and served as governor and treasurer of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, near Versailles.
Other survivors include: two sons, Douglas Dean Riley, Florissant, and Ronald Gene Riley, Wichita, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Cathleen Hawkins, Imperial; one brother, Robert Riley, Jefferson City; one sister, Carol Deem, Panama City Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Johnson will officiate. Burial with military honors will be at the Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today (Saturday) at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles, with Masonic services at 5:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children, St. Louis.
AUTENRIETH
Oscar Autenrieth, 88, Fulton, died March 19, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Dec. 6, 1910, in Rhineland, a son of Julius and Lena Geringer Autenrieth. He was married Nov. 8, 1930, to Edna Grimm, who died Oct. 7, 1992.
He retired from Harbison-Walker Refractory in 1961 and lived in Central Missouri his entire life. He was a member of E.U.B.-Methodist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Ruby Land and Linda Penston, both of Fulton; one son, Arnold Autenrieth, Denver; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Autenrieth, and a granddaughter.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Weldon Forman and the Rev. Jerry Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Tebbetts.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
BROCKMAN
Roy H. Brockman, 86, St. Thomas, died March 20, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Feb. 24, 1913, in Boone County, a son of John and Marguerite Thoma Brockman. He was married May 28, 1949, in Jefferson City, to Lidwina Gertrude Wieberg, who died Jan. 17, 1999.
An Army veteran of World War II, he worked as a caretaker and a farmer.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Thomas. The Rev. Don Antweiler will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Knights of Columbus Hall, St. Thomas, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
