FORD

Edna Irene Bower Ford, 96, Columbia, died Feb. 11, 2000, at Boone Retirement Center.

She was born Oct. 24, 1903, in Kyle, Texas , a daughter of Edward G. and Elizabeth Hannah Will Bower. She was married Aug. 1, 1926, in Shelbyville, to Miles Emmitt Ford, who died Feb. 10, 1960.

A graduate of Shelbyville High School and the University of Missouri, she taught school at Ashland Elementary, Vawter Elementary, Rock Bridge Elementary and Union Elementary.

She was a homemaker and a leader of Deer Park 4-H and Gillaspy and was president of the Boone County Extension Clubs, Boone County Extension Council, Boone County Farm Bureau and the Boone County Retired Teachers Association.

She was a member of Little Bonne Femme Baptist Church, Columbia.

Survivors include: one son, Duane E. Ford, Columbia; two daughters, Alene F. Lewis and Bernita F. Bartel, both of Columbia; one brother, Kenneth G. Bower, Cheshire, Conn.; two sisters, Eunice Bower Smith, Columbia, and Orletta Bower Setzer, Springfield, Va.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

One son, Maurice E. Ford, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Little Bonne Femme Baptist Church. The Rev. Randy Germann will officiate. Burial will be in National Cemetery,  Jefferson City.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Boone Retirement Building Fund, 1623 Anthony St., Columbia, Mo.

Arrangements are under the direction of Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland.

FORRESTER

Ella Elizabeth Forrester, 72, Fulton, died Feb. 12, 2000, at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Oct. 11, 1927, in Springfield, a daughter of Samuel and Lena Florence Hartley Hartman. She was married in 1943 in Springfield to Robert Earl Forrester, who died in 1996.

She lived in California for 50 years before moving to Fulton two years ago.

Survivors include: three sons, Richard Earl Forrester and David Wayne Forrester, both of Fulton, and William Gordon Forrester, San Fernando, Calif.; two sisters, Maxine Moore and Minnie Mann, both of Springfield; one brother, Robert Eugene Hartman, state of Illinois; and four grandchildren.

Private entombment will be at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.

HUDSON

William Walker "Bill" Hudson, 84,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 11, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born May 4, 1915, in Lupus, a son of Owen M. and Rose L. Walker Hudson. He was married June 15, 1946, in Kansas City, Kan., to Lucille E. Gray, who died Sept. 15, 1985. He was married March 21, 1987, in Sedalia, to Flora D. Sestak, who survives at the home.

An Army veteran of World War II, he worked for Dean Construction Co. in Sedalia for many years, retiring as superintendent. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Sedalia, for most of his life, serving on the building committee and church council. He was on the area board of Meals on Wheels. He was a member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church at the time of his death.

Survivors include: one stepson, Wayne Looten, Eugene; two stepdaughters, Jane Spalding, Sedalia, and Carolyn Bates, Southlake, Texas ; one brother, Hilliard B. Hudson, Granbury, Texas ; nine stepgrandchildren and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.

One infant son, William Gray Hudson, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Shane Crum will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to Hickory Hill Baptist Church.

MULHOLLAND

Lloyd A. Mulholland, 74, Linn, died Feb. 12, 2000, at his home.

He was born July 24, 1925, in Modoc, Ill., a son of John A. and Mayme Marshall Mulholland. He was married June 28, 1946, to Edna Faye Posey, who preceded him in death. He was married Dec. 7, 1978, to Audrey Schiermeier, who survives at the home.

A farmer and Navy veteran of World War II, he owned and operated Hope Meat Processing Co., Hope, and drove the early child development school bus for Rudroff Bus Co. He was a member of  Oklahoma Church of Christ, Osage County.

Other survivors include: one stepson, Gene Weggeman, St. Charles; two daughters, Caron Leimkuehler, Holts Summit, and Sandra Jones, House Springs; three brothers, Travis Mulholland, Modoc, Melvin Mulholland, Apache Junction, Ariz., and Arlen Mulholland, Belleville, Ill.; three sisters, Wanda Olles, Green Valley, Ariz., and Opal McCreevy and Ada Teppleman, both of St. Louis; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Monday at  Oklahoma Church of Christ. The Rev. Mark Gregor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.

Memorials are suggested to the  Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery Fund or Community Hospice of America, Columbia.

SHULTZ

Calvin Shultz, 73, Swedeborg, died Feb. 12, 2000, at his home.

He was born March 20, 1926, in Bloodland, a son of Homer and Emily Gaede Shultz. He was married Sept. 25, 1948, in Yellville, Ark., to Sophia Bartlett, who died April 20, 1998.

An Army veteran of World War II, he farmed and also worked for 20 years in heating and cooling at Fort Leonard Wood. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Swedeborg, and American Legion Post 195 and VFW Post 4956, both in Crocker.

Survivors include: one daughter, Louise Zweerink, Swedeborg; one sister, Maude Wall, Richland; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

One son, Charles Hammack, died Sept. 29, 1985.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, near Swedeborg. Pastor Doug Jacobson will officiate. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Crocker, and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Lake Ozark Hospice.

SULLIVAN

Ruth Eleanor Sullivan, 91, Fulton, died Feb. 10, 2000, at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born Oct. 17, 1908, in Florissant, a daughter of William A. and Kate Mae Walker Pasley. She was married Dec. 4, 1937, in Boonville, to Earl Timothy Sullivan, who died April 2, 1979.

A 1927 graduate of Auxvasse High School, she attended Northeast Missouri State College for two years. She taught school in Elm Springs and Callaway County and worked at the bookstore at William Woods College and later at the Sports Shop, Fulton.

She was a member of First Christian Church, Fulton. She was a past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge, Fulton, and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Annalee Bowen,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Raymond McCallister and the Rev. Raymond Dunlap will officiate. Burial will be in Auxvasse Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, Fulton.

WILSON

Clarence W. "Bull" Wilson, 75, Linn, died Feb. 11, 2000, at Green Meadows Heal-th Care Center, Linn.

He was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Osage County, a son of Joe and Susie Ware Wilson. He was married May 3, 1952, in Linn, to Jane Frances Voss, who survives at the home.

He owned and operated C.W. Wilson Milk Hauling Business for 47 years until retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. George Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles 2693.

Other survivors include: two sons, Kenneth J. Wilson,  Jefferson City, and William E. "Billy" Wilson, Linn; one brother, George Wilson, Loose Creek; three sisters, Carrie Rodemaker, Mattie Mantle and Josephine Dill, all of Linn; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. George Church. The Rev. Paul Hartley will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the St. George Activity Center.

ALLEE

Gladys M. Allee, 90, Brumley, died Feb. 12, 2000, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.

She was born March 14, 1909, in Brumley, a daughter of Walter and Vernettie McDowell Winfrey.

She was a homemaker and a member of Honey Springs Baptist Church, Brumley.

She is survived by one brother, Gordon Winfrey, Brumley.

One son, Emerson Allee, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday.

ASHFORD

Jesse Ashford, 93,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 13, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born May 17, 1906, in McCool, Miss., a son of Charlie and Lillie Knox Ashford. He was married in 1957 to Freddye Thompson, who died in 1983. He was married Sept. 15, 1984, to Evelyn Glore, who survives at the home.

He attended Lincoln University Laboratory High School and Lincoln University. He worked for the Howard Cook family. He worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue, Income Tax Division, for 17 years until his retirement.

After his retirement, he volunteered as a camera operator for JCTV. He was a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he served as a trustee.

Other survivors include: two stepsons, Edward B. Glore Jr., Los Angeles, and Gregory M. Glore, Kansas City; and two step granddaughters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church. The Rev. Eva C. Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church.
