BECKER
David Becker, 54, Freeburg, died Feb. 20, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 3, 1945, in St. Louis, a son of Joseph and Edna Lovell Becker. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married May 8, 1965, in Freeburg, to Esther Barton, who died Nov. 2, 1982.
He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, the Freeburg Volunteer Fire Department and the Freeburg Lions Club.
He was yard foreman and vice president of Becker Millwork and Hardware, Freeburg, before his retirement in 1996. He then was self-employed for Quaker Window Products Company, Freeburg, as a builder of displays for windows and doors.
Other survivors include: his fiancee, Nancy Cartmell, Vienna; three sons, Todd Becker, Rockie Becker and Dion Becker, all of Freeburg; two brothers, Richard Becker and Delbert Becker, both of Freeburg; six sisters, Joyce Combs and Ronda Luebbert, both of Jefferson City, Kristie Miller and Janet Bax, both of Linn, Rebecca Rackers, Taos, and Tina Benton, Russellville; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, with the Rev. Mike Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:30-8 p.m. today and 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri River Hospice.
FLEXSENHAR
George William Flexsenhar, 71, Jefferson City, died Feb. 20, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born June 7, 1928, in Augusta, Kan., a son of George E. and Marie Turk Flexsenhar. He was married May 16, 1960, in Butler, to Mary Therese Barnthouse, who died Dec. 19, 1993. He was married March 1, 1997, in Jefferson City, to Clorinetta Beasley, who survives at the home.
He was a 1946 graduate of Rich Hill High School and a 1950 graduate of Central Missouri State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
From 1952 to 1964 he owned and operated Rich Hill Insurance Agency, Rich Hill Mining Review Newspaper and Palmer Funeral Home.
An honorary colonel to former Gov. Warren Hearnes, he was appointed by him in 1965 as director of the Division of Industrial Inspections for the Missouri Department of Labor. From 1969-1973 he served as assistant director of Occupation Labor Safety for the U.S. Department of Labor.
From 1976-1995 he owned and operated Booth-Flexsenhar Funeral Home in Rich Hill. From 1985-1994 he served as risk management specialist for Mo-Perm, Inc.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Irwin Sunday School class, Rich Hill Chamber of Commerce, Rich Hill Boy Scouts of America and the Rich Hill Development Corporation.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Lauren Greer, Shelbyville, Tenn.; a step-daughter, Lana Martin, Jefferson City; and four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church. The Revs. Doyle Sager and David Phelps will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, the American Diabetic Association or the American Heart Association.
GANGWISCH
Stella Mae Gangwisch, 89, Jefferson City, died Feb. 20, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born May 3, 1910, in Elston, a daughter of Marion F. and Finetta Smallwood Greene. She was married Aug. 20, 1927, in California, to Theodore Martin Gangwisch, who died Sept. 2, 1988.
She attended California schools. She had been employed with the International Shoe Company, Crown Drug Store and Fisher Drug Store before her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Jerome Gangwisch.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Mark West will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.
KIDWELL
Beula O. Kidwell, 80, Olean, formerly of Barnett, died Feb. 19, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born March 6, 1919, in Barnett, a daughter of Charles and Dixie J. Madole Hees. She was married Oct. 31, 1942, in Oklahoma, to Guy W. Kidwell, who died in 1982.
She worked as a seamstress in the pants factories in Tipton and Eldon.
She was a member of the Barnett Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jean Koebel, Olean; two brothers, Billy Hees, Versailles, and Shirley Hees, Eldon; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant children, Sonny Dale Kidwell and Sudie Kidwell.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Scrivner-Morrow Chapel in Versailles. Burial will be in the Big Rock Cemetery near Barnett.
Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
LEHMEN
Delbert J. Lehmen, 86, Rich Fountain, died Feb. 20, 2000, at his home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1914, in Rich Fountain, a son of Fred and Margaret Klebba Lehmen. He was married Oct. 16, 1943, in Rich Fountain, to Helena H. Brandt, who survives at the home.
He was a farmer and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Rich Fountain.
Other survivors include: three sons, Daniel J. Lehmen, Jefferson City, and John D. Lehmen and Roger Lehmen, both of Rich Fountain; three daughters, Judy Schepers, Jefferson City, Elaine M. Hansett, Mexico, and Sharon Opalka, Overland Park, Kan.; one brother, Norbert Lehmen, Westphalia; one half-sister, Martha Schmitz, Westphalia; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Lehmen and Diane Peck.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Kevin Gormley will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart School.

RODGERS
Ethel Lorene Rodgers, 89, Eldon, died Feb. 20, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
She was born Sept. 29, 1910, in Otterville, a daughter of Robert and Louisa Allison Dinwiddie. She was married 1935 in Sedalia to Myron H. Rodgers, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include: one son, Richard Rodgers, Eldon; and one sister, Velma Rissler, Eldon.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crownhill Cemetery, Sedalia. Jim Phillips will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the Richard Rodgers custodial fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon.
WEATHERMAN
Vernon F. Weatherman, 63, Independence, died Feb. 19, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1936, in Kings City, a son of Virgil J. and Hazel Lee Gilliland Weatherman. He was married to Mary Tunnell, who survives at the home.
He was a target operator for Lake City Arsenal, retiring in December 1998. He was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church, Buckner.
Other survivors include: two sons, Norman R. Weatherman, California, and Stephen W. Weatherman, Roanoke, Va.; two daughters, Connie S. Best, Kansas City, and Brenda L. Weatherman, of the home; two brothers, Orville Weatherman, Independence, and Doyle Weatherman, Higginsville; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. today.

GOBBLE
Frederick Gobble Jr., 72, Jefferson City, died Feb. 21, 2000, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born May 10, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, a son of Fred A. and Effie I. Bridges Gobble. He was married July 10, 1960, in Hannibal, to Nancy Keith, who survives at the home.
He was a Marine Corps veteran. A resident of Central Missouri for the past 40 years, he was a sales representative for the Motorola Co. until 1980. He then was employed by Towner Electronics until his retirement in 1992.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald L. Gobble, Eureka, Calif., and Michael W. Gobble, Jefferson City; one daughter, Pamela J. Cordry, Independence; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Michael Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
