HUMPHREY

Margaret Todd Humphrey, 88,  Jefferson City, died March 4, 2000, at Capital Healthcare Center.

She was born Feb. 18, 1912, in Fayette, a daughter of William and Mattie L. Catron Todd. She was married June 25, 1935, in Fayette, to Carl M. Humphrey, who survives.

A graduate of Fayette High School, she received a bachelor's degree from Central Methodist College in Fayette and studied at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She was a vocal music and English teacher in Adrian, Odessa, Fayette and the  Jefferson City Public Schools, retiring in 1976.

She belonged to the Music Club, Alpha Delta Kappa, AARP, Cole County Area Retired Teachers Association and Chapter H.M. of P.E.O., of which she was a 50-year member. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she participated in choir and was president of the Christian Women's Fellowship and past president of the Lydia Circle.

Other survivors include: two sons, William Todd Humphrey, Dayton, Ohio, and Earnest Carl Humphrey, Topeka, Kan.; one sister, Jane Smith; and one grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Lawrence Veatch will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Fayette.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church.

PARMAN

Norma Dene Parman, 67, Camdenton, died March 3, 2000, at Lake Ozark Retirement Center, Osage Beach.

She was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Warrensburg, a daughter of Glenn and Elizabeth F. Maze Baldwin.

She was a resident of the Lake area for the past 20 years and lived in Camdenton for the past six years. She was a clerk at Ozarkland Retail Store in Camdenton and a member of First Baptist Church, Camdenton.

Survivors include: one son, James "Mike" Parman, Blue Springs; one daughter, Debra Masoner, Kansas City; one sister, Glenna Graves, McLemoresville, Tenn.; one brother Marion Lee Baldwin, Concordia; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Thomas G. Ford will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sunset Hills Cemetery.

ROLLINS

Van William Rollins, 40,  Jefferson City, died March 4, 2000, at his home.

He was born April 11, 1959, in  Jefferson City, a son of Carlos W. and Barbara Ann Dooley Rollins. His mother and stepfather, Barbara and Bernard Kempker, survive in Wardsville.

A 1977 graduate of  Jefferson City High School, he co-owned and operated Blackwell's Garage from 1976 to 1999. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He served on the Russellville Volunteer Fire Department and the Russellville Engine Show Committee.

Survivors include: one son, Benjamin W. Rollins,  Jefferson City; two daughters, Jennifer L. Rollins,  Jefferson City, and Kimberly A. Rollins, Russellville; two brothers, Steven W. Rollins,  Jefferson City, and Gregory W. Rollins,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Leann Korsmeyer, Wardsville, and Staci L. Fowler, Taos; one stepsister, Pam J. Rost,  Jefferson City; and maternal grandparents, Dan and Margie Jones, Lake Ozark.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Greg Higley will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Camp Quality.

SATTLER

Rosey Faye Sattler, 98, Versailles, died March 3, 2000, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

She was born Nov. 20, 1901, near Versailles, a daughter of John T. and Clara Naomi Berkstresser Rumans. She was married Dec. 26, 1920, to Arthur W. Sattler, who died Feb. 19, 1975.

A homemaker, she was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church near Versailles and later transferred her membership to the Freewill Baptist Church in Florida.

Survivors include: four daughters, Lenora Kidd and Nelda Spaulding, both of Versailles, Peggy Phillips, Houston, Texas , and Laura Fern Stumpf, Jacksonville, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth G. Sattler and Wallace A. Sattler, one grandson, one great-granddaughter and one great-great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. William Johnson and the Rev. Diane Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to Habitat for Humanity or a charity of the donor's choice.

VAUGHT

Katheryn L. Vaught, 85, Tipton, died March 4, 2000, at Tipton Manor.

She was born July 29, 1914, in Worth County, a daughter of John and Sadie Matthews Lambert. She was married to Glen Porter Vaught.

An elementary school teacher and employee of Weber Shoe Co., Tipton, she was a member of First Christian Church, Tipton, and Eastern Star.

Survivors include: two daughters, Peggy Basinger and Bonnie Howard, both of Tipton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One grandson preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Tipton. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, Tipton.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton.

Memorials are suggested to Tipton Manor.

LARM

Effa Jane Larm, 74,  Jefferson City, died March 4, 2000, at Villa St. Joseph, Overland Park, Kan.

She was born May 2, 1925, in Boonville, a daughter of Ernest L. and Margaret Mudd Sloan Barlow. She was married Oct. 23, 1946, in Boonville, to Herbert Edward Larm, who died March 4, 1983.

A graduate of Ss. Peter and Paul High School, Boonville, she was employed with the Missouri Public Service Commission until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary and Daughters of Isabella, Boonville.

Survivors include: two sons, Stephen Edward Larm, Omaha, Neb., and Gregory Barlow Larm, St. Louis; one daughter, Rebecca Jane McGovern, Kansas City; one brother, William Barlow, Boonville; two sisters, Alice Larm, Boonville, and Dorothy Rogers, Phoenix; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Greg Higley and the Rev. Donald Wallace will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Herbert and Jane Larm Memorial Scholarship Fund at Helias High School or to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

EIDSON

Silas Eugene "Pete" Eidson, 52, Macks Creek, died March 4, 2000, at the Breech Regional Medical Center, Lebanon.

He was born Jan. 17, 1948, in Macks Creek, a son of James A. and Nera Seaton Eidson. His mother survives in Macks Creek.

He was a lineman for Laclede Electric Co-op for 23 years. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Macks Creek.

Survivors include: one son, Toby Eidson, Lebanon; three brothers, James Allen Eidson Jr. and Jerry Wayne Eidson, both of Macks Creek, and Gary Lynn Eidson, Camdenton; two sisters, Jannie Sue Wallace, Camdenton, and Judy Jay Riley, Sedalia; and one grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. March 7 at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Dean Rooffener will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Macks Creek.

Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek.

HEATH

Michael Harrison Heath, 40, St. John, died March 5, 2000.

He was born Feb. 24, 1960, in St. Louis, a son of Oliver and Dorsa Vanderpool Heath. His mother survives in St. John.

He was a musician and a member of Craftsman Masonic Lodge 717 A.F. & A.M., St. Louis.

Other survivors include: his fiancee, Mary Carter; one daughter, Michelle Kixmiller,  Jefferson City; and one grandson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Craftsman Masonic Home 717 A.F. & A.M.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the Masonic Home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or to the ASPCA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ortmann Funeral Home, St. Louis.

JAEGERS

LaVerne Jaegers, 80, Linn, died March 4, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born July 6, 1919, in Bonnots Mill, a daughter of Lee R. and Mary P. Schmitz Smith. She was married Aug. 24, 1940, in Bonnots Mill, to Norman M. Jaegers, who died Nov. 22, 1994.

A lifelong Osage County area resident, she received a teaching degree from Warrensburg State Teachers College. She was a homemaker and co-owned and co-operated Jaegers General Store, Frankenstein. She was active in the poultry and trucking business.

She was a member of St. George Church, Linn, St. Ann's Sodality, and a past member of Our Lady of Help Church, Frankenstein. She was past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a member of St. Marys Health Center Ladies Auxiliary, the Osage County Republican Committee and Nightingale China Painters. She was a volunteer for Osage County Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include: three sons, Vernon Jaegers,  Jefferson City, James Jaegers Sr., Linn, and Wayne Jaegers, Bonnots Mill; six daughters, Joan San Miguel, Houston, Texas , Mary Jaegers, St. Louis, Norma Ashmore, Bonnots Mill, Linda Ejchler and Karen Rush, both of  Jefferson City, and Carla Bratcher, St. Charles; one sister, Juanita Kremer,  Jefferson City; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

One son, Carl Lee Jaegers, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. George Church. The Rev. Paul Hartley will officiate. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery, Linn.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. George School, Linn, or to the St. Marys Health Center Ladies Auxiliary.
