SHACKLEFORD
James E. Shackleford, 68, Lake Ozark, died March 4, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Iberia, a son of Henry P. and Mamie Humphrey Shackleford. He was married Aug. 14, 1955, in St. Louis, to Marcia Groves, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated a real estate business and was a developer and builder. He was a member of Iberia Masonic Lodge; a Shriner of the Moola Temple, St. Louis; VFW Post 6514, Lake Ozark; and Marine Corps League and American Legion, both in Jefferson City. He flew children to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and was founder of Ducks Unlimited at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Other survivors include: one son Jimmy Shackleford Jr., Lake Ozark; two daughters, Tamara Stone, Lake Ozark, and Cynthia Conley, Eldon; one brother, Herb Shackleford, Bull Head, Ariz.; one sister, Brook Tharp, St. Louis; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Ozark Christian Church, Lake Ozark. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
Memorials are suggested to cancer research or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
RICHTER
Irene Richter, 70, Richland, died March 4, 2000, at Lake Ozark Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 7, 1929, in Pulaski County, a daughter of Samuel and Elsie Becker Mitchele. She was married May 15, 1947, to Stephen Richter Jr., who survives at the home.
She was an inspector for Lee Jeanswear.
Other survivors include: five sons, Stephen Richter III, Marshfield, Michael Richter, Crocker, Andy Richter, Eldon, Frank Richter, of the home, and Paul Richter, Richland; six daughters, Barbara Sanchez, Brandon, Fla., Mary Duncan, Iberia, Kathy Jensen, Crocker, Elsie Thessen, Taos, Theresa Richardson, Jefferson City, and Evelyn Sue Rodden, Brumley; one sister, Ina Heatwole, New Caney, Texas ; and 29 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, John David Richter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Colonial Funeral Chapel, Richland. The Rev. Brian Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

GRAY
Maurice B. Gray, 96, Jefferson City, died March 6, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 26, 1903, in Pittsburg, Kan., a son of Edward T. and Lenora A. Sanders. He was married to Irene Gray, who died June 30, 1966.
He attended school in Pittsburg. He had been employed as an automotive mechanic for many years.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

KIRCHHOFF
Abbie Gray Inglish Kirchhoff, 93, California, died March 6, 2000, at California Care Center.
She was born June 1, 1906, in Benton County, a daughter of John M. and Myrtle Williams Inglish. She was married Sept. 5, 1929, in California, to Eddie Kirchhoff, who died Jan. 30, 1961.
She was employed at Latham Hospital and then worked at Spaulding Realty, both in California. She was a member of First Baptist Church, California. She was a 50-year member of Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk, where she taught Sunday School, served in vacation Bible school and was a WMU officer.
She was a member of the Friendly Neighbors Club, McGirk.
Survivors include: one daughter, Verna Wolfrum, California; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two step great-grandsons.
One infant daughter, Virginia Lee Kirchhoff, died April 15, 1941.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Greg Morrow and the Rev. Gary Schulte will officiate. Burial will be in McGirk Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

KELLER
Leland E. Keller Sr., 68, Sunrise Beach, died March 6, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
He was born March 10, 1931, in St. Louis, a son of Walter J. Sr. and Claudia A. Williams Keller. He was married Aug. 19, 1950, in St. Louis, to Diane Fern Martin, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated Tourchlight Restaurant, Greenview, and was a member of Open Door Christian Fellowship Church. He lived in the Lake area since 1971.
Other survivors include: one son, Leland E. Keller Jr., Greenview; two daughters, Deborah Ann Freeman, Camdenton, and Sandra Lee Lee, Sunrise Beach; one brother, Walter J. Keller Jr., Arnold; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. The Rev. Edward Freeman will officiate.
MOELLER
Marie A. Moeller, 88, Linn, died March 7, 2000, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.
She was born Oct. 6, 1911, in Cole County, a daughter of Frank and Anna Volmer Wilburs. She was married Oct. 8, 1929, in Cole County, to Paul A. Moeller, who died July 16, 1993.
A lifelong area resident, she attended school in Wardsville. She was a homemaker and worked at Linn Manufacturing for several years.
She was a member of St. George Church, Linn, where she was past president of the Sewing Circle. She was a member of the Western Catholic Union and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
Survivors include: two sons, Albert H. Moeller and Ronald C. Moeller, both of Linn; three daughters, Betty A. Braun, Osage Bend, Gladys C. Fritchley, Keytesville, and Frieda H. Buchta, Russellville; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Two grandsons preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. George Church. The Rev. Paul Hartley will officiate. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery, Linn.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
HAAR
Kathryn Ellen Haar, 68, Holts Summit, died March 4, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 19, 1931, in Boonville, a daughter of Wilbur and Ola Blanche Bolch Haley. She was married Nov. 21, 1953, in Jefferson City, to Theodore Haar, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she was a 1949 graduate of Boonville High School. She had attended St. Peter Catholic Church and currently was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Holts Summit.
Other survivors include: one son, Gary Michael Haar, Port Neches, Texas ; six daughters, Jackie M. Trippensee, Deborah K. Haar, Laura A. Kliethermes and Suzanne E. Haar, all of Jefferson City, Linda D. Osborn, Bethany, and Patricia H. Wolf, Syracuse, N.Y.; one brother, Melvin E. Haley, St. Louis; two sisters, Marian Sims, Midland, Texas , and Patricia A. Haley, Jefferson City; and nine grandchildren.
Private family services will be today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Quinn and the Rev. Patrick Pierceall will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew Catholic Church Building Fund.
DeMARIANO
Charles A. DeMariano Sr., 87, Chamois, died March 6, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 14, 1912, in St. Louis, a son of Rosario and Christina Gaglardi DeMariano. He was married June 23, 1956, in St. Louis, to Leona M. Hausman, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated A-1 Auto Electric, Hillsdale, from 1948 until his retirement in 1992. He moved to Osage County in 1992.
Other survivors include: one son, Charles A. DeMariano Jr., Chamois; one daughter, Christine Bridgett, St. Charles; one brother, Pete DeMariano, St. Louis; three sisters, Petrina Sgroi, state of California, Mary Mattson, St. Ann, and Sadie Salzman, O'Fallon; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday in St. Louis. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, and from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Collier Funeral Home, St. Ann.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
TUCKER
Grover Tucker, 74, Dixon, died March 4, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born March 5, 1925, in Campbell, a son of William and Mirtie Standfield Tucker. He was married April 5, 1951, in Mountain Home, Ark., to Helen Ringer, who died Nov. 30, 1991.
He was a member of the General Baptist Faith. He operated Tucker Mobile Service Station, Dixon, had a scrap iron service, and was a self-employed mechanic until his retirement.
Survivors include: three sons, Don Tucker, Dixon, Mark King, Vienna, and Jason King, Owensville; two stepsons, Mike King and Carlos King, both of Dixon; one daughter, Misty Bull, Dixon; one stepdaughter, Jeannie King, Owensville; one brother, James Tucker, Galesburg, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One stepdaughter, Joyce Patrick, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. Harold Withers will officiate. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday.
