SCHLEER

Irma Mae Schleer, 66,  Jefferson City, died March 29, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born April 18, 1933, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Jacob B. and Magdalen Markway Kolb. She was married April 30, 1955, in  Jefferson City, to Paul David Schleer, who survives at the home.

A homemaker, she also worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and was a processing clerk with Public Employees Benefit Service Corp.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Immaculata Club, Daughters of Isabella and Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

Other survivors include: two sons, Paul D. Schleer Jr., Warrensburg, and Mark J. Schleer,  Jefferson City; four daughters, Jean Poe, Surprise, Ariz., Mary Davis, Columbia, and Catherine Long and Victoria McElwaine, both of  Jefferson City; six brothers, Herbert Kolb, Hot Springs Village, Ark., and James F. Kolb, Cletus Kolb, Charles J. Kolb, Paul H. Kolb and Robert Kolb, all of  Jefferson City; one sister, Grace Mary Vignola,  Jefferson City; and 12 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Timothy Tatro and Msgr. Charles H. Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Helias Foundation or St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.

SCOTT

Bess Scott, 92,  Jefferson City, died March 29, 2000, at Oak View Living Center.

She was born April 2, 1907, in Reynolds County, a daughter of John and Ger-trude Matkin Hanger. She was married June 12, 1926, in Ellsinore, to William Thomas Scott, who died March 9, 1991.

A homemaker, she attended schools in Reynolds County. She taught school in Reynolds County area schools and was active in the Democratic Party.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Hawthorn Garden Club.

She is survived by nieces and one nephew.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Ellington Memorial Gardens, Ellington.

Visitation will be from 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church.

WALKER

Shirley Lucille Walker, 66,  Jefferson City, died March 30, 2000, at her home.

She was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Washington , a daughter of Chat H. and Viola Duncan Spurgeon. She was married Dec. 24, 1951, in Belle, to Chester Walker, who died March 17, 1991.

A member of First Presbyterian Church, she worked for the  Jefferson City Public Schools as a cook and lunchroom hostess from 1971 to 2000.

Survivors include: one son, Casey P. Walker, Holts Summit; three sisters, Nancy Hern, Cabool, Wilma Treece, Auxvasse, and Ruth Ann Kemp, Holts Summit; two brothers, David Spurgeon, Houston, and Mark Spurgeon, Sallisaw, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Rudolph W. Beard will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

LAUBERT

Alfred Elmer Laubert, 78, Owensville, died March 29, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Dec. 13, 1921, in Gasconade County, a son of William F. and Wilhemine Neese Laubert. He was married Sept. 3, 1955, in Owensville, to Elizabeth Collier, who survives at the home.

A truck driver in the agricultural industry, he was an usher at First Baptist Church, Owensville. He was treasurer of the Dixon Baptist Association for 17 years and a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.

Other survivors include: one son, William Laubert, Alfred, N.Y.; two daughters, Karen Balcer and Alfreda Laubert, both of  Jefferson City; one sister, Neoma Balkerbusch,  Jefferson City; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Owensville.

Visitation begins at 3:30 p.m. today.

KAMP

Delphine Kamp, 86, Millersburg, died March 29, 2000, at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico.

She was born March 13, 1914, in Flint Hill, a daughter of Fred and Carrie Roettger Rothermich.

A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fulton, she owned Kamp Trailer Court in Millersburg for 31 years. She worked as a nutritionist for University of Missouri Extension for 10 years, retiring in 1978.

Survivors include: one son, Eugene Kamp, Millersburg; and two granddaughters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. William Korte will officiate. Burial will be in Millersburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

GALBRAITH

Jerald R. "Jerry" Galbraith, 63, Stover, died March 29, 2000, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

He was born June 21, 1936, in Moose Lake, Minn., a son of Harold D. and Lucille Sorenson Galbraith. His mother survives in Silverton, Ore. He was married June 3, 1995, to Carol A. Lindsey Capps, who survives at the home.

He was a logger in Oregon for several years. He later worked for Clarkston Construction Co. in Missouri.

Other survivors include: two sons, Eddie Galbraith, Stover, and Darrell Galbraith, Harrisonville; three daughters, Kathy Holden, Holden, Ronda Galbraith, Passaic, and Debra Jean Galbraith, Stover; two stepsons, Elliott Turpen, Rocky Mount, and Thomas Capps, Stover; one stepdaughter, Teresa Lamm, Tipton; two brothers, Donald Eugene Galbraith, Tye Valley, Ore., and Ronald Galbraith, Detroit, Ore.; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Lynn Galbraith, and one grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Ted Haynes will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Saturday.

CLOUD

Marilyn M. Cloud, 67, Stover, died March 30, 2000, at her home.

She was born March 17, 1933, in Horton, Kan., a daughter of Frank and Maude Brewer. She was married May 28, 1950, in Kansas City, Kan., to Lawrence R. Cloud.

She was a retired pharmacist technician.

Other survivors include: two sons, Larry Cloud and Harold Cloud, both of Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Vicki Saunders, Panama City, Fla., and Tammy Hamilton, Stover; and several grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Versailles United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gary DeWitt will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

BUCHHOLZ

Jennifer Paige Buchholz, infant daughter of Stephanie Buchholz, Steedman, died March 29, 2000, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.

She was born Jan. 22, 2000, in  Jefferson City. Her father, John Ferguson, survives in Des Moines, Iowa.

Other survivors include: one brother, Joseph Buchholz, Steedman; her maternal grandparents, Steve and Donna Buchholz, Steedman; her paternal great-grandmother, Rosie Buchholz, Steedman; and her maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Underwood, Warrenton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Lewis Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.

BRANSON

Howard W. Branson, 79, Linn, died March 30, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born July 1, 1920, in Linn, a son of Waymon and Mary Yates Branson. He was married to Mary E. Bennartz, who died June 7, 1991.

A lifelong resident of Osage County, he worked at International Shoe Co. and DeLong's,  Jefferson City.

Survivors include: one son, Roy H. Branson, Linn; two brothers, Leslie Branson, Chamois, and Oscar Branson, Taos; and one sister, Rose Wilson, Linn.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Lyle Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Linn Public Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

ALDERMAN

Regina Delores Alderman, 82, Iberia, died March 29, 2000, at St. Marys Hospital, Blue Springs.

She was born March 17, 1918, in Big Piney, a daughter of John and Rosa Pearl Tucker Haley. She was married March 16, 1935, in Waterloo, Ill., to Mark "Bud" Alderman, who died April 20, 1986.

She owned and operated Maverick Bar and Restaurant near Tuscumbia, as well as other restaurants in the area.

Survivors include: two sons, Bud Alderman, Iberia, and Robert Alderman, Tuscumbia; three daughters, Carol Ann Musick, Tuscumbia, Debra Rayhart, Lee's Summit, and Cheryl Holmes, Iberia; 14 grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

One son, Mark Allen Alderman, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Iberia.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
