DUFFIELD

Anna Marie Duffield, 93, Eldon, died April 15, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Sept. 8, 1906, in Eldon, a daughter of Emanuel and Mary Scheidegger Blaser. She was married Sept. 28, 1935, in Tuscumbia, to Henry Martin Duffield, who died July 23, 1978.

Except for one year of living in Canada when she was a child, she was a lifelong Eldon resident. She attended Central Missouri State Teachers College (now University), Warrensburg, and taught in Etterville, Hoecker and other area rural schools.

She also taught Sunday School for many years at the First Christian Church, Eldon, where she was a member. She was a member of the Eldon Friendly Neighbors.

Survivors include one son, Ben Duffield, Tuscumbia.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Walter Simpson will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Prairie Foundation, P.O. Box 200, Columbia, Mo. 65205 or to First Christian Church, Eldon.

HATFIELD

Donna Hatfield, 64, Cahokia, Ill., formerly of Crocker, died April 14, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

She was born June 24, 1935, in Crocker, a daughter of Dorman and Mary Bryan Bays. She was married Jan. 4, 1964, in St. Louis, to Curtis Hatfield, who survives at the home.

She was a cashier with a grocery store for 20 years before retiring in 1997.

Other survivors include: three sons, William C. "Jake" Hatfield, West Plains, Chester J. Hatfield, Dupo, Ill., and Craig Joel Hatfield, Cahokia; four daughters, Cheryl Lynn Tyberendt, Creve Coeur, Carolyn Jean Hatfield, St. Louis, Carla Jean Morris, West Plains, and Christina June Radford, Belleville; one brother, Charley Bays, Farmington; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One son, Mark Allen Perkins, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Crocker. Burial will be in Crocker Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

LAUGHLIN

Nevlee H. Laughlin, 83, Linn, died April 13, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 30, 1916, in Osage County, a daughter of Jesse and Gusta Pointer Hassler. She was married Nov. 28, 1935, in Linn, to Lee J. Laughlin, who died Nov. 13, 1974.

A lifelong area resident, she attended the Flora School. She worked at Linn Manufacturing for more than 25 years.

She was a member of Fairview Church of Christ, Linn.

Survivors include: one son, Daniel Lee Laughlin, Linn; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fairview Church of Christ. Eric Braman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.

Memorials are suggested to the Fairview Church Cemetery Fund.

LUETKEMEYER

Bonnie Christine Luetkemeyer, 76,  Jefferson City, died April 13, 2000, at Community Hospital, Munster, Ind.

She was born Jan. 30, 1924, in Clinton, Tenn., a daughter of Early and Ollie Cook Daugherty. She was married Nov. 1, 1943, in Baltimore, to Robert H. Luetkemeyer Sr., who died Dec. 29, 1972.

A 1942 graduate of Norris High School, Norris, Tenn., she was an executive secretary for the Missouri Supreme Court.

She was a member of First Baptist Church,  Jefferson City, the Legal Secretary's Association and the AARP.

Survivors include: one son, Robert H. Luetkemeyer Jr.,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Karen C. Luetkemeyer,  Jefferson City; and two sisters, Devota Crane, Baltimore, and Joyce Little, Griffith, Ind.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Doyle Sager will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or Missouri Right to Life.

ZEMKE

Gilbert Zemke, 72, Lake Ozark, died April 14, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.

He was born Feb. 19, 1928, in Chicago, a son of Charles and Minnie Base Zimke. He was married Aug. 28, 1974, in West Chicago, to Georgianna Korda, who survives at the home.

He and his wife owned and operated the Lucky Motel in Lake Ozark for 15 years. He also worked at Fasco in Eldon for 15 years and at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Osage Beach.

He was a member of Elks Lodge 2517, Osage Beach,

Other survivors include: four sons, Kenneth Noesges, Columbia, William Noesges, Kansas City, Kan., Thedore Noesges, Davenport, Iowa, and Lee Zemke, Moline, Ill.; two daughters, Margurite Baker, Moline, and Mary Pease, Lake Ozark; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. Elks Lodge 2517 will officiate. The body will be cremated.

Visitation will be from 3-7:30 p.m. Monday.

WARD

Duane E. Ward, 69, Eldon, died April 15, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born July 20, 1930, in LaPlata, a son of Harry and Susie Euritt Ward. He was married Sept. 17, 1970, in Columbia, to Idella Murray, who survives at the home.

He was a work leader at Fasco Manufacturing Co., Eldon. He was a past member of Rocky Mount Lions Club.

Other survivors include: two sons, Rick Ward, Shakopee, Minn., and David Ward, Springfield; two daughters, Elaine Duryea, Elkhart, Ind., and Lisa Meissner, Springfield; two sisters, Irmal Thomson, San Bernardino, Calif., and Anna Mayer, LaPlata; three brothers, Donavon Ward, LaPlata, Thomas Ward, Tumbling Shoals, Ark., and Gaylord Ward,  Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. H. Jay Quinn will officiate.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Lions Eye Tissue Foundation.

BLANC

Helen M. Blanc, 82, Camdenton, died April 14, 2000, at Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton.

She was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Perryville, a daughter of Leon and Mary Sutter Hoffman. She was married Sept. 24, 1938, in Perryville, to Francis W. Blanc, who survives at the home.

A resident of the Lake area since 1966, she was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Camdenton.

Other survivors include: four sons, Jerry Blanc, Donald Blanc and Eugene Blanc, all of High Ridge, and Raymond Blanc, St. Louis; three sisters, Ethel Baer, Lucille Hayden and Ileen Catoor, all of Perryville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

One daughter and two grandsons preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Rev. James Fuemmeler will officiate. Burial will be in Shrine of St. Patrick's Cemetery, Laurie.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton, with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Masses at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

COLVIN

James L. Colvin, 57, Versailles, died April 15, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born July 21, 1942, near Versailles, a son of Dorsey L. and Josephine Sumner Colvin. His parents survive in Versailles. He was married July 26, 1963, to Carolyn S. Cornett, who survives at the home.

An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was employed at Fasco Industries, Eldon.

He was a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church, near Versailles.

He also taught the Awanas Class and drove the church bus.

He served on the Versailles City Council for two years.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Angela Marie Rayl, Versailles; one brother, Michael D. Colvin, Versailles; two sisters, Linda Headley, Barnett, and Teresa Stafford, Eldon; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. William Johnson, the Rev. Leslie Howard and Charlene Ollison will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

Memorials are suggested to the Oncology Fund, in care of St. Marys Foundation, 100 St. Marys Medical Plaza,  Jefferson City, Mo. 65101.
