TEMPLETON
Earl Templeton, 93, Macks Creek, died May 10, 2000, at Christian Health Care Center, Hermitage.
He was born July 17, 1906, in Etterville, a son of Charlie and Flora Hankins Templeton. He was married in 1932 to Maude Baker, who died in 1945. He was married Aug. 12, 1950, in Carrollton, to Hazel Willis, who survives at the home.
He was employed as a mill worker at Alberts Milling Co. in Kansas City until his retirement in 1964. He was active in the Slater and Marshall communities and schools.
A Greenthumb worker, he was involved in the C.C. Camps in the early 1940s. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Dan Wilson, Macks Creek, and Charles Templeton, Buffalo; five daughters, Geneva Peres, Grants Pass, Ore., Betty Vivian Surface, Independence, Anna Mae Dickerson, Turney, Joan Klas, Cascade, Idaho, and Sally Sue McKee, Kansas City; one brother, Nile Templeton, Marshall; one sister, Olettia Griffel, Osawatomie, Kan.; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Two sons, James Patton Wilson and Frankie B. Wilson, one daughter, Flora Lou Henderson, and one granddaughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Macks Creek. The Rev. John Park will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek.
WARREN
Robert L. "Bob" Warren, 78, Holts Summit, died May 12, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Richland, a son of George and Jennie Davis Warren. He was married Nov. 23, 1996, in Jefferson City, to Mildred Antweiler, who survives at the home.
He attended school in Richland and was an Army veteran of World War II. A resident of Central Missouri for most of his life, he was a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 1984.
He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church, Holts Summit; the DAV, Oliver Buehrle Post 17; the VFW, Roy Sone Post 1003; and the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ronnie Warren, state of Florida, and Robert Warren Jr., Richland; two daughters, Valerie Smith, Rogerville, and Debbie Bullock, state of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. J. Arnold Bickel and the Rev. G. Dale Norfolk will officiate. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery, Richland.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Union Hill Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
FRENCH
Services were April 15 for Claire R. French, 95, Sterling, Mass., formerly of Westphalia, who died April 13, 2000, at Villa Maria Convalescent Home, Plainfield, Conn.
She was born Aug. 29, 1904, in Westphalia, a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Bode Rehagen. She was married June 22, 1946, in Boston, to Wellington French, who died in June 1990.
She worked in the personnel department of W.T. Grant Co., as a secretary at Sterling Memorial School and as a librarian at Sterling Public Library. Serving on the Sterling Republican Town Committee, she was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Rosary Society.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
One son, Peter J. French, preceded her in death.
Services were at Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Oneco, Conn.

JORDAN
Kathy J. Jordan, 53, Jefferson City, died May 12, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born June 2, 1946, in Independence, a daughter of Bernard and Dolores Tence McConnell Burnam. Her stepfather, Franklin L. Burnam, survives in Holts Summit. She was married Nov. 29, 1968, in Durant, Okla., to John J. Jordan, who survives at home.
A graduate of Russellville, Ark., High School, she was a real estate broker for 25 years, as well as a home builder and florist. She was a member of the Missouri Association of Realtors; the Jefferson City Area Board of Realtors, serving as president in 1987; and the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce. She received the Realtor Associate of the Year Award in 1982.
She was a charter member and past president of the Breakfast Rotary Club. She also was district coordinator for the Group Study Exchange and host family and local coordinator of the Rotary Youth Exchange. She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Laura Wurster, Peoria, Ill.; one son, J. Jason Jordan, Jefferson City; one sister, Rose Mary Cole, Duvall, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rev. Daniel J. Merz will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
BIERWAGEN
Max E. Bierwagen, 74, Sunrise Beach, died May 13, 2000, at Good Shepherd Home, Versailles.
He was born May 15, 1925, in Flagler, Colo., a son of the Rev. and Mrs. F. Bernhard Bierwagen. He was married to Mildred Helmkamp, who died in 1965. He was married to Carol Jungermann, who survives at the home.
He worked for Bristol-Myers-Squibb in New York as director of pharmacological research, then as a laboratory auditor for Bristol's facilities worldwide. He was instrumental in establishing Peace Lutheran Church, Greenview, and belonged to Rolling Hills Golf Club, Versailles.
Other survivors include: two sons, David Bierwagen, Syracuse, N.Y., and Daniel Bierwagen, Mountain Home, Ark.; one daughter, Jan Young, Price, Utah; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church. Robin Fish will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Memorials are suggested to Peace Lutheran Church or the Community for Christ Outreach Center, Sunrise Beach.
NICHOLS
Spencer Eugene Nichols, 68, Columbia, formerly of Holts Summit, died May 11, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Columbia, a son of Harley and Mildred Nichols. His mother survives in Columbia.
A graduate of Hickman High School, he served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Sheet Metal Union in Columbia until his retirement.
Survivors include: one son, Quintin Nichols, Columbia; two daughters, Tracey Arnold, Jefferson City, and Mitzi Nichols, Gainesville, Texas ; three sisters, Lurline Griggs, Lois Lorton and Laura Lee Stone, all of Columbia; and five grandchildren.
One daughter, Tina Morris, died in 1996.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Holts Summit. The Rev. G. Dale Norfolk will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
YATES
Roy Nicholas Yates Jr., 51, Tipton, died May 10, 2000, at The Oaks at Tipton Manor.
He was born May 29, 1948, in Jefferson City, a son of Roy N. Sr. and Grace F. Coon Yates.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Yates, Cuba; two daughters, Ramona Hall, Springfield, and Lisa Marie Yates, Cuba; three brothers, the Rev. James Yates, Sacramento, Calif., Bobby Yates, Gravois Mills, and Robert Yates, Laurie; and three sisters, Marjorie Bruns, state of Oklahoma, Geraldine Schanuth, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Pauline Turner, Laurie.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Skiles Jr. will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Services are under the direction of Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton.
JOHNSON
Betty J. Johnson, 68, Gravois Mills, died May 10, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
She was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Lansing, Mich., a daughter of Charles and Hilda Hiatt Oliver. She was married in 1975 in Aurora, Ill., to Walter R. Johnson, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, William James, Gravois Mills, and Robert Virgil James, Webbersville, Mich.; one daughter, Vonnie Kathryn James, state of Michigan; and one brother, Charles Oliver, state of Kansas.
Her remains were cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
HILL
John E. Hill, 68, Sunrise Beach, died May 13, 2000, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City.
He was a son of Ed and Ella Hill. He was married to Agnes Christian Hill, who survives at the home.
A graduate of Windsor High School, Windsor, he had lived in Raytown and Kansas City before moving to Sunrise Beach in 1983. He retired from the Kansas City Police Department in 1982 after serving 25 years as a patrolman and pilot for the police helicopter unit.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Climax Springs, and was director of the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Board for nine years.
Other survivors include: three sons, John W. Hill, Kansas City, James L. Hill, Raymore, and Mark Hill, Oak Grove; one sister, Marion Hancock, Greenview; two brothers, Charles Hill, Grapevine, Texas , and Donald Hill, Warrensburg; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will be in Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
