KLEPAC

Richard Lee Klepac, 60, Holts Summit, died June 13, 2000, at his home.

He was born May 23, 1940, in Kansas City, Kan., a son of George and Evelyn McDermott Klepac. His mother survives in Wellsville, Kan. He was married May 16, 1993, in Columbia, to Teresa Howard, who survives at the home.

He was a 1958 graduate of Wyandotte High School, Kansas City, Kan. He received a bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State, Pittsburg, Kan.; a master's degree from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn.; and a doctorate in speech and dramatic arts from the University of Missouri-Coumbia.

He was employed as a theater professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia for 20 years; at Cottey College, Nevada, for seven years; and at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut for three years. He also worked at Lincoln University and Columbia College.

He was a 13th degree Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Nevada.

Other survivors include: four daughters, Susan Silvanis, Oakland, Calif., Sara Stevenson, Chicago, Angela Lechtenberg, Ashland, and Melissa Askin, Bellingham, Mass.; one son, Christian Klepac, Iowa City, Iowa; one brother, George Klepac, Kansas City; one grandson and three step-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Holts Summit. The Rev. Donald W. Lammers will officiate.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the Dr. Richard Lee Klepac Scholarship Fund.

KUNZ

Evelyn Brook Kunz, 75,  Jefferson City, died June 14, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 29, 1925, in Leeds, England, a daughter of Arthur and Elsie Mountain Brook. She was married Dec. 21, 1944, in Leeds, to Franklin Alfred Kunz, who died Oct. 12, 1998.

She worked as a claims examiner for 30 years with the Missouri Division of Employment Security, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Deborah G. Scott, Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Roy A. Kunz, Olean, and Howard A. Kunz, Holts Summit; one sister, Shirley Carter, Pudsey, England; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott B. Musselman will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

LOWE

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Florence, for Bernice Adella Dohrman Lowe, 87, Cincinnati, Ohio. She died Jan. 29, 2000, in Cincinnati and was cremated.

The Rev. Mike Miller will officiate at the service. Inurnment will be in the St. John's Church of Christ Cemetery.

She was born May 3, 1912, in Stover, a daughter of Henry and Lena Duvel Dohrman. She was married May 28, 1936, to Lewis LeRoy Lowe Jr., who died May 2, 1999.

She graduated from Stover High School in 1929 and taught for several years in Stover. She attended Central Missouri State Teachers College. She and her husband lived in Cincinnati for more than 50 years, and she taught fourth grade there from 1957-1973.

Survivors include: one daughter, Marilyn Holliday, Bay Village, Ohio; one son, Mike Lowe, Canton, N.Y.; one brother, Elmo Dohrman, Dallas, Texas ; and three grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.

LOWE

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Florence, for Lewis LeRoy Lowe Jr., 86, Cincinnati, Ohio. He died May 2, 1999, in Cincinnati and was cremated.

The Rev. Mike Miller will officiate at the service. Inurnment will be in St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 16, 1913, in Blue Springs, a son of Lewis L. Sr. and Belle Newby Lowe. He was married May 28, 1936, to Bernice Dohrman, who died Jan. 29, 2000.

A 1929 Blue Springs High School graduate, he attended college in Fayette and Warrensburg. He worked as a welder in Missouri. In the early 1940s he moved to Cincinnati and worked for Seagram's Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Ind., until he retired.

Survivors include: one daughter, Marilyn Holliday, Bay Village, Ohio; one son, Mike Lowe, Canton, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.

THIXTON

Troy A. "Butch" Thixton, 64, Versailles, died April 17, 2000, at his home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Boonville, a son of Charles and Helen Hickam Thixton. He was married June 15, 1971, in Miami, Okla., to Ella Adams, who survives at the home.

He worked as a sheet metal journeyman.

Other survivors include: three sons, Charles Thixton, Pueblo, Colo., Erich Thixton, Lexington, Neb., and Clay Thixton, Versailles; three stepsons, Christopher Smith, Springfield, Curt Smith, Kansas City, and Mark Smith, Belton, Texas ; one daughter, Helen Cammeron, Hutchinson, Kan.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tipton Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. David Faulkner will officiate. He was cremated under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles.

WRIGHT

Ruby D. Wright, 86,  Jefferson City, died June 15, 2000, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born Aug. 9, 1913, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Emanuel E. and Ella Hader Scott. She was married Feb. 25, 1933, in  Jefferson City, to Cecil A. Wright, who died Nov. 5, 1976.

She attended  Jefferson City schools. A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, she was a homemaker. She was employed by at the Missouri Department of Insurance for several years.

She was a member of First Church of God, where she taught Sunday School.

Survivors include: one son, Larry G. Wright, Holts Summit; one daughter, Joyclyn D. Doyle, Holts Summit; two sisters, Anita M. Scott and Martha M. Merrill, both of  Jefferson City; two brothers, Herbert L. Scott, Columbia, and Ralph D. Scott,  Jefferson City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Gary Murrell will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.

TICKELL

Suzanne H. Tickell, 63, Sunrise Beach, died June 14, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center.

She was born June 4, 1937, in Chippewa Falls, Wis., a daughter of Robert and Winifred Rooney Hartzell. She was married Aug. 20, 1959, to Edward B. Tickell Jr., who survives in Crowley, Texas .

She was active in the Sunrise Beach Little Theatre, acting in several shows and directing numerous children's productions. She was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Laurie.

Other survivors include: two sons, Patrick Tickell, Fort Worth, Texas , and Timothy French, New Orleans; two daughters, Rebecca Surovik, College Station, Texas , and Winkie Myers, Arlington, Texas ; three brothers, Robert Hartzell, Liberty, Texas , James Hartzell, Mansfield, Texas , and Richard Hartzell, Hurleyville, N.Y.; one sister, Mary Faldoe, Conroe, Texas ; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Fred J. Barnett will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.

Memorials are suggested to the Suzanne H. Tickell Memorial Fund, c/o Sunrise Beach Little Theatre, P.O. Box 53, Sunrise Beach, Mo. 65079.

KRONE

James A. Krone, 79, Westphalia, died June 15, 2000, at Westphalia Retirement Center.

He was born July 9, 1920, in Vienna, a son of Benjamin F. and Bertie Pendleton Krone. He was married April 30, 1949, in Westphalia, to Martha Catherine Scheppers, who survives at the home.

He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. A graduate of Vienna High School, he received a bachelor's degree and master's degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a teacher for 41 years at Fatima High School and the Missouri Department of Corrections at Algoa. He also farmed in Maries County.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, Knights of Columbus Council 1171, American Legion Post 544 and the University of Missouri Alumni Association. He was a member of the National Education Association, the Missouri State Teachers Retirement Association, the Westphalia Historical Society, and a charter member of the Westphalia Lions Club.

Other survivors include: two sons, Paul B. Krone, Champaign, Ill., and John J. Krone, Dunlap, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia. The Rev. Robert A. Kurwicki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School, Westphalia.

DONLEY

Gloria Jean Donley, 77, Tipton, died June 15, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Clarksburg, a son of Jesse C. and Laura L. Groves Martin. She was married May 31, 1942, in Centertown, to Leland Donley, who survives at the home.

A member of Tipton Community Baptist Church, she taught for 31 years, 21 of which in the Tipton School System. She also was a member of Women's Club and Retired Teacher's Association. She taught Sunday school for many years and worked in the AWANA Program for youth at Tipton Community Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: two sons, Van Edwin Donley, Boonville, and Arthur Kent Donley, Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Laura Gayle Willis, Wichita, Kan., and Kaye Ellen Schuster, Tipton; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tipton Community Baptist Church. The Rev. Randy DeVille and the Rev. J.D. Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton.

Memorials are suggested to the Jean Donley Scholarship Fund.

SCHMIDT

Henrietta H. Schmidt, 91, Tipton, died June 17, 2000, at Tipton Manor Nursing Home.

She was born March 16, 1909, in Fortuna, a daughter of Peter J. and Lillie Yontz Schmidt.

A member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, Tipton, and the Altar Sodality, she was a housekeeper for St. Andrews Catholic Rectory.

Survivors include cousins.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrews Catholic Church. The Rev. Henry Reichert will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday at Conn Funeral Home, Tipton, with an Altar Sodality rosary at 3 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m.
